Today was the day of Jenny's callback, and Indigo just had to be there for her best friend. Jenny was there for when Indigo auditioned for Spider-Man, so she had to do the same for her.
They stayed in LA at Zendaya's house, with Tom and Harrison in New York taking care of Tessa. Tom definitely wished Jenny the best of luck, which she deeply appreciated.
Zendaya drove the three of them to the callback, not forgetting to stop by Starbucks on the way. There was definitely some teasing about how Jenny probably wished Laura was there, but little did they know that Laura sent Jenny a text this morning wishing her good luck. The text of course made her blush, and it only made her crush on Laura more.
"What's the show called again?" Zendaya asked as she had her eyes on the road. Remember kids, always pay attention.
"Um, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll." Jenny replied.
Indigo, who was sipping on her drink, almost choked as she heard Jenny's response. "Huh?"
"Yup, that's the name of the show." She said as she let out an awkward laugh. "But I get to sing! That is if I get the part."
"More like when you get the part because you're totally gonna get it!" Indigo exclaimed.
"I hope so." Jenny sighed. A few moments later they made it to the studio where she would do her callback, and nerves were running high.
Zendaya, who was looking in the rear view mirror, could instantly notice that Jenny was scared shitless, so she had to give her some sage advice.
"Jenny," She turned around. "don't sweat this. You gotta walk in there, show no fear, and swish importantly showcase the talent you have!"
"I would've never imagined receiving advice from Zendaya." Jenny sniffled. Yeah, she was kind of crying. "I so needed this."
"Now get in there!" Indigo yelled. "You got 10 minutes and it's always great to be early!"
"Alright, alright!" Jenny unbuckled her seatbelt, grabbed her purse, then got out of the car. "You guys aren't just gonna abandon me, right?"
"There's a Panera down the road, don't worry!" Indigo replied.
"Get me some mac and cheese!" After that Zendaya and Indigo drove away, and all they could do now is pray as they feast on borderline hospital food.

"Thank you! Oh my god-"

Later they picked Jenny up, with a to go order of mac and cheese of course, and she looked like she had just witnessed a murder.
"Uh, you good?" Indigo asked hesitantly. Was it a bad idea to ask her what happened? Probably.
"I so fucked up that callback." Jenny said, looking back at what happened in there.
"What happened?" Zendaya questioned her, not even begun driving yet.
"So they gave me some sheet music and asked me to sing this song, and it had like a pretty high note, ya know? And usually I hate that stuff with ease but I went flat! God, it was horrible and-"
"Jenny." Indigo said, but Jenny wasn't stopping.
"Who's gonna hire me if I go flat on such important notes? Nobody's gonna want me-"
"Jenny!" She yelled, which got her to stop rambling. "What?"
"Shut up and eat your mac and cheese." Indigo rolled her eyes and handed her the container.
"Alright." Jenny sighed and took the box. "I'm so not getting this part."

A few hours after they got to Zendaya's house, Jenny got the phone call that could make or break her. She answered quickly, and all Zendaya and Indigo could do was watch her take the call.
"Hello? Yeah, this is she." Jenny said into the phone. There was some silence for a minute, with some "uh huh"'s here and there. Nobody could tell what was happening, but it could possibly be good.
"What's going on?" Indigo whispered to Zendaya.
"I wish I knew." Zendaya whispered back.
"Alright, um, thank you." Once Jenny hung up, she looked over to the two girls who were itching to find out what just went down.
"Well?"
"I got the part!" Jenny squealed. Immediately after they all joined in on a group hug, shouting tons of congratulations and such. This was the break Jenny had been waiting for, and it was finally happening.
As a gay woman, Jenny found it really hard to land roles. Even though the lgbt community has been more accepted in recent years, there's still those people out there who are pieces of shit towards them. But, there was finally someone who looked past sexuality, and saw her for her talent. It was all she could ever ask for, and she couldn't be happier.
"I'm so fucking proud of you." Indigo whispered as she squeezed Jenny tightly.
"Thank you, for everything." Jenny sobbed and held her best friend tight. The tears that were shed were happy ones, and who knew when they would stop.
Hollywood was finally going to know Jenny Mitchell's name.

So that was a cute little chapter because Jenny deserves happiness-
ANYWAY I'm super happy to see that I've added one more chapter to what I have planned for the rest of this story! NOW there's 11 chapters left, but trust me, we're in for a wild ride.
I can't wait for you guys to see the ending of this story UGH I've been working on the wedding for months believe it or not
