"You're joking, right? You did not say that to his face and expect a good outcome!"Killer says
Reaper frowns, taking a sip from his cup. Killer had invited him out for some drinks to chat and "have fun" but he is the only one having fun as he makes fun of the god's plans for his Glitchy.
"Oooh, so you did say it to his face! Wooow! Even I'm not dumb enough to say that! That's probably the worst excuse I've heard!"Killer says
"What? I was just trying to apologize for my assumptions or mind running off."He says
"And yet you managed to insult him and shoot yourself in the foot. It's ridiculous to imagine you ever getting married, you say! Then you say that he doesn't seem like the marrying type? Pfft, woow. You basically said that you couldn't see him ever getting proposed to OR successfully proposing to someone. And on top of that, you made it seem that you thought that he was unfit to marry by saying that he wasn't the type. That there's nothing about him that would be worth marrying or committing to. It even implies that you question his commitment, especially after letting your mind led you to eavesdrop on him. You made it clear that you didn't trust his commitment, dude. So now that you said what you did, how do you intend to propose to him with that ring? Do you know how insulting that would be? What kind of person with any self-respect would marry the guy who said he isn't worth marrying? Not Error, that's who. He'll think you're mocking him and hurt him more. You really know how to let your mouth talk for you, don't you? I thought lovers speak from the soul, not whatever shit you're using."He explains to Reaper before taking another sip of his drink
Reaper frowns, unable to think of any defense and simply takes another sip from his drink.
"And let me guess, he snapped at you and all you could do was apologize during cuddles? Didn't think to correct yourself?"
"What was I supposed to say other than sorry?"Reaper asks
"Anything that didn't make his last impression of you is that you think he isn't worth marrying. Do you honestly believe that romance god's story?"Killer asks
"Why wouldn't I?"
"Well, given that you didn't hear everything, you don't know everything that they were talking about. They could've easily been talking about anyone else and you wouldn't have known. That goddess could've just told you that to cover up who was really planning to marry someone special so that the big surprise didn't get ruined. I make up stories all the time to cover up for Dust with Boss, especially when Boss doesn't know the whole story so I can see that happening here. And I have a feeling I know who since I saw Error yesterday and I've never seen him look so upset before. And that says a lot since he is often upset when out destroying AUs but this time he didn't look angry, he looked soul-broken. So good job doing that, Reaper. You really know how to kill the mood."Killer says
"Excuse me, do you mind if I join?"A voice asks before it could sink into Reaper what Killer meant.
Reaper glances over, seeing Devota, the goddess of commitment.
"Sure! Anything I can order for ya? I'm buddies with the bartender here."Killer says as the bartender rolls their eyes.
"That's fine. One Tequilla Honey Bee please."She says to the bartender
The bartender nods and starts making the drink as the goddess lets out a frustrated sigh.
"Rough day?"Killer asks
"You have no idea."She says, sitting beside Reaper.
Reaper is now stuck between the two and can feel the tension as the two glance at him with some unspoken annoyance. He keeps his hood up, hiding his face as he occupies himself with his drink.
"What happened? Dumb boss or dumb coworkers?"Killer asks
"Well, I have this friend that I helped get married and now she wants help getting a vision to come true with another god. She wants to help him and he is quite deserving of it as far as I can tell. Good friend, a loving father, a sweet grandfather, and a devoted boyfriend. What more could you ask for? I have the power to help protect a bond with my blessing but I have to be confident that both people involved are committed to the relationship. I can tell that this god is committed, there's no question about it. But their partner, whom I didn't meet with, isn't someone I'm certain about. I could see some pain in the god's soul from suspicions placed by his partner. His partner's words harmed him recently, indicating insecurity in the relationship. But it isn't from him, it's in his partner's confidence in his commitment. In my experience, it's often the partner who isn't confident about the other's commitment who truly has an insecure commitment to them. So as far as I see it, this god's partner is the one with commitment issues despite what they said to the god. I've never had a cheating or unfaithful partner come to me for a commitment's blessing after all."She explains
"So what did you do?"Killer asks
"I had to give my first half-blessing. I blessed him and his commitment to whoever he chooses so that HE will get the happiness that he desires and deserves, but I advised him to be careful with whom he chooses so that he is treated right. He should have a partner who is committed to him and doesn't hide their insecurities with comments about doubting him. Now he is releasing his stress with the King of Negativity. I've never had to do that before but he deserved it. I intend to meet his partner and see what's wrong with him."She says
Reaper frowns, catching onto the wording. He's looking for a blessing. She's already married. Killer is right. That romance goddess made a cover story for Error and now he feels even worse. He doubted Error and his words hurt Error. His....His Glitchy wants to get married and he insulted his intentions. And now he is with Nightmare? Probably venting about this to him as they destroy AUs? Oh, he can hear Nightmare talking to Error already: "See, Error? I told you that Reaper was no good for you. He belongs on his own list that he threatened to put me on. You deserve better. Come back to the gang where you're appreciated. This family knows what you're worth, unlike that birdbrain."
"I mean come on, what kind of idiot would see him with my friend aka the romance expert and think that they're not committed? What next, they're going to doubt his commitment when they see him watching UnderNovela? I have never met such a fool in all my years of giving blessings and arranging commitments."She says
"What do you do for work?"Killer asks
"Oh, I'm a goddess of commitment but I do official work with my own wedding planning company. Here, this is the address if you ever need some help with your special day."She says, reaching past Reaper to give a business card to Killer
Killer grins and tucks it in his pocket.
"I'll save this for when my nephew gets the chance to have that special day so don't expect it anytime soon."He says
"And who might that be?"She asks
"Goth. I think he's the son of the god you met."He says
"Oh yes, he is. I've seen him and he's so adorable with that roller boy. I can see their commitment and would easily give them a blessing if they asked for it. When they're old enough of course."She giggles before taking a sip from her drink
Then she looks at him and smiles.
"I remember you! You're the chosen brother of the lumberjack that married the farmer! That pairing is so sweet and it was a joy to put protection on their wedding so that nobody would interfere, well...not object. I had a few words with Gaster for crashing it to confront that god of death. Wait...Now that I think about it, you probably know who I'm talking about! How did you feel about the father of the lumberjack's relationship?"She says
"I'm guessing you mean Horror's marriage to Farmer. Yeah, I know them. Error had an interesting way of forming relationships but I've never met anyone dumber to cause him this frustration. The last thing I would've ever doubted about Error is his sense of commitment. He is dedicated 100% to anything he puts his mind and soul to and never turns his back on anyone he says he is allied with. This fool was talking pure bullshit and should eat his words."Killer says with a grin just to make Reaper feel worse.
"Do you know where I can find such a fool to have a conversation with him?"She asks sarcastically
Reaper sits up, finishes his drink, and leaves his payment in an attempt to leave but two hands block him from behind.
"Oh! Reaper! Hello, I didn't see you there! Why don't you stay a bit so that we can discuss a few things?"She says, putting a threatening order into her question with a sharp tone.
Killer grins, getting his refill from the bartender as Reaper is forced to stay.
"This is going to be good."He chuckles.
