Blinking away the dark, I opened my eyes to a truly beautiful feeling. I was in the sun, yet watching the Sealife swim above us as if not bothered by our being here. I could've sworn as I was dreaming, but I felt a breeze move the grass of the Sunny past my head, seeing Usopp walk briskly to my side, checking on me.
I sat up, spooking him slightly, as we both stood, and I noticed everyone including myself was watching the surroundings with jaws to the floor.
"It's amazing..." I said to Usopp, who looked at me and nodded slowly.
When I tried to walk towards Robin, who I'd just spotted, I only then noticed how our ship was sideways. I shakily walked over to her as she looked almost straight into the light.
"Light? This deep in the Sea?" She asked, knowing I had stepped next to her.
"It's too bright! My eyes are dazzled! But I don't have eyes to be dazzled!" Brook said as the sun went straight through his skull.
"Hey, guys! Come here!" I heard Luffy from across the ship, near the masthead. Robin and I walked toward where we heard his voice, "Look at that!"
I heard Chopper yell about it being too bright as we ascended the stairs. I saw him pointing as Zoro came up the stairs behind me.
"Hey Nami, is that it?" [Luffy]
"Yeah, there's no doubt. The needle is pointing at the island! That is Fishman Island!" [Nami]
In the distance, given a glowing rainbow feeling by the sun was a bubble with distinct towns written inside, with wildlife plants and animals surrounding it, acting as if it wasn't even there. My jaw hit the floor when my sights landed on it.
"It's huge!" [Luffy]
"It's in a bubble?" [(Y/N)]
"There are no clouds, maybe there's air inside?" [Usopp]
"That's the Fishman island, so we're 10,000 meters deep now!" I felt my stomach turn as Franky said that, and Zoro gave me a confused look.
'So now I've been 10,000 meters up, and 10,000 meters down. I just hope the down is a smoother ride.'
I leaned on Zoro's shoulder and sighed, and I felt him tense up, "10,000...meters..."
"We'll be fine." He sighed, seemingly annoyed with my whining.
The ship shook slightly and Sunny was lifted, as I just noticed that Surume was still with us.
I tilted my head off Zoro's shoulder and looked to Luffy, who looked like he was about to pop from excitement.
"Yeah! We made it" [Luffy]
"So they made it there?" I heard a voice I didn't recognize. Zoro looked at the same place I did, which was the barrel next to us, shaking with an evil laughter. Zoro hit the barrel and we heard a yelp.
Out of all of us, Franky, Luffy, and Sanji were the most excited, all for their own reasons. Some reasons better than others...
"The Mermaids dance around here... the beautiful mermaids... I'm finally here! The paradise that I've been dreaming of since I was a kid!" [Sanji]
Usopp and Chopper shut him down quickly, however, saying he's not ready. As they said that, Sanji flew onto his back with another nosebleed, holding the pictures that wee around his sash tightly.
They were all being really dramatic, almost like a movie, like he was dying or something.
I walked away from where I was near Franky and went to Nami.
"Luffy, can you wipe your drool and give an order to Surume? Let's look for the entrance." She asked as I walked up, hitting Luffy's shoulder, who was busy thinking about Fishman Island's food.
"Hey! What are they?!" I heard Franky say from my right and pointed, as I saw a shadow cover the Sunny's deck.
I looked up and saw probably the worst thing I should be seeing at the bottom of the ocean.
Sea Kings.
I grabbed Nami's shoulders and went behind her, shaking like a leaf, "S-S-Sea..!"
If anyone's forgotten, I hate Sea Kings. Hate them. Who wouldn't be scared of a giant animal who could swallow you whole? Not to mention I am helpless in water, which is the thing they thrive in. The thought of it makes me shudder. Plus they look gross.
Brook, Usopp, Chopper, Nami, and me were all scared, whining.
"We're dead! And we just made it here, too!" [Usopp]
The longer I studied the horrendous things, I noticed something on the back of a few of them. I tapped Nami's shoulder and pointed, and she looked, then gasped, "Guys, Look!"
She pointed the same way towards a man on the neck of the giraffe looking one.
"Somebody's riding it!" [Luffy]
"Why are you obeying such fools as humans... Kraken?" [???]
My fear grew in hat moment, as another voice I didn't recognize spoke up. I also took notice of how petrified Surume looked. More scared than I.
All of a sudden, out ship was dropped, and I glanced back for a second to see Surume running, tentacles in the air, practically crying?
Luffy yelled after Surume as the ship fell to the ground. I was still behind Nami, and she wasn't ready for the fall. I wrapped an arm around her waist, my hand on her hip, and made a handle of wood from the ship, holding her and I close as we collided with the ground.
I closed my eyes when we hit, so when I opened them to see us surrounded by Sea monsters, I cried.
"AH! WE'RE SURROUNDED!" [(Y/N)]
"EH?!" [Chopper, Nami, Brook, Usopp]
"You guys are the Straw Hats, aren't you?" [???]
The same voice from before spoke. I let go of Nami's waist when I realized she had her arms wrapped around my torso.
When I let go, she quietly gasped and yanked her hands away, holding her slightly pink face and looking towards the Sea Monsters.
"Who are you? How do you know about us?" [Luffy]
"Yes, I know you all very well... You are the ones who foiled the plans of The Arlong Pirates." [???]
'Arlong... Pirates? I don't recall the name, but it seems a few people do.'
Nami, Zoro, Luffy, Usopp, and I think Sanji, all had an irked expression on their faces. Either shocked or angry, while everyone else, including me, had confused faces. I was at the bottom of the stairs, with Luffy and Nami a ways behind me, and Zoro at the top of the stairs in front of me.
"That act was easy enough to understand. But then two years ago, you stood up for Hachi-san, the officer of the Arlong Pirates... and knocked out one of the hateful Celestial Dragons!" [???]
'Oh, Hachi- Wait! Is that the group who hurt Nami?!'
I glanced towards Nami, who had an angry expression, then looked back at the monsters. I don't know the whole story, as she hasn't shared with me yet, but while the crew was still small and in the East Blue, someone they fought hurt Nami.
I also got a slightly angered expression on, for Nami, and the Mention of the Celestial Dragons. I don't want to think about any of them right now.
"Just like Fisher Tiger, the hero of Fishman Island, who we respect." The light moved around and I could now see the Fishman talking, along with two others at his side.
Robin and I both were shocked at the name.
"Fisher.. Tiger..." [Robin]
"Oh, that Fisher Tiger!" I recalled, remembering Hancock tell us about him. A long time ago, he freed fishman and humans who were slaves of the Celestial Dragons.
"It's hard to decide what I should do with you. So, tell me. Are you guys our enemies or not?" The same fishman spoke, "I give you an option. Do you wanna enlist under out banner, the New Fishman Pirates? Or do you refuse? If you refuse, we'll sink you."
"What did you say?" Luffy barked, and I heard Nami whispering to Franky. I think she's planning on escaping.
After some quiet yelling, I hear Usopp say something about fueling up, and I can already piece together her plan.
She's gonna shoot the ship through the bubble of Fishman island, using all the air so when we get inside, we can breathe the air inside the bubble. The only problem with that is if we miss or don't make it, we could easily die
I heard everyone moving sails around, but I kept my eyes on these guys. I was just surprised on how they got the Sea Monsters to do what they said. It blew my mind. Weren't these things known for being hard to handle? Only experienced people can actually tame one.
As I watched the three fishman talk amongst themselves, there was a pink octopus with long thick braids as hair, drinking from a bottle of some kind of alcohol, clearly looking to be drunk, and a sword on his hip. The main one, a yellow fish I couldn't pinpoint with a long nose and sharp teeth, wearing a pirate's outfit was studying us with an evil smirk. I think he thinks he has the upper hand. He then got ready to speak.
"So, will you work under us, Straw Hat Luffy?" He called, and I turned to Luffy.
'Shit, he won't like that.'
I turned to see him slightly looking down, but smirking. He looked up with a shit-eating grin, "No way! Stupid!"
"You refused... the offer to join the New Fishman Pirates!" The Yellow Fishman said, his friends seeming just as shocked as he was. He got an evil smirk, "Then you are our enemies! Just sinful human beings!"
Now Sanji and Zoro were standing near the helm with Franky, and I was at the top of the stairs.
"Bleah! Why should we work under you?!" Luffy hooked his fingers on the corners of his mouth and stretched his mouth open with an annoyed expression, as Chopper whined for him to not aggravate the Fishmen.
"It's a shame. Then we can't let you pass through here." The yellow Fishman said, still smirking, "This is where we sink you!"
I wasn't exactly scared, until he yelled, "Sea Lion!", and the Sea Monster resembling a lion, let out a large roar and dove towards us. I covered my eyes with my hands, though opened my fingers slightly. I just couldn't look away, no matter ho badly I wanted to.
"Sink them!" [Yellow Fishman]
"Wanna fight?!" [Luffy]
"Go, Franky!" [Nami]
"The Sunny is a lion, too! Let's fight someday, Sea Lion!" [Franky]
"Here we go! Coup de Burst!" [Franky]
The sensation of taking off and being shoved to the ground by the bubble was strange, to say the least. It was like being covered by multiple weighted blankets, and someone just keeps adding more.
"W-Were loosing oxygen..!" I barely mumbled out to the three who were near me, which were Franky, Zoro, and Sanji.
I heard Nami yell something about enduring it, and that's what we did. Franky and Sanji stood up as best they could, and because of Franky's large stature, I was given slight breathing room, as Franky yelled about nearing the bubble, and Sanji yelled something about mermaids.
I felt the impact, which for the two forces being bubbles, gave me a shock, as I felt the bubble around our ship pop in fragments, and I was able to breathe freely again.
Luffy yelled that the coating got caught on the outer shell of Fishman island as I stood, balancing myself as we were still flying fast.
"Look ahead! What is that?!" Brook yelled, and we all did, just to see a darker bubble inside the one we crossed.
"The bubble here is a double structure! Normal ships will fall in this area because there is only air!" Robin yelled.
Franky stumbled towards the helm and placed his giant hands firmly, "We're going to run into one more bubble! Hold on tight!"
Sanji pulled me by the back of my shirt and saved room for me on the railing to hold onto, next to Zoro and himself.
I wrapped both arms around the railing and closed my eyes as tight as I could as I braced for impact.
This impact was harder than I expected, and I only knew why when I heard Zoro.
"Water?!"
Before I could ask or even look, I was flooded with the cold, shocking sensation of water running all over my body, as my grip loosened on the railing and my mind slipped away.
Before I completely lost the sense of where I was, I felt my feet leave the ship and someone's arms wrap rightly over my arms and around my torso.
~~Later, somewhere else~~
"Oh! Camie! It's been a while!" [Luffy]
"You've gotten prettier, Camie-chan!" [Sanji]
"Yeah! Long time no see! I'm glad to see you again!" [Camie]
"Camie is here– that means... We landed on Fishman Island?!" [Luffy]
"Yeah, we did! I've been told that we were drowning, and some mermaids saved us!" [Chopper]
"That's right. As a matter a fact, we just woke up a few minutes ago." [Usopp]
"This is Camie-chan's house. Here's your hat." [Sanji]
"Oh, so this is Camie's house." [Luffy]
"I'm sorry! I was going to pick you guys up, but I thought it was a month later!" [Camie]
"Don't worry! Where are the others?" [Luffy]
"Well... it looks like we got separated." [Chopper]
"I wonder if they're okay..." [Chopper]

I blinked away some Sea water as I squinted at the bright blue light, brighter than before, feeling the heated surface on my back-
'Wait, surface? Weren't we- well, drowning?'
I sat up and took a look around, seeing I was lying on a blue-ish colored ground, seeing no water around me. It was coral, but some were big enough to describe this as a forest! It was so beautiful, but when I was looking, I noticed a few things missing. 9 things to be exact.
"Damn!" [???]
...8, that is...
I stood up and sighed, turning to see Zoro facing the opposite direction, with no other crewmates in sight.
"They all look the same! If doesn't feel like I've advanced even a little!" he groaned, shielding his eyes with one hand and looking around, his other hand on the hilt of his swords.
I walked up beside him and crossed my arms, "Knowing you, you probably haven't," I obviously startled him, but he tried to make sure I didn't notice. I sighed, "You're lucky I'm here, otherwise you'd never find Sanji and the others."
I turned towards a large looking coral and examined it as Zoro tsked behind me, "Stupid Curly brows... why would we wanna find him?"
"Oh, is someone jealous?" I teased, half caring, as I noticed something interesting on the tree. I stood back up only to see Zoro's head over my shoulder, as he leaned his head down over my shoulder and tried finding what I was looking at.
"What are you looking for? These all look the same." he said in a low, almost softer tone and my face went slightly pink.
I put my hand on his face and shoved his head back up, "Don't act so tall around me. You grew a couple inches, so what?" I said, a slight stutter in my words.
Oh, how I should never have let those words pass my lips.
"Oh? Now Number 2's jealous?" He teased, and I could feel his confidence from here.
I was going to say something back, but when I turned around, our faces were very close, as he had a smirk he wasn't trying to hide, as he was leaning down again.
He was looking dead into my eyes, and the contact made me nervous. I covered my face and turned around, pointing near the roots of the tree, "J-Just shut up and look!" I pointed at the only thing in this forest that wasn't blue or purple, or some shade of that kind.
He knelt down next to me, "What is it?"
"I'm assuming the moss of Fishman island." I said, squatting next to him and pulling a small piece of the Moss off. If felt exactly like normal moss, the only difference was the color. It was a pale pink, almost like a common sea shell, or cotton candy.
I turned my head towards him, I won't explain my whole thought process, but I bet the artificial light illuminates the city, so it must be close to it, and this moss is facing the light, so I'd say the safest bet to get towards a town is to follow this moss." I stood, dropping the moss.
He stood and nodded, an actual look of contempt, "I think I can follow."
"Good, let's go." I said, walking in the direction, before spinning around and grabbing his wrist, as I realized he was going (if we are going off normal moss rules) east rather than north.
I obviously wouldn't let him know this, but it made me happy that one of the head-strong crewmembers on our ship actually tried to listen to me. Him listening and comprehending put a cheerful smile on my face.
After my small thought process, I felt our hands now switch, and he was holding my wrist, stopping us from going further.
I was about to question him, when I saw his eyes looking slightly behind him, and I quickly glanced to se, guards?
'Huh? Some form of Guards here? Are they with the fishmen from before?'
Before I knew it, more guards had come out, and surrounded us before I even expected it.
They were pointing tridents at us, and were all dressed in the same armor.
"Are you Red Wood (Y/N) and Pirate Hunter Zoro from the Straw Hats?" One guard spoke in a strict tone.
Zoro used he hand that wasn't holding my wrist and put it onto the handle of his white sword, "Yeah, so what?"
One man slid his foot closer, and another tightened his grip on his trident and Zoro let go of my hand, noticing that I caught on to what was happening, the fishman who spoke disarmed his trident, setting it standing up next to him, "We do not come seeking a fight."
I lowered my guard slightly and Zoro tsked, "Then what's with the weapons?"
"You're bounties precede you, both having bounties over 100 million berries." The man said, pulling out some papers as he looked at them, before looking back at us, "The ruler of Fishman island, King Neptune, has invited you to the Ryugu Palace."
Before Zoro said anything, I slammed my hand over his mouth, "The ruler, it's an honor. We'd love to go if you'd show us the way!" I cooed in a sweet voice, and I heard a shift in stature of some of the guards.
"O-Of course. Please, follow us." The main main stuttered, his strict tone now lighter than before as I puled Zoro's hand as we walked in the direction Zoro and I were about to walk.
He was kind of behind me, and he leaned into my ear, his guard still obviously up, "Why'd you say yes?" He seemed more curious than upset.
"One, they're taking us to a city and out of this forest, Two, if they're looking for the Straw Hats, the rest of our crew might be there, and Three, the ruler invited us. Might as well be on good terms with the king. It will also be nice to know where the king is if e have to resort to drastic measures." I finished, counting all the reasons on my hand. He looked away, then nodded, and we both followed the guards as I saw the forest-line.
