I'm sat at a bar waiting for my wife billie to come back for the bathroom
Me and bil came to the bar just because we where bored and wasn't sure what to do
I space out so bad I didn't even realise that Billie had got back
But she sat a seat away from me?
I look at her with confusion as she just winks
"Hey, what is a gorgeous person like you doing all alone out here?" She asks me
Ohhh this is how we are gonna play it
"I could ask you the same thing" I shrug
"Mind if I buy you a drink?" She asks
"Hm, sure. A coke and whiskey please" I say to the bartender
"So, what do you do for a living?" She asks trying to fight a smile and she sits next to me
"I just do my brand deals here and there and I'm a clothes designer" I shrug
"Oh my, that's a lot you got going on there young lady, mind if I get your number?"
"Hm, not to sure on that one" I shrug
"Your Not Single?"
"Oh I am, I'm just waiting for the right one to come around" I shrug
"And what if your looking at the right one?" She replies and winks
"Mhmm, and what if I'm not?"
"May as well try, come on let me get that number of yours" she elbows me a little
"Ma'am is this lady harassing you because I can't get security if you like" the bartender asks while putting down my drink
"No, it's nothing it's just my wife being a weirdo" I laugh
"Ok... but if you need me to do something give me a shout. If it's some sort of forced situation " he says not convinced and whispering the last sentence
I grab billies hand and show it's to him as well as mine
"Matching promise ring? And matching wedding ring?" I say
"Oh and she has my wegging vows tattooed onto her back" I say and he looks shocked
"Oh and our daughters name tattooed on the back of our necks" I say and shrug
"Ok" he replies
"Thank you, now try not to come of as homophobic because there is a woman over there being annoyed by a random man and you didn't feel to do anything, just the homosexual couple" I say getting serious
"can you calm down ma'am, your going cause a scene all because you wanted to act like a slut infront of your so called wife" he says with attitude
I watch billie stand up from her seat and look at him dead in the eyes
"What did you Just call my wife" she grits through her teeth
He doesn't reply
"I said what did you call my wife!" She yells and slams her fist on the bar
"A slut" he shrugs and she grabs my drink and throws it at him and he gasps at the coldness
"I suggest you apologise and get her a new drink immediately or you won't be walking out of this place" she demands
"And what are you gonna do about it?" He replies
She throws the glass at his head and it shattered from the contact
She jumps over the bar and grabs him by the colar
"That is now way to talk to a woman! And especially my WIFE!" She yells in his face
She punches him in the jaw as I winced a little
"You self centred son of a bitch!" She yells at him obviously not finished with him
She swings for him one last time and he fall unconscious to the floor
She looks around to see everyone strong at her
"What the fuck are you looking at!" She yells and they all go back to what they where doing
She jumped back over and sits back next to me
"So can I get that number now?" She asks and I laugh
"Let's get outta here" I say and grab her hand as we make our way out of the building
We walk to her car as she opens the door for me as I get in and she does the same
Her obviously not intoxicated she begins to drive off
Not to sure where we are going but I didn't really care
I was with my wife and that was all that mattered
A few minutes later we see the flashing blue lights and the sirens
"Shit" Billie Mutters As she pulls over
The police star stop behind us and begins to walks up
"Billie what's going on?" I say worried as I'm not great with the police
"It's ok, I've done nothing wrong. Just don't panic" she grabs my hand for reassurance
The police knocks on the window as she rolls it down
"It's everything ok in here?" He asks
"Yes me and my wife where just going for a drive, sir" she says with a little smile
"How much have you had to drink tonight?" He asks with a raised eyebrow
"Nothing sir"
"Why can I smell it then?" He asked not convinced
"That's me, I've had a few" I pipe up
"Did I ask you?!" He semi yells and it makes me jump slightly
"No sir" I shake my head

"Ma'am can you please step out of the car for a moment?" He asks Billie
"What why?" She says confused
"I said step out of the car" he raised his voice a little and she sighs but does so
"Have you got your license and registration on you tonight?" He asks her
"Yes it's in the glove box, y/n could you grab it please"
I reach for the glove box before I'm being yelled at
I look at the police officer and he has a gun pointed at me
"Did I tell you to move!" He yells and I throw my hands up
"No sir"
"Step our of the vehicle and the two of you place your hand on the front of the car!"
I quickly get out and does as he says and so does billie
She looks over at me and realising I'm terrified
"This is Not Right, I will get him done" she mouths to me
"Are you two communicating!" He yells
He walks over and grabs billies hands and slams her into the car and begins to cuff her
"What are you doing! You have no right to do this!" She yells at him
I see more blue flashing light driving down the road
"Y:n go get them" she signals to the other cop car
I run in the middle of the road and the car immediately stops and a lady steps out
"Ma'am is everything ok?" She asks obviously realising how scared I am
"No this officer has pointed a gun at me and cuffed my wife! For no reason" I say on the verge of tears
She follows me to our car and realised what going on
And the other police man suddenly looks scared
"Officer what reason do you have to cuff this young lady?" She asks
"She was drunk driving" he says
"What I haven't had a single drop of alcohol tonight?" Billie argues still against the car
"Have you tested her?" The lady asks
"Not yet, I was going to" he says worried
I watch as Billie pulls her arms from out of her back
"Your Not a police man! With there dollar store ass cuffs! Your Just homophobic"
"Sir what station do you work at?" The lady asks and holds onto her gun
"Copy cat Station" he states
"That shut down a year back, place your hands on the car" she says and he does so
"You are under arrest for distress of citizens and for fraud" she says as she cuffs him
I immediately ran to billie as she pulled me into her arms
"Thank you for your time ladies, you can continue your night and I'm sorry for any commotion caused" she gives us a smile and takes the man to her car
Billie Leads me to the car in silence as she opens the door for me and closes it behind me
She walks round and gets into the car herself before taking a big breath in and letting it out
"Are you ok baby girl, I know your not great with the police?" She turns to me and asks
The truth was that I was uneasy with police because my step dad was there since I was 2 and so he was my father figure and he was the most loving man I could imagine
But when I was 13 I was in the car with him and we got pulled over and he was accused of kidnapping me and made to go at the front of the car like he did billie and I was freaking out
And then I tried to call my mom for help because I was Young I had no idea what to do
And so the police thought it was a weapon and he shot my stepdad right infront of me
And he didn't do anything about it , he just watched him bleed out and when I tried to run to him the police man took me in his car and took me to the station for my mother to collect me
And when he found out that he was my step dad and it was a phone my mother pressed charges against him and he was fired and sent to jail
Oh and the reason he was shot? You may ask
My step dad was black, my step dad was African but was an American citizen
And since that day I have been terrified of the police
"Yea... I think so" I look up at billie with a sad smile
"Come here" she said and pulled me into another hug and I let a few tears fall from my eyes
"I thought he was going to shoot you" I sniffle after pulling away
"I know mama, but he didn't and he's gonna go to jail and that's all we have to focus on" she says with a smile
"Yea" I say with a slight nod of my head
"Do you wanna head home? I have a feeling you want to go back to Delilah"
(Delilah being our 1 year old daughter who was with the babysitter"
"Yea please" I nodd
She starts the car back up and interlaces our fingers as she begins to drive home
