you opened your eyes and found yourself on the favored green couch with the red blanket wrapped tightly around you, you sat up and listened to the sounds of resting people, you found that your cat ears were showing and heard your muskets still asleep, smiling you reapplied your magick shield, guess you're gonna have to be more careful, after finishing applying the magickal cover you got up from the green couch and stretched your limbs earning several pops and creaks from your shoulders as you rolled them back and forth, walking to the kitchen you decided to make breakfast, cause why not? the skele-bros. let you stay over-night, plus, in your opinion, breakfast was the most important meal of the day,
opening the fridge you saw a bunch of spaghetti containers, and un-opened ketchup bottles, that's...a little odd, but ok, you shifted through the contents until you came across some bacon packets, whoa, how lucky, you pulled the packet out and closed the refrigerator door, walking to the cabinets you realized that they were built for a much taller person,
that didn't deterred you though, throwing the packet of bacon on the counter you took a deep breath and started to climb to the counter-top, when you finally pulled yourself up you were panting, and looked down...you literally climbed a foot above your normal height...geeze you need to exercise more,
anyway you grabbed the bacon packet you had thrown up to the counter, took a pan, placed it on the stove top, and placed the bacon strips onto it, turning on the gas stove top you let the bacon sizzle, while trying to find other things for breakfast, you came across a half-used add-water pancake batter bag, finding a mixing bowl you tried to find the sink, when you did however you found it was taller then the counter-tops were, your arm holding the bowl went slack and you looked up at the sink with a 'are freaking kidding me?' look, and sighed heavily, resigning to your task,
the things you do for breakfast, however, before you went to take the long journey, you turned to the bacon and flipped the strips over using a fork you found while looking for other breakfast items, you breathe out sharply and nodded turning to the taller-then-the-counter sink, just then a voice from behind you asked "human? what are you doing?" you turned to look at the speaker so fast that you lost your balance and started to fall off the counter flailing your arms around you, a gasp burst out of your lips, you were about to hit the floor when two red gloved hands caught you "human! please be more careful!" you looked up at papyrus and sighed in relief,
"t-thanks papyrus, that was a close one" you smiled and papyrus set you down on the ground, when you were on your own two feet papyrus looked at the pan on the stove top "human, what are you cooking?" you smiled up at the skeleton, "i'm making pancakes and bacon" you bit your lip and started to climb the cabinet "speaking of, the bacon should be ready now" you weren't even halfway up when papyrus picked you up and set on the counter, he smiled "well, i, the great papyrus, shall help any way i can!" you giggled, noticing he spoke in a softer voice then normal, guess that was because of your siblings sleeping, how sweet, you started to look for a plate, "could you, uh, get a plate for me please?"
papyrus nodded vigorously "of course older human!!" he pulled open a cabinet next to you and gave you a dark blue glass plate "thanks pap, could you fill this with water as well?" you held up the bowl, pap smiled and took it, reaching the sink with ease...well, uh, yeah you kind of envy that, you've never been really tall, heck, you were five feet high for heavens sake! when papyrus gave you the bowl filled with water you added a couple of cups of the instant batter mix into it while simultaneously putting the bacon on the plate,
turning off the stove top for later use as you mixed the batter with a spoon that papyrus supplied you with, you set a small timer in your head for one minute, and you asked papyrus to wash the pan, which he gladly did, when he gave you back the pan you poured the batter in small circles and turned on the stove top, you pulled out another plate and asked paps for a spatula and he gave you one, you flipped the pancakes, revealing a golden brown side, 'perfect' you thought, smiling, paps stared as you worked slowly adding perfectly golden brown pancakes to the plate,
after you made the last pancake you turned off the stove and heard three distinct thuds, your smile widened and you hopped off the counter allowing paps to get the plates, he handed one to you and you walked to the dining room, setting the plates down on the table top, you heard three pairs of footfalls come down the stairs and skid into the room, agrian, Elijah, and rose stood in the door way and raced to sit down,
paps had gotten plates and utensils, and proceeded to give the muskets the cutlery, when he finished he sat down at the head of the table, you and the muskets sat where you had sat last night, then proceeded to fill your plates and eat, you noticed that one person was still not here "hey, pap? where's sans?" papyrus sighed, then said in his normal voice "HE DOESN'T GET UP UNTIL NOON, IN FACT! HE CAN SLEEP THROUGH ANYTHING IF HE WANTS TO!"
the loud voice of pap sent the muskets shaking themselves awake, heh, guess this will take some time getting used to, but you pondered, not until noon? huh, well, alright then, you continued to eat when lo and behold came in sans he still looked tired but awake non-of-the-less, you noticed he wasn't wearing his blue hoodie, instead he was wearing a white t-shirt, and his normal black basketball shorts with a white stripe down the sides, "BROTHER! YOU HAVE FINALLY COME DOWN FROM YOUR ROOM TO HAVE BREAKFAST?"
sans grinned and nodded "yep, i wouldn't wasn't to start the day on a-" sans was cut off by pap "SANS DON'T YOU DARE!!" sans' smile grew a bit, "empty stomach" papyrus screamed along with agrian, rose was letting loose airy giggles, and you were pretty close to laughing "oh, please, we've heard that a million times" Elijah said rolling his eyes "along with the other thousand and a half skeleton puns" you couldn't help it you snickered, realizing that it was true, sans chuckled and sat down next to you, taking the spare plate in the center and helping himself to breakfast,
after everyone had breakfast everyone joined in conversation, "well, i guess we'll have to be going soon" you said knowing you couldn't stay forever 'sis, please can we stay, if only for today?' you were about to reply that you had work tomorrow but papyrus said "OLDER HUMAN! YOU MUST STAY!! FOR I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, AM ON A BREAK DAY!!" you bit the inside of your cheek turning to sans "is it ok with you?" sans shrugged smiling "yep, it's fine with me, plus i think some of our friends are coming over today" paps nodded vigorously "THAT IS RIGHT SANS! OUR FRIENDS ARE COMING OVER!!" you sighed in resignation "well, alright, fine, we'll stay, but only for ONE day k?"
the three muskets nodded and wide smiles appeared on their faces, papyrus left in a hurry to get the house ready and the muskets were keen to follow, you shook your head smiling, you got up and started to clean up the plates, and surprisingly sans helped you, "it's alright sans, i got it" sans shrugged "yeah, you might got the plates, but, how you gonna wash 'em?" you opened your mouth to answer but stopped, and sighed sans chuckled, and walked into the kitchen with some plates and forks, you followed and stopped at the foot of the very high sink
"how on earth am i gonna get up there?" your mind suggested your wings but you quickly waved that thought away, yeah no, you're not gonna do that, sans smirked "like this" you were surrounded with a blue mist and sans gave you his dishes, and seemed to lift you up, you looked around as you ascended not really comprehending what exactly was happening "uh, sans?" you looked down and saw his white pin-pricks gone replaced with one glowing blue eye, the other socket black his left hand was covered in the same blue mist that was lifting you upwards he smiled "don't worry, i gotcha"
you looked around and found yourself at the top of the sink, you placed the dishes into it's bowl and swung onto the fairly big counter around the basin, the blue mist faded away and you saw that you were about four feet then your normal height, you shivered at the prospect of falling, you turned to the dishes and washed them with the dish soap on the right to the faucet,
after you were done you wondered how to put them away, "hey, if you done up there, just drop 'em to me" you looked down at sans and smiled "alright" you took the first plate you came to and looked down as you dropped it to sans, he caught it with what you supposed was his magick, and dried it, then proceeded to put it in it's rightful place you smiled wider and dropped the next one and watched the process again,
after you dropped the last of the forks you looked down preparing to jump, but sans already beat you to it, before you could jump, the blue of sans' magick wrapped around you, and started to pull you gently to the ground, a sense of calm washed over you and smiled as you descended, when your feet touched the ground the magick disappeared and sans smiled walking towards to the living room you followed him "thanks for helping me sans" he shrugged "heh, no problem pancake"
you blinked at the nickname and chuckled, smiling sheepishly, shaking your head you continued to the living room and plopped onto the couch turning to sans you asked "sans, who exactly is coming over?" sans chuckled "you're just gonna have to see for yourself" you sighed, rested your head on the back of the couch and closed your eyes, 'this is going to be one exciting day'
