Nami was visibly upset once she found out about the leak that was happening without any of them being aware of it. At the moment she sat with Luffy and the others. Having blamed Zoro and his swords at first before doing her best to calm down.
"Okay. Crew meeting." Luffy spoke once they settled down.
"Not a crew." Nami and Zoro spoke up at the same time.
"I'll play along and say Yes, Sir." Venus spoke as she smiled.
Luffy grinned as he didn't mind the answers he got from them. "We're going to need a better boat if we plan on making it to the Grand Line." He spoke. "A real pirate ship with enough space and rooms for us all."
Venus listened as she was intrigued by his words. Understanding how he could call himself a Captain and how no one tried to leave their own way just yet. That was the boy she remembered. Always doing his own thing.
"A ship big and strong. Worthy of the Straw Hat Crew." Luffy grinned.
"Wait." Nami spoke. "Seriously? The Straw Hat Crew?" She asked.
"I thought it had a nice ring to it." Luffy shrugged.
"'Demon' has a nice ring to it. Headgear? Not so much. It's not really scary."
"Who says pirates have to be scary?" Luffy asked.
Nami glanced away in disbelief of his answer while Zoro glanced away and into the sea and Venus simply gave a small shrug.
"The point is.. we need a new ship. The question is.. where do we get one from?" Luffy asked.
Nami didn't question anything at that point. Grabbing her book before looking throught it. "Our best bet right now would be the Gecko Islands. We can probably get there before our ship sinks."
"Great. I think it was about time for an upgrade." Zoro mumbled. Sticking by Venus' side.
"I'm sure we will find one." Venus spoke.
"And it has to have a working toilet." Nami chimed in.
"Great. Good job Navigator." Luffy spoke.
"You're still not hanging that flag on my ship." Nami warned him.
Venus chuckled as she listened to them. Shaking her head a bit at how they were with one another before glancing out towards the sea.

The four of them had made it before the ship sank. Being able to walk around was freeing. Venus walked with Luffy and Zoro before they stopped at a wall of wanted posters.
"You've got to be kidding me.." Zoro spoke. "That clown was worth 15 million berry?" He scoffed. "We should've stuffed his head in a bag and brought him with us."
"No way. I don't want a talking clown head on our hands. Gross." Venus spoke.
"What marine would ever pay us that bounty anyway?" Luffy asked. "We are kind of wanted ourselves." He pointed out.
"We could wear disguises and fake names. No one would be able to tell it's us. Maybe hide your scar on the cheek and his green hair."
"What about you?" Zoro asked.
"I will watch from afar with Nami in case anything goes wrong of course." She smiled.
"All I'm saying is it gives us an even greater reason to get to the Grand Line." Luffy spoke. "For a fresh start." He grinned. "And the treasure of course."
Nami joined the three of them once she spotted them. Returning from wondering around the small village.
"Found us a ship yet?" Luffy asked.
"Not yet." Nami spoke. "Still working on it. Did you push the sloop into the sea like I asked you to?" She asked.
"Yup! No Marine is going to be finding us here."
"Good because we won't be staying here for long." She spoke. "Turns out that Syrup Village is known for their ships and ship building. We'll have lots of options ahead of us."
Luffy was happy to hear that news. "Wow. Well, what are we waiting for?" Luffy walked ahead before Nami followed.
Venus walked after them to not be left behind.
Zoro ripped the wanted poster off the walls before crumbling it up and throwing it away. "Stupid clown." He mumbled and soon followed after the three.
Venus gasped once they arrived to the docks. Just as excited as Luffy was about the ships before them.
"Look at them all." Luffy grinned.
"They're all beautiful." Venus spoke as she walked with Luffy.
"How much do any of these cost?" Zoro asked as he walked behind them with Nami.
"You can ask but we can't afford any of them. They look and feel expensive." Nami pointed out.
"I feel like we should get one that has a very impressive figurehead. An unimaginable one. One that blows you away at first sight. Something amazing." Luffy spoke as he described the boat he wanted. The one he knew they should look for and get.
"I see you've thought about it but we wouldn't be able to sail a ship that big with only four people." Nami explained.
"Maybe we'll have more people join in the future." Venus spoke.
"Yeah!" Luffy agreed with her.
"Don't encourage him Venus." Zoro spoke.
"Relax a bit." Venus spoke as she admired the ships."
"We're going to need something less flashy if we want to make it out of here." Nami sighed.
"Wait." Luffy spoke as he stopped walking. "You want to steal a ship?" He asked.
"Yes. I thought it was obvious. How else do you think we're going to get our hands on one?" Nami asked.
"I don't know." Luffy shrugged. "But I know for sure that we won't be stealing one."
"What kind of pirate are you exactly?" Nami questioned him.
Luffy glanced her way as if she was crazy. "A ship is not just a ship. It's part of our crew and if we are going to find one then we have to find the perfect one. The right way."
"Okay, try to pitch that to a saleman. I'm sure your words will be winning him over." Nami sarcastically commented.
"Exactly." Luffy patted her shoulder before leaving the two of them and taking Venus with him to look at the boats.
Zoro watched him take Venus away. His hand moving to his sword instinctively. "So, what are we actually going to be doing?" He asked.
"We are going to find a ship and figure out how the security around here really is." She explained her plan.
"Got it." Zoro spoke. Needing a distraction before he found himself going after the straw hat teen he had been traveling with.
Venus walked with Luffy as she admired the ships. Walking with him felt nostalgic for them both in a way. Keeping their walk short as Luffy spotted something. Both of them walking closer to a ship with the figurehead of a goat.
"Woah." Luffy spoke as he smiled before getting serious again. Walking over with her as they both admired the piece of art.
"A real beauty, isn't it?" A voice spoke up.
"You can talk?" Luffy asked in shock.
Venus listened to him as she laughed lightly. Moving her hand to his chin and getting him to look at the guy who was working on the boat.
"Not really." The guy spoke to him. "Yo." He greeted.
Luffy was a bit flustered by the move but regained his composure in an instant. "This ship is amazing."
"It sure is." The guy agreed.
"What can you tell us about her?" Luffy asked.
"Well she is a caravel class, top-of-the-line, ninety-six feet of pure luxury." He spoke. "Whipstaff rubber, full galley. Including canon decks fore and aft." He finished with a chef's kiss.
"Is she fast?"
"Oh, the fastest." He spoke. "No other ship in the East Blue can keep up with this baby."
"I think we found it." Venus spoke.
"She's perfect." Luffy added.
"You can say that again." The guy grinned.
Venus grinned as she stayed by Luffy's side at the moment. It felt like the right choice and she knew that he felt the same way about it. The ship was beautiful and huge. Enough to give the crew their own room for space.
