"GET OUT NOW! I WANT EVERYBODY OUT OF THIS FACILITY RIGHT NOW!" Fintan's voice screamed from the hallway. Footsteps echoed past Sophie, Grady, and Brenne's door.
"Whats going on out there?" Grady asked as he paced the room. He had hardly stopped for the whole day. Sophie had woken up from her trip about a day ago but everything seemed to quiet down. It was like all the Neverseens radars were scrambled and fuzzy. She wondered if Dex and her friends were up to something...
No... They couldent help her at this point unless they get this cursed circlet off her. She could feel the enhanced control buzzing behind her scull, reminding her it was there. She groaned as a buzzer suddenly echoed through the hall, not helping her pounding headache.
"That buzzer only goes off if..." But Brenne stopped mid sentence. He jumped up quickly and grabbed Sophie's arm, helping her off the floor. Grady was next to them in an instant. "What? Whats happening?" He asked frantically.
"This base has to be under attack!" Brenne said quickly and dragged them towards the door. He pounded at it, trying to tell someone they were in there. The door swung open and Alvar grabbed Sophie and Brenne's wrists. He was mumbling angerly..."Stupid idiots! 3 basses! 3!... Of course they figured it out! Idiots!"
"Wait what!?" Grady said stomping up behind them.
"Shut up!" Alvar shouted, dragging them down another turn.
"Whats going on!?" Sophie asked firmly, practically screaming at him. Alvar's angry expression flickered to a look of pure irritation and frustration. "Your little band of super freaks have been DEMANDING to see you three and have finally kicked up the last straw!" He yelled back and moved faster, jerking her and Brenne harder than necessary. He slammed Brenne into a wall so hard that you could hear a faint crack.
Brenne groaned.
"Stop, you'll hurt him!" Sophie shouted.
Alvar just scoffed and kept marching. Finally Alvar threw them into a big room with everyone in it. A small device was set into the ceiling. Brenne stumbled forward dizzily, still dazed, probably concussed. Grady quickly lunged and grabbed him gently, leading him back over to where Sophie was. Gethen snatched Sophie back and Alvar did the same with Grady, snapping his arms behind him. Fintan grabbed Brenne in an iron hold. Gisela was also there, waiting. Alina and Vespera entered a few minutes later with Trix and Ruy on their tails.
"There had better be a good explanation for this!" Vespera growled.
Gisela cleared her throat angerly, "It seems My son and his friends were not planning on waiting for us to decide when to bring these three back," She said, gesturing to Sophie, Grady, and Brenne, "and have made that abundantly clear. They have officially seized three of out hideouts, their are Dwarves and strangely, trolls, storming those bases right now. I have a plan to distract them though. If we play it out right we may even be able to finish the third step to stelarlune." Gisela said.
"Well then what are we waiting for? It seems we have already been invited." Alina said smugly with a grin, pulling on her hood. Gisela reached up for the device in the ceiling Gethen pulled Sophie next to him, " You are going to do exactly as I say got it? If you dont I wont hesitate to hurt anyone and everyone you love tonight, got it?" He hissed into her ear. Usually threats like this were empty, only meant to scare her...
but Gethen was dead serious.
She nodded slightly, a tear tracing down her face. What if he made her hurt them?...
She was petrified... Her echo stirred at this, soaking up all the fear it could. trying to escape its prison. her head pounded hard from its struggle and she could barely pull her concentration together before a light whisked them away...

The eerie silence washed over her as they trudged over the silvery grass. as soon as they made it over the first hill she saw her friends. Finally she could see them...
They were there...
They were trying to save her...
"Do not lose hope Sophie Foster..." The voice spoke again.
Brenne groaned and Grady gasped slightly when he saw her friend's. The closer they got the harder he struggled against Alvar. He jerked around, trying to escape him. Ruy was over there in an instant when Grady had started to break away and they held him fast. She finally looked over her friend's...
Dex's sad eyes...
Fitz's brewing hatred...
Biana's climbing worry...
Tam's quiet anger...
Linh's waiting concern...
Wylie's bouncing adrenaline...
A few more people were there as well. Maruca, Marella, Stina, A young women Sophie didn't recognize.
But then she Locked eyes with Keefe...
They started into each others eyes. His were already watering, glassing over with furious tears. His fists were balled and his lips were pressed into a tight line. He was ready to get her out of there. But...
Would their plan really work?...
"So mommy dearest, Did you get our little present?" He asked smugly, his face quickly twisting into a confident grin. he seemed to be telling her, We've got this!
Sophie doubted they did...
"If you call a threat a present then yes we did. Would you like one in return?" Gisela snapped back.
"Ehh, no thanks, I think I'm all good on threats for, i dont know, the rest of my life." He said smugly. Alina scoffed, "He really dose sound like you Gisela." She said with a dark laugh.
Gisela glared at her. Brenne groaned again. Sophie broke away from her friend's gaze as fast as lightning and saw him slumping in Fintan's grip. "Please let me see him." Sophie said in a small voice. Gethen growled with frustration but threw her out of his arms. She jumped over to him and took him from Fintan, who gave her a very unsettling look before he let go, smirking. She propped Brenne up so he could see her, at least she was pretty sure he could but It was hard to tell with his hood up. "are you okay?" She asked him.
He hissed in pain and cupped his hand onto a spot on his head, "I'll live..." He gritted out.
"Glimmer... I must say I wasn't expecting you to reveal yourself my dear. or should I call you Rayni?" Gisela said in her much to cheerful voice. The girl Sophie didn't recognize, Glimmer no, Rayni, stiffened, "I realized I was on the wrong side before and decided to fix it." She said.
"To bad you were wrong." Vespera retorted.
"Lets get to the point, yes?" Alvar asked, clearly annoyed. Grady snarled at him and jerked again but was quickly sat back up.
"Stop it Alvar!" Fitz snapped. He looked at Sophie with concern in his eyes, clearly asking, Are you okay?
She just shook her head.
Fintan laughed slightly. a maniacal grin on his face as he started off into space. "I see you have the Pyromaniac with you." Keefe said.
Fintan's head snapped up and he glared, "Keep talking Sencen... keep talking..." he said, seeming oddly distant... almost threatening. Marella must have caught his tone, "Don't even try anything Fintan, I'm ready to counter your attacks any second." She said, lighting her finger for added affect.
"I'm sure you are..." He said with an all to familiar smirk. Oh no...
Her enhancing...
Before she could squeak one word out Fintan grabbed her and cupped a hand right over her mouth. "Can't have you spoiling the surprise now can we?" He said. His voice echoed through her head, sending her fear spiraling through her again.
Keefe's gaze locked with hers again, she hoped he could feel her desperation and fear. she hoped it was enough to scare him away... but if anything it seemed to make him even more determined. Stubborn Idiot.
the fog started solidifying again, pulling into its usually chains, it puppet strings. Her and Grady's ethertine sparkled and brightened slightly. She could only manage a squeak in Fintan's steely grip but Grady thrashed again, trying to stop it. Tam's eyes widened in realization when they both tensed. "Guy's..." He started but they had already noticed. Alvar and Ruy let go of Grady and Fintan let go of Sophie, snatching her hand. She watched inside herself as the ethertine took control.
"Like I said... Lets get to the point." Alvar said with a smirk. Tears started falling off Grady's cheeks as he stood against his will. Her friends eyes suddenly grew wide as saucers as the cold realization set in.
"Get them" Alvar said.
The words echoed across the silver landscape. Elysium itself seemed to be holding its breath...
It was the simplest command, only two words...
and yet it carried a whole tone of power with it.
Icy fear stabbed through her, grasping for her throat, threatening her eyes with cold tears.
Sophie watched in horror as Grady lunged straight for Keefe....
HEY GUYS! Ok so i just wanted to say that I am sooooo sorry for not posting in so long! I am so so sorry about that but life comes up you know? Sadly I will not be able to post this coming weekend either so more late updates (Yayyy)
