Y/n POV
I had just gotten Maya ready but most of the time I was distracted by the small chitter chatter coming from downstairs. I started feeling so pissed so annoyed I mean why is Emma ruining everything. Why is she stepping into what we have; were happy.
It's like I'm back in high school and Nick is the jock whom all the girls want and I'm in consistent competition with Emma; but I'm just trying to prove my love and I hope it comes out stronger.
I mean I don't even know how she's gonna act in front of Maya I mean she can't hide forever. They'll meet eventually I just feel so stressed and worried because I love what I have will Maya and Nick and I don't want anyone messing it up.
I walk to the kitchen to see Nick and Maya standing next to each other by the sink they were talking as she was giggling; disgusting. I guess she was helping him wash the dishes. I fist my hand with anger feeling a rage of fury in my body.
Y/n: Ahem!!
I clear my throat as Nick closes the water turning to look at me standing by counter, Emma does the same raising her eyebrow.
N: Oh hey babe
Nick says smiling as if nothing happened
Y/n: Hey
I reply taking a seat on the breakfast bar chairs
E: OMG, Y/n was I being too loud. I mean Nick was just telling me such a funny joke
She exclaims putting her hand on his arm, and laughing. Nick looks at her than me moving away
E: Nick is just so perfect and handsome and hot and I just can't stop thinking about the times we were together they were so amazing
Is she for real right now, like did she literally say all those things when I'm sitting right there. I knew it she legit here to take him back. I glance over at Nick who gives me a sorry face. I roll my eyes as I sit there shocked that he had nothing to say. So I guess I had to fix this myself
Y/n: Look Emma-
I start as she crosses her arms but I hear Maya running down the stairs
M: Mommy where Daddy
She says as she runs up to me but see's Emma. Great here we go; Maya looks at Emma a couple of times but of course doesn't recognize her
E: Hey Maya I'm Emma your-
She stops as she looks at Nick, my heart beating fast in my chest as she gets closer to Maya. But Maya backs away hiding behind me covering her face.
E: Come on I don't bite I'm just like your parents
She says as I glare at her scoffing
M: No you not she my Mommy
Maya mumbles into my back as Nick walks up to us
N: Emma, Maya tends to be shy around new people
Nick adds as Emma nods.
E: Oh well maybe I'll try later but for now I have some errands to run and I have to call my aunt. I'll be back later
She comments walking out of the house. Maya watches at her leave as she gets in front of me. She looks at me as I grab her hands
Y/n: Are you ok
I ask as she nods
N: Hey you want breakfast-
Nick asks as I get off the chair looking at him
Y/n: Actually I'm meeting up with Julia her daughter Scarlet and Ally for brunch. So Maya could eat there.
I say as Nick looks at me confused
N: You didn't tell me about brunch
He adds as I give him a puzzled expression
Y/n: I did like two days ago but you might have forgotten like that fact that were dating
I add annoyed walking past Nick to grab my car keys. I help Maya with her shoes as I take her to the car. I buckle her in closing the door as I turn around to see Nick standing behind me.
We stare at each other for around 10 seconds as I cross my arms looking into his eyes.
N: Why are you doing this
He asks as I shrug
Y/n: Because I'm upset Nick, this isn't some competition I'm your girlfriend. Your pregnant girlfriend and your here flirting with your ex in front of me
I exclaim as he looks at me with disbelief
N: I know and I wasn't flirting I was just being polite
He adds to clear his path
Y/n: There's a difference in being polite and being too friendly. She literally caressed for arm, complimented you and mentioned the 'the times' you two had together.
He looks at me obliviously like I was just wasting my time. What if he wanted her back, what if he wanted what he had before and I was just a distraction
N: Ok so maybe she regrets it
He states as I raise my eyebrows
Y/n: Mhm and how would you feel if my ex were to show up and do all these things. How would you react huh??.
I question to see him clenching his jaw
N: Were not talking about Mike
Y/n: Exactly
I reply as I sit inside the car.
y/n: Now if you don't mind I'm getting late
I say as I drive way watching him stand on the driveway. I love Nick, I really do but he was acting like he wasn't seeing all the things Emma was doing and it irritated what about our love.
M: Mommy....
Maya asks as I sniff lightly feeling helplessly emotional
Y/n: Yes sweetie
I reply trying to be normal
M: You okay
She asks as I sniff once again
Y/n: Yes love Mommy is fine. Thank you for asking
I answer looking towards the road
M: Ok
She answers softly
**A couple of hours later**
Maya and I had just arrived home, I take her out of the carseat as she holds my hand. It felt good to get out and think about something other than Emma for once. I mean the girls supported how I felt and they told me to talk to Nick because he loves me and I know he does. I was just mad and I took it out on him.
I walk into the house to see it oddly silent, maybe Emma wasn't back yet but I wonder where Nick is I saw his car outside that means he should be home. Maybe he's in the room upstairs.
Y/n: Hey Baby why don't I put your favourite movie on for you and I'll join you quickly I just have to change.
I say to Maya as she grins nodding
M: Ok Mommy
Maya smiles as I turn the tv on for her and start walking upstairs. I get to the top floor and I look towards Nick's game room to see the door slightly opened. I guess he in there so I make my way opening the door to see Emma kissing him. My eyes and mouth drop wide as I don't know how to react.
Y/n: WHAT THE F*CK IS GOING ON IN HERE
I say as Nick pulls back and immediately looks at me. Emma follows getting off of the couch as she smirks.
N: It's not what it looks like
He exclaims making me take a few steps back
Y/n: So it didn't just look like you kissing Emma
I ask in fury
N: No she-
E: Now Nick don't lie this was mutual
Emma says as I look at him with disbelief shaking my head with tears welling in my eyes. I can't believe he did this
E: I need you too leave Nick and Maya alone
Emma states as I raise my brows my anger growing inside of me
Y/n: Excuse me
I ask crossing my arms in a mad tone
E: You heard what I said. I love Nick and Maya is my daughter
She adds as I chuckle
Y/n: Since when. You didn't even bother looking at your own child's face when you gave birth to her now you're here to take them back. Where were you the last three years
I retaliate
E: It took me time to realize but now I'm here and I don't like you intruding in my family
She argues trying to prove her point which wasn't really working
Y/n: Your joking right I'm intruding; your the one that's intruding here-
E: Nick loves me, ok I was his first love. You were just some second pick. Face it he doesn't love you. It's all fake girl. And you just been dumb not to realize the fact that you've been played
I shake my head not trying to let her under my skin to get the best of me. Emma smiles as Nick doesn't really say anything and walks up to me
N: She lying please believe me
He says making me look into his eyes trying to see that spark that light inside his eyes that I always saw.
I don't say anything as I storm out of the room. I furiously go into my bedroom walking towards the closet gabbing a bag and some clothes.
Nick follows as he tries fixing what he did
N: Y/n listen you have too listen to me
I continue to ignore him as I walk out of the closet grabbing some other things. I was feeling a million emotions and the sad part was Nick didn't stop her. He grabs my wirst as I look into his eyes
N: Y/n-
I don't know what got into me I was so overwhelmed and angry that I harshly take my hand out of his grasp and slap him
He grabs his cheek looking me and tears streamed down my face
Y/n: I did so much for you
Is all I say breaking down as I walk out of the room and downstairs.
M: Mommy where are you going
I wipe my tears looking at her
Y/n: Oh um I'm going to Uncle Brandon's house for a couple of days
I explain as she gets off the couch walking towards me
M: Mommy please can I come, plewse, plewse, plewse
She says pulling on my dress. How could I resist her. I know Nick was watching us from the staircase
Y/n: Okay love lets go
I say walking out of the house.
