"Steve I need your help! Open up the fricking door!"

Steve shot up from his sweaty bed like the flash had hit him. His unplanned nap interrupted as he raised his eyebrows in confusion while the banging at his bedroom door kept going.

"Steve Rogers how dare you ignore me?!"

Nat?

Steve rubbed his face with his hands. "What are you doing here Nat?" He groaned.

"I need your help. Open up the door." She answered.

"With what?" He asked uninterested before throwing himself down in the warm sheets again.

"I'll tell you if you open up."

"How did you even get in?"

"Your mom let me in. Now open!"

Steve sighed loudly, knowing that Nat heard him as he pushed himself up from the bed and with tired steps walked over to his door, opening it a little hesitant.

Outside stood Natasha, arms crossed over her chest and a bored facial expression. Her shoulder-long hair hanging straight and her eyebrows in a confused frown.

She eyed the blond's muscular form up and down before meeting his tired eyes. "You look like shit."

"Thanks." He answered sarcastically before turning around, returning to his bed again.

Nat watched him confused before looking around the room a bit, taking in her surrounding before stepping inside.
"Bad day?" She asked.

"You have no idea."

Natasha nodded slowly. "Sam told me what happened." She said after a while. "Heard it was a hell of a scene."

Steve didn't answer, he just covered his eyes with his hand, still trying to wake up from his little nap.

"Have you talked to Bucky?" She asked after a while.

"No." He responded quietly before removing his hand, placing it behind his head instead. "Have you?"

"Yes."

Steve nodded again.

"And that's actually why I'm here." She explained, making her way farther into the room and sat down in Steve's desk chair. "Bucky refuses to come to the party and help me with the decorations. So I need you to do that instead."

Steve wrinkled his forehead. "Party?" He asked without sitting up.

Natasha looked at him like he was stupid. "Uh...yeah? The party for Stark. Remember?"

Steve's gaze got stuck in the corner of his room, his mind working like crazy as the memory came back to him.

He had totally forgotten Tony's birthday!

"Shit.." he groaned and threw his hand over his eyes again. "This day can't possibly get any worse." He whined, wishing that the sheets would just suck him in and make him disappear.

"What exactly happened today?" Nat asked as she looked through Steve's stuff uninterested. "According to Bucky, you guys made up." She said.

"It's not Bucky." Steve explained tiredly.

Nat looked at him, now very curious about what her friend had on his mind. "Then what is it?" She asked.

Steve groaned.

"C'mon." She murmured encouragingly. "You can tell me anything."

"I've known you for what, two weeks?" Steve pointed out.

Natasha rolled her eyes. "Still. You can tell me anything."

The blond looked at her untrustful for a few seconds, only to receive a very smug and overly happy smile, where she was sitting with her arms resting at the backrest of the chair.

"Fine." He muttered, making her shine up with a very pleased look on her face.
"But you can't tell anyone!" He warned.

"Or what?" She challenged.

"Please..."

"Fine."

She sat up from the chair, moving to place herself on the comfortable bed sheets in front of her friend. Crossing her legs and leaning back on her hands.
"I won't tell anyone."

Steve nodded thankfully before sitting up a little bit. This felt so ridiculous. And strange. He hadn't know Nat for a very long time, almost two weeks to be exact.
He knew nothing about her. Only that she was one of the most popular girls in school, captain of the cheerleaders, best friend with all the popular kids, and had a huge crush on his friend Bucky Barnes.

Yes. That's it.

But now, even though he didn't know her so well, he was going to tell her that he had almost tongue fucked her best friend's mouth.

"I may have done the most stupid thing in the whole world." He began a little awkwardly, not knowing how he was supposed to say this.

"O-kay?" Natasha asked. "Haven't we all?"

"Well yes but, no."

"This isn't going so well."

"No."

"Just tell me for fucks sake." Nat groaned impatiently.

Steve scratched the back of his head, not sure about how to explain himself after he said this. "I kissed him."

Nat raised his eyebrows. "Who?"

"You know who."

"Ew, Voldemort?"

Steve couldn't help but chuckle at that. "No! Stark!"

Natasha exhaled in relief with her hand on her chest. "Thank god..Voldemort would have been so-...wait what!" She yelled, now realizing what he had told her. "You kissed Tony!"

"Shhhh!" Steve whispered in panic. "Not so loud!" His glare shifting from the door to the girl on his bed.

The redhead followed his sight in confusion. "What? Who would hear?"

Steve swallowed before cracking a small nervous smile. "No one...sorry." he apologized.

Natasha raised her eyebrow before a small smirk appeared on her lips. She leaned forward a bit, lowering her voice. "So...you and Stark?"

"No."

"What do you mean no? You kissed him, which means that you did it because you wanted to, right?" She asked like it was the most obvious thing.

"That's just it. I-I don't know why I did it. I'm straight and-"

"-wait? I thought you were bisexual?" The redhead interrupted, making Steve look at her with a questionable look.

"Why would you think that?" He asked, a little shocked.

"Um...it's pretty obvious. I'm friends with three gay guys. I know a gay when I see one." She explained.

"Well I'm not."

"Oh c'mon, cut the bullcrap Rogers." She groaned and tossed her head back, landing on the other end of the bed. "I mean it's so obvious why you would kiss Stark. He's hot, funny and very loyal when he put that side to it."

"Why aren't you dating him then?" Steve snapped, making Tasha lift her head with a bored look.

"Because he's my friend, and I'm amining at Barnes right now."

"He's your friend too."

"Oh my god stop it! Why can't you just admit that you're gay!"

"Shhhh!" Steve hushed and threw his pillow on her, nervously looking at the door again. Sweat starting to form on his skin.

Natasha removed the pillow from her face irritatingly, throwing it back at him just as hard. She blew a loop of hair away from her face, pouting irritated before following his eyes again. Not understanding why he was so damn stubborn.

Wait.

"Steve?" She asked, now a little more gently.

The blond turned his head to her, not meeting her eyes while he innocently played with the end of his duvet.

His innocent and unsure movements made Natasha's stare soften and she slowly sat up again, knowing that this was serious. There was something he was hiding, something serious. Because if there wasn't, he would just admit that he liked Tony. He would know why he kissed him and he would definitely tell her more about it.

"Is there a reason why you don't want to be gay?" She asked with a soft voice.

Steve bit his lip, not knowing what to answer at that.

"I have nothing against being gay." He said after a short while.

The redhead nodded. "Does someone else?" Natasha asked, nodding towards the door. "Someone living in this house?"

Steve rested his head against the palm of his hand, eyes closed as he took deep breaths. He didn't know if it was safe to tell her this. But he needed to get it out of his system.

"My parents are homophobic." He finally said with a quiet voice. So quietly Natasha had to lean forward in order to hear what he had said.

"Oh.." she then said. "I-I didn't see that coming.."

Steve snorted humorlessly. "Me neither when I found out about it. I heard my dad talk shit about lgbt and stuff like that. I was straight then, so I didn't worry about it." He explained with a low voice.
"But these couple of years...they have been a hell." He groaned.

"I can understand that." Natasha said with a small frown on her face.
"How long have you been lying?"

"I don't know." He responded, rubbing his hand through his hair to make it messy before standing up. "I-I just can't be gay...I..I can't disappoint them." He mumbled. "Maybe I'll accept it in the future but-but now." He leaned against the wall and threw his head back. Banging it painfully against the hard material. "I just...I just can't."

Natasha hummed sadly before sitting up, turning so that she was right in front of him.

"I get it Rogers. But you can't hide forever. You can do whatever you want but sometimes...you have to make a choice." She said softly. "I'm not telling you to keep doing this 'I'm a straight boy', cause you're obviously not. And I'm not saying that you should do something you're not comfortable with either. But you should try and accept that you can't force yourself to be something you're not."

Steve looked at her while biting his lip thoughtfully. Eyes deep blue while he was watching her with a sad wrinkle on his forehead, thinking through what she just had told him.

"I know.." he answered. "But I think I'll feel better with my parents accepting me than being myself."

"Tony can you please stop working on your stupid project and come with me." Bruce groaned as he was leaning against the wall with a bored expression on his face.

"Why? Where are we going?" Stark asked, still not looking up from his lab surface.

His deep brown eyes were covered by a pair of lab goggles, and his clothes protected by a white lab coat while he was working on the last assignment. Their teacher had given him permission to stay and work after school while everyone else had left for the weekend.

But of course, Tony stayed. It was his birthday after all, so this was kind of a birthday gift for him.

"Home." Bruce answered with a bored voice.

"Why? I have nothing to do there anyway. I'll rather stay here." The black-haired said dryly while leaning over the flat surface,  inspecting the reaction of two different liquids that he had mixed. He was sitting on the floor with his hands under his chin, focusing on his task with full concentration.

"It's a surprise." Bruce sang cheerfully, trying to get his friend's attention. But he only received a raised eyebrow and a snort.
"I'm serious." Bruce groaned, walking up to the genius and placed his hand on Tony's shoulder. Bending down a little so he could get a look at what the younger guy was doing.

"I don't like surprises." Tony answered dryly.

"You love surprises." Bruce said back, now just as occupied with watching the liquid as Tony was. "How much did you put in there?" He suddenly asked.

"Two spoons."

Bruce raised his eyebrow. "You're supposed to add two and a half."

"No."

"Yes."

"Don't tell me what to do."

Bruce let out a small laugh before turning quiet again, watching his friend carefully, knowing that what he waited for wasn't going to happen. Of course this wasn't an easy task because it could end very badly if you put too much.

After a few minutes of nothing, Bruce gave up and sneakily grabbed the spoon, adding a little bit more of the dangerous liquid.

Tony wrinkled his forehead when the normal yellow color suddenly turned green out of nowhere.

"You should stick to your computers Stark."

"Shut up."

Bruce patted Tony's shoulder teasingly before literally pulling him up from the floor. "Now come with me, pleeeease." He whined, getting tired of his friend's stubbornness.

Tony groaned irritated before giving in, pulling his hand rather aggressively from Bruce's grip. "Fine, but I can walk by myself."

Bruce held his hands up in defense jokingly, watching as his grumpy friend walk past him and placed the lab tools back where he took them from. As he was done and had left the lab coat somewhere in a corner, they made their way through the empty corridors, their shoes being the only sound that was heard.

Bruce threw a few innocent glances at his friend, watching how Tony was deep in thoughts without taking his eyes off the road in front of them. The brown-haired was very excited to see Tony's reaction as they got home. The house was probably already done and ready for a big and marvelous party that would keep the neighbors awake for hours as hours. Knowing Tony, he assured that after a few drinks he would turn completely crazy.

Tony Stark was a party dude. Everyone knew it. And knowing the parties Natasha planned, this was going to be a hell of a night.

In a good way.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Tony asked after he had thrown a few glares at the other guy, who was looking a little bit too eager where he walked.

"I'm not looking at you." Bruce smiled, opening the school exit and stepping out in the warm sunlight.

"Yes you are. And it's creeping me out." Stark mumbled as he followed his friend down the stairs and towards the car, which was placed at the nearest parking lot.

"Oh please, it's not like you have been staring creepily at people in our school for minutes." Bruce said sarcastically while sitting down in the driver seat, starting the car as Tony finally had closed the door.

The black-haired one smirked. "That's different."

"How?"

"I did it for a reason." Tony answered nonchalantly.

"Getting laid?"

"Exactly."

They looked at each other with knowing looks before chuckling lightly and turned their attention to the road instead.

******

After a few long minutes, they finally pulled up outside the Stark family's house, taking in the enormous and beautiful building, which looked very empty and dark because there was no one home.

Or that's what Tony thought.

The genius stepped out of the car casually, not paying so much attention to the details nor the small looks he got unknowingly from inside. Even though Bruce thought he was going to die in excitement, he kept his face cold and his voice as calm as usual.

They exchanged a few comments as they walked up the stairs, talking about their usual video games stuff and computers.

"Hey by the way, I've never been inside your house before." Bruce lied. "Is it okay if I come in for a quick game now that we're talking about it?"

Tony had his hand resting on the door handle, not sure if he should answer yes or no. But finally, he shrugged his shoulders and pulled the door open.

"Sure...why no-"

He was cut by a huge yell of "surprise!" and music starting to rumble from inside, making his eyes widened as he almost jumped out of his skin. He raised his eyebrows and his jaw fell open a bit while he was met by his house filled with decorations, balloons, noises, and people.

A lot of people.

"What the actual f-" he whispered, not knowing if he should be happy or furious. Bruce who was laughing behind him threw his arm around his friend.

"Happy birthday buddy!" He said with a huge smile on his face.

Tony just stood there almost like he was paralyzed, looking at all the decorations and people. "What the-" he mouthed and stepped inside, only to receive another huge hug.

"Happy birthday Tony!" Pepper cheered, throwing her arms around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder.
Tony wrapped his arms unsurely around her, still very shocked about the whole situation.

"Wow we actually made the Tony Stark speechless." Clint exclaimed smugly after Pepper had released the genius from her bear hug.

"You sure did." Tony mumbled, a small smile now growing on his lips, still looking up at all the decorations that were placed in the room and the lamps and confetti. "I mean, what the fuck! How did you even get in here?" He asked jokingly, now walking in farther and really realizing how many people were there.

It was literally the whole school!
People he knew and people he knew a little less. But still!

"Ask Natasha." He heard a happy and rather dark voice come from the side and when he turned his head. He spotted Thor standing with a drink in his hand.
And Rhodey. And Pietro. And a lot of other people he couldn't help but smile at.

"Of course it was Natasha's idea." He said with a roll of his eyes.

"Shut it Stark. I knew you would love it." She said while walking up to him, giving him a cup with some strong-smelling strawberry liquid. He accepted it with a smirk and took a sip, sighing as the burning alcohol ran down his throat.

Natasha smiled before hugging him tightly. "Happy birthday asshole." She mumbled and gave him a friendly kiss on his soft chin.

Tony's smirk only grew as he pulled away, mouthing a thank you which she responded with a blink of her eye.

With the drink in his hand, his friends at his side, and an epic mix of Freaky Friday and High Hopes started playing in the speakers, he raised his glass in the air.

"Let's get drunk!"

****
Again...correct me. I was a little tired writing this cause it's FUCKING 2 AM!
