RAELYNN POV

I brushed my hands over my outfit, smiling.

It was Valentine's Day and I was so excited to spend my first Valentine's Day with Marcus.

I was wearing a blush pink romper that had spaghetti straps. I was also wearing some nude gladiator sandals and I had French braided my hair to one side. My make up was very natural with a gold eye and nude lips.

I grabbed my phone and backpack, heading downstairs. Marcus said he would be a few minutes early so we could get breakfast before school.

"Good morning Rae." My mom smiled. She was wearing her normal slacks with a light pink blazer and her hair in a bun.

"Marcus should be here soon." I mumble to myself, before talking to my mom.

"The construction at the shop should be done in a week or two!" She exclaimed, happy. "And I'm calling your dad later today." She sighed. I know how hard it is for her without dad home, especially on days like this.

She's told me the story about their first Valentine's Day several times. They skipped class and hung out on the football field. My dad took her under the bleachers and gave her a necklace.

"That's him." I smile when a honk sounds. "Bye mom!" I wave heading out. I climb into the truck, and Marcus takes my hand.

"Ready for breakfast beautiful?" He asks, I excitedly nod, and he laughs. "Then let's go."

We pull up at iHop about 5 minuets later, as we climb out. Marcus takes my hand, and I smile. Yes, it's been about a month, but I'm still not used to all the feelings he gives me.

"You seriously posting that?" Marcus asks in disbelief. I laugh, nodding.

"Of course!" I say, tapping away on my phone.

"Hey." Marcus says, and I look up at him. Before I can think, he taps my nose, and it's sticky.

"Marcus!" I exclaim, checking my face on my phone. Sure enough, he's taken a chunk of my whipped cream and smeared it on my nose. "Really." I deadpan, wiping it away with a napkin.

He doubles over in laughter, and I can't help but smile. He finally calms down, and we start on our food.

"Happy Valentine day!" Naomi exclaimed as we enter the building. She's wearing a red dress with white polka dots and some white converse. Luke comes up behind her, chuckling.

The school was decorated with red, pink, and white hearts and streamers covered the ceiling.

"What do you have planned for after school?" Naomi smirks at me.

Recently, I've been one to have get togethers with my friends.

"Maybe we can head to the beach? I can have my mom pick up some food or we can make it ourselves." I shrug. Naomi squeals, and I laugh.

"Is she okay?" Luke asks me. Marcus and I laugh, nodding.

"Yes. Valentines is just her favorite day. Try to get through it without busting an ear drum, we dare you." Marcus chuckled. I smacked his arm and he grinned down at me.

"Shut it." I laughed and Naomi nodded.

"Yeah. Shut it Marc." She joined. We all ended up laughing as we went to art.

"Bye baby." Marcus kissed my lips before going off to theater.

"Ready?" Marcus asked me, and I nodded.

"Hey, Rae. Ruby ask-" Allie started, but stopped. "Oh. Hey Marcus." She lightly, waved.

"Oh. I'm leaving. I told Ruby I'm cutting my shift short. But Janine is coming in to fill in." I tell her, removing my apron.

"Oh. Okay. But can you help me with the machine again. It's acting up." She rolled her eyes and I laughed.

"I'll be right back." I told Marcus, pecking his lips from across the counter before heading towards the machine.

"All fixed." We said as I grabbed my bag. "Bye!" I waved and left with Marcus holding my hand.

"I'll see you later." Marcus said, kissing my head as I wandered into my house. Naomi was sitting on my couch, watching tv with some candy.

"Nay!" I exclaim, joining her. "Let's get ready in thirty minutes." I say, taking some of the candy.

"Ahh! I'm so excited!" Naomi squealed as I put my hair into a ponytail.

I was wearing a black and white stripped triangle bikini top with pink floral high waisted bottoms.

Naomi was wearing a one piece orange swimsuit with a cut out in the center.

"Let's go!" She exclaimed, grabbing my arm.

"Nay! Relax! We still have ten minutes until we meet up." I laughed as we went downstairs, Naomi pouting.

"Hey mom." I grinned, sitting on the couch in her office. She waved, before returning to her sketches.

"How's your Valentine's Day been?" She asked, once she finished.

"Amazing. Everything I've ever dreamed." Naomi sighed. I chuckled, squeezing my best friends shoulder.

"Well, it's been perfect, except we didn't profess our love for each other under the bleachers like a fairytale." I smirked. My mom laughed, but at the same time frowned.

"We should go." Naomi said, and I nodded, waving bye. We left the house with some coverups on and some extra drinks.

"Hey boys! Girls!" Naomi squealed as we arrived. Luke scooped her into his arms, kissing her.

"Hey beautiful." Marcus grinned, kissing my lips softly. I winded my arms around his neck, and his hands found their way around my waist. My fingers played with his hair, when he pulled back.

"I'd love to make out with you all night, but we're kinda in public." He smirked, pecking my nose. I gripped his shirt, holding him close to me.

"I like having you hold me." I whispered and I feel laugh rumbled through out him.

"That's not a problem." He smiled, picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.

"Marcus!!! Not what a meant!" I shouted, kicking my feet and punching his back.

"Sure." He laughed. I hugged in annoyance as he set me back down on the sand, next to the bonfire. He sat down on a chair and pulled me into his lap. I felt his hard chest against my back, as I rested my head on his shoulder.

His hands were wrapped around my stomach, one stroking my upper thigh.

"Okay! Let's play a game?" Aria suggests, sitting on a bench next to Brea.

"Most likely to?" Naomi says, sitting with us. Luke is manning the grill right behind her as he agrees.

"Okay then. Everyone." I smirk and they all nod.

"Most likely to sleep through an earthquake?" Naomi says.

  "Aria."

  "Marcus."

  "Naomi."

  "Raelynn."

Several names are heard through out the group, as we argue.

"But I literally carried Lynnie downstairs before she woke up!"

"Aria hasn't woken up after I jumped on her."

"Naomi sleeps through Wyatt yelling in her ear, and me."

"Marcus has slept through a train horn!"

Finally, we agreed on me, and i shrugged.

"Most likely to be a heart breaker." Luke said.

"Naomi." We all chimed and Naomi looks offended.

"Sorry Nay, But you know it's true." I laughed. She began laughing with me and soon enough, everyone was laughing.

"Eleven already!" Brea whined. I laughed, while also yawning.

"Yep. Time to go. We have school tomorrow." I said and everyone groaned.

Once we were all packed up, we all said bye and everyone left. Marcus was staying the night at my house, so we walked up the dunes to my home.

"Happy Valentine's Day Lynnie." Marcus whispered once I'd come out of the shower, changed. I smiled, pecking his lips. He pulled me closer to him, deepening the kiss.

We fell back into my bed, as I straddled him.

"As much as I love this, we need to sleep." He sighed, tracing the outline of my facial features. I nodded, rolling off of him and into my comforter. He followed, tracing circles on my hip. "One more thing." He said. He then reached over grabbing a small box, handing it to me.

"Marc. This is getting to be too much. Stop buying me expensive things." I playfully complained. He rolled his eyes, kissing my nose.

"Not until you stop loving me."

"Then I'll just have to deal." I smirked, opening the box.

Inside was a small necklace with a butterfly on it. There were three jewels on the buttery. With it, was a card.

No matter how much time goes by - I still get butterflies.

"Marc. Thank you." I exclaim, wrapping my arms around his neck. He chuckles, hugging me back. "Thank you so much. It's beautiful." I say, letting go of him and holding the delicate chain in my fingers.

"The word are true. You still give me butterflies, and you always will." He grinned, kissing me.

And that's how our Valentine's Day ended.

With a make out.
