hi it's april and i decorated my room for christmas because i was sad and now i'm not so i'm gonna write tuggoffelees' holidays.

i strike a small match, careful not to burn myself, and place it gingerly in the fireplace. there are no lights on in the house right now, so the fire completely illuminates my face as it catches.
"dearest?? do you want milk or water in your hot chocolate?" tugger yells obnoxiously from the kitchen.
i match his dramatic tone. "are you crazy? milk, obviously!"
i hear tugger chuckle quietly, and i smile too. i am so, so lucky to have him.
tugger comes into the living room and sits beside me in front of the growing fire. he passes me a warm mug, and wraps a soft grey blanket around our shoulders. i lean into him and he gently turns my face towards his.
"can i kiss you?" he whispers, staring intently into my eyes.
i nod, beginning to close my eyes and part my lips. before tugger can lean forward though, the fire crackles and i jump, ruining the moment.
tugger snorts at me, while i roll my eyes playfully. i lean my head on his shoulder and close my eyes.

i must've fallen asleep, because when i regain consciousness, i'm snuggled deeply into tugger's arms. i can't tell if he's asleep or not, so i whisper his name. he doesn't answer. i smile lightly to myself, nuzzling my face back into his chest, closing my eyes once more.
