"God exists"
Tyler said, as if it was the most obvious thing
"He's with us right now"
Melanie didn't listen, she barely even could listen
Her body was changing
Also her vision and the rest of her senses
Oh how magnificent her own hands were
She did nothing else than stare at them for what felt like hours
Their depths, their peculiarity
Melanie could see the pores, the cells, the blood vessels
The walls spoke, told her things she didn't really want to hear
When she looked at the walls,
They seemed to move
She watched the strange swifting pattern
It changed to swirling colors, reds, blues and yellows
Melanie wanted to tell Tyler how beautiful it all was
But when she spun her head around,
She couldn't see him
She tried calling his name
But out from her mouth came dribbling honey
Her words came out soggy and tasting of color
She tried to stand up but her walk was similar to a dance
She saw Tyler standing up by the treehouse's door
She embraced him and he turned around to look at her
She heard a laugh
It was bubbly, hysterical, wild
Melanie started laughing as well
So much she fell down
She felt so terrible, so uneasy, but still so, so free
All her worries were gone
Never in her life had she felt so happy
She was flying, she was the queen of the world, she knew the answer to every question
It was an amazing feeling
All thanks to Tyler
She loved him so much
For giving her happiness
And everything was under control
Everything was amazing
Everything was beautiful
It was all so beautiful, Melanie could not stand the sight of it
She closed her eyes
Immediately she was in another world
In outer space
Flying in a sphere, in another universe
She was riding shooting stars through the Milky Way
She no longer knew how and where she existed
Was she dead, was this heaven?
Was she alive, but not as a human, but as that wolf in the corner staring at her?
Maybe she was the wolf with red eyes
Whatever she was, she was wonderful and beautiful
She wanted to tell Tyler about her epiphany
About how thankful she was
About how she could hear the birds outside breathe
How she could smell the blood from his palms
She saw Tyler outside of the treehouse
He was smacking an oak with a stick
"Stop hitting yourself!"
He was yelling
The tree was pink
Melanie reached it and touched Tyler's arm
She got to see a rabbit
It was white
It stared at them, with red eyes
Everyone had red eyes
Even Tyler
Melanie wondered if she had red eyes too
She screeched at Tyler to follow the rabbit
They had to follow the rabbit
The closer Melanie got to the animal,
The clearer she heard a ticking noise
A very loud clock
And they reached the rabbit
And it jumped down a hole under a tree
They jumped after
As they were falling,
Melanie thought she would die
The hole never ended
She would hit the ground before she knew it
And she did
Though she was sure she was still alive
Melanie ran after the rabbit
The place they were in was another forest
Another forest inside of the tree
It was full of vibrant colors
It was so beautiful Melanie couldn't even explain it with words
Or anything else that existed in reality
She saw animals
Blue frogs
Red frogs
Blue frogs turning red
Red frogs turning blue
She saw mushrooms bigger than her house
She no longer knew what was real and what was unreal
She heard her name getting called
Tyler looked confused
"This is just like my mind"
Melanie didn't understand
"I often feel like this, even without a sugar rush"
"Then you're insane, your brain is scattered"
"I'm not insane, Melanie. I'm not insane"
Melanie laughed
The whole world was covered in rainbows
"You're as insane as the Mad Hatter. You're a mad boy in a red hat"
Tyler pulled her arm
"If I'm the Mad Hatter, then you're Alice. You're just as crazy as me"
And Melanie was indeed Alice in Wonderland at this moment
Maybe Lewis G. Carroll was on drugs too
"So what if I am? All the best people are crazy"
Tyler looked at her
His pupils were bigger than usual
"You wanna meet Blurryface, don't you?"
His smile was wicked
"I'm gonna make you meet Blurryface"
