You looked around yourself, taking in the golden colored hallway, sans glances at you and you notice him looking a bit tired, but when he sees that you were looking at him, he faces forwards and walks into the hallway a slight blue tint adorning his skull.
You follow him and when you see the entire space you can't help but be in awe with everything. Despite it being night, light seems to flow out of the golden stained glass windows bearing the monsters' crest
You stopped to take it in even more and don't realize sans had made his way to the other side until you hear his voice with slight amusement pierce the silent air
"Are you just gonna stand there?" you snap out of your awe, face sans, and smile sheepishly at him, blushing just slightly out of your embarrassment
"Uh, n-no?" oh gosh what is this skeleton doing to you?!
Sans chuckled, snapped his fingers, his other hand stuffed in his coat pocket, and the golden hallway's light and color leaked out and left an outline of everything in black and white, including yourself, you looked around kinda scared until you saw a flash of color right underneath your crystal necklace
You looked down and your eyes met with a bright (F/c) heart with indigo swirls stirring slowly across it
It was your soul
You snapped your attention back up to sans and asked "What do I do?"
Sans put his other hand in the other pocket "Attack me"
You widened your eyes and started to argue "That's not gonna happen, i'm not just gonna attack someone i know that they've never done anything wrong" Sans sighed and brought out one of his hands from the confines of his pocket and summoned some bones then directed them to you.
You squeaked in surprise and dodged the attack, you about dodged all of them but one which you couldn't sense anyway to move out of the way of its path, so you tried to summon an owl claw, out of pure habit, magick glowed in your crystal and your soul pulsed a bit brighter and you found that, unlike the other times, the magick could, and would obey your requests
Because an owl claw formed fully, no shakiness to be found, and knocked the bone out of trajectory
The owl claw dissipated once it collided with the bone and you felt a strange sense of strength, you didn't feel exhausted as you had been in Dreamland, so you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding and looked at sans a bit accusingly "Why did you do that?"
Sans shrugged and he replied "Because you didn't attack first"
You looked at sans incredulously and huffed "And it still isn't gonna happen"
Sans chuckled "You know you won't be able to hit me right? this is only a practice"
You bit your lip and sighed, knowing he was right, but it still went against the morals you had lived by for most of your life. And you didn't know that when you accepted sans' offer to help you would have to FIGHT him. Sans, having picked up on your hesitation, said "How 'bout, we just stick to me throwing attacks and you blocking them"
You nodded, a thankful smile adorned your face and sans chuckled a bit and more bones shot out of thin air, spinning, and zoomed towards you
Again, you dodged all of them but found more were coming and you didn't have enough time to dodge them all so you favored tossing owl claws to intercept a select few and dodge the rest, jumping or rolling into the clear spots where the bones that were intercepted would have gone, once the attack finished you rolled onto your feet, your tail swishing back and forth behind you, you were breathing a bit heavy but you were not too tired that you couldn't continue
Sans looked slightly more exhausted and waited a few moments before he raised his hand again, though this time flickers of blue magick twirled out of his fingertips and, your soul turned to a dark blue color and you felt yourself get lifted up, this was a different experience than when he lifted you up to wash the dishes
Instead, he flicked his wrist upwards and you followed, having only enough time to brace your self against what you thought was the ceiling, a jarring feeling crawled through your legs but you weren't hurt in really any way
Then, as quick as it came, the blue color flickered and disappeared, leaving you free falling
You sucked in a breath and unfurled your wings, for the first time in forever, the air caught in your wings and you soared over sans, who followed you with his head an expression of awe on his skull
You, however, were trying to maneuver your wings just right, so you wouldn't plummet or crash
You tipped your right wing to make a turn and land, or more of rolling and stopping on your knee, you were breathing kind of fast and it was an instinct that drove you to the side to avoid another arsenal of bones
You, once again, rolled to your feet just in time to see sans summon a few dragon-like skulls, white circle irises rested in their otherwise black sockets, sharp teeth attached to their jaws, the bottom part seemingly floating just below the top
Your eyes widen and your heartbeat quickened, your crystal glowed along with your emotions and a thick trail of (F/c) and indigo shot out from it, then split into five threads, the threads circled around you then dove to your feet, forming five little black and white cats, as the color was still drained, their right eyes emitting pure indigo flames
They turned to sans' dragon skulls and walked forward forming a kind of an upside down 'V' the leader turned its head to you and flicked its tail as if waiting to get the 'go'
You looked to sans and found him looking at the cats with faint amusement, as his dragon skulls were almost 10x the size of the cats, and the leader only came to your knees
You bit your tongue, never have experienced having these cats, but decided to give it a shot, not exactly sure what they did, but, you hesitated
Sans spoke up "Well? Aren't you gonna send them?" you opened your mouth but closed it again, not sure what to say
Sans waited, then the dragon skulls dropped their maws and a ball of energy whirred inside them. You sucked in a breath and the leader of the black and white cats turned away from you and darted forwards, the others following their tails were up and electric blue sparks lit the tips and they were getting shorter
Right at the last second when the dragon skulls released the energy that had collected in their mouths. the cats split their formation and jumped in front of the beams, one for each dragon skull. five pops resounded and shimmering gray mist rose and blocked sans and the dragon skulls from your view
Then when the mist cleared, the skulls were gone and sans stood there completely baffled
Your breathing quickened even more and you felt slightly dizzy, so you rested your hand on one of the pillars at the outline of the hallway, the dizziness only increased and your vision swam before you, you leaned more to the pillar and heard a fuzzed and concerned voice ring
"(Y/n)!?" Sans was right beside you in a second and he touched your shoulder, your heart beat faster and color returned to the world, sweat was trickling down your forehead but you managed to say
"I-I'm fine sans, like i said, i haven't really practiced my magick much" you took a few deep breaths and closed your eyes, to try to get rid of the dizziness and nauseous feeling welling in your stomach "P-Plus, I've never had that kind of attack b-before, s-so that's new heh"
You knew sans was still worried, so you took a deep breath, opened your eyes and stood as straight as you could, still having a hand on the pillar, you were still a bit dizzy but it was manageable. Sans took your hand that had a cast on its arm and looked at you seriously, his usual lack-back, silly manner gone.
"(Y/n), if you are drained, we don't have to continue"
A funny smile adorned your features. when you 'practiced' with your father he would never offer you a break, in fact, he would wait until you passed out from exhaustion most times before he would stop. So it was more or less a habit that spoke for you
"No, I'm fine, if I'm gonna get stronger then I'll have to push my limits" sans shook his skull sighing "well, fine, but I need a break at least"
You nodded and sans sat down his spine against the pillar, he tilted his head back and closed his eye sockets. You sighed again and leaned heavily against the pillar
After a few minutes sans said, his sockets still closed "could you just sit down or does that count"
You chuckled tiredly "well since you're doing it, yes" sans chuckled and all at once, a faint blue aura surrounded your form and you were forced to sit beside him
You let out an 'oof' and rolled your eyes as the blue color faded from your body.
You folded your arms and looked away slightly blushing, but a small smile was tugging your lips silently thankful sans did that
After a little while, sans stood up again and offered a hand to you "Let's see what we can do with those exploding cats"
You smiled fully and took sans' hand allowing him to help you up.
When you were positioned at your end of the golden hallway sans gestured to the center "Alright, first try to summon them again" you nodded and faced forwards trying to remember how they appeared the first time
Squinting your eyes, you tried to flick your wrist to the side snapping your fingers, but nothing happened, then you remembered that they appeared because sans summoned those skull basters and you didn't have anything to match them
Turning your head to sans you said "Sans, summon those skull blasters" for a while sans was confused
Then realization dawned on his skull "You mean the Gaster Blasters?" you raised an eyebrow, slightly amused that sans had an attack named after his own father, but nodded
Sans raised his hand and snapped. A large 'Gaster Blaster' appeared and faced you, a gleam of remorse was evident in its white circle irises but it looked so fearsome that you couldn't help but gulp, and again, a trail of (f/c) and indigo shot from your crystal, though it was noticeably thinner than the last one and only formed into one cat
The Gaster Blaster looked at the cat, that was shorter than your knees, and opened its maw.
A wad of energy collected in the center. Not sure what else to do you thrust your arm out and was surprised that the cat darted forward, its tail going up in electric blue sparks and exploded into an (F/c) mist blocking the Gaster Blaster from view
When the mist cleared the Gaster Blaster was still there but its ball of energy was gone, instead, the cat ran back glowing brightly then turned back into a thread of indigo and returned to your crystal, your vision turned indigo and you stumbled from an overwhelming surge of power that suddenly flowed through you.
Pure magick started to flow out of your right eye making it feel white hot and shivers racked your back, you didn't notice sans was holding you upright until you heard his muffled voice try to ask if you were alright
When your vision and hearing finally cleared you saw sans looking at you with the most worried expression you've ever seen since your father had turned
A headache started to appear in the back of your head but you ignored it, for the time being, you felt energized, you felt all of your previous tiredness fade away
You took a deep breath, stood straighter, and snapped your fingers and was amazed that 5 cats, just like before, appeared out of nowhere. Sans looked at the cats as well, then his grin rose
He turned to you and held your hand "(Y/n), you just might just be in more control of your powers than you think"
You smiled and faced the cats again, the voice of your father rang in your ears but you knew, that it was wrong
"You Will Never Be Able To Control Your Magick (Y/n), Just Admit That To Yourself And Know You Will Always Fail. No Matter What You Do"
You brushed off the voice that had always bashed you about your powers. It felt good to finally know that you were more in control than before, and you got another trick up your sleeve so it's a win-win for you

After you returned to the skele-bros. house you bid sans good night, despite it being one in the morning, and laid in your bed, when you realized your add-ons were still out
You had grown so used to them while you practiced with sans that you forgot to reapply your shield, so you drew several threads of (f/c) then gently weaved them into your cover
With the cover on, you felt, detached, you didn't really like it, but you had to keep it on. At least until you told everyone else, how you were going to do that you don't know, but you'll figure it out....someday
But that someday was not today so with that in mind you slowly closed your eyes feeling accomplished, thinking about you weren't such a danger anymore
