Everything I see
Everything I hear
Everything I touch
Redacted, erased in black
It's best to keep your distance
Away from me
For I'll steal your light
Making you one with the night
That is who I am
Dark and hueless
Reflection; none of my own
Wash me in bleach
Then fill me in with colours
At least then, I would matter
And be noticed in this world
I'm tired of being the dark pigmentation that is black
It's my turn to shine back
For now, I am a colour other than black
Worthy enough to finally have a reflection
