Mark sighed as the younger left his office.
But.. was he really about to say something to him? Just like that? Wth got into him suddenly?
He ruffled his hair and started to go check up on the other people's presentations.
Haechan and Jeno on the other hand were really busy with the interns.
"Come on man! I've explained it three times already. Don't use those images, they aren't necessary!" Jeno whined
"Ya! Do you really think that they would be able to make out what the hell is written there? Why not use invisible words instead huh?" Haechan said rolling his eyes.
"And why do you keep making the same presentation over and over again? Do you think this is a copy/ paste contest?" Haechan groaned annoyed
They've been spending now an hour with these interns and yet the chaos didn't die down.
"You know what, Let's have a 5 minutes break. Go find your last two braincells! We need to finish this neatly." Haechan said and walked out with Jeno.
"They really need to put someone here permanently, to check up on them regularly. Like seriously, we won't be able to do this every time someone comes visiting us." Jeno said taking a sip of his coffee
"I know. They're so stupid like seriously. These are the basics and yet they can't manage those on their own. What if we were too busy and they would've had to do it without our help. Imagine How big of a mess that would be.
And how much trouble we would get in." Haechan said drinking water
"You." Jeno said drinking his coffee
"What?" Haechan asked confused
"I meant that you would get in big trouble." Jeno said smiling
"I would love to disagree but you're damn right! I always get in trouble! Even if it's not my fault!" Haechan groaned
Jeno just laughed along.
"Let's go, we have lots of work to do Mr troublemaker." Jeno said standing up
"Excuse you, I don't make trouble!" Haechan said following the other.
"Alright then, Mr. TriggerMark." Jeno said opening the door.
"That was lame." Haechan said rolling his eyes
• Time Skip•
Finally the presentations went well, Thank god.
And Mark's dad was pleased but ofcourse had to tell Mark to improve it anyways.
The interns and other workers were sent back to their floor.
"Let's have lunch before we leave, shall we?" His mother asked Mark.
"Sounds good to me." Mark said smiling back.
"Oh right. Your secretary has to join you, right?" She asked looking at the younger who was helping Jeno turning off the computers.
"Uh.. he-" Mark was cut off again by his mother.
"You're not planning on breaking the rules, are you son?" She asked with an eyebrow raised
Suddenly his dad gave him a stern look, which made Mark gulp nervously.
"N-no. I was not." He said with a forced smile
"Good. Now we'll be leaving to the restaurant we always go to. Come as soon as possible. We'll be waiting for you guys." His mother said patting his shoulder
Mark nodded and escorted them towards the lift.
"For fucks sake. He probably won't agree after yesterday." Mark whispered ruffling his hair annoyed.
He entered the room and saw Haechan and Jeno laughing about something.
He cleared his throat and walked in.
"And? Did they say something?" Jeno asked and Haechan looked at him too with anticipation
"N-no. I mean yes! They found it well done." Mark said
Haechan smiled and high fived Jeno.
"We deserve an award for this." Haechan said
Mark looked at him with sarcasm washing all over him.
"An award? For what? Being the biggest idiot on earth?" He asked crossing his arms
Haechan was this close to throw the whole computer along with the table on his face.
Only if the pay wouldn't be this good..
"Excuse you! Your interns should get that reward instead. Or should I say you? For hiring the biggest idiots who don't even know the basics about presentations. Or what about for not hiring someone who regularly checks up on the interns in order for them to improve themselves?" Haechan said back
"Damn.." Jeno whispered
"Uhh.. I think someone was calling me. So excuse me gentlemen." He said and quickly walked out earning a glare from Mark.
"You know, sometimes you really do forget that you're talking to your damn boss. And not one of your friends, if you have any." Mark said walking towards the younger
"Well, sometimes you forget that you're talking to your secretary and not your play buddy. And second off, I'm damn sure that I have more friends then you will ever get, judging on how your non existent social life works." Haechan said clicking his tongue
"That's it. You asked for it yourself. It's either accept your punishment or come join me for dinner with my parents." Mark said leaning against the desk
Haechan groaned ruffling his hair.
"Am I the only one who you see whenever someone invites you to eat something with them?" Haechan asked
"Yes, maybe because of the fact that you're my SECRETARY? I don't know, you say?" Mark said sarcastically
Haechan sighed trying to calm himself down.
"Whatever. Guess I have no other choices." He said sighing
Mark smiled and gestured the younger towards the door.
•Time Skip•
"WAIT!" haechan screamed when the older was about to step out of the car.
"What?" Mark asked
"I only came here for the food. Don't try to mend me into the conversation at all. I honestly don't care." Haechan said and smiled
Mark almost wanted to take out his eyes and roll them all the way back to France.
"Oh my god. I won't even try to argue with you." Mark groaned and stepped out
Haechan smiled proudly and followed the older inside.
They saw Mark's parents sitting on a table, food already set up.
His parents were sitting opposite each other and Mark and Haechan sat on the right side next to each other.
"Good evening Sir, Ma'am." Haechan greeted and bowed.
Both gave him a smiled and nodded.
Mark greeted aswell and they took their seats.
While they were talking about random stuff, Haechan just tried to focus on his food only.
But he kept feeling Mark's mom giving him stares.
Haechan kicked Mark underneath the table and Mark choked on his food.
"Oh my god, honey here drink some water." His mother said giving him a glass of water.
"Be careful, Sir." Haechan said grinning
Mark glared back trying to stay calm.
"What the hell was that for?" Mark whispered
"Do I have something on my face?" Haechan asked
"Nothing except that annoying grin of yours." Mark said
"Shut up. Your mom keeps staring at me." Haechan whispered
Mark would choke again is he was eating something, gladly he wasn't.
"It's cause you look like an emo kid who accidentally entered the wrong room." Mark whispered back
"Haechan, sweety. How is your job going?" Miss Lee suddenly asked
Haechan got abit startled.
"G-good Ma'am." He answered trying to keep his cool.
"Is Mark giving you a hard time?" She asked
"Y- No. He's doing good." Haechan said
Mark tried to hold his laugh but obviously was failing.
"Ah That's good. Sweety, it would be hard to manage your social life as well?" She asked
"Yes, sometimes it is. But I do try my best to give time to others as well." Haechan said smiling.
"Ahw that's great. You're really adorable, do you have a partner yet?" She asked
Haechan smiled awkwardly, shit he wants to go home.
"N-not yet." He stuttered
"Hmm I see. You see our Mark is still single as well. I thought he might follow some advice from you. But I see you don't have one as well." She said with a sad face
Haechan smiled awkwardly
"Maybe you guys can help each other." She said
Mark almost choked again.
Why not kill him in one go instead huh?
"I Think I need to go! I still have to arrange a meeting with Mr. Bang." He said
