Y/n POV
Maya and I were currently running some errands for the house and I decided to take Maya to the mall for ice cream and some new clothes. Julia and Ally joined us along the way and we had sort of a fun girls day out.
I was just in the car driving home as I dropped off Ally and Julia and we arrived outside our house.
Y/n: Ok Babygirl we're home
I say shutting the engine and getting out of the car. I walk over to Maya in her car seat to see her asleep she looked so precious and innocent as she is. I take her out of her sit grabbing her in my arms as her head rested on my shoulder I lightly pat her back grabbing the house keys and locking the car.
I slowly unlock the door opening it in my thoughts I mean was it just me or Maya was getting heavier or maybe because I'm 8 months pregnant but anyways. I open the door and walk in to see Nick sitting on the couch scrolling through his phone. I lightly smile as I close the door, he instantly looks up nervously smiling pacing towards me.
N: Y/n hey your home early
He says as I nod giving him a questioning face
Y/n: Yeah we were getting kinda tried also I got everything I needed
I answer confused as his weird tone
N: Good, did you have fun
He answers immediately like he was in a rush or something
Y/n: I guess
I reply simply trying to figure out what was up with him
N: Let me get her, you should have called me baby-
Nick says pecking my lips then grabbing a sleeping Maya in his arms.
Y/n: It's fine I just thought-
Thats when I looked around something was fishy, I see a handbag on the couch a pair of shoes in front of the door and it oddly smelt like female perfume and I know I don't use that one. I give Nick a glare as he looks at me biting his lip
Y/n: Nick there's something your not telling me
I state as he continues biting his lip not saying a word as I wait for an answer
N: Ok so before I say anything just know I didn't know anything and that I was as much surprised as your about to be
He explains as my anxiousness grows, I wait for Nick to tell me
Y/n: Can you just tell me already your stressing me out
I mention making him grab one of my hands
N: Ok so ah Emma is here
He says my jaw lightly drops as my eyes go wide looking at Nick puzzled
Y/n: WAIT and you let her IN
I whisper yell putting my hands on my hips
N: What was I supposed to do huh?? She came to the door and started begging for me to let her in.
He explains as I could tell he was apprehensive but that still didn't diminish the fact that he let Emma into our house where Maya is.
I look at him as he innocently shrugs looking into my eyes and tightly squeezing my hand.
Y/n: When did she get here
N: Around 10 minutes, I mean at first she was at the door begging to come in and then she asked to use the restroom
I nod looking over at the bathroom door as I hear sink turn on
Y/n: Nick look I love you but this is Maya's biological mother and your ex you have to decide what to do with her and are you gonna let her meet Maya??
I ask genuinely concerned
N: I love you and your right but were in this together so you have a full right to decide what happens. I don't think right now is the right time for her too meet Maya so I'm gonna put her in her bed upstairs
He says as I smile I'm happy he values me and I appreciate his honesty but what are we supposed to do with Emma
Y/n: Ok I agree
He smiles as he walks upstairs to put Maya down. I was just awkwardly standing near the front door as the bathroom door opens making Maya and I make eye contact. I awkwardly smile as she does the same. She looks at me up and down walking up to me
E: Hi I'm Emma and you....
She says smiling as I could tell she was trying to place my face I know she knew me but I bet she never thought Nick and I are together
Y/n: Hey I'm Y/n
I reply as she nods offering her hand to shake I do as she wants quickly moving my hand away
E: Wait Y/n, aren't you Brandon younger sister
She asks as I nod
Y/n: Yeah
E: OMG I remember you were that opened the door when I came over to talk to Nick like 3 years ago
I nod agreeing to what she said
E: What are you doing here??
She asks as I give her a confused face. Did she just ask me that in my own house. Like was she doing this purpose did she not see pictures of my Nick and I with Maya on the side of the wall.
N: She lives here
Nick says coming down the stairs. We both turn our heads towards him as he walks up to us standing next to me grabbing my hand. He smiles at me as Emma eyes going directly to us. Confused and puzzled towards what to say
N: And were together
He adds as she awkwardly nods
E: Oh and when did this-
N: None of your concern
He states as I look down
E: Ok well-
N: Emma why are you here
Nicks asks cutting her off in a questioning tone as she looks at him sadly
E: I was wondering we could talk so I could explain
Nick nods as we all walk to the couch. I look at him biting my lip nervously
Y/n: Nick I think I should let you two talk, I'll be upstairs
He shakes his head squeezing my hand softly caressing the skin on top
N: No where in this together
We smile as he intertwines our fingers together looking back to Emma sitting in front of us.
