This is how I made the design of Tony as the Winter Soldier!
And the reader (you) is wearing a suit just like of Black Widow with the SHIELD insignia.
— Following the events after Civil War, where Iron Man gets defeated and HYDRA takes control on him, for revenge —
The Iron Soldier.
Most of the threats that SHIELD had ever encountered or fought was from this monster. They thought HYDRA dissolved, but it seems like the infection never ended.
After the Civil War, things had changed. Tony now wasn't the Iron Man he was, like to save people around. Instead, he carried a sniper gun, not to give up his tech but, also had a repulsor arm like Bucky, shooting every single civilian which was a threat to the organization.
His main target was none other than, Captain America.
The Avengers knew that he was hunting down Steve so they were more alerted around each other. They increased the security, charged all their weapons and planned everything in a manner not to worsen things further.
You, Y/N were an agent from SHIELD who was on a mission to take down Tony Stark from his crimes of killing the innocent people and avoiding him to harm Captain Rogers. You were watching on the big screen in the headquarters, a breaking news about Tony Stark, who just killed up a victim near Midtown, Manhattan, creating chaos. He was completely in war paint, he had his muzzle on, with his hidden yet disastrous expression, and his arc reactor wasn't blue anymore. It was red. Blood red.
It quite freaked you out, but you had to go on your mission immediately cause he was on your location. Natasha stepped forward beside you as your head turned around her.
"Oh, hello Agent Romanoff." You saluted.
"Hello, Agent Y/N. We must neutralise the threat immediately." Natasha nodded.
"Do you know how many people he killed?"
"Almost, thousands people, hitting the top. His mission is to kill every million threats in here."
"Woah.. won't he just grow old doing that?" You smirked.
"Possibly but, like Bucky they're doing the same state to him. According to the data we claimed, they probably tortured him and trained him to be like the Winter Soldier to continue their Project Insight plan."
"What was that?"
"It was a project or a mission to bring three helicarriers of our organization to sanitize those who are the threats of the people. But it backfired which caused HYDRA to take control. After that we thought we had killed the leader but.. it's never helping. I never believed it would ever happen to Tony.. he just— never deserved all this.." Natasha casts down.
"It's fine, Agent Romanoff. Sometimes things don't wear off easily, you just need to work a little harder."
"But, they're going to send you and Cap for the mission. Tony is still on current location, you should hurry."
"On it."
"Good luck for the mission Y/N, and I hope you and Captain remain safe." Natasha wished for your condition as you nod back and head to the elevator to the ground level, there you found Captain America, as he was ready with his Harley Davidson bike.
"You're late." He said as he started his motorcycle.
"Not that late you expect." You replied as you got on your motorcycle too, both roaring it on the streets, proceeding to the attacked area. You screeched your bike, as the whole area started to fume as like bricks fell down. You both waved your hand to remove the dust covering your eyes, but your vision soon cleared on a black figure, in the stealth position.
You take a little close view by scrunching your eyes, as the figure walked closer to reveal nothing but..
"Tony." You whispered, to see the man, smirking nastily as a splatter of blood could be seen on his left cheek.
"Well, Captain.. nice to see you again." Tony grinned evilly at his enemy.
"Tony, stop. This won't work. HYDRA is just using you." Captain stepped a bit forward but Tony pointed him to move back.
"NOT. Another step." His words were more loud and harsh, as you both alerted yourselves. "I know about you scoundrels who are just here, especially you. You are here to save your precious Captain, don't you?" He tilts his head, facing you.
"Tony, look-" You tried to speak but he shouted it out.
"I'M NOT TONY!" He screamed that jerked you off. "I'm Anthony. ANTHONY Stark. By the way, who the hell is even Tony?" He growled in his breath.
You turned around Captain, who wasn't surprised about it. "He is brainwashed I think, HYDRA did it." He casts down, like the same way he had to face when Bucky was brainwashed. You didn't wanted to lose his hope.
"Captain, it's not true. Just don't-" Your lines again broke when Tony shot a bullet over Captain's shoulder, causing him to fall down, groaning in pain.
"Captain!" You cried, as you looked over him and attempts to shoot you down too.
"Watch out!" Captain growled as he warned you, with luck and time you dodged it.
"I don't think this is gonna be fun like this." There, he pulled out his big sniper gun and charged his repulsor, grinning devilishly and nastily before putting on his muzzle. "That's more like it." He buzzed in his mask as he proceeded. "You're both my mission, Agents. And I'm going to terminate you scoundrels." He aimed the gun at Captain.
"For ruining my goddamn life." He growled in his muzzle, as he was about to pull the trigger onto Steve, but he left the trigger slightly when he looked at you surprised. You took up Captain's shield, knelt down and hid Steve behind you with his shield like you were protecting him. There, he stood there still and surprised, yet you were in complete defense mode.
"Over my dead body." You growled at him, that caused him to laugh out loud evilly.
"Oh my god, Y/N! Do you think you can stop me with this?" He grinned under his mask, still you can feel his expression.
"Just stay away from him or things would be worse." You replied, threatening him.
"What if I didn't?" He asked, as he immediately charged his gun and shot the bullets from the trigger. Cap's shield was enough for you to run against him till you got near and busted him down on his face. You tried to attack him again, but Tony grabbed your arm. You tried to get away from his grip, but he was strong. He kicked you in the abdomen, as you groaned in pain and blew you in the face like you did his. Blood started to run from your nose as you attacked and defended at the same time but, he was more stronger than you. There was no choice. With a final stand, he shot you on the arm as you fell down. You tried to move and get up but the pain was really badly affecting you. He stepped on your leg hard, that you cried. He took off the muzzle on his face, as he grinned at you. "Aw, Agent got hurt? Don't worry, this pain won't last long." He chuckled as he charged and aimed his sniper gun at you. "And you're my mission." He whispered.
You noticed that maybe it was your final moments, to get killed and lose the mission. You were remembering the moments with your family, and with the Avengers, for the last time. You gently placed your hand on his face as you shed a tear, closed your eyes and smiled heartily, waiting to die peacefully. Doing this just made him stop for a while.
"Then finish it. Cause I'm with you forever."
While you said that, he stood quiet for some moments but then hissed in pain, turning around you and looking at your condition. His eyes weren't red anymore. There, the true words from him came out.
"Y-Y/N?" He stammered, till a shield hit him and he passed out. There you opened your eyes and got up to see Tony laid defeated. You turn back to see Captain, who was the one who threw the shield. He ran towards you to help you get up.
"Are you alright?" He asked worryingly.
"Yeah, I am.. it's just a little pain." You replied, while groaning and drenched in your pain.
"Come on, we have to go."
"Wait! But Tony?"
"Don't worry, SHIELD be here soon. They'll bring him to the base."
Captain was helping you move to a safe place, not realizing Tony had gotten up, just to charge his bullet onto him, as you quickly protected him by getting shot in the stomach. You gasped as you lost your vision and passed out.
"Y/N!" Steve screamed. "Y/N! Wake up! Stay with me! Ambulance!" He tried to call you but you just passed out with a possibility to die anytime, so he picked you up and ran to a nearby hospital as soon as possible. Tony lost his aim as he prepares to run but he was too late. The Avengers along with the SHIELD force were standing in front of him, with their weapons charged.
"You're in our aim, Tony Stark. Drop your weapon on the ground and surrender. We repeat, drop your weapon on the ground and surrender." The speaker blared.
Tony without any second drops the gun on the ground and slightly raises his hand, till he smirks.
"Well, I lost."
Only to listen these words he gets brought to custody, as you were admitted to the hospital for getting shot on the shoulder and stomach. Steve and others were waiting outside the theater, hoping you would survive. Somehow, the operation was successful and you were out of danger.
The doctor stepped out of the door, as he looked at them all, nodding a yes that the operation was a success. All of them cheered happily as they were lucky to have you back.
It was nighttime, and you had to be discharged tomorrow so you were in the hospital for a while till you get fully recovered. You were sleeping but soon, you heard a creak from the door as the light shone between your eyes. They strained in pain and you look to see who even it was, and the door shut.
"Tony..?" You whispered, to reveal it was really him. But, he wasn't in his armor anymore, he was in a casual attire, a white shirt with pants on. That's all.
"Y/N.." He responded, as he stepped a bit closer to you but you backed off in fear that he might do anything to you. He sighed as he grabbed your hand gently, kissing it.
"I'm really.. s-sorry.. I had no idea what to do but.. I was just hopeless.." He said, casting down. "Ever since they betrayed me, I.. I had no idea what to do.. all I know they just altered my brain with all their thoughts and.. I sought revenge on you all.. and I almost risked your life in it.. it wasn't my will to do that to you.. I think, I am a terrible person at all.." Tony's tears were visible in the slight lamp light.
"No, Tony.. it's not your fault.. don't blame yourself.. you're not a terrible person.. I know you were mad, and it's even okay to be. I know Bucky Barnes had killed your parents.. but, he was brainwashed like you too, he didn't even knew who he even killed, even the ones who he had. He might also feel the same too. It won't actually make you terrible at all unless you're doing it for a reason." You replied, by comforting him but holding his hands.
"No, Y/N. I'm the one to blame. I didn't do anything. Revenge just filled inside me, and I deserved all this. I can never be happy at all."
"You can be happy if you just try to fight! Not for yourself, but for other too! What are you for a hero then? You were chosen to be a hero cause you were born for it! Not to sought revenge onto those who betrayed you, and just turn into a villain. Just think about the others who might have turned into villains by their terrible past, but you having a terrible past, managed to be a better hero, cause you are a hero, a savior of us all, and the one we can keep hope. We."
Tony glared at you with his tear-filled eyes. "R-really..?" He said in a cracking voice.
You nod as you wipe off his tears. "You are my hero."
He slightly smiled with some of the tears falling on his cheeks, to make a grin as he leaned near your lips, kissing him passionately but for seconds. He breathed near your nose, causing you to shiver.
"I missed you so much, Y/N.." He growled, while smirking.
"Me too." You smiled back, as you both pushed your lips together again, till the door opened and you both jerked off, to see a nurse who looked at Tony weirdly.
"W-wait, Tony Stark? How did you even get in here?" The nurse asked, as Tony looked at you, chuckling before turning back to the nurse.
"Sorry, nurse. It was my mission." He replied, winking.
