Chapter 42

I probably shouldn't be getting used to waking up in one of my soulmate's arms. But having it happen two mornings in a row makes me fear that it might end up being something I get used to despite any efforts I make not to. Not that I'm complaining. His strong arms are comforting and most definitely making me feel safe and secure.

I had honestly expected Jimin to come by again last night. After the way we were interrupted that morning I anticipated that he would want to continue where we had left off. I'm guessing that Joon either beat him to the punch, or they had discussed it between themselves beforehand.

When Joon arrived at my door it was because he claimed he had to hold me last night. He was terribly worried about how I was handling the setback that happened yesterday. Honestly though, after the Vlive, I was fine with it. It happened, and there wasn't much we could do about it except for put a proverbial bandaid on it and hope that it would stick.

I attempt to pull out of his arms to get up and brush my teeth, but he pulls me back into them. "And where do you think you are going?"

"Um, to get ready for the day. I still haven't even worked out what I am making for breakfast this morning." I honestly didn't even think about that fact until I uttered it aloud. Great! Now, I was panicky more about breakfast than I was about the sequence of events yesterday.

"I suggest something light." Joon mutters.

I turn to look at him, and realize that his masculine features are disheveled due to his adorable rumpled look caused from hours of slumber. It nearly makes me want to crawl back into bed and let myself be cradled in his arms once again, but I somehow manage to restrain myself. "Why's that?"

"It's supposed to be more humid today, and we will be out in the sun a lot today." He explains. His words still raspy from slumber, but exceptionally coherent despite this.

"Oh? What are we doing today?" Now, I'm curious. They didn't let me know we were going anywhere today, but I'm not really surprised. We only have three more full days after today before we will have to pack things up and head to Seoul. I'll miss this house.

Breaking me from my reverie Joon grins slyly. "Let's just say that you will be needing your bathing suit again."

"Are we going to the beach?!?" I ask excitedly. I should be concerned we will be seen. That should have been my first thought. But, it's not. However, I don't feel terribly guilty because it does end up being my second thought. "Um, is that smart after yesterday?"

"I'm pretty sure we have that part covered, but I understand your hesitancy." His stomach grumbles, and I find myself smirking. "What? You mentioned breakfast. I haven't eaten in hours."

"Then I will go and get something whipped together really quick."

When I open the door and start to walk downstairs I nearly trip when Hobi startles me as he walks out of his own room. "Oh, sorry Petal. I was just coming by your room to give you this."

He holds a gift bag out to me. I feel like I should be skeptical of his present, and I am a little bit. But, I am more excited at the surprise of it than anything else. I push past the tissue paper, and am not overly surprised to be holding a new bikini. It's very similar to my last one I purchased which has me arching an eyebrow at him.

"What? I thought you deserved to have more choices color and pattern wise." The top of this one is black with gold straps. It also has a plunging neckline and criss crossing straps that wrap around below the cups for additional support and style. The bottoms are gold and have black ties on the side.

"I'm almost surprised you didn't get me a red one." I unintentionally mutter aloud.

"Perhaps, I bought you more than one." He grins slyly at me.

Nope, I won't get sidetracked any more than I already have by that smouldering look. I need to make breakfast! "Thank you for the new bikini, Hobi." I kiss his cheek and finally continue my way downstairs.

I do just as Joon suggested. I put together breakfast salads and a fresh fruit platter again. I hate to be repeating a breakfast meal again so soon, but between the heat and my lack of planning I can't really think of something else at the moment.

I do make Jimin's portion with more tomatoes and shredded carrots than the others, simply because I know he is going to complain about the leafy greens. Although, I don't recall him complaining the last time we had this meal. Granted I had been exceptionally sidetracked by Tae at the time.

A pair of arms wrap around my middle after I finish up portioning out the salads. "I missed out on helping you today."

I turn in his arms. "Aww, don't be a pouty bear. We will have plenty of other mornings."

Yoongi continues to pout, despite my suggestion, and my heart hiccups at the sight. I swear this man may tend to be stoic a high percentage of the time, but whenever another expression flits across his face it is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I think I might get why the fans make cat comparisons to him, but I will continue to call him my bear instead.

"Can you help me take them out to the table?" I ask.

"Hmm. Only if you do something for me." He responds.

"What's tha--?" As I start to ask his soft lips catch me completely off guard. My heart had just been hiccuping in my chest, and now it feels like it's making a new residence, lodging itself higher than normal in my ribcage. It's only slightly more than a peck, and I find it my turn to pout when it ends entirely too soon.

He just slyly grins his gummy smile for a moment before turning away with a couple of the bowls I had prepared in his hands.

The others trickle down stairs, heading directly for the table, one by one. Jimin and Tae both toss glares at Hobi. Which makes me think he must have woken everyone up for me. I cast him a quick grin as a thank you which prompts him to give me one of his big sunshine smiles he's famous for.

"So, what are we doing today?" I ask the entire table. Their response to my question? To start talking amongst themselves in Korean.

Okay, that's it. I'm officially going to have to learn the language. I glance at Tae. He did say that he would help me work on my Korean. Should I take him up on that, or should I try to somehow teach myself the language?

The only experience I have with foreign languages is the song 'Brother John' in French. Some other French words I learned unintentionally due to French culinary practices. Also, I did take a couple of years of Spanish in High School. I did better at the written word though. When I tried to speak it I became terribly nervous and made a lot of mistakes. I can still remember how to say that a donkey is smarter than you in Spanish (even if I can't trill my r's). But why would I insult someone like that?

Tae catches me looking at him and slyly winks at me. Why on Earth does that simple solitary action make me blush? Probably because the moment he did it I instantly remembered our heated shared moments in New Jersey, and the recent morning that I woke him up only to end up in a very heated embrace. Hmm, yeah I would definitely like to revisit those moments sometime soon.

It's Joon that finally answers my question. Well, sort of answers it. "You were partially right about your guess earlier, Daisy."

Then Hobi says. "But you were also partially wrong."

"It will make more sense later," Jin promises.

I pout at the maknae trio. Maybe one of them will cave and tell me.

Yoongi rolls his eyes at me. "Daisy, go get ready. Wear your bikini under whatever you decide to wear for the day." Then he turns to the maknae trio. "Why don't you three busy yourself by cleaning up."

That's one way to keep them from telling me I suppose. I look through my closet trying to decide what to wear. I settle on one of my new purchases. It's a cream colored wrap around sundress with green floral print. The cloth is thick enough that the black top isn't visible through the pale color of the fabric, and the top of the dress is also a halter, so the shoulder straps don't show either. The back of the dress is open though, so you do see the solid black straps above the waistline of the dress. One of my favorite features of the dress is the fluttering asymmetrical bottom. It is shorter in front, just kissing the tops of my knees, but in the back it trails all the way to my ankles. I don't bother with makeup or jewelry since we will obviously be in the water. For shoes I pick out a pair of tan wedge sandals. The size of the heel is modest in height, so I shouldn't have to worry about twisting my ankle while I am wearing them.

When they see my clothing selection they decide to immediately put sunblock on my pale shoulders and back. This time because it's only me getting the treatment, at least for now, they don't bother with the game. It ends up being Joon that applies sunblock this time, and that's only because he happened to be the first one to grab the tube of lotion.

When we pile in the vehicles I end up frowning. They were crazy intelligent and realized I would try to pressure the maknae line to tell me, by pouting at them until I got my way. So, instead of that trio I'm with Yoongi, Joon, and Hobi. I'm pretty sure that they were also concerned that Jin would probably cave under my pouty expression too since he is also in the other SUV. Honestly, if Hobi were not paired with the other two I might be able to get him to cave too, but I know Yoongi and Joon won't let that happen.

We are only in the SUV for probably thirty minutes or so before we are stopping. I look outside and see the nude colored sand and the swirling shades of aqua and cerulean blue that make up the crystal clear Atlantic Ocean. We stopped in a parking lot near a marina. I arch an eyebrow at Joon who is in one of the captain seats in front of me, but of course he isn't forthcoming with what this means. Instead he smirks at me and pulls open the door.

The maknae line and Jin are already outside waiting for us, since they were in the leading SUV. Jk grabs my hand, and Jimin pulls the beach bag I was holding out of my grasp. They guide me to the end of the dock, where I find myself gawking at the beast of a yacht in front of me. "This is the Benedita, and she's ours for the day." Tae grins widely at me.

Three people (two men and a woman) are smiling widely at me from the ship. I can only guess that they are the staff hired by the marina, or rental company. "I'm assuming they have signed NDAs?"

"Yes, of course." Someone answers. I honestly don't register who. I only know that it isn't one of my men. It's either one of the two managers, Sejin stayed behind today, or it's one of the three security guards.

"So, we have it for the entire day?" I ask wide eyed.

"Yes," Jimin smiles so wide his eyes form crescents. He is obviously exceptionally excited right now.

One of the two men standing on the ship moves forward and introduces himself as Luiz. "I'll be your steward today. I will be the one to directly assist you for the most part." Then proceeds to explain some of the activities we can do while escorting me aboard.

It turns out at the back of the boat is a nautical garage of sorts. He pulls up the door to the enclosure and shows me four wave runners on metal rails that can be launched from the back of the boat. He also points out several fishing rods hanging from the wall. I see a certain gleam in Yoongi's eyes when he spies them. Well, I know what my bear will be doing today.

Then I'm escorted up the stairs, where I find a long dining table under the awning that leads into the covered passenger part of the ship. Further past the archway that leads into the interior cabin there is a living area of sorts, with a few lounge chairs, a coffee table, and even a television, which I personally find myself frowning at. The only reason I can see a purpose for a television is if there is inclement weather that keeps the passengers from venturing outside. Even further in this room is another dining room table that I am assuming exists for the same reason. If there is inclement weather.

Through another door I'm not surprised to see a stainless steel kitchen. Actually, if I remember the few nautical terms I actually have heard before it's referred to as 'the galley.' There is also a little breakfast nook that I'm assuming is mostly a dining area for the crew. The woman that relocated here introduces herself. "I'm Canciana, and I will be your chef for the trip."

Through another door further into the ship I am introduced to the captain at his helm, Paulo. "If any of you would like to attempt taking a turn at the wheel I won't mind in the slightest. But, either myself, Luiz, or Canciana will have to be nearby just in case."

Then I'm being redirected downstairs and shown a couple of bedrooms and bathrooms before being escorted up two flights of stairs to the top part of the ship. I'm not surprised by the lounge chairs, but the jacuzzi has my mind whirling in near confusion.

"So let's disembark on this journey. Think about what you want to do before we drop the anchor further out at sea." Luiz suggests.

An easier answer would be what I don't want to do. Because everything except for fishing sounds appealing. I've never been on a boat before though. So, I hope I am not prone to seasickness. I voice my concerns aloud, and Joon assures me we are prepared for that situation should it arise. "More than one of us has been prone to motion sickness in the past." He not so slyly whispers to me.

A/N:  None of the images belong to me.  The images I have a resource for outside of the BTS images will have a link in the comments to the appropriate websites when available.  The dress no longer exists unfortunately.  I found it on pinterest and fell in love with it, but I changed the color because a) I am not a big fan of brown and b) I thought Daisy would look better in green with her red hair and coloring.
