The Ghoulies were back and they wanted revenge on The Serpents. So Jess was doing groceries shopping and Malachai told the crew to take her unbeknown to the Ghoulies, they had no clue that she is a serpent until 3 long lost years later. Jess was scared as they grabbed her as she tried to scream for help, but they knocked her out cold.
Hours went by and everybody was concerned especially Jughead and Archie as they search for her everywhere but Jessica was nowhere to be found. All they could do was pray until she was found.
Jessica did everything in order to survive and it was her faith and families that kept her focused. Sadly she miss out a little bit on her kids as well as her godkids growing up: birthdays and Christmas you name it. She often thought of Mary and she was worried about her and Archie especially she felt that the Lord was telling her a lot has changed in Riverdale.
"I just wanted to go home."
She prayed as she knew that it has been 3 long damn years.
One morning she was cold and so she wipe the blood off her face from a couple night before and tried to iced her bruises. She grabbed her serpent jacket to keep warm and the boys stopped by to let her know to get breakfast, but everyone froze at the sight of her jacket and ran even stole her wheelchair which had her cell. She decided to walk home and she never stop she will not rest until she was home. It took her a few nights to regain strength but she finally made it to town. Once she got to the place where she was last seen, she could barely move another muscle and thankfully Jellybean was running errands with Veronica when Jellybean stopped in her tracks.
"Oh my goodness, V Jess is home!"
Jessica try to walk to greet them but she was physically tired but they came towards her.
"Oh my gosh!"
Veronica hugged her sister and stroke Jessica's hair.
"Your home."
Jellybean hugged her.
"We miss you."
Jessica smile.
"Yeah gosh I'm tired."
Veronica took one side and Jellybean taken Jessica other arm and they helped her walk. Jessica asked.
"So what did I miss? How are mom and Archie?"
The girls froze at the second question not sure how to prepare Jessica knowing that Mary has the same cancer as Emily's and settled at the same hospital and has Emily's doctor. They didn't want to give Jessica difficult memories of her mom suffering, but at the same time they knew that Mary is her Godmother.
Jellybean said fighting tears.
"I can't."
So Veronica said.
"Since you have been missing, life has been busy and your mom is going through a ton of stuff as she is diagnosed with cancer sadly it is the one your mother had."
Jessica struggle to comprehend this news.
"Did they catch it in time?"
Jellybean shake her head.
"Like your mom it was too late."
Jess struggle to process this.
"How is Archie feeling with all of this?"
Veronica said.
"He has his moments, but you are his first priority. He has been worried about you and how you are going to react thinking that the news will take you back to your mom and how she went through it. I had to remind him that your mom is his godmother."
Jess sighed.
"I want to see mom now and give her a peace of mind now I'm home."
She said to the both of them.
"I appreciate you both as well as Archie being cautious about what I had to witness with my mom as a little girl. I had no idea what made her sick until I had learned that I had cancer, but throughout her treatments she was still mom taking care of me till the very end and I know from mom she was there for Archie throughout till the very end."
She added.
"Thank you both for being the best sister in laws I am forever blessed to have you both."
Jellybean smile.
"Oh we are so very thankful to have you in our lives."
Veronica agreed.
"Friends first now family!"
The girls laughed.
At the hospital they signed in and Jessica recognized the doctor Emily and Mary has. Jellybean could see Jessica fuming and decided to record for Archie and Jughead.
"Excuse me? I don't know if you remember me, but you failed me again first my mother and now my godmother! Why of all people who could not assist my Godmom she has to be ending up with you!"
The doctor was floored as he remember the 10 years old.
"Uh Jess good to see you again!"
Jess quick reply was.
"Save it!"
They made it to the elevator and went up to the third floor and as they were walking down the hall Jess felt like she was going back to visit her mother and once she had seen the room number, it had hit her. Mary was now living in the exact same room as Emily once did.
"You have got to be kidding me!?!"
She quietly said.
Jellybean and Veronica was confused.
"What wrong?"
Jess admit.
"This is exactly my mom's room number."
She went through her pocket and showed them the photo of the room back then.
"My dad kept this."
Jellybean and Veronica were stunned.
"Breathe."
Jess quietly knocks on the door and then went inside as Veronica and Jellybean helped. Jess felt her knees buckle as she couldn't believe how her mom looked from the chemo. Sadly it has truly brought her back to her mom and how she looked.
"Oh my goodness."
Veronica consoles Jess.
"Come on go to her bed she is going to be so happy to see you."
Jellybean nodded as Jess slowly walked towards her mom bed and held her hand.
Mary stirred and mumbled.
"Archie is that you?"
Jess said.
"Godmother it's me."
Mary face was priceless.
"Oh Jess you came back!"
Mary weakly sat up and hugged Jessica as she sobbed as she was so relieved. Veronica snapped the photo and sent to everyone captioning.
She home! Let's celebrate.
Mary admit.
"Oh I haven't stopped praying for the past three years."
Jess said.
"I can see it in your reaction it literally says it all."
So Jess was caught up with everything regarding the kids and everyone. Moment later the door knocked and it was the kids including her god children.
"Mommy!"
Jess's heart was bursting with joy as they greeted her.
"Let me see how much you all have grown."
They were all lined up and Jess could not believe how big they were all getting.
"Oh my goodness! You are all getting big."
They laughed.
Then Archie, Jughead, Marie, Joaquin, Toni and Cheryl came in as Jellybean brought in her parents.
"Jess!"
Jughead pulled her in for a kiss.
"I miss you."
Jess tearfully kiss him.
"Oh you have no idea how much I miss you and our kids and I mean all of the kids."
She hugged her in laws, Cheryl, Toni, Joaquin, Marie but finally Archie. Archie was relieved but he teared up as it was tough 3 long years without Jess.
"I'm home now you don't have to worry."
Archie sighed.
"We have ton of catching up to do."
Jessica sat in a chair and really felt sleepy as if her body was saying you are home, rest!
"I know the girls told me. We will get through it!"
She mumbled and fell asleep just resting there. Archie kiss her forehead and turned off the light.
