"i love you too, daniel. i'll see you soon," he kissed my lips softly, wiping away the tears that escaped. suddenly, we heard his flight get called once again, "bye dani, i love you."

"bye babygirl, i love you too. we'll see each other soon. i'll call and text you whenever i can," and with that, daniel was gone and off to the other side of the world.

i wiped away one of my tears and turned around to keri and jeff who had also accompanied daniel to the airport.

"are you ready to go, dear?" keri asked, and i weakly smiled, sending her a nod.

we all walked put of the airport and got in keri's car, driving back to their house. when we got back i went inside and got on my computer to book my flight back to los angeles.

suddenly, i got a facetime call from anna.

"hey girl, what are you doing?" she asked.

"just booking my flight back to los angeles," i explained, going to the southwest airline website to book my flight.

"you should stay with me! i live in an apartment with nobody else here. i could use some company," she smiled, but i knew i had to say no.

"i can't. i have to stay with christina because i promised corbyn i'd look after her while they were on tour," i told her, and she nodded understandingly.

"it's fine. it was just an offer," she told me.

"okay, well i have to go. i'll call you later, anna," i said.

"bye elaina," she smiled, ending the call.

i went back on my laptop and booked a flight to los angeles for tomorrow morning. after booking the flight, i got up from the couch and went into the kitchen where keri and jeff were to tell them.

"oh hey elaina, what's up?" jeff asked, as i sat at one of the bar stools.

"i just booked a flight to go back to los angeles for tomorrow morning," i explained to them.

"okay dear, you can sleep in daniel's room tonight," keri smiled, and i thanked her.

we continued talking together and having a good time until it was about 8:30 at night, then i told them i was getting tired and wanted to go to bed.

i walked down the hall to daniel's bedroom and went inside. i changed into one of his hoodies and some sweats before setting an alarm for 6:30, since my flight was at 8:45. after doing that, i laid down in bed, but i couldn't sleep since daniel wasn't there. i decided to text him and see if he had landed yet.

dani boi 🐍💞: yeah, we actually got off the plane like five minutes ago and now we're in a cab. what are you doing?

i luv gay snailz 🐌: just laying in bed. i'm lonely :(

dani boi 🐍💞: aww baby, i wish i could be there. i miss you already.

i luv gay snailz 🐌: i miss you too, dani. how's finland?

dani boi 🐍💞: it's freaking beautiful. we should come here sometime after the babies are born.

i luv gay snailz 🐌: what time is it there?

dani boi 🐍💞: it's like 7:00 in the morning, but i'm not tired. the time differences really suck.

i luv gay snailz 🐌: okay, well thank you for talking to me. i think i'm going to go to sleep now. i have a flight to los angeles at 8:45 tomorrow morning.

dani boi 🐍💞: okay babe, i'll talk to you tomorrow.

i luv gay snailz 🐌: bye daniel.

after plugging my phone in on the nightstand, i fell into a deep sleep, feeling daniel's presence with me.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP WAKE THE FUCK UP*

i groaned and rolled over, turning off the alarm before sitting up and stretching in bed. i checked my phone and it was 6:30. i groaned and slipped out of bed, going over to my suitcase to find something to wear.

since it wasn't like i needed to impress anyone on the plane, i just put on some leggings and kept on the hoodie that i was wearing from last night. i slipped out of the bedroom with my suitcases and into the kitchen to get some eggos to eat.

as i walked in, i saw keri leaning against the counter drinking some coffee and watching the news.

she saw me out of the corner of her eye and smiled, "good morning elaina."

"good morning keri. what are you doing up?" i asked, going into the freezer and getting two eggos.

"to take you to the airport, of course," she replied, smiling.

"you didn't have to do that, keri. i could've gotten an uber or something," i told her, putting the eggos into the toaster and turning back around.

"why wouldn't i want to accompany my almost-daughter to the airport? i'm not going to see you again for another month at christmas," she smiled, "it'll also be nice to get out of the house and to work early for once."

"well thank you, keri. let me just eat my breakfast really quick and we can get going," i said, taking a bite out of my eggo.

after a few minutes, i had finished my eggo waffles and i was ready to get going to the airport. i threw away my paper plate, and keri and i headed out the front door to the car.

"bye keri, i'll miss you," i smiled, giving keri a hug.

"i'll miss you too, elaina. make sure you guys call me and stuff to update me on my grandbabies," she replied, returning the hug.

"we will keri, i promise," i told her.

i heard my flight get called so i told keri one last goodbye before hurrying off to my gate.

*in los angeles because i'm too fucking lazy to write anything else about the plane ride*

as i walked out of my gate, i called christina so she could pick me up from the airport.

"hello?"

"hey christina, my flight just landed. can you come pick me up?"

"hell yeah, bitch. i'll be there in twenty minutes."

"okay, i'll see you then."

she ended the call, so i walked over to the baggage claim and grabbed my suitcase. after that, i went over to some of the seats and played on my phone until christina texted me that she was pulling up to the airport.

i stood up from the seat and walked up to the front. i spotted christina's car and opened the trunk, putting the bags inside of it. then, i got in the passenger's seat.

"hey girl, how was thanksgiving with daniel's family?" she asked, putting the car in gear and pulling out.

"it was fun. daniel's aunt told me a lot of funny stories about him when he was little," i laughed, "how was your thanksgiving?"

"it was fun. saskia was really overprotective of me and the baby. she said she didn't want anything to happen to her first grandchild. it was literally bed rest the whole time, but at least corbyn was there with me to make it more exciting," she smiled.

"well that's good. keri knew that daniel was pretty overprotective of me and that as long as he was with me, i was safe. he rarely ever left my side," i told her, "one morning, i woke up at like seven o'clock so i got out of bed to make myself some eggos and chocolate. he woke up without me there and pretty much went ape shit until he saw me calmly eating food in the kitchen." i laughed, and she joined in laughing with me.

"corbyn probably would've done the same thing, but he made sure that if i went to go get something in the night or if i woke up early in the morning to wake him up as well so he knew that i was safe," she explained to me, giggling.

the whole ride to her house, it was pretty much non-stop talking and laughing about our time over thanksgiving.
