Jen: ...You're a-alive?
You stuttered.
Will: Not really completely alive, but pissed. The past really should stay in the past. We agreed on that a long time ago.
Jen: We're not the same people we were.
Will: You skipped over the part where the only people who knew about us are dead.
Jen: Not anymore.
Will: Just don't tell Ash.
The front door flung open and Ash stepped in. Everyone else filed in behind him.
Ash: A bit too late, big brother.
Colby: Jesus, he's good at eavesdropping.
Colby said more to himself, but everyone heard. Will walked over and gave Ash a hug but Ash didn't return the hug. Will pulled back and frowned.
Will: I'm back, come on. What's wrong?
Ash: I'm happy you're back, you just shouldn't have lied to me.
He said and pushed passed Will and ran up to his room.
Haley: Who wants to go check on him?
Peyton: I will. If he won't come down, I'll just bribe him with sex.
No one laughed.
Peyton: Joking.
Colby: Oh thank God.
Peyton went upstairs to help Ash.
Jen: So... Are we like... All asleep?
Will: That's the good part. I'm back. Permanently.
Jen: What? H-How?
Will: Well, the whole thing with Brennen took a lot of my energy. Immediately after we finally defeated him, I fell asleep. I woke up two days ago, feeling stronger than ever. I absorbed all of his energy, and now I can live among the living like a normal person. Believe it or not, a lot of people were dead at some point and they just had the energy to come back. Also, while I was asleep, I seen everything, like always, like a dream. So I know who Haley and Nathan are.
He looked at Haley and Nathan when he said their names. Nathan and Haley looked amazed.
Nathan: Wait- you're actually a guardian angel?
Will: Yes.
Will said in an obvious tone.
*Peyton's POV*
I walked up to Ash's room and his door was shut and and locked. I knocked.
Ash: Go away.
His tone was very mediocre.
Peyton: It's Peyton.
Ash: I don't care.
He said in an annoyed voice.
Peyton: I'll give you sex.
Ash: I'm not that kind of guy. Also, even if I was, I have lotion and tissues. I'm fine.
Peyton: Ash, please. You're being ridiculous.
Ash: No I'm not.
I'm done being nice.
Peyton: Ash I will this damn door off it's hinges!
Ash: Fine.
He opened the door and let me in.
Ash: Happy?
Peyton: Now go downstairs.
Ash: No.
Peyton: Please.
I begged.
Ash: How about we make a deal?
He smirked.
Peyton: I was joking before.
Ash: I know, but I want to know something else. I want to know what your dream was about last night.
I answered really quickly.
Peyton: You don't need to know that.
Ash: Why not?
Peyton: Because no one else needs to know.
Ash: Peyton, if these nightmares are bothering you, you need to tell someone. It can be me, Danielle, Jen, Haley, or anybody else. Just please, it's not good for you to keep it to yourself.
Peyton: Since when did you decide what was good for me?
I said in an angry tone.
Ash: Peyton, I'm trying to help you, keeping everything inside your head is much harder than talking about it. Trust me, I know from experience.
Peyton: Ash I'm fine.
Ash: Danielle told me you hadn't had a nightmare in months. Which means, you've had them before. It's probably easiest to talk about this with her or Jen, or Haley because their like your girlfriends... Or something.
For some reason, Ash's reaction to saying 'girlfriends' made me laugh harder than it should have. It doesn't seem like something he would say. It was like the complete opposite of his personality, like he's like 'The Emo Guy', hearing him say that took me by surprise.
Peyton: If I wanna talk about it, I wanna talk about it with you.
Ash nodded his head and smiled.
Ash: I just want you to be happy. That's all that matters to me.
Peyton: Ash, you don't understand, I've come to terms with what's happened to me. It's what completes me. Without it, I wouldn't be fully me. Even if it's dark, it's changed me and my decisions.
Ash: Is it what happened when you were with Brennen?
Peyton: Yeah, that psycho had me tied up in his basement for 6 months.
I said as if it was nothing.
Ash: What?
He asked, his voice cracking a little.
Peyton: Yeah, tied me to chair, tortured me....
I stopped for a second to process what I was telling him.
Peyton: He even got me pregnant.
I said, tears welling up in my eyes.
Ash: H-He got you-
He started, either too mad or too shocked to get the words out correctly.
Peyton: He looked up how to give an abortion. He did it himself, while I was awake. It was the most painful thing I had ever experienced.
The tears were falling now. I couldn't hold back any longer. Ash hugged me tightly as I cried into his shoulder. After a couple minutes, I had calmed myself down and I pulled away.
Ash: What about the panic attack you had?
Peyton: When he had me, he would always wash my back in the shower, because he always made me shower with him.
Ash: And the dreams?
Peyton: It's like I'm stuck there still, but it's only the pain I remember. The pain of him cutting into my stomach, over and over again. The only thing that helped me through it was you. I would imagine that you were there, telling me that everything would be okay. When it got really bad, I would close my eyes and just think of your face. That's all I needed to know that you still had hope for me, even when no one else did.
He smiled and opened his mouth like he was about to say something, but I wasn't finished, there is still something I have been waiting to say forever.
Peyton: If there's anything that this whole experience has taught me, it's that I love you, Ash Jenkins.
His mouth broke out into the largest smile I've ever seen and he kissed me. I looped my arms around his neck. He pulled away and stared into my eyes.
Ash: I love you too, Peyton Sawyer.

*Jen's POV*
You were sitting down, the thought of Will being back still sinking in. You heard yelling upstairs and a door slamming. Ash came running down the stairs yelling.
Ash: SHE SAID SHE LOVES ME!!!!!
Colby's mouth dropped to the floor and he jumped up and ran over to Ash.
Colby: I told you everything would be fine.
Ash hugged Colby tightly. When they pulled away Ash smiled brightly at Will and hugged him too.
Ash: I missed you so much.
Will: I know. I missed you too.
They hugged for a long time before Ash pulled away.
Will: Jen, could I talk to you for a second?
Jen: Sure.
Will: Privately, please.
Jen: Okay
You and Will went into the laundry room to talk, because he wanted to make sure no one could hear you two talking over the sound of the washing machine and the dryer going at the same time.
Will: I have something I need to tell you... and it's big.
Jen: Okay...
You said reluctantly.
Will: I can do great things now. Amazing, extraordinary, unbelievable things.
Jen: Like what?
Will put his hands on your stomach, not in a romantic way, just as a gesture for his next few words.
Will: Things you thought weren't possible anymore.
Sorry about the SUPER late update. I've had a lot of school to catch up on, I'm proud I have all A's and one B so far in my classes. I've been working really hard and in order to do that, I had to take a break for a couple days from writing. Don't get me wrong, it was the most stressful and frustrating thing ever because you guys have no clue how many times I wanted to throw the stupid boring book across the room and start writing on my phone. Anyway, thank you for waiting for me to catch up on things and I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
