Error's POV a day or two later
"So hOw hAvE yOu bEeN, HoRrOR? It fEeLs lIkE a FeW dAyS bUt i knOw mOrE tiMe mUst'Ve pAsSeD hErE."I ask as Shino and Lovespoon play together
"Pretty good now. Lovespoon is finding a hobby with a passion. She is finding a passion for a craft like mine. While I carve wood, she has learned how to sew. I think she grew quite curious about it after your training sessions where you would teach her to knit and crochet. She has grown quite skilled at sewing in addition to what you taught her, making us clothing. In fact, she wanted to show you a few designs and wants to show them off to nearby towns."He says
"Oh ReAlLy?"I say
He nods.
"Some villages are in need of help so she wants to go to them and share her designs to keep them warm. Help them out, ya know? She's very generous and kind, growing into a very caring and giving person."He says
"I woNdeR wHo tHat SounDS liKe. MaYbE thE pErSoN wHo wAs wiLlInG tO giVe aLl hIs fOoD tO oThErS?"I say teasingly
He glances at me as he catches on, then chuckles.
"Right..."He says
I smile at him and he reaches out, holding my hand gently.
"Killer told me about your situation...What Reaper said, I mean. How are you doing?"He asks
I sigh, shaking my head.
"Fe3lS t3rRiBl3 t0 hAvE aLl tHeSe pRepArAtiOns f0r s0m3th1nG i'M n0t tHe tYpE f0r."I say, raising my hand.
The certificate of my deal with Destiny, and a paper formally giving me blessings rise with a wave of my hand. He frowns, shaking his head.
"Reaper's a fool, Dad. You deserve better."He says
'PfFt, yEah cUz i cAn jUsT sTaRt oVeR aGaiN..."I say
"What other choice do you really have? Your relationship has gone stagnant, he is taking you for granted and clearly has some problem with commitment or insecurity about the relationship to be accusing you or eavesdropping you as if you'd betray him. And you clearly aren't on the same page or have a chance to move forward since you desire to marry and he finds it ridiculous. You have different desires or goals on where to take your relationship and he lacks trust in you. He cannot have it both ways with you where he simps for you, gets your cuddles while also shooting you and your ideas down with his comments or lack of trust. It just doesn't work like that so until he matures enough to learn that, you should shift to what's best for you and not put up with his nonsense."He tells me
"WhAt aBoUt tHe kIdS?"I ask
"They'll like you happier more than whatever arrangement Reaper keeps you in."He says
I dismiss what I've collected and sigh, knowing that he's probably right. Reaper hasn't given any indication that he might change his mind in the future, only that he views marriage as ridiculous. Not that he isn't ready for it yet, just that it's absurd.
"G-Pa! G-Pa! Can I show you my skills? I've learned a lot!"Lovespoon says, running up to me.
I smile at her as Shino runs inside with a grin. I nod, letting her lead me away until she lets me sit. She stands up, bending over me slightly as I kneel down with my hands on my knees. She gently holds my chin and I lean into it with a smile.
"I want to make you pretty! I can show you my skills, G-Pa! You're very handsome so it will work!"She says
I smile, nodding to allow her. I shut my eyes and she gently starts brushing my face. I felt taps under my eyes and cheeks, then over my eyes and I heard her giggle.
"You look so nice already, G-Pa! You'll love it! Your cheeks are sparkling now! Next, I'll show you some designs I made for you!"She says
"ThaT s0uNdS l0v3ly, hUn."I say
"If you look sparkly, you'll feel sparkly! If you look pretty, you'll feel pretty! I want you to feel as good as you look and be happy!"She says
I smile wider at her hearing that.
"And it'll make whoever ruined your mood regret it!"She says
I had to keep myself from laughing at the comment so I didn't ruin her efforts.
If only she knew....You know what? Maybe it's better if she doesn't since she'd probably go after him.
"Shino! Come see G-Papa! He looks glowy!"She says
"Hm?"Shino says
"He's glowing!"She says
"I'll get your designs for Papa!"Shino says
Within a few minutes, Shino comes over with folded fabrics. She offers it to me and I snap my fingers, switching the clothes out easily. It even came with red sunglasses with shaded lenses. They both hold my arms gently, looking up at me happily and lovingly.
"It looks great on you, G-Pa!"Lovespoon says
"Mhmm!"Shino hums
It feels quite nice and they hug my arms, continuing to compliment me and gaze up at me lovingly.
"Shino! Can I do you next?"Lovespoon asks
"Sure!"Shino says
The two run off and I watch them go.
Yea, this is exactly what I needed. A break from that and family to take my mind off of it.
My phone rings so I check to see loooong texts from Reaper where he gives his apology and lists out numerous reasons why he loves me. It reached the point of spamming me. I turn off my notifications, not wanting to hear or see it right now.
I smile, seeing Shino step out with Lovespoon, dressed up nicely. Horror is right, Lovespoon is very skilled at her new passion. Then she gets another idea, bringing Shino over after speaking with Horror.
"Would you like to go to a town center? We can have some fun by the fountain."She suggests
"SuR3 tH1nG."I say
They both hug my arms and she leads me away. We walk with her to the village she wanted us to visit where music can be heard luring us into the town center where bands play around the fountain. Food is sold, laughter is heard and people are dancing. She shows us around with a big smile. I smile back at her, seeing the two of them start dancing together. Then my phone rings.
"WhaT d0 y0u wAnT?"I ask as the two dancers twirl around the fountain
"Glitchy, please listen to me...I am really sorry. I won't ever act like that again, I swear."He says
"Uh-hUh, n0w y0u tElL mE. ArE yOu sTiLl GOiNg To fOlLoW, EaVeSdRoP aNd ASsUmE?"I ask
"No, never!"He says
"HoW dO i KnOw tHaT tHiS iSn'T jUsT tO gEt cUdDlEs?"I ask
"Because I love you Glitchy! Did you read any of my texts?"
"WeLl, mAyBe i'M n0t tH3 rEaD1nG tYp3. RiDicul0us, iSn'T iT?"I say
"Glitchy...Please...How can I make it up to you?"He asks
"CaLl iT g1viNg m3 spAcE."I say
"Okay...Take as much as you need. I love you...And I still want a future with you..."
"AnD yEt y0u f1nd mArRiAgE riDicul0us-"
"I didn't mean that! It came out wrong and I'm sorry for hurting you with my words. Please, Glitchy. I love you..."
I hang up on him, frowning. He sounds genuine, but I need time.
"Papa! Come dance!"Shino says
I smile, going to join them.
I know that I love them.
