Kevin

“Oh my God Kevin!”

“What?” I laughed.

“What do you mean what?” She shoved me. “Look at my leg!”

Laying in bed, I laid my head on the side of her thigh as she laid there.

“No one is going to see it babe.” I kissed the bite mark I left.

“I can't stand you.” She pushed my head again.

“Ya gon stop pushing my head and comb my hair for me.”

“No.” She shifted and got up.

“Why not?”

“Because I don't want too.” She looked back at me.

Sitting up, I watched as she got our son out of the crib.

“Mommy’s baby getting so big.” She kissed him.

“I got something that's getting big too.”

Getting her attention, she glared at me.

“Just damn nasty. Such a damn shame.” She shook her head.

“What's a damn shame is that ass is getting fat and you don’t want your husband to appreciate it.”

“Really Kevin?” She laughed.

“Yes.” I stared at her.

“Come on Bash, let's go see what your grandmas are doing because clearly daddy is losing it.”

“Leave him with them when you're finished breastfeeding.”

“Get a life Kevin.”

“I'm tryna get in you but you blocking.”

Waving me off, she left the room. Laying back down, I just stared at the ceiling. Closing my eyes, I reopened them sensing a presence near me.

“Good morning Kenya.”

“Morning.” She whispered.

Chuckling, I just shook my head.

“Climb on up.”

Climbing onto the bed then on to me, I hugged her.

“Wassup princess.”

“Can't find daddy.” She pouted.

“You want to go back to sleep?”

“No.”

“Where’s mommy?”

“Kitchen.”

“You don't want her?”

“No. I want my daddy.”

Sighing, I knew I wasn’t gonna get any now more than before.

“Aight princess, let's go look for him.”

Nodding, she sat up just looking around the room while I threw on a tee.

Climbing off the bed, we walked out the room and went down stairs. Soon as we hit the family room, I saw my momma and Nita sitting there as she fed Bash.

“Kevin please!”

“What?”

“Hide those bird legs.”

Looking down at my legs, I sucked my teeth and fanned her off.

“Y'all seen Yung?”

“No, why?”

“Little miss right here wants her daddy.”

“Come relax with grandma princess.”

“No thank you.” She shook her head.

“Well excuse me.” My mother said shocked. “Keira come get your child!” She then yelled.

Walking into the kitchen, Kei turned around.

“What happened?” She lifted her.

“She wants her daddy.”

“Where is he?”

“How am I supposed to know. That's your man ain't he?”

“Shut up Kevin.” She pushed me.

“Come babe sit here till here till he gets back.” She sat her on the counter.”

Everybody was basically here for Thanksgiving, except for smoke and his family.

Since the whole court situation and Yung putting him in his place, we ain't really heard much from them.

“Hey Ms. Sheila?” I saw her walk by.

“Yes love?”

“You seen Aug?”

“Check downstairs in the basement.”

“Ok thanks.”

Opening the door, I made my way downstairs, sure enough he was down there.

“So this where you snuck off too?”

Lifting his head, he smirked and nodded.

“Aye man wassup?”

“You tell me. Why you down here hiding out?”

Pulling up a seat across from him, Aug gave me his attention.

“Man I'm tryna get my vows right.”

“Oh word?”

“Yea. Plus Trav suppose ta meet me hea ta talk bout some things.”

“Oh aight. Well I'll leave you too it then.”

“Nah man, you can chill.”

“Thanks because all them females up there are driving me crazy.”

Laughing, he looked back down at his notepad, as did I.

“Yea they something else.” He went back to writing.

“How's it going though?”

“Shitty.” He laughed making me laugh.

“What you mean shitty?”

“Man Ion know why writing this shit down is so hard for me to do. I bet she already got hers done.”

“Knowing Keira, probably since when you proposed.” I laughed.

“Yet this shit is giving me a hard fucking time.” He sighed.

“Man you don't even gotta write that bro. You know what's in ya heart so just say that on the day because believe me, whatever you write now, is gonna change when you see her on the day.”

“You think so?”

“Bruh, the vows I wrote for Anita, I rewrote it, put it in an envelope and stuck them I'm her favorite flowers for our anniversary this year man.”

“Really?”

“Yup. What I said on the day was from my heart.”

“Aight woe. I'll take ya advice.”

“Cool.”

We sat there in this awkward silence for a moment.

“You straight?” He looked over at me.

“Yea man. I uh, I actually wanted to thank you though.”

“For what?”

“Loving my sister the way you do.”

“Oh. Man that ain't nothing. She makes it easy to do that.”

“I know but like I've told you before, this is the happiest I've ever seen her. And having to be her big brother plus kinda fill my pops shoes at the same time, it be crazy.”

“I got ya.” He nodded.

“Oh did you ever get what you was looking for?”

“Yea man. Ya moms gave me a copy of it. Keira and y'all pops were really close huh?”

“Close is joke. Like I always told momma, if she had a girl first, I probably wouldn't be here.” I shook my head.

“Nah man.” He laughed.

“Woe, I'm for real. Keira was the apple of our pops eye and that's why she got away with a lot of shit back then.”

“And what about you?”

“Me? I was a momma's boy, I'm not even gonna front.”

“Was? Nigga you still is?” He laughed.

“So what? She my moms anyway.” I shrugged and laughed. “They both got what they wanted basically and we were all happy.”

“When Keira finally began ta open up and talk bout y'all pops, man the way her eyes lit up.” He shook his head. “Just like how our princess be when she see me.”

“Yup.” I nodded.

“For the ceremony.” He began.

Nodding my head in approval, I smiled at the idea he gave me.

“That’ll be dope. I know she gonna appreciate that.”

“Yea.”

“You doing a lot huh?”

“Man this wedding bout ta be on a whole different level.”

“Well I'm ready to see this.”

As we talked some more, Trav came down. Realizing what they were about, I busted out laughing.

“Man, if this how you gon be, I suggest ya take ya ass back upstairs.” Travis pointed at the door.

“My bad man. I'm sorry.” I choked on my laugh.

“Yeen bout ta come here and distract my lah bro like this.”

“I got you. I'm sorry.” I choked on my laughter some more.

As they got back into it, I just went back upstairs. I couldn't contain myself any longer so I left.

“Babe?” I heard Nita’s voice.

“Yea?”

“You ready?”

“Shit I been ready.” I smirked.

Taking her hand, we snuck away and headed back upstairs. Soon as I closed the door, I pinned her against it and we got into it.

Keira

“Princess?”

“Yes momma?” She looked back at me.

As she sat on the floor playing with Callie, I was laying on the couch. While I'm the kitchen, I began feeling tired and a sudden light headed feeling came over me.

“Come do mommy a favor.”

“Ok.” She got up and came over to me.

“Go in the kitchen and ask cousin Chay if you could get some chicken. Don't say it's for mommy.”

“Ok.” She whispered.

As she ran off to the kitchen, I sat up and exhaled. I honestly thought that by now, I would be back to my old self medically but I guess not.

“Princess?” I heard August called.

“Shit.” I mumbled.

“Bad word TeeTee.” Callie said.

“Sorry baby girl.”

As she went back to playing, I moved to the other side of the family room to listening.

“Whea ya going with that?”

“By Callie.” Kenya answered making me smile.

“Oh ok. Whea’s ya momma?”

“In thea.”

“Now ya know ya momma allergic ta chicken.”

“Stop fucking blocking August.” I mumbled.

“TeeTee.”

“Sorry again love.”

“Gotta make sure she take her medicine first.”

“She did.” YaYa said in a high pitch.

“Aight well go head and make sure ya share with ya cousin.”

Quickly going back to the other couch, I laid there.

“Hey babe how you feeling?” He came up and kissed me on my forehead.

“I'm ok.”

Putting my attention on Kenya, she just stood there.

“Princess sit and eat.” August instructed.

Sitting next to Callie, she kept looking at me.

“Ouuu chicken.” She smiled. “May I have one?” Callie asked.

Knowing very well they were for me, she didn't know what to say. My poor baby was so confused.

“Kenya?” August called.

“Huh?”

“What you say?”

Looking at me for approval, I just nodded giving her the ok. Once she shared with Callie, I gave her a small smile.

Just as he was about to get comfortable, the doorbell rang.

“I'll get it.” He got back up.

Once he was out of sight YaYa came over to me.

“Thank you princess.” I kissed her cheek.

It was surprising that August was taking so long by the front door. Even though I was getting to eat, I found it strange nonetheless.

“Princess you and Callie finish it off.”

“Yes momma.”

“This our little secret ok.”

Locking pinky fingers, we kissed our thumbs before I got up. As I made my way to the front door, I heard arguing.

“Nah nigga, yeen welcome hea!” I heard August say.

“Ion care tha fuck you saying. This ma momma house and I'm welcomed.”

“That's whea ya ass is wrong. This Travis house.”

“Babe?”

“G’on back and lay down ma.” He instructed.

From the crease, I could see Jamal standing there.

“August!” I pulled on his arm.

“Yea?” He gave me his attention.

“Babe just get Trav or your mother.”

Staring at me, contemplating on what he should do, I smiled softly, making him relax and smile back.

“Aight.” He nodded.

Turning back to Jamal, he just closed the door in his face.

“Trav, Momma!” He yelled.

“What!” They both yelled back.

“Somebody at tha do’!”

“Really baby?” I cut my eyes at him.

“Who is it?” His mother asked.

“Damn sure ain't no Jehovah Witness.”

Same time he said that Ms. Sheila went and reopened the door.

“So why yeen answer it?” Travis asked.

“Jamal!”

“Oh!” Travis then said.

Ignoring them, August came over to me.

“Come lay down with me.” He whispered in my ear.

“No slip ups this time.” I smiled.

We were trying to hold out till our wedding night, but so far, we've had three slip ups within the past couple months.

“Can't promise ya that.” He smirked. “Noonie!”

“Yea unc?” She came running into the room.

“I’a give ya ten if ya watch YaYa while me and TeeTee go lay down.”

“Make it twenty.”

“Fine but payment after.”

“Cool.”

While he negotiated, Jamal came walking into the house. Sucking his teeth, August took my hand and headed to our room upstairs.

“I can't believe his ass showed up hea?” August mumbled as he took off his tee.

“Babe?”

“After all that shit he done caused ta this family, he got some mufucking nerve showing up hea.”

“Babe!”

“Talking bout this his momma house, he fucking welcome in hea.”

“AUGUST!”

“Huh?” He turned to me. “Oh.” His eyes opened.

“You wanted me to lay with you right?” I shifted the covers, exposing my bare leg.

“Thought ya said no slip ups.”

“I know, but I want it and it’ll calm you down.”

“So what? Ya think some pussy gon calm a nigga?”

“Some pussy wouldn't but my pussy will.” I smirked.

Removing my top, I used my free arm to cover my breasts as he stood there and smiled.

“Shit.” He whispered as he came over to me.

Pulling back the covers, he pulled me to him by my ankles, making me squeal out.

“Now ya know ya can't be too loud fa daddy.” He smirked.

“I know.” I nodded.

“Good girl.” He gently caressed my cheek before kissing me. “Daddy bout ta do that body right.” He kissed me, sucking and tugging on my bottom lip before letting up.

“Slow and deep.” I whispered as his hand slipped between my legs.

“Slow. And deep.” He said inserting two fingers in me.

“Uhh.” I arched my back in pleasure.

Anita

“Y'all let's go out and do something.” Keira spoke. “It's been awhile since we did anything together.”

We hadn't too long finished eating and were chilling on the back deck. Whole time at the table Aug was quiet and you could just feel the tension in the room.

“I don’t mind.” I looked at Kevin.

“I'm down. Yung what about you?”

“Yea man. I'm down.”

“I know a spot that’ll be LIT tanight.” Travis spoke.

“Cool. Well how bout we be ready for what? Eleven?” I looked at everyone.

“Yea that's good time.” They all agreed.

The guys got up and walked inside leaving us girls for a minute.

“Kei?”

“Mmm?”

“I know Aug is pissed but are you ok?”

“Yea. I'm not worried bout Jamal. I've been washed my hands of him.”

“Y'all know Dricka ain't took him back since that right?” Tima added.

“Really?”

“Mhmm.” She nodded.

“What you know and ain't told us?” Chandra glared at her.

“Y'all ain't heard this from me, but Dricka filed for legal separation like three days after all that mess came out.”

“What?” I said surprised.

I honestly didn't think it would reach to that.

“Yes girl. I ran into her a couple weeks after and she told me. She said she was done with Smoke and his shit.

“So that's why he came alone.”

“Yup. She actually moved back in with her parents. She said she couldn't stay in the house.”

We looked over at Keira who clearly was unbothered.

“So he's there alone?” I asked.

“Well when he doesn't have the children, yea.”

“Well that's what he gets for being so low.” Chandra shrugged. “When Mel was alive, he could have never been like that towards Yung.”

“I don't see why he is though. So Aug have a different father, but doesn't their sister as well?”

“Yea but Aug always was the main attention because of his medical problems.”

“Can we talk about something else?” Keira butted in. “At this point, neither me nor August gives two fucks about him and his life now.”

“That's right baybeh.”

Looking by the doorway, Aug came out with a bowl in his hand.

“Nigga you eating again?” Tima shook her head.

“It's ice cream and I brought it for ma girl.” He sat next to Keira.

“Mhmm.” Keira smiled.

“Let me go find something to wear.” Tima got up with Chandra not too far behind.”

Looking over at them, I just smiled at how Aug was feeding Keira. They looked so much in love, I couldn't wait for their wedding.

“Someone needs to be put to bed ma.”

Seeing our son, I smiled harder. Sebastian brought this different kind of joy to my life I never thought existed.

“Eleven guys.” I told them before going in.

oOo

At the club Travis mentioned, shit was really lit. We had our own area with hookah and the music playing was a great mix.

“Aye!!! Get it Nita.”

I was making the most of the night and so was Kevin. Looking over by the DJ area, he was too lit and all I could do was smile.

“Aye man, shout out to my sexy ass wife over thea with my sister and soon to be bro in law and our squad.”

Putting my attention on Kei and Aug, they sat booed up in on the couch. Aug was deep in her ear just making her blush.

Continuing dancing, Kevin came back over to me and we did our thing.

“Nita, bathroom.” Tima called.

Nodding,us females left and made our way to the bathroom.

“Kei, will you and Aug ever get up and dance.”

“Hey, I can't help it if my man likes whispering in my ear, making me smile.” She laughed.

"Mhmm. That and the fact that he's loving your look." Chandra nudged her.

Hearing one of the toilets flush, we looked up and saw Dricka came out.

“Hey.” We all smiled.

“Oh hi.” She smiled back. “Happy Thanksgiving.”

“Same girl. We missed you at the house today.” Tima smiled.

“I figured it would have been best not too.”

“You knew he was going to show up huh?” Keira asked.

“In hopes of Aug beating his ass yes.” She nodded.

“Girl you know Keira wasn't about to let her man catch a case before their wedding.”

“Oh right. Congrats again. You three are the lucky ones.” She gave a nervous laugh.

“Why you say that?”

“Y'all got the brothers who were about something.”

“Hmm.” Keira hummed.

“Anyway.” She stepped and washed her hands. “I gotta get back to my sisters and them. Guess I'll see y'all around.”

“Ok sis.” Chandra smiled before she left.

“I feel so bad for her.” Tima shook her head.

“Girl you're so fake.” I laughed along with Chandra.

“What?”

“Bout 'we missed you at the house today.' You know damn well ain't nobody missed her.”

“Damn, I couldn't be that cold.” She laughed.

Finishing up, we walked back out to meet the guys.

“What took y'all so long?” Kevin wrapped his arms around me.

“We ran into Dricka in the bathroom.” Tima spoke.

“Hmm.” Aug hummed.

“You two are the same.” I laughed. “Kei did the same thing.”

“That's ma baybeh.” He kissed her cheek.

Laughing, we all got back into enjoying the rest of our night.
