**10 weeks later (I know but I'm not writing through a whole damn pregnancy) Harleys now around 30 weeks**

"How long have we been here?" I ask looking over to Jax, "About 20 minutes" He says looking down at his watch. "I have shit to do, we can do it another day," I reply sitting up, "You can torture your victims later, for now, let's do this" He says gently pushing me back onto my back. The door opens and the doctor finally walks in, "Good afternoon you two, how you are feeling Harley?" He asks as he makes his way over to me.
"I'm bored" I reply, Jax gives me a look to shut up but I just smile at him. "I understand that. I'm sorry for the wait. Someone didn't fill in that you had an appointment today, it has to be one of those idiot's at the front desk" The doctor says as he slips on a pair of gloves "Alright are you ready to find out the gender?" He asks looking between Jax and I.
"I think so" I say watching him set up the ultrasound machine, Jax sits on the foot of the bed and takes my hand into his, he knows I've been trying to avoid this appointment for as long as possible, I don't know how I'm going to feel if it's another girl. The doctor nods his head and puts the cool gel onto my stomach, "We will start with the measurements and the heartbeat and then we will look for the gender alright?".
We both watch in awe at the ultrasound screen, as we see it's little heart fluttering perfectly, all fingers and all toes to thank the Lord. "Baby's growing a tiny bit slower than what's normal but there's nothing to be stressed about yet, I want to keep an eye on it tho, I'll get you another appointment for next week to see if there's a change or not and if there inst we might have to start looking at alternatives" I slowly nod my head, I don't really understand what he's going on about but I'll be sure to ask Shelby or Betty when I get back.
"Alright and now for the gender" He says as he squints at the screen, my hands begin to sweat like crazy, I chew on my bottom lip. Jax is looking at me so I look at him, I can't bring myself to look at the screen. "It's a baby boy" He says looking at the screen, I sigh and laugh in relief I don't have to face my fears yet. "Are you sure?" Jax asks his eye's as wide as a saucer's, "I didn't go to medical school to not be sure" He says turning around and smiling at us.
"Congratulations on the boy, Mr and Mrs Jones. I'll get my assistant to contact you in the next 2 days to book another appointment, apart from that let me print out some pictures and you're free to go" He smiles once again and walks out of the room. Jax crawls on top of me supporting a wide grin, "A boy" He says against my lips. His hand begins to travel up the side of my body until he reaches the back of my neck, "A fucking boy" I say smiling against his.
Everyone has been putting bets on at the clubhouse, the gender, the date even the fucking time. I know most of them are plotting against me so they can take the cash prize, I caught Shelby trying to snoop through my doctor's notes to find out my due date.
"Gunners going to piss his pants when he finds out hes right," Jax says leaning in slightly to kiss me, "Oh my god I'm so sorry," A voice says from the door, Jax's head snaps to the male nurse standing in the doorway looking at us wide-eyed. "Eye's off my wife" He growls, I laugh and push his chest away so I can sit up. "No I'm sorry, someone doesn't know how to keep his hands to himself," I say getting off the table and pulling my shirt over my bare stomach.
"Dr Winston asked me to give you these," He says nervously holding out the printed out photos from the ultrasound, "Thanks" Jax replies taking them from his hand. The nurse basically runs away and I turn around to a smirking Jax, "God you can be an asshole sometimes" I say shaking my head. He scoops me up and carries me out of the building bridal style to the SUV, "Not my fault the pin dick is scared of everything" He replies smirking as he sits me in the passenger seat.
"What time do you leave tonight?" I ask looking over to him as he climbs into the driver's seat, "About 7" He says reaching over to my hand and kissing it. "I don't want you to go," I say quietly looking out the window, my emotions have been haywire the past few days, I've been snapping at everything, the only thing that can keep me grounded is Jax.
"I know kitten, but it will only be 3 days" He starts the engine and begins the drive back to the compound, "What if I wake up at 3 am and want ice cream but I have none?" I ask looking back over to him. "Then you get a prospect to go and get it for you" He replies, "What if I want to go out shopping for baby stuff?".
"Then you will take the girls and the prospects with you" He replies smiling, "What if I go into labour?" I ask, "Well then I'll be home before you can even get to the hospital" He replies confidently, I know that's a lie because the ride is fucking 9 hours itself. I roll my eyes a huff, "What if I want sex?" I ask raising an eyebrow at him, "Well I'll just have to fuck you so hard before I leave that you won't be able to walk for the next three days" He smirks at me.
I groan and turn my head out the window, "Come on kitten, I'll be back before you know it" I roll my eyes and attempt to snatch my hand out of his but he holds on tighter, "Don't be like that" He turns to face me I look at him and he gives me puppy dog eyes, I groan even louder "Fine" He smiles and looks back at the road.
"Can I at least have my rings back before you go?" I ask nervously, I chew on my bottom lip and look at him out of the corner of my eye, we haven't spoken about the rings yet, he's still wearing them around his neck. He stays silent and keeps driving, I lean back in my seat and close my eyes, fuck me I shouldn't have asked.
I must have fallen asleep because when I wake up Jax is slightly shaking my shoulder, I yawn and rub my eyes and see were parked out the front of the same diner he took me on our first date "What are we doing here?" I ask looking over to him. "We're going on a date before I leave" He says as he gets out of the car.
I take off my seat belt as he opens my door, he takes my hand and helps me out "Look I'm sorry for-" I begin but he presses his lips against mine, he pulls back and looks in my eyes "If you think I'm just going to give you the ring on the side of a fucking road you're delusional, now get your sexy ass inside that diner so we can play arcade games and eat pizza and act like we're not going to be parents in the next few months".
We walk into the diner and head over to the arcade area first, we play a few games but run out of coins "I'm going to get some change" Jax says kissing the side of my head, I turn my head to nod and smile at him. He walks off and I go back to the game I was playing, "Who would leave such a pretty girl like you all alone?" I hear a grimy voice from next to me.
I turn my head and see an older man looking down at me, he stinks of old alcohol and cigarettes. At least 40 years old, he also has a southern accent too. "My husband" I reply and turn back around to play the game, he grabs my chin and slides his hand onto my ass grabbing it firmly and I fucking snap. I grab his wrist and use my other hand to grab the back of his head slamming it down onto the arcade game I'm playing he drops to his knees and cries out in pain.
I pull his head back and slam it into the game again before letting go of him and dropping him to the floor, blood pours out of his nose, lip and eyebrow, I stomp down on the side of his head and he screams out in pain again. I go to climb on top of him but I'm pulled back, I struggle to wiggle out of the person's grip but am also struggling to breathe with a baby in my fucking lungs "Don't do it kitten, not here" Jax whispers in my ear.
A staff member comes running over to check on the man on the ground, "What happened?" He asks looking up panicked at both of us. "He touched my ass and I broke his face" I grit through my teeth, I can feel Jax trying to hold on a laugh while still holding my arms behind my back. "I'm going to have to call the police," He says standing up quickly, "You will do no such thing" A loud german accent comes from behind us.
I turn around and see an older woman looking at the staff member sternly, "They protect us here, I watched the whole thing happen, he deserved what he got" She says pointing her finger at the boy. He nods his head "Thanks Greta, I'll have one of the boys come down here to pick him up and clean up" Jax says looking down at the groaning man on the floor. She shakes her head and waves him off "I'll take him, my bears are extra hungry around this time of year".
She pats his cheek and walks back into the office, Jax throws his arm around my shoulder and walks me out of the building with a smirk on his face. "What about pizza?" I frown, he smiles and lifts me up so I'm sitting on the hood of the car. "Wait did she say bears?" I ask, he walks between my legs and pulls my head down to smash his lips onto mine.
"That's why I married you," He says pulling back and slipping the rings onto my finger, "How did you know some creep was going to come up to me?" I ask as I look down at the rings on my finger, just where they're meant to be. "I didn't, but if I saw you alone in an arcade I'd come up to you too" I laugh at him, "Even with this big ole pregnant belly?" I ask rubbing my stomach.
His face deadpans and he growls "No because I'm the only person youre allowed to have kids with" I begin to giggle at him "God you're such a caveman" He laughs and helps me down off the hood of the car and into the passenger seat gently. "If you weren't pregnant I'd show you just how much of a caveman I can be" He winks at me as he closes my door, he gets in the driver's seat and starts the car to go home.
He slides his hand to my inner thigh and rubs circles with his thumb, "But seriously what about the pizza?" I ask after staying silent for a bit, "We have pizza at home in the freezer" He replies, "So you took me out for pizza when we have pizza?" I know I'm getting on his nerve's but watching the corner of his eye twitch is fucking funny.
"I took you out to have some fun, but then you almost killed someone" He sighs, "Well I thought that was pretty fucking fun" I reply. He grips my thigh but I can hear him trying to stifle his laugh, he eventually cracks and lets it out, "You laughed I'm off the hook" I smile to myself.
"What are you going to do if we are out somewhere with our son and someone does that and I'm not there to deal with it?" He questions "God stop being such a party pooper, who cares if we act like crazy people. Without a doubt this boy is going to be crazy too, it runs in the family" I say shrugging my shoulders, "With your temper? There's no doubt about it" He winks.
