Y/n's pov.  

" Oh my God! " Mom squeals as Vylad enter the house with his walking cane.

" Woohoo!, Little brother in the house! " I cheer.

" I'm still getting the hang of it " he said and head over to living room with the help of Cassie.

" Well it's a miracle!, I got us some wine! " Mom said then enter the dining room to the cabinet.

" Umm, I'm not allowed to drink alcohol while I'm on my medication " Vylad said.

" Who says it's for you? " I asked as I put my hand on my hip and a wooden spoon in the other hand.

" I bought that wine, it ain't for you either " my jaw drop as mom walk pass me to the dining room.

" Y/n the sauce " Gene said who's boiling the pasta noodles.

I gasp and turn around quick to the pot, I continue to stir and lucky it didn't burn on the bottom so I exhale in relief.

" Need any help in the kitchen? " Cassie asked as she walks in.

" Yes, you take over " I pass her the spoon.

" I didn't mean cooking, I don't know how to cook– "

" Thank you, be back in a minute " I take off the apron on me then toss it on the counter.

I walk over to the fireplace where the wrapped up box is then turn around to little brother who's looking at me.

" What? " He asked, I approach him and pass the box.

" Here " I said.

He takes it and unwrap it, he chuckles to see the small box.

" What is this? " He asked, I sit down next to him.

" You owe me five grand " I said.

He opens it and see the diamond ring, he looks at me with a shock expression.

" If you propose, if not then you owe me " I said, he closes it and snicker.

" Are you crazy?!, We're not even together yet " he whispers.

" I'm your sister so yes I am crazy " I said.

" Shouldn't you be the one getting married? " He asked.

" I'm waiting until Gene's prepared dumb dumb, so you keep that ring until your prepared to propose " I said.

" We don't even know if we're going to be together " he said, I grab his face and turn it to me.

" You will, and I'll make that happen " I said.

" Your scaring me " he said then push my hands off.

" You should be " I said then get up from the couch.

" Anyways, I need wine "

" Still a slow poke " I said as I slide backwards on my roller skates and my hands in the pocket of my hoodie.

" Don't you have anything else to do other than bullying me? " Vylad looks up at me as he walk with his cane in a normal speed.

" I'm your big sister, it's what I do " I said and sip my juice box.

" And him? " He gesture his head to my right where I see Gene holding my arm while he's on his skateboard.

" Please, he goes wherever I go " I said.

" Not really a choice for me either " Gene said and I peck his cheek.

" Mom told me to watch over you while you exercise and Natalie told me the same thing to make sure you do and there will be improvement by the end of two months " I said, he snickers and then stop as I nudge Gene.
