Peter's P.O.V
Peter swung back to the Avengers' Tower as fast as he could, his heart racing at the thought of HYDRA killing Y/N.
"Mr Stark!" he yelled as his feet made contact with the helicopter pad and he stumbled in. Everyone looked up as he rushed in, Tony's eyes widening as he stood up.
"Where the fuck is Y/N, Peter?" he asked sternly, striding over to the out-of-breath boy.
"She...she...she-."
"She escaped, didn't she? Goddammit, I knew that this would happen." Tony spat.
"No, Mr Stark. W-we got attacked, by HYDRA agents who were like her. T-they...they took her." He gulped, still catching his breath. Tony's eyes widened.
"What do you mean, they were like her? As in, they had the powers? There's more like her?" he gulped.
"Y-yeah, exactly, one even knocked her out like she originally did to me, a-and the other had this, like, I don't know, metal arm." Peter rushed. Tony's eyes widened further as he looked at Steve, whose eyes were equally as wide.
"Bucky took her?" he asked with a clenched jaw.
"I think that's what she called him." Peter nodded. Steve returned it before looking around the room.
"Everyone suit up. If we want even a chance of getting Y/N back alive, we have to go now. HYDRA will kill her for not completing her mission and if Bucky has anything to do with it, it'll be a slow and painful death. We need to get her back, now." He nodded. Everyone returned it before rushing to their rooms to get into their suits, Peter's heart almost pounding through his chest at the thought that the girl that he loved may soon be dead.
Y/N's P.O.V
My back collided with the wall, making me cry out in pain as I landed harshly on the icy concrete floor. I coughed and spluttered as I weakly looked up, my eyes widening as Bucky strode towards me.
"Don't you fucking come near me." I spat as I scrambled back, but my back soon collided with the wall. Bucky rolled his eyes as he leant down and wrapped his metal hand around my neck. My eyes widened further as he picked me up and pinned me to the wall. I clawed at the metal hand, desperate for air as the pressure on my throat prevented me from getting any.
"Bucky...I can't...breathe." I gasped, kicking my legs out to try and free myself.
"You know who else can't breathe? Peter Parker. Oh, no, wait, he still can, because you failed to complete the mission and failed to kill him." Pierce spoke as he wandered into the cell.
"You...lied to me about him...I couldn't...kill him after what...I saw." I choked, still desperately trying to kick out of Bucky's grip. Pierce pursed his lips, clearly thinking about what I said before looking at Bucky.
"Drop her, Bucky, I don't want her suffocating before I have answers." He spoke. The man nodded and dropped me, making me land on the concrete again as I gasped for air, my lungs burning.
"What do you mean I lied to you?" Pierce asked.
"Cut the shit, I saw inside of him. I know that the Peter Parker you wanted me to kill is the farthest he could possibly be from the real Peter." I spat, my voice croaky.
"Y/N, I don't give a shit what your personal character judgement of the kid was, the mission was to kill the little bastard." He snapped.
"I didn't complete the mission, boo fucking hoo. Punish me already and get it over and done with." I hissed. Pierce's eyes widened slightly at my outburst.
"What happened to you? You were the perfect agent before this mission, you were a ruthless killing machine." He scoffed.
"What happened is that you took me away from my home, and away from the only person that I've ever cared about." I nodded. Pierce rolled his eyes.
"Cry me a river. Don't worry, you'll forget all about him when we re-train you-." Pierce was cut off by the sound of wailing sirens and the flashing of red alarm lights. He looked up and his eyes widened.
"Someone tell me what the fuck is happening." He demanded into his earpiece.
"The Avengers have infiltrated the base, sir. They say that they're here for Y/N." my eyes widened. Pierce looked at me, his lips curling into a scowl.
"Kill every single one of them." He ordered before starting to leave the cell. My eyes widened.
"NO!" I screamed as I started running for the door. Pierce gave me one last sickening smirk before slamming the door shut as I reached it.
"PIERCE! IF YOU TOUCH ANY OF THEM, I'LL CAUSE YOU SO MUCH PAIN THAT YOU'LL WISH YOU WERE DEAD!" I yelled at the top of my lungs as I pounded my fists against the door, the sirens still blaring throughout the base. I gulped and stopped pounding, knowing that no one would be able to hear me. I sunk down the door and took a seat on the concrete floor, just praying to anything that Peter would make it to me alive.
Peter's P.O.V
"Oops, too slow!" Peter yelled, taunting the guard as he fired a web at his machine gun and yanked it out of his grip before kicking him back, knocking him out.
"Pete, down there, that's where all of the cells are." Tony spoke, pointing down a hallway as he continued to mow down the HYDRA guards with his hand cannons.
"Got it." The boy nodded before running down the hallway and turning the corner. He looked around, pulling his mask off so that he could see better as he looked for Y/N's cell.
"Y/N! Y/N! It's me! Where are you?!" he yelled, looking around desperately.
"It's me, Peter! We came for you! Where are you?!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. He sighed, tears pricking his eyes as he heard nothing.
"Come on, Y/N, give me something, anything." He mumbled, mainly to himself.
"Peter?!" his eyes widened at the muffled sound of his name being called.
"Y/N?! Is that you?!" he yelled.
"Yes, oh my god, thank fuck, I'm here, over here!" Y/N's muffled voice sounded again. Peter rushed to the end of the hallway, to the cell door where her voice was coming from.
"Y/N! I'm here, you're okay, I'm here." Peter nodded, banging on the door.
"Thank god, I can't get the door open myself, I'm too weak, help me." She spoke through the door.
"Okay, it's alright, um, I'm going to figure something out, just hang tight." He replied, nodding again to himself. He wrapped his fingers around the door handle and pulled, secretly hoping that his super strength would be enough to open it. It wasn't.
"It's okay, Y/N, I'm going to get you out-." Suddenly, pain swept through Peter's side as he was suddenly soaring through the air and down the hallway. He landed harshly on the concrete, making him groan loudly. He looked up and his eyes widened as the one called "Bucky" strode towards him.
"Crap, crap, crap-guys, help!" he exclaimed into his comms as he rapidly fired webs at the man, but to no avail.
"Karen, web grenade!" he yelled, the sticky substance flying from his wrist. His eyes widened as Bucky simply batted it to the side, making it explode against the wall. Peter's eyes widened further as his back collided with the wall, leaving him nowhere to go as the gap between him and the genetically modified HYDRA agent closed rapidly.
"Guys, anytime now would be great!" he yelled into his comms, knowing that he couldn't fight Bucky alone.
"Ah!" he yelled out, curling into himself, ducking his head down and shielding it with his arms as Bucky raised his metal arm. But to Peter's surprise, he never felt the contact. He peeked one eye open, his other eye following as he saw Steve knelt down in front of him, Steve's shield protecting them both from the force of the metal arm. Steve looked at him.
"I've got Bucky, go get Y/N." he nodded. Peter returned it, scrambling to the side and then to his feet, leaving Steve to fight Bucky as he rushed back to Y/N's cell. He sighed in relief as Tony stood in front of the cell, trying to figure out how to open the door.
"She definitely in this one, kid?" he asked.
"Yeah, I heard her." He nodded.
"Alright, then." Tony returned before standing back and raising his hand. Peter's eyes widened.
"What the f-." Tony fired his hand cannon at the door, making Peter duck and cover his head again as the beam exploded against the door.
Y/N's P.O.V
I pressed my ear to the metal door, trying to hear what was happening between Tony and Peter. My eyes widened as suddenly, I heard what sounded to be Tony's hand cannon firing.
"Shit!" I yelled as I jumped back, the door being blown in seconds later. I looked up, my eyes widening as Peter rushed in.
"Y/N, oh my god." He choked as he immediately engulfed me in a hug.
"Peter, I'm sorry, they would have killed you if I didn't go with them, I couldn't let you die, I'm sorry-."
"Hey, it's okay, all that matters is that you're okay." He reassured, gently cupping my face in his hands and making me look at him. I gave him a small smile, quickly getting lost in his puppy dog eyes.
"Um, guys, I hate to break up this lovely reunion, but we still have to escape, and are very much outnumbered by HYDRA guards." Tony spoke, firing his hand cannon at a guard as he did.
"Oh, yeah." Peter chuckled as he took my hand and pulled me out of the cell. The three of us ran through the base, the alarms and red lights still blaring as we started to make our escape. We raced around the corner, all of us stopping in our tracks as Bucky stood there, blocking our way.
"Shit." Peter gulped.
"You will die before you leave with her." Bucky nodded, a ball of black energy already forming in his hand as he spoke.
"She belongs with us. She's an Avenger." Tony returned. I looked up at him, tears pricking my eyes at the man defending me.
"Fine. But you can only leave with one. So, you either leave her here, or I finally complete her mission, and kill Spiderman." He nodded. My eyes widened.
"Or, we kill you, and all of us escape." Tony retaliated. Bucky shrugged before raising his flattened palm.
"Fine. I'll decide." He growled before releasing the ball of energy at Peter.
"NO!" I yelled, jumping in front of Peter as the ball rapidly flew towards him. It hit me in the chest, making me choke as all of the air was immediately knocked out of my lungs.
"Y/N, NO!" Peter screamed as I collapsed in his arms, his strong biceps being the only thing holding me up.
"Y/N, stay with me, come on." He nodded, tears pricking his eyes. I gave him one last small smile, feeling the air leave my body as my eyes fluttered shut and I went limp in Peter's arms.
