Third person POV
I know you have probably read a lot of stories and seen a lot of films and seen that the avengers are always bright and rarely low and are always talking to eachother and having fun pretty much. I'm here to tell you that's not true.
It was about a year after the battle of New York and all the avengers eventualy moved into the Avengers Tower, they al had their own PTSD, Trauma, and Anxiety attacks. They all had to adjust to living with eachother and find something that worked.
You may be wondering what exactly they had to make work.
Well it started a few weeks after everyone moved in.
They were all sitting around and talking. Tony was not having a good day that day and wasn't really up for much but he wanted to try and be hospitable. It was around christmas time and they were all talking about gifts.
"I think I may get Fury a giant bear just to mess with him." Clint smirked. Everyone snickered. Tony however, had thought back to the giant bear he got Pepper for christmas last year. And that led to him thinking about when his house was blown up and she was put in danger.
His chest started to tighten and his eyes became glassy. "Tony, what about you?" Steve asked. Tony didn't hear him. He didn't even remember that he was in the room. "Tony?" Bruce asked. The next thing they knew Tony started having a full blown panic attack.
Everyone rushed to his side and tried to calm him down. It took a while but after some instructions from Jarvis on what to do they got his breathing normal and he was in a somewhat calm state of mind.
That led them to learning everyones triggers. Tony had a protocol that Jarvis started that studied their vitals and the conversations and what was going on around them whenever their vitals spiked or they had any type of Mental health related attack.
All the avengers had access to this list of triggers so they knew what to and what not to mention. They also decided they would need some sort of system because everyone has those days when they don't want anyone to talk to them.
So Natasha suggested Color Coded accessories. Everyone was on board with the idea. If you wore a red braclet, headband, or bandana that meant you didn't want to talk at all and you were having one of those days.
Yellow braclet, headband, or bandana meant that you didn't mind small talk but you weren't about to go start a conversation. Green Bracely, bandana, or headband meant that you were having a good day and you were down to talk. Blue or Nothing meant you were having an unusually great day.
Sunglasses meant you were hungover or you were sporting really bad headache and that everyone should keep their voices down. Face masks meant you were sick and everyone should stay a safe distance away before the virus spread and they had to quarantine in their rooms. (insert author smirk)
They also eventually added the grey accessories. Which meant that the wearer was unusually annoyed that day and may commit murder if you got on their nerves.
Natasha wore that one the most....
As they got more and more members they passed on this system and the protocols and everyone agreed with them and respected them. It worked for everyone.
Then came the day where a certain James Buchanan Barnes moved in. After Steve explained the system to him he was always wearing a red braclet. They all felt for their teammate but nobody could do anything if he didn't want to talk, they had to respect that.
Then came along a certain energectic Spider-Child. He got the system explained to him and he of course was always wearing Green and Blue accessories and sometimes sunglasses for the occassional headache or sensory overload.
They added headphones just for him. Headphones meant he was having a heightened sense day. Where his senses were on 22 instead of 11.
Peter quickly noticed the super soldier who always had on a red braclet. Everyone told Peter not to talk to them but one day it was only Peter and Bucky in the tower and Peter was bored. Peter saw Bucky sitting on the couch with a red bracet and bandana on and sat next to him.
"H-hi Mr.Sergent.Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes Sir." Peter said. Bucky muttered a Hi back. "I-i know you're wearing a red bandana so that means you don't wanna talk but is it ok if I talk to you and you don't have to talk back?" Peter asked.
Bucky shrugged and nodded. Peter smiled. Peter talked to bucky for a while until the team came back. Then he went to talk to them to stop bothering bucky. It went on like that for the next few days and eventually bucky put on a yellow bandana. But not until after the team left.
"Hi Mr.Bucky." Peter said sitting on the couch. "Hi Peter." Bucky said. "Woah! You're wearing a yellow bandana today! That's so cool!" Peter smiled. Bucky nodded. "Well since you wanna talk can I just say you have a really cool metal arm." Peter said.
"You think so?" Bucky asked. Peter nodded. "Its awesome." Peter said. "Well it reminds me of Hydra so I don't like it." Bucky said. Peter sat in thought for a moment. "What if we decorated it?" Peter asked. Bucky looked confused.
"I could paint over the red star and we could put magnets on it!" Peter said excitedly. Bucky was on board with the idea and a few hours later his arm had an Avengers symbol instead of a red star, and it was covered in different magnets. The avengers came back and saw the two having a light conversation and smiled at Buckys change in braclet.
Gradually Bucky opened up more to Peter. And the team was happy that if he wouldn't talk to them, that he would talk to someone.
And then one day the unthinkable happened. Bucky was wearing his green band all day. Then a day turned into a week. And a week turned into a month of green and blue bands. Everyone was happy for him and Bucky was eternally grateful to Peter. The first person to make him feel normal in a long time.

BONUS SCENE!
Bucky woke up on a completely normal day and he felt more energized than he had in a long time. So he decided to wear his blue band. "Morning." He greeted coming into the common room. Everyone greeted him back and he noticed that everyone had on either blue or green bands. Which was a rare sight.
"Why is everyone so excited today?" Wanda asked. "It could be that Peter is coming over for the first time in forever." Clint said. Everyone nodded. "When's he gonna get here?" Bruce asked. "Boss. Mr.Parker has arrived." Friday said.
"About now." Tony answered bruce. When they elevator dinged they all looked over to see the usually blue banded boy with a sad look on his face. "Peter. Color?" Loki asked. Peter held up his wrist and they all silently gasped when they saw he was sporting a red band.
They wanted to talk to him but they had to respect his wishes.
For the next couple of days Peter was mostly in his room with a red band on. One day while most of the team was training, Bucky slipped away to Peter's room. He softly knocked on the door. "Come in." He heard Peter's unusually quiet voice say.
Bucky came in and sat next to him. "H-hi Mr.Spider-Man Peter Parker Sir." He said joking about the irony of this. "Hi." Peter whispered. "I-i know you're wearing a red bandana so that means you don't wanna talk but is it ok if I talk to you and you don't have to talk back?" Bucky said.
Peter shrugged and nodded and as Bucky rambled next to him about the exact same thing Peter did months ago when the roles were reversed, Peter couldn't help but crack a smile.
He may have had a shitty life. But he had a pretty great family to help him through it.
like halfway through this i thought about making peter 18-20 and making this romantic winter spider
