Y/n POV
I look at my brother walking into my room, he puts his laptop on the side desk as he walks to the bed and taking a seat
B: I was wondering if we could talk, come have a seat
He signals me patting the empty space on the bed beside him. I walk over not really saying much; I sit next to him as he lightly smiled
B: We haven't really just sat down and talked for a bit so it would be nice
I nod in reply, a big reason why I wasn't really saying anything was because I was low-key afraid of him being mad at me. I love my brother but I don't think he would be quite pleased if he found out I like his best friend from back home oh also his bandmate that he lives with.
B: So I've seen or I've been feeling that lately you and Nick have been getting kinda close. Is it just something I'm seeing your is it like a real thing
He asked looking at me with a questioning look. I look at him nervously, how, how could he possibly even know
Y/n: Can I ask why you think that
I reply tryna act normal he nods
B: Sure. For starters I always you two around together. Like right now, second you also seem distracted by him and well that day of the picnic when you two wanted to sit together in his car. And also how you took a long time coming back home
He explains
Y/n: I told you we went to get ice cream
I say disregarding his first couple of statements knowing they were accurate
B: Alright. But I just wanna take care of you. Your my younger sister and seeing with 'hangout' with Nick
He responds with air quotation
B: Is kinda weird, I mean is there anything going on??
He asks again as he looked into my eyes, my brother was so smart.
Y/n: No Brandon were just friends. Yeah lately we've been civil with each other but that doesn't mean anythings going on
I know I had to lie to my brother because it wasn't like Nick and I are dating. YES I like him a lot and YES we've kissed but he hasn't told me what he feels. He knows how to express his feelings but words are very important.
Words can make one feel secure and committed. Also if I were to tell Brandon that would mean him getting annoyed and tense. I know he's trying and acting like he's clam but from the inside he's raging to hear what I know what's to hear.
B: Alright good I was just wondering, you know what older brothers do also don't mention this to anyone even Ally okay
He orders as I nod
B: Now get ready but nothing to showy and extra
He said messing up my hair
Y/n: BRANDONNN, stop acting like DAD
I whined annoyed as I playfully hit him with the pillow on the bed while fixing my hair
B: Ok, chill, chill. I love you
He says as I chuckle, he always acts like this; ever since we were younger he would annoy me and then say he loves me
Y/n: Yeah the feeling is mutual
I reply as he gets off the bed
B: Now lemme go check on Ally
He laughs as he walks out and I smiled.
