Kayden's P.O.V.
Where the fuck is he? I specifically told him to meet me here at 1am. I pace back and forth in the empty, dark parking lot, dialing and redialing this fuck-ups number. I turn my attention to a pair of bright lights shining in my face, his crappy green toyota maxima finally pulls in the lot. "Where the fuck were you?" I yell at my foolish, naive little brother. "You know if we mess this up, we are both dead." I want to go on with my rant but there is no more time for that.
"Well I am here now so chill the fuck out." Finn says defensively. Anger starts to rise in my chest, he has no right to talk to me that way after what I am doing for him. I have half a mind to leave this ungrateful little shit here to deal with his own problems like a big boy. The warning glare I give, has him standing down in a matter of seconds.
We stand around in the creepy lot, waiting for this asshole. There is nobody here, it's completely deserted, the only cars here are mine and Finn's. I impatiently check the time on my phone, it's been 33 minutes, if he doesn't come within the next 15 then I am leaving. A few more torturous minutes go buy and three men come walking out of the darkness, from wherever the hell they came from. I take a deep breath, let's just get this over with. I stand next to Finn defensively as Christian and his followers approach us.
"Look at my two favorite cousins, sticking together." The unsettling grin and sarcasm in his voice begins to ware my patience.
"Knock off the bullshit Christian, we came here to do one thing and one thing only." I trail off. They all look quite surprised at my sudden outburst.
"You better watch what you say here, because last time I checked, we are the ones with the guns." I show no reaction to his little threat, but instead crack a smile. Him and his little puppies don't scare me in the slightest bit.
Without another glance at these bastards, I walk over to the trunk of my car and pull out the brown weighted pillow case. I make my way back over to Christian and drop it in front of his feet, "Now you've got it, I think we're done here." I turn my back to leave the scene, not caring if my idiotic brother is following me.
I quickly duck, covering my head, when I hear a shot ring out in the dead of night. I spin around, almost giving myself a whiplash. My eyes immediately search for Finn, as my heart beats rapidly. He is still standing in his original position, completely unharmed. What the fuck just happened? "We're done, when I say we're done." My eyes switch over to Christians menacing voice.
What more does he want? We had a deal, I held up my part, what is the problem? I look at him confused. "I want to make a little...addition, to our bargain that we maid." Anger begins to boil inside me, he better chose his next words carefully. "I seem to remember a certain...brunette that you have been spending some time with." My breathing is exaggerated as try to control myself from beating the shit out of this scumbag.
"In your fucking dreams." I conclude, with venom clear in my voice.
He throws his head back, cackling like a psychopath, "Let me put it this way cuz...you give me her..." I hear his flimsy handgun being cocked, but when he raises it to Finn's head a shiver runs up my spine. "Or he dies." His words have me shaking with fear, desperation. anger, and frustration. My palms become sweaty and I am frozen completely. I stare at the unpaved dirt road, my head racing with a billion thoughts all at once.
"Kayden!!" I snap my head up to the deafening shout that Flinn just blasted in my ear. "Do something!"
"I'm thinking god dammit!!" I scream back at Finn. There is no way I am agreeing to this fucked up deal. "Christian, you know she is not an option, so choose a different one." I glare at him. His devious grin still plays on his face as he paces up and down the small parking lot still pointing the gun towards my brother. I silently beg that he will take my proposal.
I jump when two loud sirens erupt out of nowhere, followed by flashing red and blue lights. Oh shit..."The cops!" Flinn says as he sprints towards his car. The two men guarding Christian split in the blink of an eye, leaving me and Christian. My instinct is to run, but I know that will only make things worse. Three officers bolt after the foolish convicts, while one shoves Flinn up against his car.
Finn begins shouting and cursing at the authority, "Finn enough!" I yell back at him. He lets out another shout of frustration until he finally gives in.
Suddenly I feel a pair of hands roughly pull my arms behind me. The cold metal of the cuffs latch around my wrists and I wince in pain due to the extreme tightness. "Stop resisting!" I hear one of the cops yell, I look up and watch as Christian is being held down by one of them while the other begins to cuff him. The brown bag that was in his hands is now snatched up as evidence by one of these assholes. He continues to thrash around violently until they manage to secure his wrists.
I keep my mouth shut as the officer guides me to the back of the police car where I join my brother....

Riley's P.O.V.
I lay in my bed silently staring at the ceiling. I have so many things that I need to get done today, but that is the least of my worries right now. Kayden hasn't texted or called at all yet, and I know it's only 9:30 in the morning, but he would have called right now. I am stuck on what to do, I don't want to bomb his phone with calls and texts, he's going to think I am some obsessive freak.
Maybe I should just walk over to his house and see if he wants to play, like we used to do when we were younger. Play? Are you joking, what are you five Riley? My subconscious clearly is not on my side today. I click my phone on to check for any messages from him, but of course there is nothing. I sigh in frustration and decide to just forget about it, if he wants to see me, he'll call, hopefully...
"Mornin' guys" I greet my family in the living room as they all sit down on the couch watching some T.V. and enjoying their breakfast.
"Morning honey." My dad smiles and goes back to shoving another forkful of chocolate chip pancakes into his mouth.
"There is a stack of pancakes on a plate for you if you want any." My mother points to the syrupy evidence that rests on the counter top.
"Okay, thanks mom." I smile. I wanted to lay on the couch for a few moments before having to get up and get my breakfast, but my growling stomach decides against it. I hop up off the couch, taking my fluffy blankie with me, and grab the pancakes and a glass of milk. The heavenly taste of pancakes, mixed with chocolate, mixed with vanilla, covers my tastebuds. "Mmmm..." Fork after fork I shove into my mouth until I am down to the last pancake.
"So, you like it?" my brother teases. I roll my sleepy eyes, giving him my best morning attitude that I can.
"I don't think I can handle this last one..." I say before I officially go into a food coma.
"Don't worry sis." Jace says before taking the pancake off my plate with his bare hands. "I gotcha'" I look away before he shoves the entire thing into his mouth.
"Ugh...pig." I give him a disgusted look as he continues to obnoxiously chew his food.
"Says the girl who just inhaled three of these!" he retorts, allowing us to see the chewed up pieces that roll around in his mouth while he speaks. At least I know how to chew with my mouth closed.
"So sweetie, are you going to hang out with Kayden again today? You two have been spending an awful lot of time together." She gives me a look of suspicion, one that reads 'tell me everything!'. Just play it cool, she's pretty gullible so most likely she'll believe me.
"We always spend time together, he's my best friend." I say matter-of-factly. She shrugs her shoulders, I assume believing my temporary lie. Eventually I am going to tell her everything that has happened between Kayden and I. Well maybe not everything...but I'll let her know that we are way more than 'just friends' now. "But I don't think we are doing anything today, Kayden hasn't returned any of my texts or calls at all yet." I explain.
Jace snaps his head over to me, "Yeah neither has Finn..." he informs me. I play it off like I am not worried out of my mind right now. "Hey mom has auntie talked to you since you guys went out last night?" he questions.
"Well, come to think of it, no she hasn't. We all said goodnight to each other around 3:30ish and then we went inside. But I haven't heard anything from her all morning, I just assumed she was sleeping it all off still." My mom grabs her cell phone off the coffee table in front of her and dials what I am assuming is auntie's number. "Ava! Is everything okay?" she asks, clearly worried.
I hear auntie's voice on the other line but I cannot make out what she is saying. But my mother's wide eyes and open mouth tell me that it is not going to be good. She nods her head as if my auntie is standing right in front of her having this conversation. "Absolutely, we're on our way." My mother quickly hangs up the phone, "Kayden and Finn got arrested." she informs us, hurriedly grabbing her keys off the table and rushing towards the door.
Jace, my dad, and I are hot on her heals as we follow her to the car. What the hell? How did this happen? I can't imagine what they're going through right now, but what idiots! How could they be so careless and stupid?! I feel frustrated and worried at the same exact time, I wanna slap him but kiss him. Then I realise, that I am the only person that still has her pajamas on. I don't care! I will go in there, slippers and all!
"Don't worry honey, everything will be alright." My dad tries to comfort me during the drive. I sure hope he is right...
A/N: Ugh sometimes I just want to slap these guys in the face, did they honestly believe that they wouldn't get in caught with this 'little deal' of theirs? Thank you all for your tremendous amount of support, I am so grateful. I love you guys! xoxo- Jade:)
