I was now in Jonathan's Office alone and I had a plan. He was going to be back soon and I had to act fast.
When I was rummaging earlier, I saw a rope. I looked over to the ropes that were tying the three bags together. I grabbed the rope from the drawer and started my work.
When I have Sea stone on me, even if I tough something I have never touched before, if I go back without Sea stone and try to make wood off of it, it wouldn't work.
That's why I came up with this plan.
I wrapped the rope securely around all three bags and made sure they were all connected. I then dragged them- Holy shit these are heavy...
Anyways, I dragged them to the balcony and went to the side farthest from the door.
I draped the bags over the edge and prayed they wouldn't slip. If nami finds out I let a single gold coin fall, she will wring my neck...
I tied the section of rope that was still free to the edge of the balcony, as low as I could. The bags were slightly resting on the mountain, and the wind wasn't catching the gold, so I wasn't worried.
I heard someone fiddling with the doorknob. I knew it was Jonathan. I need to be doing something so he doesn't think about the Gold. Though he seems like a forgetful guy anyway...
I immediately jumped on his chair and started spinning like crazy as soon as the person came in.
I stopped and looked at the door. It was Drake.
"How'd it go? Y'know, interrogating Zoro n' all. Was I right?"
He just ignored me and grumbled to himself.
"Stupid pirate... mocking... sky island... bullshit..."
"Oh, you mean Skypiea? Yeah, that's real. He wasn't lying."
He slowly turned to me, shock written on his face.
"D-Did Jonothan i-interrogate you?!" He seemed like he was about to blow a fuse.
"N-"
"No, I did not."
Jonathan walked through the door before I could answer.
Drake blew up and started scolding him, despite the rank differences.
After that Jonothan left for Lunch and I worried for Sanji and Luffy. Hopefully, they left the cafeteria by now...
~~Somewhere else~~
"What did you come to the fortress for?" [Jonathan]
"What for? Well, when we fell from the sky we happened to land here." [Luffy]
"Hm?!" [Jonathan]
"The Grand Line really is an interesting place. I've come to like this fortress quite a bit as well, you know! You have good food here. I guess I'm just lucky." [Luffy]
"Haha. Listen, Straw Hat. Even if you've got the power of a Devil Fruit, it's impossible to escape Navarone without some sort of miracle." [Jonathan]
"I'll leave when I want to. ShiShiShi!" [Luffy]
"Even after you hear that two of your crewmates have been captured?" [Jonathan]
"Really?! Who?"
"The Pirate Hunter, Roanoa Zoro, and Red (Y/N)." [Jonathan]
"Zoro... (Y/N)..." [Luffy]
"(Y/N)-chan?!... And the idiot?!" [Sanji]
"Fortress guy. Where are they?" [Luffy]
"And if I tell you?" [Jonathan]
"Ha, what else? I'm gonna go rescue them right away!" [Luffy]
"You don't have to be so hasty. We will take you to the same place soon enough." [Jonathan]

Man, these bastards wont even let me into a cell with my friend? Do they want me to doe alone in an office?!
I went to the balcony and went to the edge. I leaned against the railing while facing the balcony entrance. I gazed up at the top of the mountain.
'Far way. I might be able to make it. Lower chance with the cuffs.'
I walked back inside and decided to try again.
I raced towards the door and kicked it open.
As soon as it opened, I was apprehended by two marine guards and thrown back into the office. I fell flat on my back.
"Oof! Assholes!"
I decided to mosey and snoop around the room, as I do best.
As I was walking to the desk, my mind went to my parents.
Who knew they were so special...
I got to the drawer and searched through. I found my paper again and began reading...

Damn, that's a lot to take in all at once...
I've only ever heard of Marie Jois in name, it's supposed to be extravagant and hold a certain group of people, but that's all I know.
That's all I've heard about them. People don't like to talk about them, but being a world noble sounds like a society or something.
I also believe I remember meeting the men mentioned in my father's description. Only once, though. An old-ish looking man and a Fishman. They were on Roger's crew too? So cool. I remember my dad looking up to this Tom guy. If Tom was the Shipwright, and if my dad was the assistant, that would make sense that he introduced me.
I heard from Vivi's father that my father adored me and hated to leave. He ended up hating my mother for hurting me, but I don't know why he left...
Jonathan came back in and yelled at me for snooping, calling me a brat once again.
~~ Sometime later ~~
There was a bust through the door and about 20 marines came in holding a familiar-looking sniper. I was sitting near the balcony and a bookshelf, really close to Jonathan, so I can't show that I know him or else he might get caught!
"Commander! He insists that he is a Marine!" One of the Marines in the front said. Man, all this work... For Usopp?! BS. Did he do something bad?!
"But the circumstantial evidence clearly indicates that he's one of the Straw Hats." Drake finished, Standing next to Jonathan, who was leaning on the front of his desk, looking at Usopp.
'I thought of all people, Usopp would be the most careful! That or he'd run away...'
Jonathan hummed in affirmation, then walked over to Usopp, looking over him. Knowing Usopp, he was terrified, but also knowing him, he wouldn't show his fear to some Marines, no matter the rank. I smirked, which didn't go unnoticed by Drake.
"Something funny, Red (Y/N)?"
I glanced over at him, as chill as I could be, "The only funny thing is that I've never seen this kid in my life." I started snickering to play off my act. From over here I could sense Usopps breathing calm slightly.
Drake growled at me and Jonathan stopped looking at Usopp to turn to me, still right in front of our fearful sniper.
Jonathan looked at me and I shrugged my shoulders. He turned back, "You."
"Yes sir!" Man, if they knew he was on my crew, I would be laughing at how he said that. It was like a bird's chirp. Or like a squeaky door hinge.
"What's your name?"
"..."
I started to chuckle as if I was making fun of him, but I meant it for him to calm him.
Maybe hearing a familiar voice would help, and I'm usually a jokester on the ship, and Usopp and I set off pranks together. It might help, maybe just a little.
Jonathan turned to me. I threw my hands back and put my feet on his desk, "This poor new marine, you're probably scaring the 'justice' right out of him. How bad it would look if he quit your base on his first day!" I tsked at him.
He grumbled at me before Usopp mumbled something. He sounded winded and whispering.
"It's a secret."
I busted out laughing, getting the attention of all the marines. I was holdig my gut and Accidentally fell on the floor.
"HAHA- Oh shi-"
*thump*
I could hear Usopp holding in his laugh.
Jonathan sighed and rolled his eyes at me and turned back to Usopp, who had calmed down a little bit.
"What unit are you in?" Jonathan leaned over him again.
"It's a secret," Usopp responded in that same winded way.
"Secret, huh?" Jonathan mused, though no sound of humor in his tone.
"Yes..."
"Let's imprison him right away and put the screws to him!"
"Oi! Drake! Are you dumb dumb or just dumb?!" I yelled, getting up from my spot on the floor and marching over to him.
Jonathan stifled a laugh and Drake snarled, "Hah?!"
"I told you I haven't seen this scumbag marine in my life, and you're going to imprison him?! Some 'justice'." I mocked in finger quotes, "I also hate when people don't listen to me!" I got in his face and held his collar with my cuffed hands, "I'll shove your screws right up your hairy-"
"Okay, that's enough for you." Jonathan said, before shoving me away by the back of my shirt, "Lt. Commander Drake, I heard there was a Special inspector from Navy Headquarters was on board the Stan Marey that arrived this morning."
Usopp if you don't take this chance, I might.
"Yes? C-Comander-" Drake said.
"It's natural for an inspector to hide his name and division during an inspection." Jonathan finished in his child-like tone.
"Th-That's ridiculous! An idiot like him wouldn't be-"
Drake was cut off by an evil chuckle.
"I'm surprised that you figured it out. That's what you'd expect from the Commander." Usopp sounded actually scary, I was almost scared myself...
The marines around him were shocked as they slowly let go of him and he rose to his feet.
"You're right. I am the special inspector from Navy Headquarters. Captain Usopp!"
'He could've at least made an alias...'
I would've face palmed if it wasn't working so well.
"Is there any illegal activity in Branch 8?! Are military laws and regulations being followed?! Are the Marines full of enthusiasm?!" He was raising his voice, saluting. Man, Usopp is a pretty good liar and a quick thinker.
The Marine underlings behind him were getting hyped up.
"So, I disguised myself as a mere private to get the inside scoop." He bowed his head, a hand on his chest as if confessing, "That's the story!"
Goddamn. Usopp was really selling this. If I didn't already know, I would've mistaken him for an inspector. He had a smug look on his face as the marines behind him saluted and called him captain.
"Don't be ridiculous..." Drake grumbled, slightly believing him.
I snapped my fingers in thought, gaining the attention of most in the room.
"Now that I think about it when I was alone on the balcony, someone walked off of a marine ship looking shady. Was that you Gyrene Inspector?"
Usopp played the part well. He came over to me and started shaking me by the collar, looking angry, "Don't ever insult the Marines or World Government like that again, Pirate scum!"
I returned the energy, "Oh, kiss my pirate ass!" Jonathan had to break us up and Usopp played along.
"I'm very sorry for acting out of line, Commander. I just despise when people tarnish the World Government's name!" Usopp said, clenching his fist. I stuck my tongue out at him and flipped him off. If no one believed before, they did now.
Drake intervened, "An inspector with a higher rank than a Branch Commander?!" He pointed at Ussop, or should I say, the Captain, "There's no way an idiot like you could be one!"
"Idiot?..." Oh boy, Usopp is starting to scare me... "Idiot?! What're you saying, Drake, whoever when you are a mere Lt. Commander?! I could have you court-martialed for insulting a senior officer, y'know!"
Drake was sweating like crazy now.
"Do you want to visit the Navy Prison? Huh?" Usopp said in a creepily nice tone, putting a hand on Drake's shoulder.
Usopp was taunting him now, and he was going to give away his role, though now that I think about it, Jonathan is smart enough to know that higher-up marines are power hungry. He might consider this normal. So might everyone else. But it's better not to risk it.
"I'm sorry, Captain. I was thinking about sending someone to greet you, but I got delayed" Jonathan turned and glanced at me when he said the last part, "Please forgive me!"
"Well, so long as you understand...!" Usopp grinned. He was enjoying this way too much.
The door opened and a Marine came in, saluting.
"Commander! Special inspector Major Shephard sent from Navy Headquarters!"
Usopp and I's hearts probably went through the floor.
"Got it," Jonathan answered mindlessly.
He froze, my mouth was agape... I should have been hiding my surprise and kept the 'I don't know this guy' act up. Usopp turned to me, an expression of Anger, Fear, and Disappointment all in one.

Drake had a similar expression, though occupied with specifically an angry face, "See, I was right!"
Drake started scolding Usopp instead of apprehending him. Usopp was constantly apologizing until he looked at the entrance and was shocked. I was watching the enraged Marine until I locked eyes with this so-called 'special inspector.'
Goddamnit Robin, you don't know what you just messed up! Though you might be more believable after the Usopp show.
"Nice to meet you, Commander Jonathan."
Usopp tried to 'jog' the inspector's memory to save his own skin.
"Major Shephard, do you know this Captain?" Jonathan asked, the same smile on his face. Did he know? About Usopp?
"No, I don't know him."
Usopp and I's jaws fell through the floor. They apprehended Usopp and took him where they were keeping Zoro, or at least that's what I'm assuming...
Drake slammed the door on Usopp and all the other Marines.
Now all who was left was Me, Robin, Drake, and Jonathan.
"Now I'll start investigating Navarone, okay?" Robin asked, adjusting her sunglasses.
"Please! Be my guest! We welcome you, Major Shephard!"
"Thank you very much."
Robin's head turned, indicating she was looking at me. I leaned back in my chair a little.
"Is this the Crewmember found on the so-called, 'Ghostship?'" Robin asked the Commander, moving closer to me.
"Be cautious Major. This is Red (Y/N), of the Straw Hat pirates. Bounty of 5,000,000." Jonathan responded, looking at me, his smile fading.
"I see." She smiled at me before turning away and exiting the room.
