"The bridge is coming down!" Someone on the outside was watching over us. With Will, Epps, and their combined forces now heading into the heart of Chicago to take down the pillar, Sam and I broke off to see if we could help the Autobots. They were surrounded by Decepticons, and we barely managed to dive into an upturned car without getting caught. I let out a tiny growl when Dylan approached Barricade. "Prisoners, you're keeping prisoners??" Barricade cocked his cannon, nodding his helm.
"You need to teach them about respect. This was all business, but now it's personal- Do you understand me?!" Barricade nodded again, this time with an evil look on his faceplate. "I understand. No prisoners. Only trophies." To my horror, another Decepticon grabbed Que, dragging him away from the rest of the Autobots. "Your time is up," The Decepticon hissed, throwing Que into the middle of an empty area. "Can't we talk about this?? We're all a bunch of good chaps-"
They didn't even give him a chance. With two shots to the head and chest, Que was gone in seconds. "No-" Sam covered my mouth with his hand, keeping me hushed. There was a round of laughter from the Decepticons. They were enjoying this. Tears welled up in my eyes when I looked at Bee. He was mourning Que and murmured his goodbye through the radio. My ring was cold against my hand, and I had to do everything I could to stop myself from screaming Bee's name.
I wanted to help him. Hell, if I could kill the Decepticons myself, I would. But I couldn't, and neither could Sam. We could only watch and hope some miracle would occur to help the Autobots. "No-" I gasped out as Soundwave grabbed Bee. "You're mine," Soundwave growled, pulling Bee over to the same place where they executed Que. "Get off me-" Bee broke away from Soundwave to fall against Que's dead body. He was still mourning the death of his old friend. Giving Bee no time for any sort of closure, Soundwave pulled him back.
Bee was forced onto his knees, and I couldn't take it anymore. I scooted further back into the car, grabbing Sam's backpack. I brought out the spare boomstick, trying to activate it. "We have to help him-" It simply sparked and failed to be of any use. "Rose, we can't help him now." Angry tears rolled down my cheeks as I threw the sparking invention aside, refusing to acknowledge Sam's words. The Autobots had come so far since they had barrelled into our lives. We had to do something. "Sam please, they're going to kill him."
Remembering our current situation, I crawled back up to the front of the car to where the door was missing. "Bee, please, please fight back," I knew Soundwave would kill us if he noticed us, so I tried to keep quiet. Bee somehow heard me, looking towards our hiding spot. He stayed silent, optics widening as he noticed both Sam and I huddled in the wrecked car. "We gave them a hell of a run," Bee spoke through the radio, and I felt hot tears roll down my cheeks. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat, especially if it meant seeing Bee one last time.
"No-" Sam pulled me into a hug as Soundwave raised his cannon to the back of Bee's helm. My tears fell freely as I buried my face into Sam's shoulder, wishing the Decepticons would just disappear. "Hey, Rose, look!" Wiping tears away from my eyes, I craned my neck to examine the sky. The Decepticon warship was falling from the sky, a piece of the hull hurtling towards our very position. "Can't get a break, can we?" Sam pushed me towards the other side of the car wreck, away from where the debris was going to land.
The crash landing of the debris distracted Soundwave, allowing Bee to attack the Decepticons surrounding him. "Yeah, go Bee!" I hastily scrambled away from the fighting robots, while still keeping an eye out for Bee. After dispatching the other Decepticons, Bee went for Soundwave. He shoved his cannon into Soundwave's chassis and blew his fucking head off. "Holy shit. Sam, tell me you saw that!" Sam was too busy watching out for more Decepticons to pay any attention to me.
Totally ignoring the battle around us, I jumped to my feet, cheering loudly. "YEAH BEE! YOU ROCK!" My boyfriend whirred, smashing his fists together in my direction, his door wings perking up. All three of us looked up when a loud noise filled the air. The Decepticon warship was falling towards the river, and I flinched as it crash-landed, making the ground shake a little. "Bee! Come on, we have to get to the pillars!" Bee quickly transformed, waiting for us to get into his altmode before taking off.
Along the way, we were joined by the Wreckers and the rest of the Autobots. As a convoy, we headed into the heart of Chicago. Bee pulled up in the middle of a street that was covered with the bodies of dead Decepticons. Will, Epps, and even more military forces were gathered along the side of the street. One of the larger military trucks suddenly took out the bridge, completely destroying it. Decepticons rounded the corner, and there were a lot of them. "Shit-"
I dragged Sam into a bus stop, which acted as a shelter for us. The Autobots attacked the wave of Decepticons, but it was one bot, in particular, that cause my attention. "Optimus!" The leader of the Autobots, whom I hadn't seen since he saved us from Shockwave's minion, suddenly came in hot, firing at the Decepticons. While the Autobots busied themselves with the first few Cons, Optimus was in some kind of rage mode. He tore through multiple Cons before going after the injured Shockwave who had been hanging at the back.
With just a few punches, Optimus managed to take out Shockwave. He then aimed his cannon at the pillar, firing one shot. The pillar remained intact, but the energy was cut off, and the transportation process was halted. I could still see Cybertron in our atmosphere, however. "Get down here Sentinel!" The two Primes started to battle, and it was then I realised what we were meant to be doing. "Sam, I have to get to that pillar!" I was about to run for it when he grabbed my wrist. "What? No! You'll be killed out there-"
I looked at my brother for a long moment. "Sam, we've already sacrificed so much for this. I won't let it end with the Decepticons in charge. Now, are you with me or not?" Sam didn't hesitate when he nodded. "Always." I grabbed his hand, and we both ran out onto the battlefield. Optimus was still fighting Sentinel, but the older Prime had called in Decepticon ships as reinforcements, and it was giving him the upper hand.
Sam was on a rush of adrenaline, jumping over cars and dragging me along with him. It was only when I caught sight of a certain Decepticon that I broke away from him. "Rose!" I furiously waved for him to go. "Just go! I'll catch up with you!" I ducked under a car, running towards the side street where I swore I'd seen Megatron. Sam continued on running towards the pillar. I reached the mouth of the alleyway, now a little scared.
Megatron could easily kill me, but last I'd seen, he'd been injured by Sentinel. Ignoring my fears, I ran into the alleyway, ducking under Megatron's bent leg to stand in front of him. "Ah. Have you come to surrender?" The energy beam was suddenly reactivated, but I didn't let my panic show. I climbed up onto a pile of crashed cars so I could be closer to his optic level. "Was it all worth it, Megatron?" The Decepticon leader scoffed. "Of course. Cybertron is safe, at last." I put on a smirk, stepping closer to Megatron's helm.
"All your work to bring Sentinel back, and now clearly he has all the power. It's actually almost tragic." Megatron became rather angry, lashing out with one servo. "You dare lecture me, slave?!" Looking past the sharp claws right in front of my face, I kept going. "Your Decepticons finally conquering this planet, and yet their leader won't be you." He slammed his servo down onto the pile of cars, and they jolted beneath me. "It will be me, it will always be me!" I struggled to stay stable, angrily leaning towards Megatron.
"Any minute now, they'll be laughing. And you'll be Sentinel's bitch." Megatron went to slam his servo down on me this time, but he stopped before he touched me. It looked like my words had gotten through to him. He growled, but turned away from me and ran out of the alleyway. I gave chase, just to find the Autobots had won against the wave of Decepticons. The pillar was still activated, and I was, unfortunately, present from afar to watch my brother murder Dylan by shoving him into the pillar, which electrocuted him.
"Rose, come on!" Will had noticed me standing to the side, and motioned for me to follow him and his troops. I quickly sprinted after them. They and the Autobots were going to attempt to disarm the pillar. Hopefully for good. "Sam!" I climbed up onto the pile of rubble, being careful not to go near the pillar. "Rose-" I grabbed him in a hug, just in time to pull him out of the way as Bee came running in, tackling the pillar. It cut off the energy transmission, and this time, we got to watch the mostly transported Cybertron be sucked up into a black hole.
"Oh my god..." There was commotion on the far end of the bridge. Optimus, who was missing his right arm, had just decapitated Megatron and was now about to shoot Sentinel. I didn't look away from the scene and wore a grim expression as he killed Sentinel Prime. Bee dropped the now dormant pillar, transforming into his altmode. As Sam and I climbed back down to the ground, Bee popped open his door. "Come on princess. Let me give you one more ride." I knew this wasn't the end. Happily, I hopped into Bee's Camaro altmode with Sam, and he took us down the road, stopped on the bridge next to Optimus.
We got out, letting him transform. I motioned for him to come closer to me, and he crouched down to be at our level. "Thank you for being here, Bee." In front of the surviving Autobots, and Sam, and the surrounding NEST soldiers, I placed a gentle kiss on Bee's mouth plates. The Autobot bashfully moved away, his faceplate armour coming down to hide his face from view. This caused chuckling to emerge from the other Autobots. "We won the battle, and Bee won the girl," Sideswipe remarked.
I grinned as Sam shoved my shoulder lightly. "Stop doing that, you know it makes him shy." I was never going to stop doing it. If it gave me this kind of reaction from Bee, I'll always do it. Ratchet stepped joined us on the bridge, placing a servo on Bee's shoulder. "You fought bravely." Bee made a soft whirring noise, most likely thanking his friend. I looked up to Optimus, and internally squealed when he nodded his helm to Sam and I. "Thank you for your sacrifice. There won't come a day when I will not be grateful for what you two have done for my kind."
Sam wrapped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me against his side. "We did good, didn't we?" I looked to him, then to Bee. "Hell yeah, we did."

This isn't the last chapter! There's one last little bit to go. Believe me, I cried when I wrote it. To all of you who've commented, voted, even just read my Bumblebee stories, I want to say thank you. You've really made it a fun experience, and I'm sad to see Book Three come to an end.
