A few days later, Error's POV
I sit with Goth as he tries to cut the cookies he plans to bake into diamonds. I help him cut and decorate them, following the directions in the recipe book. Raven is training his skills in the backyard on a practice dummy and Shino is downstairs being supervised by Reaper.
Or is it vice versa?
It's quite peaceful until we hear...
"Dad! Don't touch that-NOO!"Shino shouts
BOOOM!
Then as I'm going to the basement, Shino cautiously opens the door as she lowers glitching code walls covered in chemicals.
"I told Dad that I made the cure and he grabbed the wrong sample. He didn't wait for me to explain and it was an unstable sample...Sorry, Papa."She says, holding a vial of black bubbling fluids in it.
I shake my head, sighing with relief that she's okay.
"Go set that aside. I'll help him. I'm glad that you're not hurt."I say
She nods and I go downstairs, seeing a smaller blast zone and smaller mess than last time. I learned from last time so I put some gloves on, glancing around for Reaper. I find him curled up on the floor and a lot smaller. I shake my head, realizing what happened. I carefully pick him up as his tiny wings flap, wiping the chemicals off him as I bring him upstairs. I quickly get a bath ready, putting him in one.
"So....Dad's a baby now?"Goth asks after glancing in.
I nod, smiling at Reaper as he plays with the soapy bubbles.
"I'll get the cure from Nightmare the next time I visit Palette."He says, shutting the door.
Then I feel my soul surge with sudden pain and check it. I frown, seeing that the glow that surrounds it from Reaper is fading. What had kept Gaster from using me is fading and it may leave me powerless again...Giving Gaster a chance to hurt me for returning to them. Yet, understandably, the "claim" on my soul from that contract is fading since it's supposed to be for soulmates and it would be weird for a baby to be soulmates with an adult. Too big of a perceived age difference.
I finish his bath, set him in bed, and call for Shino.
"Shino, can you bring me the cure?"I ask
I'm not letting Gaster get control again.
She comes in, handing me it and smiles. Then she leaves to clean the basement and fix her lab again. I smile, pulling Reaper beside me as he blinks tiredly at me. He smiles up at me as I sip the vial, then lay beside him.
The vial worked and the next thing I know, I was rebooting. I couldn't move or sense anything but I know I'm safe with my family. When I finish rebooting though, I find Reaper curled up in my arms and clinging onto me. I see that he is wearing one of my jackets and scarves, making me chuckle.
"ArEn'T yOu aDoR-ReApEr, aRe yOu oK?"I ask, noticing tears in his eyes.
He hugs me tighter, not answering me.
"Sowwy...."He says quietly
"SoRrY? WHaT aRE yOu sOrRy fOr?"I ask
"Weevin."He says, glancing up at me as tears roll down his face
That face is too cute to be crying....
I gently wipe his tears away, seeing that my fingers are back to their usual boney appearance.
"Papa, Raven made Dad cry by messing with him about you."Goth says
I glance over, seeing the two boys in the doorway.
"It was just a joke! I didn't expect him to react so dramatically!"Raven says
"Wooow, picking on Dad as a baby, Raven? That's mean."Shino says from down the hall
Goth walks beside me and shows me his phone, playing a recording he made. It shows the kitchen floor going into the living room as Reaper's giggling can be heard. Then Reaper is seen on camera wearing my jacket as he crawls around, snuggling into my scarf.
"Dad?"Goth says
Reaper glances over with a bright smile.
"Hewwo!"He says
"What are you wearing?"Goth asks, muffling a giggle
"Cooozeeee!"
"Whose clothes are cozy?"Goth asks
"Ewwuhs!"
"You're wearing Papa's clothes?"Goth asks
"Mhm!"Reaper says, hiding his face in my scarf happily
"They're very big on you."
"Good!"
Then Raven enters the view of the camera and grins.
"Well isn't this interesting?"
"Hewwo!"Reaper says
"Where's Papa?"Raven asks
"I think he took the cure from Shino and is upstairs."Goth says
"Mhm!"Reaper says
"So you left him alone upstairs, Dad? Wooow. You took his clothes and left him? I see where your priorities are."Raven says teasingly
"Wha?"
"You're truly something else, Dad."Raven says
Then the tears fill Reaper's eyes and he flies upstairs, crying my name.
"Great job, Raven."Goth groans
Then the video ends. So that's why Reaper said sorry.
Reaper frowns, clinging onto me. I gently pet his wings to soothe him.
"Well at least we know that you're not a bunny anymore."Raven says
"RaVeN, pLeAsE cHoOsE a dIfFeReNt tiMe t0 meSs wIth yOuR dAd."I say, shaking my head.
"Okay..."He says
"Ewwuh? Ah you mad?"Reaper asks as the boys leave
"NoPe."I say, hearing the oven ding.
"C-Can we....mmm..."
I glance down, noticing how shy he is getting as he glances away from me.
"CuDdLe?"I suggest
He glances up at me and nods. I smile, hugging him close as he gently holds onto me. I wipe the last of his tears and tie strings around us to secure him in a sling around me. He snuggles into it, burying his face in my chest. He giggles and I kiss him on the head.
"I wuv you, Ewwuh."He says
"I l0vE yOu tOo."I say
He slowly dozes off and I smile at him. I take a picture with him in the mirror and save it to an album on my phone, seeing that Goth already sent me the video to be saved there as well.
My phone buzzes more after doing so, seeing messages zip in. Many were from Dream and Killer of all people. Killer is just fooling around, messaging me to see if I respond while completely aware of the situation. Dream somehow got my number and was reaching out to see if I'd answer his offer and ask if I was okay. I decide to message Killer back and within seconds, I get a response.
ChaosDefined: Hey! My messages actually worked! Are you alright? Horror would be so happy to hear that you're back and okay if he was here! Do you need any help?
Me: I am alright now, but Reaper got turned into a baby. -__- I don't think I need any help since Shino cured me.
ChaosDefined: Ah, what a clever girl! Where have you been anyway?
Me: Gaster forced me to be a random person in an AU, unable to reach out without being punished. I saw you once with the gang but wasn't free to join you.
ChaosDefined: Really?
Me: Yeah, I threw a chair at Ink during your fight.
ChaosDefined: THAT WAS YOU?! Hah! I found that hilarious and wanted to speak to you but you disappeared! Hah! I'm gonna tell 'em!
A few minutes pass.
BitterApple: Error, why am I learning from KILLER that you're back?
Me: Cuz he was spamming me and I felt like answering him. Would you rather learn from your brother who somehow got my number?
BitterApple: Does this mean that Horror is out there and not answering me too?
I frown.
Me: What do you mean?
BitterApple: Horror has gone missing too, Error. Farmer can't find him and neither can we. He isn't answering his phone. We don't know why this would be since he has just been looking for you and helping on the farm.
"Paaappaaa! We have a problem with Uncle Horror! Our family is a target!"Shino shouts, running into the room
