Rinni's POV
I charged ahead, wanting to help out, but I was flung off with a shockwave. I used my arms to stop myself. I looked up to see Gigantomachia, with the rest of the league on his back. Dabi, or should I say Touya began his speech and I barely paid attention to it. Right now priority was helping the injured with the short time of no fighting. I ran to where Mr. Aizawa was and saw he was a little bit okay. I transformed my hands back to normal. The pain wasn't that bad but it was there. The markings began to spread to my neck and chest, but it doesn't matter right now. I knelt next to Manual, one of the pros who were helping Mr. Aizawa
"Damn it, I need a fire. Bandaging the leg can only go so far. We need to cauterize his wound so the bleeding stops. Before any of you say anything I have done this before with a friend of mine."
Looking around I saw some wood that was still burning. I quickly grabbed the unburned part of the wood and brought it to them. I then grabbed the knife Mr. Aizawa had earlier. I heated up the knife as I asked the pros to roll up his torn pants so I could get access to the wound. I also asked them to unwrap his wound.
"This is gonna hurt but it's for the best."
Before anyone can say anything I pressed the red hot knife on Eraserhead's wound. I did my best to cauterize it. Once it was done I bandaged the wound and got up as I heard the screeching of nomus. I looked behind me and saw a lot of nomus heading our direction as Machia was struggling to break free, I looked at the pros and they just gave me a nod, with that I stood up and ran into the fight. Running up a tilted pillar I transformed my arms before jumping off and hitting a nomu right on its head.
Focus.
You may be a bit rusty but you have trained for this Rinni, you will continue to train for moments like this. I spread my arms out wide before spinning, hitting multiple nomus with the blades. I know I'm not really doing much but if it helps then it helps. The efforts of those who were able to fight were not in vain, we managed to take down some of the nomus, and Gigantomachia was knocked unconscious. I ran to aid the rest in fighting the rock nomu. I would send slashes, while Togata was busy throwing kicks and punches at it.
Hado sent waves of energy in the nomu's way. I transformed my arms to its devour mode and let them bite into the nomu's arm. I either hold it down or cause enough damage to distract, priority is holding down though. I used my strength to tug on its arm to stop an incoming attack on Hado, and she retaliated by sending a direct blast at the nomu. It soon broke free as Mr. Compress was starting to run away. Most of the team was chasing after them while I had, what seemed to be, an angry nomu.
"You damned monster! Stop playing around!" I heard Bakugo's voice say
"You want a monster... I'll show you one..." I said smirking
Taking a deep breath and charged while thinking of that moment I was trapped in Lily's damned boat. I was flung to a building, giving a physical reminder of what happened then. Soon enough I felt something snap inside me before I felt like I was disassociating from myself. I felt that I began growling and the black-maroonish mass on my arms began to grow to my shoulders. Without another second of hesitation, I used my arms to launch myself forward and run. I would use my arms to go faster as I ran, trying to catch up to the escaping villains.
I sent a slash to Shigaraki once I was closer, and Izuku sent black whip at him. A nomu was able to block my attack against the big bad before throwing me headfirst into a large amount of debris which was unstable, causing it to collapse on me. I don't know what happened next because when I woke up I was in the hospital. I looked around to see an empty room. Well, I did notice something, my eyesight was somewhat blurry when I looked at father things. Before anyone asks, no I'm not far-sighted, it's just a matter of my retina degrading. Must have had some bad damage if this was to happen.
The door opens, causing me to look in its direction. There stood Ochako, Tenya, and Momo. I faintly smiled at them and gave them a slight wave with my best abilities. Momo was the first to react and quickly called for a doctor while Tenya and Ochako ran inside and gave me a tight hug. I hugged them back and patted their backs. After some checks from the doctor I was cleared to leave in a couple of hours, when I was able to, I visited those who I could visit. I tried to visit Izuku but apparently, we weren't allowed inside. I frowned at that, Tenya and Ochako then decided that we should visit Shoto. Opening the door I saw him wrapped in bandages.
"Hey mummy man, how are ya?" I said in a joking tone
"Rinni... you're up"
"And standing. You didn't answer my question, how are ya?"
"I... feel confused."
"Hm... Hey Tenya, Ochako, mind leaving me and Sho here alone? I have a feeling things are gonna be somewhat emotional."
With that, the two left. I then grabbed a chair and sat beside his bed.
"Let me guess, you're confused about how your brother lives when you've been told he's dead. And besides that, you're conflicted because of the spreading controversy. Am I dead on right, or not?"
"You're dead on. And you knew this would happen... You even warned us before you..."
"Disappeared? Yeah, but I don't know everything though. There are scenes that I do know and there are parts that I don't know. As much as I wanna tell you some inspirational speech or something, I can't. I mean it, I can't, so don't expect it. Quite frankly what's happening is a family matter so I have no say in it, but as it is a family matter it's something you, your mom, your siblings, and your dad to handle. Not alone, but together. I know you guys will pull through."
There was a knock on the door.
"Speaking of which, that's your siblings and mom. See ya around Shoto."
I stood up from my chair and walked out, bowing respectively to Shoto's family members as a greeting and goodbye. The door closes behind me as soon as his family walks in. I walked down the halls trying to look for Tenya and Ochako, only to find them minutes later. I see some of our classmates dragging Bakugo off. I chuckled a bit and let him be.
Some days passed and I sat in my dorm room back in UA, apparently, they placed me in the dorms too. Nice. I was reading some books before there was a knock on the door. Getting up from bed, I put on my indoor slippers and walked to the door. I opened it, only to find Tenya and Ochako outside. I opened my door wider and stepped aside, inviting them inside my room. I gestured for them to sit on the bed before I sat on my chair, facing them.
"So what brings you both here to my humble abode? Could I even call it that? Anyway, in seriousness, what's up?"
"We want to talk about what happened to you during camp." Ochako answered
"Ah, that... okay looks like I got a long explanation. Please hold your questions until then."
I spent the next hour or so telling them what happened during and after the camp was attacked. I even told them about what happened while I was in the world of walkers. Of course, afterward, there were questions to which I answered the best I could. I couldn't skip the explanation about the previous dimensions and so on, so basically I told them everything.
"I think I understand some of it now" Ochako said
"I'm glad you do. Is that all you guys are here for?" I questioned
"No. According to Midoriya and the rest, they saw this after you vanished."
He takes out a case for glasses and opens it. Inside I saw a pair of glasses that were so familiar. Looking at it closely I saw it was my glasses before I came to different dimensions.
"How?... Those... are my glasses before I was flung off from my dimension... How is it here?"
I took the case and grabbed the glasses using the cloth before observing further. Then I began to think. If occurrences or items happen within the dimensions I am in... and then it leads me to a new one... What about things that I owned before all this dimension-hopping? Will I be able to go back? Will this take me home? Or make it so that I'm one step closer to home? Well, only one way to find out...
"Guys... you're probably gonna hate me for this, but this may be the key that I need to go home to my dimension. I mean, I can't say for certain that it is, but... It's just an idea... And I know I just got back, but you guys know my main goal is to go home... I've told you guys that so many times... This is my chance.... I'm sorry..."
Ochako just cried and gave me a hug. I can't blame her, despite knowing each other for only a semester, we did become friends. I hugged her back and patted her back in a comforting way.
"You better take care of yourself alright?" Ochako said
"I will..."
"Don't be reckless." Tenya added
"I'll try not to be. No promises though. Tell the others that I'll see them another time. And remember, everyone can be heroes."
Once Ochako pulled away, I gave Tenya a quick hug, before giving a small, sad smile and a two-fingered salute before putting on my glasses. Disappearing from their sight and lives once again.
