(TRIGGER WARNING: There may be a part in this chapter that might trigger some emotions out of some people in this chapter but can we all just remember that it's a fricking joke and not feel insulted about it. Honestly, I hate all the over-sensitive people of 2019, people and their sensitivity are so annoying. But I don't care because it's my story so if I want to say it, I'm going to say and I said it so I'm leaving it there. I don't feel like I need to say what it is I'm pretty sure when you get to the part you'll know what I'm talking about. And I swear to god if I see a comment like "oH mY gOd tHaT's So OfFeNsIvE", "wHaT's WrOnG wItH tHaT?" I will respond with some fucked up shit or I will just delete your comment. "What do you guys think Ethan is doing?" I ask aloud to Carmen, Amy, and Sophie as we sat on the edge of the pool with our feet floating in the water.
"Look through his window and see" Carmen suggests.
"Shut up" I chuckle.
"Probably jerking off" Amy inputs earning a burst of laughter from all of us.
"You've asked five times in three minutes. Instead of asking us, the people who have no idea how about you ask Ethan" Sophie gasps as if it were the easiest of things.
"Because he dumped me" I splash water on her.
Sophie flinches "You got me wet"
Amy snorts "That's what she said" Amy starts snickering at herself and covers her mouth to muffle herself.
"I thought you dumped him" she splashes me back.
I shrug and sit there accepting she splashed me back, not bothering to fight. Do you know that saying "what goes around, goes around"? Yeah well, that is clearly very true. At least for me, it is. I broke with Ethan and then Ethan dumped me. I splashed Sophie then Sophie splashed me. Instant karma, that's what I get.
"They dumped each other" Carmen talks to me "And since Ethan somehow managed to turn Ali back into a simp, she's sad about it," she adds.
I mean she's not wrong but she's not right either. Dumped. That is the word I would use for this situation. Not sad. Dumped. I'm feeling how I should be after being dumped. I refuse to use any other word because Ethan didn't just break up with me, we're not "taking a break", he dumped me.
We've been sitting out here for an hour or two, talking, sitting in silence, mainly we were waiting for Brayden to call Sophie. He said he would FaceTime her after he got out of football practice.
It must be nice.
Ryan's been texting me but I haven't been in the mood to answer him. Should I feel bad about that? It's not like he did anything wrong, it's just that I don't want to talk to anyone of the male gender that isn't Ethan. Even though I want to text Ethan I'm scared to. He might leave me on read or he might ignore it altogether. I know he didn't block my number though, he's not a blocker.
"Shit he's calling" Sophie jumps when her phone starts ringing, showing Brayden's name, almost dropping her phone in the water.
"Sit still and answer it" Carmen holds Sophie by her shoulders.
Sophie stares at Carmen "Okay"
She blows air out her mouth and clicks the accept button.
"Hey, idiot" Bryaden smiles at the screen.
"Hi stupid" Sophie gushes.
Carmen and I look up at each other with smiles and wide eyes, both of us were thinking the same thing.
"Omigawd hey idiot" Carmen squeals.
"Omi gawsh stawp" I hide my face "Hai stupid" I peek through my fingers.
Both Brayden and Sophie avert their eyes away from the camera. Brayden was attempting and failing at trying to contain his laughter. Sophie was a crimson red staring blankly at the pool. Carmen, Amy and I were cracking though, Carmen and I feel accomplished that we embarrassed her.
"I'm gonna guess that was your cousin Allison you told me about" Brayden snickers, Sophie wasn't even able to respond she was still stuck in place.
Carmen and I's laughs come to a halt and we meet eyes "Awe he knows me" I clutch my heart.
"The little bitch doesn't know me though," Carmen says slightly offended.
Sophie's eyes widened and I gasped and slapped Carmen's arm"Carmen that is a child you do not know you cannot call him a little bitch"
"Well the little bitch needs to know who I am or I'll continue to call him a little bitch" Carmen argues.
"Oh my god, well he definitely knows who you are now" Sophie shouts "I'm leaving, you two are so annoying" she flees, completely embarrassed.
Carmen and I watch Sophie run for shelter in the house then look back to each other and shrug as if we had no clue why she ran.
"What's her problem?" I ask Carmen.
"I don't know" Carmen shakes her head, "I thought we were very well behaved"
Now it was my turn to shake my head "No, Amy and I were well behaved" I corrected her.
"Don't add me to the equation, I just want food and Netflix and for Grayson to stop beating my ass in eight-ball because if he wins one more time I'm going to lose my shit" Amy shrugs, kicking her feet under the water.
"Neither of us was well behaved," Carmen says.
"Yes." I agree.
We sat in silence for a little just enjoying the way the water felt like it was massage our calves.
"So what are you going to do about Ethan?" Amy breaks the silent streak after a few minutes.
My shoulder rise and fall "I have no idea"
"It's Friday, we can spend the night" Amy suggests.
"Oh yeah, we can" Carmen comments.
My face morphed into a loving/sad smile "What did I do to deserve friends like you?"
"One, we're not friends were fucking sisters" Carmen corrects me "And two you just have great taste" Carmen pauses "Friends wise" she adds.
Amy snorts "And I oop, sksksk, that's the tea sis"
I stared at both of them "No. That's the fucking tea talking, I hate both of you guys. You two are fired, go to sleep"
"I love when she says that but knows she loves us," Carmen says to Amy.
"Right, it's so funny" Amy agrees.
They never take me seriously.

Amy and Carmen called home to ask if it was okay for them to spend the night which they could so they left to go get their stuff and came back. I'm so grateful to them and that they could spend the night because otherwise I would have no one to keep my mind off Ethan and I would drive myself crazy. With my bestfriends here plus my cousins, I doubt I'll have the time to wonder about Ethan. When they got back with their stuff all of us decided we were going to camp out in the living room again so we all claimed the spot we wanted and laid our pillows and blankets on there.
Amy claimed the two cushion couch she always sits on every time she comes over. I don't how she's comfortable in there but she is so we just left her to it. She and Manny did have a mini fight over it but then she pointed out that he could get the bigger couch with more room, Manny ended up being okay with that and took the big couch. That left Sophie, Carmen and me on the floor. Sophie laid against the wall claiming it was because she likes to feel the coldness of the wall when she rolls over but I think it's because she and Brayden are going to be on the phone and she wants to make sure she has easy access to the outlet. Carmen and I were laid next to each other in the middle of the floor. I put Liam down in the room when he fell asleep so he wouldn't get lost under any of the mountains of blankets we had out. All of us had about three different blankets because I turned the A.C on high since Manny can't sleep any other way.
We settled on having a Disney Movie marathon, each of us taking turns picking one. It started off with Manny choosing Toy Story, Sophie chose Princess and the Frog, Amy wanted to watch Tangled even though she fell asleep halfway through it and so did Manny. To be fair it was about 11:35 pm when we put it on. I wanted to watch The Little Mermaid and Carmen chose Cars. I did try to refuse her of Cars telling her that it's supposed to be a Disney movie marathon and Wall-E is Pixar but then Carmen made the argument that if I would say Pixar's full name, I would say DISNEY Pixar so I let her have it.
Sometime during our marathon Brayden FaceTimed Sophie again and he ended up watching the movies with us as well. They both fell asleep during the Little Mermaid, leaving Carmen and me to watch the rest by ourselves. After Wall-E ended I put on Up but Carmen tapped out on me within 30 minutes into the movie. It was somewhere at 3:00 am so I guess that's okay but with no one to talk to my thoughts slowly slid away from the movie and into Ethan. That was a territory I didn't really feel like thinking about right now or at least not by myself because I'll just make me feel worse.
Turning the t.v off putting me in complete darkness I rolled over on my side, facing Carmen who had her back turned to me and was silently sleeping, hiking up on my elbow I leaned over her shoulder and poked her cheek.
"Psst Carm" I whisper. Carmen's face scrunched up and she brushed her cheek where my finger was. "Carma" I closed her nostrils so she couldn't breathe.
It took 20 seconds before Carmen woke up, slapping my hand away "What the fuck?" she groaned.
I snickered and laid back down "Are you up?"
"I hate you" she mumbled.
"I love you too, now talk to me, I can't sleep" I kicked her shin.
Carmen grunted and rolled over to face me with her eyes still closed "Hm?"
"How far are you in Mr. Perry's project?" I ask.
Carmen opens one eye to look at me before closing it again "Is that really what you want to talk about?"
She knows me too well "No" I sigh and bring my hands under my cheek.
"So tell me about it" she instructs.
"I know it's only been hours but I miss him Car, like a lot, maybe too much" I open up "It feels like I can't breathe and I hate that I feel that dependant on him"
Carmen moves on of her hands from under her blanket and cups it over one of mine "Kind of like Evan"
"No" I'm quick to correct her "Not that bad"
The side of Carmen's lips curve into a smile "Good"
"Still it's just like he's so close but so far. Why did I do this to myself?"
"You can't help how you feel or how Ethan takes it," Carmen tells me "He could've handled it like Ryan or he could've handled it like Ethan. He chose Ethan. That's on him not you"
"I lost control of this entire thing when we started this whole game thing I told myself I wouldn't fall for him but I did and we ended up dating and now look at me" my eyes started to sting with tears from talking about him.
"I got you" Carmen pulls her phone from under the pillow she was laying on and unlocks it, clicked a few things, typed something then Russ's Losin Control started playing.
"Oh my god I do not like you" I laugh with a tear rolling down my face but I swiftly wipe it away.
Carmen laughs, turning it off "Okay but seriously, you love him?" Carmen questions.
I stay quiet, chewing on my bottom lip. Carmen opens one of her eyes again to see me.
"I think so" I finally say "But I don't want to say it out loud because it'll just make all too real"
"You know I have a song for that too," she says re-unlocking her phone.
"I swear Carmen if you play the song I think you're going to play" I fight my laughter.
Carmen smirks and Hercules, I won't say I'm in love begins to play. I laugh and cover my face. Carmen laughs too before turning it off.
"Alright I'm done," she put her phone back under the pillow "But that's fine, you can fight it and hide it from him but I'm your bestfriend. I know you so if you don't want to say it I will"
My mouth forms into a smile on its own "I love him" I quietly reveal. Carmen nods her head "But I honestly don't feel like he feels the same about me and I don't want to go all-in and get hurt again"
"If he hurts you I will cut off his testicles" Carmen threatens.
I laughed lowly "I thought you liked him and were rooting for us"
"I was high don't listen to me" Carmen takes her vote back.
"Okay," I snicker.
"Plus I love you so it doesn't matter what Ethan feels" Carmen sticks her nose up. "If I were lesbian I'd marry you"
I laugh "If I were lesbian I'd say yes"
"Great we're hypothetically married" Carmen smiles.
I snort "Yes. Yes, we are."
"By the way, I want the cherry ring pop," she says.
"I want to the blue Raspberry one"
"In the words of Riley Freeman: Nigga you gay" Amy inputs from the couch.
Both Carmen and I burst out laughing, covering our mouths so we didn't wake anyone else up. We didn't even know she was up.
"You guys are laughing but like I wasn't even invited to the wedding or proposed to," Amy says "Like what if I wanted to marry you guys too?"
"We love you, Amy," I reach my hand up to her.
"No" she rolls over away from me, more into the cushions "Keep the gay energy to yourselves, fuck you guys"
"I thought you wanted to marry food?" Carmens aksed.
"You know what? you're right" Amy nods her head "And you two aren't invited to foods and I's wedding"
We snickered a little more before settling down and tried to fall asleep. Something Carmen said earlier, though, kept running around in my mind though.
"Camen" I nudge her shoulder.
"Hm?" she moans.
I guess she was already falling back asleep again. "What'd you mean earlier when you said you felt like Ethan was hiding something?"
"Nothing it was just a vibe and I was high, go to sleep" she brushes my question off, rolling over.
I guess she's right, I do need to sleep, I'm just tired and overthinking things. It's nothing. I closed my eyes with hazel green eyes, black soft hair, plump pink lips, and sharp jawlines circling around my brain.
