D: " I go here every time I miss Jake... "
L: " Wouldn't you be here your whole life then? At least if he's gone forever? "
D: " Well I guess I worded it a bit differently. I come here when I can, you will find me no where else than here and school. "
L: " Your parents don't know where you are? "
D: " Both of my Moms think I am taking a vacation with friends. "
L: " So you are living here? "
D: " Not exactly. It's just 2 and a half weeks. "
L: " You're crazy. "
D: " What are those boxes for? "
L: " Jake. "
D: " Liaaaaaaa! Telll meeee! "
L: " They're for Jake! Literally everyone in the school made cards for him, in case he comes back. "
D: " But I didn't make one? "
L: " You literally haven't been at school for the past 2 days. "
D: " Fine, I will make the prettiest one! "
L: " The prettiest card is Jake himself. "
D: " True. Hey, do you want to chill here for a while? "
L: " Yeah. I was going to anyways. Whatcha listening to? "
D: " His cringy playlist he made in 6th grade. "
L: " Woah. May I listen? "
D: " If you have earbuds, yes. I don't think he does. "
L: " I always keep my earbuds on me at all times. "
D: " Perfect, hand one over, would ya? "
L: " You don't speak the way you do at school? "
D: " I'm sorry, I just lost someone I've been friends with for 8 years. "
L: " 8!? That must be like.. 3rd grade or something! "
D: " Yeah. Though we were only small friends, we talked sometimes. We only started becoming true friends in 6th grade. "
L: " Cool. Here. "
D: " Thanks. "
L: " Wow, this is very depressing so far. "
D: " He has a few happy songs in here, most of them are sad and depressing like this. "
L: " Oh. "
D: " Anyways, we should do something. Like decorating his room or something. "
L: " Eh, his room is perfectly fine the way it is. "
D: " You're right. That's why we should make the best cards in this pile! "
L: " I've got an idea on what to do with them "
They had just put both of their ideas into one. They smirked as they both knew what was going to happen to Jake Sterlings room. Possibly Forever, or for a while.
- Hailey's POV -
S: " MILLY! "
H: " We're never going to find her. If this is happening, maybe someone is kidnapping them! "
S: " Hailey, we will find them. Let's have hope! "
He was right. I did need to have hope. But who could get all happy and cheerful when 2 of your friends went missing!? Without a coat too! I'm going to guess Milly doesn't have a coat, I don't know if she's been home yet. I just need to figure out why Milly would run off into the woods.
H: " Hey, Sean? "
S: " Yes, Hailey? "
H: " Why do you think Milly ran into these woods? "
S: " I believe it has something to do with yesterday. "
H: " What happened yesterday? "
S: " She said we should look in the woods, remember? For Jake? "
H: " Oh yeah. She is just caring for her friend. "
S: " Exactly. "
??: " It'll be okay, Milly. You're gonna be okay. It was just a little mess-up! "
H: " What's that? "
S: " SHH. Just. Listen. "
M: " Yes, but no I messed up badly. I just did it without thinking! "
??: " Hey, don't be so hard on yourself! "
M: " I can't help it, Jake! It's been like this for years! "
J: " I know, I know. I know what you're going through! We can get through this together! "
M: " No, No! We can't! I'm already shattered into a billion pieces! "
J: " Don't let that stop you from repairing yourself. "
M: " But I have to work so damn hard to get back to how it was before! "
J: " You always have to try. Life is war. "

M: " Looking for Jake.. but there is quite a lot of snow. "
S: " Why did we hear Jake? "
M: " I found a video of us 2 I accidentally recorded. It was really clean surprisingly. I just miss him okay? "
H: " He cheered you up one time? "
M: " Many times actually. I miss B_tch Boy! "
S: " We all do. But we missed YOU too. "
M: " Sorry. "
S: " What is THAT over there? "
M: " That is leaning towards the shallow part of the woods, it's close but not too close. Probably a half a mile away from town. "
S: " Half a mile already? What time is it? "
M: " 2:49. "
S: " We won't make it back to school. "
H: " Guys. That looks like Jake's backpack. It's facing down like someone is currently wearing it. "
M: " Well let's go check it out! "
H: " Jake..? "
S: " Jake is that you? Are you okay? "
M: " Nope. Just a Jake backpack. With all of his belongings in it. "
H: " Let's take it back to mine and look at it, then we can hopefully take it to his Mom. "
- At The Wickham/Austin House -
Z: " What trash in that bag you brought home? "
H: " It's Jake's backpack. "
Z: " What!? Did you find it in the dumpster or something? I bet Jake was there too. "
M: " Actually- it was in the woods! I am a hero, definitely. "
S: " Sure you are. You were the one to suggest going into the woods in the first place. "
Z: " I told you guys specifically NOT to go into them! "
M: " Bruh. How else are we gonna find Jake? The woods are the most obvious place he would be in. Or anybody really! "
H: " That's true. But even so, we didn't find him. Only Milly. "
L: " Which by the way, come here Milly. "
M: " Yeah? Whatcha need? "
L: " A. Hug. "
M: " It was only a few hours. "
Z: " There is snow outside and there is probably going to be a big storm. "
H: " Well according to the news on my phone, the snow will slow down. So hopefully we could return this backpack and Jake will be okay. "
S: " Have you guys ever got it into consideration that he may be in someone's home? Like Drews or something. "
H: " Ya know, based on his recent situation, he probably is at Drew's. "
S: " Who's all in favor of going over there? "
Z: " No one! No one is going to that sh_tty house! "
L: " I'll go. "
M: " Yeah me too. "
H: " See, Zander? People are going. Okay, you guys can go, Zander, Sean, and I will stay here. Sean and Zander can go look for Jake some more, I will look in the backpack. "
Z: " F_ck you. Let's go Sean. "
S: " See you guys later! "
L: " Well I guess that's us too, bye!! "
M: " Later, Dudes! "
H: " Bye guys. "
Well they're gone now. Now it's time to check what's in this backpack. Cheez-itz, PE shirt, notebooks, money, ID, pencils, his backpack is surprisingly organized. I mean it obviously went through hell with all that snow and animals. Okay, I should probably check his pockets too. His top pocket just has a sharpie and a pencil, pencil eraser, pencil sharpener in it. In his side pocket he has destroyed candy wrappers. His front pocket is padded. Like it was meant to survive situations like this. It had a note in it. A note for... Me?
The Note:
Hailey,
I am dearly sorry for what I said, but before you throw this letter away, I just want you to hear me out... please. I just wanted to explain what happened that night. I don't expect you to let me back in the club or even forgive me. I just owe you an apology. I was manipulated to say those things by Drew, Zoey, Lia, Liam, and Henry. They got into my head and said all these things about you guys using me. Clearly, since they had just spilled all this fake information on me now, I believed them. I stood up for you once, but that didn't stop them from trying to get me on your bad side. I was overloaded with silly information and I kinda said all of those things about you and the club. They recorded me saying it. A normal conversation wouldn't be recorded like that, which is why I need you to believe me on this. If it had just been a normal conversation without all the manipulation, it wouldn't have been recorded. So saying this, I am sorry. Deeply. I am also sorry for making you snap earlier, it wasn't my intention. If you read it all through, thanks for listening. I love the club like my own family, but it's okay if you don't believe me or let me back in. I just wanted to apologize.

So I was right. Though if he probably gave it to me then, I probably would have thrown the letter away like it said I shouldn't. Even if I had read it, I probably wouldn't have believed him. I wish I would have done something different. I wish I would have realized it then and let him explain. I wish I wasn't so harsh. I realize now that this is MY fault. I'm so sorry Jake.
