I let out a small groan in discomfort as I tossed over in bed who knows how many times. I saw Liu sleeping peacefully on his side of the bed and I let out a sigh of relief that he was next to me.
I managed to sleep for a small while but like any other person who was attacked when they were sleeping, well... I couldn't sleep.
It was giving me a killer headache trying.
I glance over at the bedside table to see my water bottle empty.
'Right...' I thought to myself "get another bottle of water... do i remember the way to the kitchen?"
I know I should stay in bed but the haunting mask of the woman kept flashing through my mind and I had to distract myself somehow.
I slowly climbed out of bed and quietly left the room. I'd ask Liu to get me another bottle but he's done enough for me and he must be tired also, why stop the both of us sleeping?
I went through the corridor and went down the stairs leading to the living room.
I made your way into the kitchen but I instantly regretted switching on the light as I felt myself startle suddenly.
"What are you doing?" A gruff voice asked, there was a white hoodied figure sitting on a stool. It was an island kitchen and he was sitting at the counter in the middle, his back was toward me so I couldn't see his face.
"I just needed to get something to drink" I tell him feeling awkward.
"At this time of night?" He asked, not really sounding like he cared
"Well...I'm struggling to fall asleep..." I confess to him as I opened the fridge but I paused
"Can I?"
"Knock yourself out" he shrugged not facing me once, I gladly reached up the for a bottle of water and closed the fridge.
"Hey" I heard a growl, I turn around quickly to see he had is upper body turned from where he was sitting.
He was wearing a bandana and I could only see the same pair of wide burnt eyes that I saw the other night. I'd be lying to myself if I said that he didn't scare me, but he did save me after all.
"He didn't save your life intentionally" Liu's words reminded me.
'Okay...but he still saved me...' I argued internally.
"Yeah?" I ask confused, clutching the cold bottle in my hand.
"Just take some sleeping meds" he said bluntly as he pulled a small box of them out of his pocket, placing them on the table beside him
"Im sorry? Why?" I asked confused. We just met and he's offering me pills?
"Because the sooner you take these the sooner you'll leave me alone...I need time to...think" he grunted, turning around and pulling down his bandana to take a drink.
I approach the table as he lifted his bandana back up and I inspected the small box.
My eyes wondered to the worn pocket he pulled them out from to see a sharp blade slightly sticking out of it
'Is that a knife?!'
He may be Lou's brother but that doesn't stop him from being dangerous...but if I just leave I could offend him and make things worse...
Hesitantly I sat on a stool on the island counter opposite him. He noticed my nerves as I couldn't help but keep glancing at the knife.
He let out an aggravated sigh as he took out the weapon, instantly causing me to lean back a little but he placed it on the counter.
He grabbed the box of tablets and tossed them over to me.
They were legit and even prescribed in his name... I decided to take a few, it's not like my night wasn't already messed up anyway.
He proceeded to unzip his white jacket and place it on the counter covering the weapon from my view. However, I couldn't help but keep glancing towards it.
"youve seen me with it before haven't you?" He asked annoyed "Just don't think about it. You're lucky I-" he stopped himself from finishing his sentence as he got up to leave.
"Wait!" I spoke frantically before he left "your Liu's brother aren't you?" I ask him oddly hoping for the conversation to continue, I had to thank him somehow.
"What of it?" He asked not bothering to turn around this time
"He never told me he had a brother. I guess it's nice to meet you"
"You've already seen two of us, can you blame him?"
"Well, i don't understand the deal with the masks, but you're eyes, and your skin...i don't mean to offend you... but are you a burn victim?"
"You could say that..." his voice grew more aggravated.
"You seem...like a nice guy" I try to compliment him
I heard him emit a low sigh of annoyance, as if he was holding something back.
"Where are you going?" I asked him as he went to leave
"Just stay away from me" he warned.
"I'm sorry if i have offended you but there is nothing wrong with the way you look, and I'm guessing not with the other guy that helped me as well...Even though he was really scary" I muttered under my breath
"My skin and my eyes aren't the worst thing about me. Its why I'm wearing this stupid thing" he gestured to the cloth that covered his face. "You don't know anything about us and if it were up to any of us then you wouldn't even be here!"
"Okay, I'm sorry" I try to calm him down worriedly "But i don't care about how you look, i have no right to judge."
"Tch" he clicked his tongue "Jack would like someone like you..." he commented under his breath "just wait until you meet us all tomorrow, after that I'm sure you'd rather take your chances with Jane at your own home"
"What do you mean?" My brows creased in confusion.
"Do you feel safe here?"
"With Liu here yeah and you guys did help me so...kind of i guess" I tried to tell him honestly.
"You wont. Not after tomorrow, the fear you felt with Jane will be amplified, and you'll feel just as unsafe here as you were back there. Now that I think about it. Liu bringing you here must be one of the most stupid things he's ever done"
"He's trying his best" I lightly moved the bottle aside, I folded your arms on the counter and leaned my head on them as the meds kicked in.
"I just figured since I'm friends with Liu that it'd be nice to get to know you.. and to at least thank you for helping me the other day"
"Shut the hell up" was all he responded with not seeming interested, it made me feel awkward as I'd be staying in the same house as him for a while but I thought about it less I felt my eyes involuntary close, I couldn't help but slip away.

Jeff POV
What a fucking nuisance.
He thought as he looked at her sleeping peacefully
'When she finds out what we are i guarantee she's going to become that dumb chick that dies first in every horror movie from the stupid choices she makes...'
He felt his hands drifting towards his jacket that laid on the table and he gripped it lightly, before he knew it he draped it over her shoulders as he grabbed his knife.
"I'm doing this for Liu, annoy me as much as a little bit- even though I'm not aloud to kill you doesn't mean I won't beat the shit out of you." He warned her even though she couldn't hear.
"Jeff?" EJ called out quietly "you here?" He entered the kitchen and paused at the sight. Jeff was already standing at the other side of the room
"Its the girl I saved" He commented looking at her
"Yeah. I saved her too" Jeff nodded "I Found her like this, she has some nerve wandering around here by herself at this time."
"Where's everyone else?" Ej asked
"Who knows" He shrugged
"We're here" Ben called out from the living room quietly.
"Is that your jacket?" EJ asked confused.
"Yeah she must've found it" Jeff urged jack with him as they left the kitchen and entered the living room where Liu, Ben, Masky, hoodie and Toby were.
"Liu you're friend wandered into the kitchen and fell asleep" Jeff told him with a huff as he pulled out a small bottle of eye drops and began to apply it.
"I was wondering where she got off too she had me worried" he shook his head "we'll just have to be quiet"
"So what the hell is going on?" Masky asked unhappy with the situation.
"Y/n, the girl in the kitchen is my best friend and Jane attacked her last night because she thinks she's going to be one of us"
"But she isn't!" Toby glared with a frown as if it was offensive. "We don't- don't even know her!"
"But she thinks so now...especially after seeing Jack and Jeff save her... she attacked Y/n and almost went against her own morales of killing innocents, she was threatening to kill her and her grandparents"
"For fuck sake" Jeff groaned in annoyance.
"We weren't aware until recently but Jane has grown strong...really, really strong and she's been keeping eyes on us without us even knowing, thats how she found Y/n" Liu informed "we could kill her if she actually decided to face us head on but she's being careful and sneaky"
"Why did you bring her here?" Ben asked
"For us to protect her, I'm hoping just for the week but I have a feeling she's going to stay here until Jane is completely dealt with..."
"Are you kidding me?!" Masky snapped "why haven't we killed her yet it would save us a lot of trouble!"
"Because she's my friend!" Liu broke his whisper, but he still did his best to stay quiet
"Your friend?" Jeff mocked "are you sure she isn't your guilty burden?"
"You shut your mouth or I'll stitch it up" Liu retaliated. "You don't talk about her that way! I care about her and I'm not letting Jane win!"
"She's trying to turn you against us Liu by targeting Y/n, you know that right?" Ej informed calmly
"I'm aware, she almost got the better of me a year ago, but this time I won't let her win...she messed with Y/n and put her in danger...She's dead to me and I'll do everything in my power to kill her"
"Look at my brother go" Jeff clapped sarcastically "Pretending to be a hero and causing more trouble for the rest of us. I wonder what Sully would have to say about it"
"Don't even start with that!" Liu argued with a glare "Besides if she's that much of an inconvenience why didn't you just let Gibbs attack her?"
"I had no choice" He told him "because I did it for YOU!"
"Whatever...it's going to be tough to convince her to stay when we're all so 'different' for her...especially Ben...he's the weirdest" Liu stated
"He is weird" Ej folded his arms
"I'm not weird!" Ben frowned offended
"And a pervert" Toby added
"Shut up! You're just mad I get more action than all of you put together" Ben pointed " it's not like it's my fault anyway, do you know how long I've been 18 for? I'm stuck experiencing these hormones for eternity!"
"...right" Liu nodded as he addressed the whole group " I'll brief her on everything she needs to know before she meets you guys...your looks, your personalities, everything." He informs
"Even that we're killers?" Masky asked folding his arms. Liu stood there troubled for a moment before answering.
"...yes even that...she needs to know everything and if she doesn't she'll just continue to pry anyway"
They all have unhappy nods but Jeff stayed silent next to Ej crossing his arms
"What a fucking mess..." He mumbled annoyed
"Liu" Hoodie got his attention "you know having her stay here is going to be problematic, we're not the right kind of people for someone like her to be living with, and she's not the right kind of person for us to be living with"
"I know" he replied looking guilty "I hate to do this to you guys, I know it's insulting to you to have her here. But please I'm asking you, im begging you. As my brothers, please help me out on this one."
