Book 2: So, this is Forever

42 – A treacherous maze

Freen's POV

In the relaxed afternoon of our spontaneous lazy day, just the two of us in our mansion, we decided to indulge in another movie marathon.

While I was engrossed in browsing for a movie, my wife returned from the kitchen.

"I've made our favorite burgers, Babe," she announced, placing the plate on the center table.

"Hmm," I murmured absentmindedly.

"Babe, just choose anything, even something we've watched before," she suggested, settling beside me on the couch.

"Naaaahhh! I want something new. I don't want to repeat the same thing all over again. Tsk! That's just boring, babe." I replied, shrugging off her suggestion.

She didn't say anything more, maybe, just letting me decide.

"Hey, how about this? It's something new. Would you like to try it?" I asked, silently reading the movie synopsis without looking at her.

Still met with silence, I turned to her and was greeted with Becky's angry bear expression, sending a chill down my spine. What did I miss? What did I do wrong?

"B-baby? What's wrong?" I asked cautiously, feeling a lump in my throat.

She raised her eyebrows, her voice tinged with anger, "Is that your way of saying you want someone new? You don't want me anymore, Freen?"

"Oh, shoot!" I muttered, realizing I'd stepped into a verbal minefield.

"No, no, that's not what I meant at all," I stammered, trying to explain myself. "I just meant I wanted a new movie, not someone new. You're the only one for me. How did you even get that idea, baby?"

"Oh, so now there's something wrong with how I think?" she shot back.

I winced, feeling like I'd made things worse. "No, baby, not at all," I hurriedly explained. "Let's just pick a movie we've seen before, okay?"

"Now you want the same old thing, just because you're out of options," she said after rolling her eyes at me.

"Ugh, baby," I whined, realizing I'd stepped into another minefield.

"What?" She raised her eyebrows once more.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that," I apologized, hoping to smooth things over. "Believe me, I was just talking about the movie. I'm yours, remember?" I took her hand and kissed the top of it

"Yes, you're mine, Sarocha!" She declared, then suddenly sat on my lap, facing me with her legs on each side.

"Oh, Babe," I was taken aback and leaned back on the couch. Then she suddenly hugged me and I return the embrace.

"Don't love someone new or someone else, baby, just me, please," she whined like a literal kid.

Oh, my, how fast her mood shifts, from a grumpy scary bear to a cute and cuddly little bear. But I better shut my mouth now, before I dig myself into another grave.

As she nestled into my embrace, her warmth and affection melted away any lingering tension. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her close, and whispered, "I promise, it's just you, now and always."

Her playful pout softened into a smile, and she leaned in to plant a gentle kiss on my cheek. "Good. Because I'm not sharing you with anyone else."

I chuckled, feeling relieved that our little misunderstanding had been resolved. "You have my undivided attention, my love."

With a contented sigh, she snuggled closer, her fingers tracing patterns on my chest.

"Let's forget about movies for now. How about we just enjoy each other's company?" I suggested.

"You're right. And I wanna enjoy you as much as I can" she murmured seductively, trailing kisses along my neck.

Oh! crap another shift. "Oh, baby," I gasped as her actions sent a shiver down my spine. "I thought you were sore."

"Hmmm," she murmured, savoring my scent and planting soft kisses on my neck, her lips lingering on my earlobe. The sensation was intoxicating, and I couldn't help but moan softly.

"Just because I'm sore doesn't mean I can't enjoy you," she whispered huskily. Her words ignited a fiery passion within me, sending an electric thrill coursing through my veins. She was my ultimate temptation, my sweetest obsession.

In that moment, all thoughts vanished, replaced by a burning desire that only she could ignite. I surrendered to her touch, her hands exploring the curves of my body, pulling me closer as our passion intensified.

With each caress, the world around us faded into insignificance, leaving only the raw intensity of our connection. Every brush of her fingertips sent electric pulses of pleasure coursing through my veins, igniting a firestorm of longing within me.

Her touch was like a symphony, each movement orchestrated to perfection, driving me to the brink of ecstasy. I yearned for her with an intensity that bordered on madness, lost in the depths of her embrace.

As our bodies melded together in a sensual dance, time seemed to stand still, suspended in the timeless embrace of our desire. In that moment, there was only her and I, consumed by the fiery passion that united us in an unbreakable bond.

Becky's POV

The afternoon unfurled with the echo of my wife's soft moans reverberating through the rooms of our house, a testament to the passionate symphony we were composing together. Thankfully, we had instructed our household staff to take the day off, granting us the privacy we craved for our intimate escapade.

"You'll be the death of me, baby," she panted, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she leaned against the kitchen counter.

I couldn't help but smirk as I savored the taste of her essence lingering on my fingers. She had just experienced her fifth orgasm.. "Do I hear a complaint?" I teased, my voice laced with playful amusement.

Her eyes sparkled with a mixture of satisfaction and desire as she caught her breath, a mischievous grin playing on her lips.

"Complain? Not in the slightest," she replied, her voice husky with arousal. "But you better be ready to handle the consequences of your actions. You need to lift me coz I don't have any energy left anymore," she added with a playful pout.

I chuckled, feeling a surge of affection for her infectious spirit. With a gentle sweep of my arms, I lifted her effortlessly, cradling her in an embrace that spoke volumes of our intimate connection.

"Consider it done, my love," I murmured, planting a tender kiss on her forehead. "I'll always be here to lift you up, in every way imaginable way." I teased her seductively.

She lightly swatted my arm, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "You better be... Armstrong," she teased, her laughter filling the room.

"Hmm, sounds sexy," I remarked, tracing my fingers along her thighs with a suggestive grin.

She caught my hand, shaking her head with a soft chuckle. Sitting up on the edge of the counter, she leaned in to meet my lips. "As much as I want to," she whispered against my mouth, "I don't think my body could take it anymore, my love. You've drained me."

A pang of satisfaction and pride swelled within me at her words. Pulling her closer, I held her gently, savoring the intimate moment we shared. "Then let's save our energy for later," I murmured, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.

"We have all the time in the world, baby — forever remember." With a tender smile, she nestled closer, her head resting against my chest as she listened to the steady rhythm of my heartbeat. I gently ran my fingers through her hair, relishing the silkiness of each strand as it slipped between my fingertips.

"Forever!" I murmured, my voice a soft melody that filled the air with warmth and affection. "You always know just what to say"

Leaning in, I pressed a lingering kiss to Freen's forehead, savoring the sweetness of the moment. "Only because I love you," she whispered.

Her eyes, pools of endless depth and tenderness, met mine with a silent understanding that spoke volumes. In that gaze, I found solace, reassurance, and unwavering devotion.

With a gentle caress, I traced the curve of her cheek. "And I love you," she replied, her words a soft echo of my own, yet carrying a depth of emotion that stirred my heart. In her embrace, I found home—a place of warmth, acceptance, and boundless love.

Freen's POV

I woke up with Becky nestled in my arms, a soft smile graced my lips, spreading warmth throughout my being.

In that quiet moment, with the morning sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a soft glow over us, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by a wave of thankfulness. Thankful for her presence in my life, simply for the love we shared.

She stirred slightly in my embrace, a small sigh escaping her lips as she nuzzled closer to me, seeking the comfort of my embrace. And in that simple gesture, I felt the depth of our connection—oh my clingy wife.

As she slowly blinked open her eyes, adjusting to the gentle morning light filtering through the curtains, I found myself captivated by the ethereal beauty lying before me. Her gaze, still heavy with sleep, exuded a warmth and tenderness that enveloped me like a comforting embrace.

"Good morning, my love," I whispered, my voice barely more than a breath as I delicately brushed a stray strand of hair from her face.

"Good morning," she murmured, her voice a soft melody that filled the room with tranquility.

With a tender touch, I traced the delicate curve of her cheek, relishing the sensation of her smooth skin beneath my fingertips. In that fleeting moment, the outside world faded into insignificance, leaving only the two of us wrapped in the serene cocoon of our love.

"I'm so thankful to have you," I whispered, the depth of my emotions resonating in my words.

A smile bloomed on her lips, radiant and brimming with affection. "Hmm, aren't you unusually sweet this morning, baby?" she teased, her playful tone laced with a hint of anticipation. "Please tell me you have a naughty plan in mind—I'm more than willing to oblige."

I couldn't help but chuckle at her playful insinuation, unable to resist her infectious spirit. "That didn't even cross my mind. You're becoming quite the sex addict, wifey," I teased in return.

"I'm not addicted to sex. I'm addicted to you," she countered with a pout. "But if the thought of making love to me hasn't crossed your mind, I rest my case." With a sudden move, she rose from the bed and disappeared into the bathroom, the door closing with an angry resounding thud.

"What?" I mumbled to myself, feeling bemused. I tried to make sense of what just happened. Lately, I found myself struggling to understand her shifting moods. It seemed like whatever I did was always wrong, but somehow, we always ended up making love afterward. That's the only part that I won't complain about. I just shook my head.

I walked to the bathroom door, but it's locked. I let down my shoulder and sighed. What trick will I do now to win her over? "Baby, please open the door," I asked her, "Let's shower together... and maybe do some sweet stuff," I teased her.

"No!" her voice echoed. "No sex until you crave for me and come begging."

Oh, this woman doesn't understand that I always crave her, and I will beg if need be, just to be with her—always.

"I do, babe. I crave you. Please, baby," I pleaded at the door.

"You're lying! Go shower in the guest room!" she shouts.

"I'm not lying, Beck!" I retorted.

"Just go now! Stop insisting!" she yelled over the shower as I could hear the water drops.

"O-okay!" I rested my case. I'll try a different strategy.

Before I could even step away, I heard her shout again. "Don't go to the office today; I want to do some shopping."

"But, baby..."

"Don't even try to say no. Coz if you do, I'll divorce you this very day!" Becky yells again.

"Eyyyy! Not fair!" I responded.

"Don't care! Now go!"

Feeling a mix of frustration and confusion, I retreated from the bathroom door and showered in the guest room, pondering my next move. Navigating Becky's mood swings was becoming increasingly challenging, and I wasn't sure how to approach the situation.

As I dressed and made my way downstairs, thoughts swirled in my mind. Despite our occasional misunderstandings, I couldn't deny the depth of my love for Becky. She was the light of my life, and I couldn't imagine my world without her in it.

I found her in the kitchen, sipping on a cold milk tea with a contemplative expression on her face. Tentatively, I approached her, unsure of how she would react.

"Hey, babe," I began, my voice soft with uncertainty. "I'm sorry if I upset you earlier. I didn't mean to."

She glanced up at me, her gaze blank from any emotion. "It's okay, Freen," she replied, her tone gentle. "But I'm serious, let's go shopping today. I think I want a change of wardrobe."

I nodded and smiled in agreement, not wanting another disagreement. Perhaps she just wanted to spend this week to ourselves, taking advantage of our daughter being away. And who was I to deny that from my wife?

During our drive to the mall, the atmosphere between us remained somewhat subdued.

Seated beside Becky, I reached out to hold her hand, a silent gesture of support and connection. To my relief, she accepted my touch, leaning into my shoulder as our driver navigated the car in busy street.

I mustered up the courage to broach the subject that had been weighing heavily on my mind.

"Becky, is everything okay?" I asked gently, my voice laced with concern.

She sat straight and looked at me with a questioning look. "Hmmmm... yeah I think everything is okay? Why do you think something is wrong with me?" she asked with a questioning look, as if she was trying to read my thoughts.

I gulped, my heart pounded in my chest as I struggled to find the right words. Every response felt like a step through a treacherous maze—if I respond incorrectly I will open a door heading to my own grave.

Summoning a shaky resolve, I replied, "N-nothing. I just thought you're too silent."

Her expression softened, and shrugged her shoulder. "just thinking which store shall we go first" she said giggled.

Relief washed over me like a wave as I hear her giggling. Despite the lingering unease, I took the win over the maze at this moment.

With Becky's laughter filling the car, the heavy atmosphere lifted, replaced by a sense of relief and ease.

Entering the bustling mall, we were greeted by a flurry of activity and excitement. Becky's playful demeanor seemed to brighten with each step, her energy contagious as she eagerly discussed our shopping plans.

Lost in the rhythm of our conversation, I found myself swept up in the simple joy of being together.

As she wandered through the aisles of Balenciaga, a denim terno catching her eye, she turned to me with a hopeful expression. "Baby, do you think this will look good on me?"

I rose from the couch and approached her with a smile. "You look good in everything, baby," I replied, leaning in closer. "But your best look is without any clothes in bed," I whispered teasingly.

Becky's eyes widened, and she whispered-yelled at me, "Freen! Not gonna happen for some time," she smirked, playfully swatting my arm as I pouted in response.

"I'll go to the restroom first, babe," I informed her, preparing to step away for a moment.

"Oh, okay! I'll pay for this and maybe, just maybe, head to a different store. I'll message you if ever I do so" she replied, already turning to signal her intentions to her bodyguard.

"Noted, baby," I said, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek before nodding to her bodyguard to accompany her.

I came back from the restroom, expecting to find Becky browsing through the store. But she wasn't there. I checked my phone - no messages. Just as I was about to call her, I spotted her in the next store over.

I walked over, thinking maybe she found something interesting. But as I got closer, I realized it was a baby store. My heart sank a little. I guess Becky's still thinking about having another kid, but she hasn't brought it up yet, probably worried about rocking the boat after we just made up.

As I got nearer, I saw someone next to her, and I could feel my fists clenching without even meaning to.
