Lucky, until Molly got down the stairs.

"Where have you been?" She screeched, then her tone changed as she spoke to Harry. "Harry dear, how are you?" Then she got back to her angry mother tone. "Beds empty, no note, car gone! You could've died, you could've been seen! Of course I don't blame you Harry, dear," she smiled at Harry, and put her hands on his cheeks.

"They were starving him, mum, there was bars on his window," Ron said, mouth still full of whatever he had grabbed off the table.

"You'd best hope I don't put bars on your window Ronald Weasley!" Rosalyn sniggered at Molly's comment and Ron stamped hard on her foot. He earned a cuff to the head in return. But Molly was thankfully not paying attention to them, she was focused on Harry, who she seemed to have decided then and there that she was going to treat like another son.

"Come on Harry, time for a spot of breakfast."

The Weasley's crowded round a table, well, except one, which Rosalyn smiled at the thought. Ginny Weasley had been begging Rosalyn to let her see her brother, but Rosalyn knew she could do nothing to prevent her if they came face to face.

As expected, Ginny came downstairs clad in her dressing gown and slippers, she turned to Molly and said, "mummy have you seen my jumper?"

"Yes dear it was on the cat," was what Molly said, but suddenly Ginny didn't care about her jumper. She saw Harry, who said. "Hello."

Her eyes widened and the took a step back, and the another, and before anyone knew it, she was running out of the kitchen altogether. Rosalyn quietly giggled with the twins as Harry said. "Did I do something wrong?"

Ron answered with, "Ginny. She's been talking about you all summer, it's getting annoying, really..."

"Morning Weasley's!" Arthur had just walked through the door, he had a pointed travelling cap on and a bag tucked under his arm.

"Morning Dad!" Was what the Weasley boys said, whilst Rosalyn and Molly said, "Morning Arthur!" Harry just stayed silent.

"What a night! Nine raids, nine!"

"Raids?" Harry asked.

"Arthur works in the Ministry of Magic," Rosalyn answered. "In the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts office, he loves muggles, thinks they're fascinating." Arthur kissed Molly's cheek and sat down at the table.

Arthur took one look at Harry and said. "And who are you?"

"Oh sorry, sir, I'm Harry, sir, Harry Potter."

He took a second processing that before saying. "Good lord, are you really?" He tucked into his bacon and eggs before saying. "Well, Ron and Rosie have told us all about you, when did he get here?" He addressed his wife.

Molly skeptically answered, obviously still not over her shouting match earlier. Hi"This morning, your sons and daughter flew that enchanted car of yours to Surrey and back last night."

"Did you really? How'd it go? Did you-" he stopped when Molly slapped his arm, Rosalyn and Ron exchanged smiles. "I mean, that was very wrong indeed you four, very wrong," he turned to Harry. "Now, Harry, you must know all about muggles, tell me, what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?"

Harry looked surprised, "oh, well-"

But he was saved by the cry of an owl, Rosalyn recognised the cry. Molly looked out the window and addressed the situation. "Oh, that'll be Errol with the post," the owl swooped low, but, instead of going through the open side of the window, he smashed into the closed side.

"Oh, fetch what he's carrying will you Percy?"

Percy Weasley got up from the table and went to get the post. He opened the envelope in Errol's beak and said. "Oh look it's our Hogwarts letters, they've sent us yours too Harry, Dumbledore must know you're here."

"Doesn't miss a trick that man," Arthur noted.

Percy handed the letters round to all his siblings and then got to Rosalyn. She immediately unfolded it and read the neatly written letter.

Second year students will require:
The Standard Book of Spells Grade 2 by Miranda Goshawk
Break with a Banshee by Gilderoy Lockhart
Gadding with Ghouls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Holidays with Hags by Gilderoy Lockhart
Travels with Trolls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Voyages with Vampires by Gilderoy Lockhart
Wanderings with Werewolves by Gilderoy Lockhart
Year with a Yeti by Gilderoy Lockhart

All of Gilderoy Lockhart's books! That would be expensive.

"This lot won't come cheap, mum," Fred said, almost like he was reading her mind.

"We'll manage, we'll manage," Molly said, turning to all the children, hers or not, infront of her. "Well, there's only one place that we're going to get all of this," she said. "Diagon Alley."

Twenty minutes later, once everyone had dressed and washed, the whole Weasley family plus Harry and Rosalyn were lined up in front of the fire.

"You go first Harry dear," Molly said, holding out a flowerpot of floo power.

Harry looked confused and Rosalyn said to Molly. "Harry's never travelled by floo power before, Molly," her adoptive mother nodded.

Molly said, "Okay, okay, Ron, you go, then Rosalyn you can go with Harry, that way he won't get lost."

Ron sighed and took a handful of powder from the flowerpot. He then stepped into the fire and dropped the floo powder. He yelled, clearly and concisely, "Diagon Alley!" He disappeared into green flames. Harry's eyes widened.

Molly said. "See, it's quite easy dear, come on, come on, you can go with Rosalyn, there's nothing to be afraid of, yes, in you got, mind you're head, now, which one of you is doing the floo powder?"

Rosalyn and Harry looked at each other, "I'll do it," Harry said. "You've probably done it enough in your life anyway," Rosalyn laughed.

Harry took the floo powder and his sister took his hand, he dropped the powder, saying, "diagonally!" They disappeared into the green flames. If Rosalyn didn't know not to open her mouth, she would have cursed her brother, but he didn't know, and she did.

The Potter twins got spewed out of a fire that was definitely not in Diagon Alley. They were covered in ash and soot, Harry sat up and put his glasses on, realising that they had cracked pretty badly on the journey. Nothing had broken on Rosalyn's side of the transportation, but she to was caked in black dust.

"Harry you idiot, you had to speak clearly, now we're in only Godric knows where because of you!" Rosalyn exclaimed, Harry sighed.

"Well, I didn't know that! I'm sure we're not far away from Diagon Alley, come on-"

But she stopped when she saw what was around them. She and Harry helped each other up and dusted down eachother's backs before looking around them.

It was a shop alright, but it was definitely dodgy. There were skulls in glass boxes on the walls, weird mirrors and a hand that Harry took and interest in.

It was black and shriveled, and Harry touched it warily.

"Harry, get away from that hand," Rosalyn warned, Harry was going to do that when it gripped him he wrestled with it but it was relentless and strong.

"Harry, get it off you!" Rosalyn winced at the sound her brother was making.

She ran to him and pulled the hand off him. It wasn't easy, but they eventually managed to do it.

"Did it hurt?" Rosalyn asked.

"No, it's fine."

But then they heard a voice.

"Come along Draco, I need to make a stop here."

Rosalyn and Harry just made it inside a small wardrobe in the corner of the room before Lucius Malfoy entered the shop, his pompous son right beside him.

Draco walked in and immediately touched the first interesting thing he saw, Lucius, however, was quick to put his cane on his son's hand.

"Don't touch anything Draco."

And soon, another voice joined the conversation. "Mr Malfoy, it's a pleasure to see you, and young Master Malfoy, as well. I must say you're just in the right day, today we have-"

"I'm not buying today, Borgin, I'm selling."

"Selling?" Harry mouthed to Rosalyn who shrugged.

"Selling?" Borgin seemed confused as well.

"Draco," Malfoy called, then he spoke to Borgin quietly, but Rosalyn could still hear him. "You are aware no doubt, that the Ministry is conducting full raids on private houses. Well, I have a few items that... could not be found in my possession if my house were to be raided, so I'm selling them to you."

They took a few minutes to go through the stuff, and Rosalyn was extremely worried that someone was going to open the wardrobe door, but their hiding place stayed so, and eventually, they heard the voice of Lucius Malfoy bidding good bye. "I might be back soon, with some more stuff, but good day for now," and the door was closed.

Rosalyn heard Borgin go to the back of the shop, and she opened the wardrobe a crack to see if this was true, and it was, she whispered to Harry. "Let's get out of here," he nodded and the two of them quickly crept out the shop.

Once they were outside, Rosalyn realised exactly where they were.

"We're in Knocturn Alley!" She whispered to Harry.

"Knockwhat Alley?"

She sighed and explained. "Knocturn Alley is a bad place, where dark witches and wizards do their shopping, but, good news is, Diagon Alley is just there." She pointed up an alleyway to a sign that said Diagon Alley one way and Knocturn Alley the other. Rosalyn and Harry made to go that way, but they were stopped by a dodgy looking witch.

"Not lost are you dearies?"

"We're fine, thanks," Rosalyn said, voice shaky.

They tried to walk up another alley but about four witches and wizards stopped them, they all looked menacing.

"Come with us, we'll help you find your way back," the persuasive witch said.

"No, now we really must go-"

"No, please-"

"We have to-"

"Rosalyn, Harry? What're you doin down here?"

Rosalyn breathed again. Hagrid was standing at the top of the alley. All the witches and wizards, suddenly threatened by this giant, made a path from the twins to Hagrid.

"Come on, you two!"

Harry and Rosalyn didn't hesitate to sprint up to Hagrid. Together they walked back to where they ere meant to be, and on the way, Hagrid reprimanded them.

"You're a mess, skulkin' round Knocturn Alley, people'll think you're up to no good!"

"I figured that," Rosalyn said, but then she thought of something. "Hang on, what were you doing down there, then?"

"Me?" Hagrid seemed quite surprised that she had figured this one out. "Oh, I was lookin' for flesh-eating slug repellent, they're ruinin' the school cabbages."

They walked in a comfortable silence from then on, and Rosalyn didn't mind that, but she kept thinking about Lucius Malfoy in the shop, selling his possessions, and the house elf showing up to both her and Harry's bedrooms, were all the events connected? She didn't know.

But she was going to find out.
