The day passed like a flash of light, finished from the moment it started. Well, that's at least how some felt.
Hyunjin and Felix spent their time working, separated by obligations which needed to be completed. By the time they got to finally talk to each other it was also time to go home. Feeling quite sad, Felix suggested that Hyunjin at least walks along with him towards the taxi. Hyunjin, unable to say no to Felix's pout, agrees and walks out of the hotel along with Felix. Avoiding all the suspicious looks they got as they walked alongside each other.
"I really wish we could've spent more time together..." Felix said pouting
Hyunjin smiled softly at Felix, saying: "We'll have plenty of time to spend together. Don't worry, I'll redeem myself for today."
Felix chuckled, "There's no need to word it that way!"
"Just speaking truthfully, my love." Hyunjin said, placing Felix's hair behind his ear "Your hair has grown out quite a bit Felix."
Felix looked over at the Hyunjins hand that was still caressing his hair. "Why, does it look bad? Should I cut it?"
Hyunjin quickly protested, "No. I didn't say that. What I meant to say is that it looks beautiful on you."
"Really?" Felix asked excitedly
"Really." Hyunjin pinched Felix's right cheek
"As long as you like it, I'll keep it. Which means, you gotta tell me when you no longer like it!" Felix smiled
"You know, that's kind of never?" Hyunjin chuckled "I like you which means I like you no matter what hair you have, silly."
At that moment, Minho walked out of the hotel with a proud smile on his face. He finally managed to confess how he felt for Jisung, yet... He couldn't keep that smile on for long. The sight that his eyes were met with, was enough to drop the beautiful smile that was on his face previously.
Felix looked over at the taxi that arrived, and with a small frown he looked back at Hyunjin. "Looks like it's already here, I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it, we'll see each other tomorrow." Hyunjin reassured
"I'll miss you, though." Felix said leaning into Hyunjins chest as Hyunjin placed his hand on Felix's back
"I didn't hear that well~" Hyunjin teased
Felix smiled, "Good luck on the show dear." He said before pecking Hyunjins lips
Minho's eyes widened as he dropped what he was carrying in his hands on the floor. He didn't want to believe it, yet there it happened. Right in front of his very own eyes. His brother betrayed him, and their plan.
Hyunjin waved at Felix while the car was driving off. Hyunjin then smiled to himself as he entered the car right next to him.
Minho stood there in silence, unable to calm down the thoughts which lingered through his mind almost as if they were attempting to suffocate him. So many of them in such a short time, too much for such a trusting heart like his.
"But you promised..." Is all Minho managed to say before rage took over him
Minho made his way away from the hotel, to his only escape. The vacation home.

Felix, clueless over what happened previously made his way inside Minho's apartment since he bought Minho some snacks he came across on his way. He felt a longing for his brother, they hadn't talked much so he hoped they'd have a chance to now. However once Felix made it further into the apartment, he quickly realized that Minho wasn't inside.
Felix furrowed his eyebrows, curious as to why Minho wasn't here like he usually was. After all, they all get dismissed from work at the same time. Confusing.
"I'll just wait for him here." Felix said making his way towards the living room
He sat down on the couch, munching on the snacks he bought while watching a movie. Three hours passed, still no sign of Minho...
Minho didn't bother to tell anyone where he was off to, feeling the need to escape deep in his heart. Once he unlocked the doors to the vacation home, most of his worries vanished into thin air. It's like a gentle breeze brushed through his soul, almost alike a loved ones touch.
That's because Minho had always went here, whenever he was feeling down, he'd lay down onto the floor looking up at the ceiling that had been painted by the previous owner. Somehow, it helped him organize his thoughts.

"Gosh, where is he? I'm starting to worry." Felix said out loud taking a hold of his phone to check if Minho had reached out to him but his hopes were crushed
"Should I call him or tell someone?" Felix was in deep thought
It wasn't like this was the first time this happened, Minho was just like that. He did things without warning, sometimes acting on impulse without meaning any harm. So it wasn't a surprise for Felix, since he had always looked out for Minho ever since they were little.
Minho would often disappear and then reappear once he felt better. So in the end, Felix decided to wait just a bit more.
An hour later.
Minho had made his way back from the vacation home and was now walking through the streets of his neighbourhood, stopping by at a bench to sit down. Upon collecting his thoughts, he decided to confront Felix about the previous event in person.
So he called Felix over the phone.
Felix jumped when he saw Minho's contact name displayed on his phone and immediately picked up.
"Minho, where are you?!" Felix asked
"I'm okay, just went out for a walk. Do you have time?"
"Of course, what is it?"
"I'd like to see you. I'm in the neighborhood so it shouldn't be hard to spot me sitting at this bench." Minho said
Felix smiled even though Minho couldn't see, "Okay, I'll be there in no time. Wait for me!"
After that, the call ended.

And just as Felix said, he arrived in no time. Spotting Minho within just a few minutes of walking.
Minho smiled, "I'm surprised you found me this quick."
"I told you I'd be here! Besides, I missed you." Felix replied
"Missed me, how come?"
"We don't talk much these days, I wonder why." Felix said
"I think you know the answer yourself, Felix." Minho said through a gentle smile "Let's walk around a bit, there's something I'd like to talk about."
"Sure, lead the way." Felix smiled back
They got up from the bench and walked around for a bit, having their casual conversation until Minho decided to ask what he was eager to know of-
"So Felix, any updates on my brother?"
Felix stayed silent for a bit, before saying: "No, not quite. Did you find something?"
"Hm, I guess so. Just not about the brother I was expecting."
"What do you mean?" Felix asked
"Mind telling me what you were doing this whole time you were working at the hotel?" Minho asked
"Um... Working?" Felix answered
"Does working also involve this?" Minho said whipping out the photos Victor had sent to him previously
Felix's eyes widened in shock, he couldn't get a word out no matter how hard he tried.
"Why bother to hide something like this, Felix?" Minho asked
"I was waiting for the right time to tell you..." Felix answered
"And that is never, right?" Minho said looking over at Felix who had turned pale
"N-no you got it all wrong! It's just that... I wasn't expecting something like this to happen Minho I'm sorry."
"Then make me think of it the right way, if I'm wrong."
"I knew what I had to do, I really did. But somehow it was still so hard for me to. When I first saw Hyunjin, I was in denial of my feelings. Convincing myself that what I felt was impossible and that I'm just making things up but, I wasn't. I fell in love with Hyunjin which served as a distraction. I never wanted to hide it from you, I was just scared that you'd think of it the wrong way. I made sure to confirm that he wasn't your brother though." Felix explained himself
Minho sighed, "I'm not mad about you falling in love with Hyunjin. I'm mad at the fact that instead of keeping your promise you completely forgot about it and jerked the CEOs dick instead of dragging the information we needed out of him."
"I... Well, you're right about that. I'm sorry. I should've focused on the plan but I was too scared." Felix said with teary eyes still looking into Minho's
"Scared of what?" Minho asked
"I promised to help you because I wanted you to care for me the way I cared for you. I wanted to be of help to you like you were to me. But in the end I couldn't because I was selfish."
"And by selfish you mean...?"
"I wanted you to stay as my brother. I wanted you to only call me by that title. Because I was scared that the moment you'd find your other brother, that you'd forget about me. That you'd run off with him and move on from our family like we never existed." A few tears escaped Felix's eyes "And because I didn't want that to happen, I sabotaged the plan. Even though I knew Hyunjin would help me if I asked and give me all the information in the world... I couldn't bring myself to ask him."
"Felix, you-"
"I know what I did was selfish, but I didn't want to lose you. I didn't want to lose my brother. I never had to share you so the thought alone gave me anxiety."
"What are you even talking about?!" Minho yelled "Are you even hearing yourself? I made a promise to you that I'd stay as your brother no matter what. You're the one here who wasn't going to keep a promise Felix, because you feared that I'd betray you the same way you betrayed me. We are not on the same page here."
"I get that. I get that I'm hard to understand in this. You're right. I know you are. I shouldn't have but I did so anyway because I put myself before all of this." Felix replied looking at Minho with nothing but sadness
"You knew yet you did it anyway? Felix I don't know what to say. I really don't." Minho said as he brushed his fingers through his hair in frustration "I understand your actions but at the same time I don't. Why would you try to ruin something so important to me if you care about me?"
"It's just as you said, I care about you. And because I do, I thought of every possibility. Minho if you continue to search for him, you'll get hurt. I don't want that-"
"What about what I want? Did you ever think about that? I'm an orphan for fucks sake! I never got to know why my mother got rid of me, I never got to know what my father did or why he left. I never got to know the truth about my own life. You have to make a difference between a real brother and me who's your adopted brother Felix."
"Minho..."
"I want to know the truth. And if you're going to get in the way then break your promise entirely and don't help at all. Leave it all to me as it's my business anyway." Minho said with a frustrated yet sad look on his face
Felix began to cry as what he feared was happening right in front of his very own eyes, Minho turned his back to him. So Felix held onto Minho's arm strongly, not letting go. "Please don't do this! I'll help this time, I won't be selfish anymore. I never knew you felt this way, I just thought you wanted to meet him."
"Felix forget about it. I know you're happy with Hyunjin and your friends, I'll just be a nuisance in all of that." Minho said trying to pull himself away from Felix's grip
"I can't forget about it, I never could. I don't want you to to through it on your own. It'll be too painful for you. How about this? I'll ask Hyunjin if I can get a background check of every employee and from then on I'll do my research."
"You should've done that in the beginning, when it mattered." Minho pulled himself out of Felix's grip
"B-but I'll help now! I swear I will. You're not a nuisance, I need you Minho and you need me. We always needed each other." Felix answered
"Really it's fine. I'll deal with it all on my own. Go on and live happily. Just forget about this plan and me for a while." Minho said walking away
"I'll help you even if you push me away!" Felix yelled as he began to cry more and more
He wiped his tears with the sleeves of his shirt, yet no matter how much he did so the more he cried.

Somehow, as I was writing this I realized just how much both sides of the story matter. Both of their stories are valid though I'll let you guys decide who's 'right'.
I'm back after a week 🙋🏻♀️Took me a bit to write this, to be honest it was hard to start writing it. I had no idea how to start it so I just let myself think about it. I tried many other events but these fit perfectly. Hope you aren't mad at me :P
