Vladimira's P.O.V

When I had finally mustered up enough courage to call Titus, it had been exactly one week since I had taken the pregnancy test, making me approximately seven weeks pregnant.

Sighing, I pick up my phone and release a harsh breath.

Titus had given me his number on that "faithful" night and now I had to tell him about the consequences of our actions.

I close the bathroom door behind me before locking it. If my father hears this conversation, he'll be even more suspicious.

I type in Titus's number without hurry, completely dreading when he picks up.

When I finally push dial, my legs are shaking and I feel as if I'm going to throw up.

I find myself placing a hand on my stomach, a habit that I've developed over the past week.

Suddenly, the line connected and I'm met by Titus's harsh voice.

"What the hell do you want, Vladimira?" Titus growls, making me wince.

I grip my small bump tighter as I search for words. "Do you think we could um... meet up somewhere?" I ask cautiously.

Titus releases a harsh laugh. "Just because I f*cked you doesn't mean we're best friends now, Vladimira."

I hold in my gasp, tears welling up in my eyes. "I just need to talk to you," I say defeatedly.

The line is quiet for what seems like an hour before Titus replies.

"There's a quaint little cafe right on the borders of our lands. Nobody should suspect a thing," Titus says lower this time.

I smile, my hand dropping from my stomach. "Okay, I'll meet you there in an hour."

Titus gives a hum of approval before hanging up.

I look down at my stomach before patting it.

"I'll never love you, and I don't want you to grow up in a negative environment. You have to be aborted," I whisper, almost on the verge of tears.

A knock on my bedroom door jolts me out of my thoughts. I quickly walk out of my bathroom before opening the door.

My father's tall figures stares down at me, a worried expression of his face.

"Mira, I'm worried about you, you've been acting strange lately. What's wrong?" He says softly.

It took me by surprise, he was always so demanding of me, demanding me to be strong. Now that I see him like this, I notice just how concerned he is for me.

"Nothing, it isn't important," I say before turning around. My father follows me into my room, watching me gather my clothes so I can take a bath.

"Why are you lying?" My father growls out. I fiddle with the hem of my shirt, tempted to place my hand on my stomach.

Shrugging, I grab my clothes and head to the bathroom. My father stops me by placing his hands on my shoulders, his blue eyes staring into my own.

"You can tell me anything, Vladimira, I don't want you to think that you can't."

I shake his hands off my shoulders. "I can't tell you just yet," I say in frustration. My father frowns unhappily. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to take a bath."

My father doesn't move, he just narrows his eyes on me.

He doesn't like being kept in the dark, nor does he like to be told what to do.

"Please?" I ask softer. My father slowly backs out of my room, not bothering to close the door.

I sigh before closing the door. He's stubborn, just like me, and he won't stop until he knows about this child.

••

An hour later, I'm sitting at a table in the cafe drinking hot tea.

There wasn't many people in the warm, old-fashioned cafe; the cafe oddly reminds me of home.

"This building has been around for the longest," Titus's deep voice meets my ears. I suck in a breath as my hand finds my stomach beneath my cardigan.

Looking up, I see the man that helped put me in this mess. He looked the same, except for a little stubble on his chin.

He looks even better, I think lustfully. I scold myself quickly.

Titus's muscles tighten. "You're lucky I came at all. After that little scam you pulled, I don't think I can trust you."

Something inside of me squeezes, a discomforting feeling that I blame on the child growing inside of me.

"Look, you have to understand that it was necessary," I glance around the cafe before looking back at him, "You can't just steal something that lethal and then not expect us to steal it back."

Titus rolls his eyes. "Stop scolding me and get to the chase. You're really pushing it, Vladimira," He growls lowly.

I sigh before letting my hand drop from my stomach. It's just two words, I think calmly.

"I'm pregnant."

Titus's eyes start to take on an amber hue. His hands grip the table tightly, making my tea spill over my cup onto my hand.

I gasp as I rub my scorched hand. "Titus-"

Suddenly, Titus takes my hand into a tight grip. His golden eyes stare into mine, pure abhorrence clear in his eyes.

"Please tell me you're lying, so help me god if you aren't," He growls out. I pull my hand away quickly before rubbing my wrist.

"I'm not lying, Titus. This child-"

Titus once again cuts me off. "I used protection, you can't be pregnant."

Titus and I stare at each other for a moment.

Now I understand why we're enemies...

"The condom must of broke, because I don't only have one positive pregnancy test, but I have two positive pregnancy tests," I say seriously.

Titus shakes his head, his hand running through his brown hair. "You don't even have the pregnancy test, for all I could know, you could be lying."

My eyes narrow into slits. "First of all, Titus, I don't enjoy being called a liar. Secondly, I know you're older than me, but I'm still your queen, and you will not disrespect me. Thirdly, I do have the pregnancy test," I sneer.

Titus's eyes are wide after my little outburst. Usually lunas keep their cool, but I couldn't help it, my mood swings have been crazy lately.

"Can I see the pregnancy test, Vladimira?" Titus asks softer.

Sighing, I pull the pregnancy tests out of my purse and hand them to Titus.

Titus stiffens as he looks over the pregnancy tests, he shakes his head. "You have to get an abortion."

I nod. "I already know that. When I get home, I'm going to call my pack doctor and set up an appointment," I say truthfully.

Titus shakes his head. "Do it here, right now. I want to make sure you're not scamming me again."

I take in a deep breath to calm myself. Titus seems to notice this small action, his mouth opens to say something but immediately closes when I slam my hand down on his.

People next to us look over in curiosity before slowly turning back to their conversation.

Nosy humans, I think in disgust.

"What are you-"

I cut Titus off by letting my claws extend and cut into his flesh, blood soon starts to flow from the fresh cuts.

The sad things is, I don't feel an ounce of mercy.

Maybe my father is rubbing off on me.

Shock covers Titus's face as he tries to pull his hand away. I only tighten my grip, making the pain even worse for him.

"Stop talking to me like I'm a child, Titus. I'm pretty sure I can pick up a phone and make an appointment on my own," I growl out.

I pull my claws out of his hands, watching as the wounds slowly heal.

"I'm sorry if I came off like that, Vladimira."

I roll my eyes as I pull my phone out of my purse. "Just to calm your nerves, I'll make the appointment now."

Relief covers Titus's face.

I dial the pack doctor's numbers, only then do I realize that I don't know what to say.

'We're Luna, we can command her to not tell anybody. If she fails, then we'll kill her,' Greer says.

I shrug to her carelessly. 'Sounds like a good plan.'

The pack doctor, Daniella, picks up the phone immediately.

"Queen Mira, what might I help you with?" Daniella's soft voice asks. I sigh as I think of what to say.

Titus's eyes stare at me intently, waiting for me to say something. He's obviously listening to the conversation.

"Listen, I don't have time to be nice. I need you to set-up an appointment for me as soon as possible," I say bluntly.

Daniella sucks in a harsh breath. "Of course, Queen Mira. What is the appointment for, if you don't mind me asking?"

"An abortion, and it needs to happen as soon as possible," I repeat. Daniella replies with shock lacing her voice.

"Luna, that would be the secondary heir to the thrown, you can't-"

I growl at Daniella, resulting in a whimper from her.

Titus's eyes fill with amusement.

"Do not tell me what to do, Daniella. Also, if word of this gets out to anybody, especially my father, I will not hesitate to kill you!" I whisper ferociously.

Now it isn't shock that is lacing Daniella's words, it's fear. "Yes, Luna Mira. I'll get back to you when I have a date for your appointment," She says quickly.

"Thank you," I say before hanging up. I look up at Titus to see a small smirk playing on his lips.

"You're a scary woman at times," He says teasingly. I roll my eyes before looking at his hand.

The cuts were healed, only faint scars remained.

'I still don't feel bad,' Greer says. I agree with her before checking my phone.

"I should lea-"

"No, wait," Titus says before standing up. He glances at my stomach before meeting my eyes. "May I?"

I nod hesitantly before turning my body towards him. My cardigan falls open easily, revealing my noticeable bump.

It surprises me just how fast my baby will grow, considering werewolf babies are gestated over a period of six months, not nine.

Suddenly, I remember that my child won't make it full term, it will be dead by then.

'We don't care about this child, Vlad. Don't let these emotions fool you,' Greer reprimands.

I give a small smile at Titus, trying to forget about the reality check I had a few moments ago.

"I know the baby can't hear me, but I'll feel guilty if I don't get this off my chest," Titus says as he kneels in front of me.

Titus's warm hands find my stomach, making me suck in a breath. His dark eyes glance at me before looking down.

He starts to whisper to my belly, I almost miss everything he says, but I eventually catch on.

"I'm afraid for you and me. I've never fathered a child before, so it's hard for me to accept that you have to be aborted, but at the same time, I want you to be aborted, it's for the best,

"I can't love you, I won't love you, but my wolf always will. I'm sorry you can't be brought into this world, I'm sorry I can't be the father you deserve,

"I'll never forget you at least, and I'm sure your mother won't either. You deserve a better home, one that I, nor your mother, can give you. I'm pretty sure you would have been a beautiful baby."

Tears are soon streaming down my face, much to my dismay.

This is harder than I thought.

Quickly, I wipe away my tears, but Titus doesn't move from in front of me.

His head now rests on my stomach, his hands slowly caressing the sides of my stomach.

"It's for the best, Titus," I whisper awkwardly. Titus nods, as if he has already accepted the fate of his child.

"I've never felt this horrible before, even though I have killed thousands, and I mean thousands, of people. Killing this baby just makes me feel horrible."

I release a laugh, trying to lighten the mood. "It's only because a piece of you is getting killed, nothing else. This child can't live, we have to accept that," I say confidently.

Titus nods before looking back down at my stomach. He lays a chaste kiss on it before standing up.

I check my phone once again before standing up. "I should really leave now," I whisper.

Titus nods, before releasing a sigh.

He looks broken, which is odd. When I told him, he didn't seem that ecstatic, now he seems miserable.

'Titus said his wolf will always love this child. Man and wolf are always on the same page.'

I look down as I think about how much Greer doesn't want our pup.

Realization soon dawns on me. My wolf and I aren't on the same page.
