It is the start of a new beginning for Valkyrie Squad V. With them officially becoming Schicksal Valkyries just two weeks prior, they now take a step into a new session at the academy.
Currently, Akiri and Kiana, along with Mei and Bronya are walking down the hallway of the main building of the school, heading towards their new class for the first time.
The four of them were conversing as they made their way, walking through the crowd of students that is also on their way to their classes.
Kiana: I wonder what new things they're gonna teach us this time? I can't wait!
The silver-haired girl said excitedly.
Akiri: Why? You never pay attention to classes anyway
Kiana: I'm a changed girl now! I've learned from my mistakes, and I'm determined to focus on both practical and theory classes
Mei: That's good, Kiana-chan. I think I'll make tonight's dinner extra special for the occasion
Kiana: Yes! Today's gonna be so awesome!
She said as they turned the corner and finally reached their assigned classroom. As they got close to the door, they noticed that the classroom was noisier than usual, but they didn't think much of it as they entered the class.
Kiana: I'm telling you guys, there's nothing that could ruin my day
???: Ah, it's you four. Good to see you again
They heard a voice speak out as they entered the classroom. They turned to see that it was a familiar person wearing glasses, greeting them with a smile.
Kiana: Wh-what?! What are you doing here?!
Fu Hua: Hm? I am a student in this class. Same as you
It turned out to be Fu Hua. The top student in the whole academy.
She is also someone Kiana really dislikes for many reasons, but mostly because the bespectacled girl is repeatedly the reason she was caught skipping classes. She is also the one who is constantly reprimanding the silver-haired girl for her bad grades.
Akiri: W-wait, aren't you supposed to be in your third year?
He asked as the others looked at her confused.
Fu Hua: Correct
Mei: Then, why are you in a class with us second years?
Fu Hua: You are mistaken. It is you three that are in a class of third years
Kiana: What?!
The three of them were surprised at what she had said, and the sudden reveal had raised even more questions for them.
Kiana: Thi-This can't be right
???: It's not a mistake. What Fu Hua's saying is true
A new voice spoke out from behind them and they turned around to see that it was Major Murata Himeko.
Kiana: Aunt Himek- Ow!
She was immediately hit on the head by the teacher.
Himeko: I told you not to call me aunt...!
Mei: Miss Himeko, what did you mean? Why are we put in a class with third years?
Himeko: By decision of the principal, you three are allowed to skip a year
The three were completely shocked at the news.
Mei: Then we're really supposed to be in this class?
Akiri: I guess so
Kiana: Ha! I always knew that we're geniuses. Especially me!
Himeko: Not so fast. Although you've passed the remedial exam, you only did so by only a point
She said, looking at Kiana specifically and the silver-haired girl lets out a nervous laugh.
Himeko: And so, you alone would be subjected to take a special additional course throughout the year
Mei: Special course?
Himeko: It's mostly to help her with her studies and the course will be supervised by Fu Hua here
Kiana: What?!
Fu Hua: I am looking forward to working with you, heiress to the House of Kaslana
Himeko: She'll be your personal tutor from now on, so try to get along
Kiana: Why do these things always happen to me?!
Himeko: It wouldn't have to be this way if you'd just focus on your studies. Although your performance in combat is impeccable, your knowledge in the theoretical side of things is severely lacking
Kiana: Ugh...
Himeko: Be grateful for this. The other option was to separate you guys and have Kiana stay in her second year
Kiana: No! I don't want to be separated from Mei-senpai!
She exclaimed in a panic as she held Mei's arm with tears in the corner of her eyes.
Himeko: Then stop complaining. Now, go to your seats. Class is about to start
Himeko left it at that as she went towards the front of the classroom.
Kiana, Mei, Bronya and Akiri took to their seats, with Kiana still pouting as she sat on the seat next to Mei while Akiri and Bronya took the seats on the row in front of them.

As it was the first class of the session, the students weren't subjected to too much in terms of lessons to give them space to settle into their new class environment. For the rest of the day, the teachers only gave them an overview of what's to come in their upcoming days as students at St. Freya.
The first homeroom class also went into choosing a class monitor for their class, which Fu Hua won by a landslide. And so, the title of class monitor goes to her, much to Kiana's dismay.
Currently, classes had just ended, a bit earlier than usual since it was the first day. The four members of Valkyrie Squad V are seen walking out of the main school building.
Kiana: Now that was a total bore...
Kiana said as she stretched her arms upwards with a yawn.
Akiri: And you slept through most of it. What happened to you being a "changed girl" now?
Kiana: Being in the same class with four-eyes killed the mood for me. I'll try again next year
She said while crossing her arms in a sulking manner while Akiri rolled his eyes.
Akiri: I don't get why you dislike her so much. She seemed like a nice person
Kiana: She was breathing down my neck all the time. And that was before we got placed in the same class as her. I swear, she gotta be a stalker or something
Mei: I'm sure that's not true
Kiana: But it's gotta be! Everywhere I go, I feel like I'm being watched by her twenty-four-seven. She might even be watching us right now
???: Excuse me
A female voice called out from behind the four. They turn around and were surprised to see that it is none other than the class monitor, Fu Hua.
Kiana: See what I mean?
She muttered to Akiri next to her.
Fu Hua: Kiana-san, it's time for your tutoring session
Kiana: Eh?! Already? Isn't it too soon?
Fu Hua: It's every day beginning from today, except when you're on missions. Oh, and that includes off days as well
Kiana: What?! You've got to be kidding me!
Akiri: That's harsh
Kiana: Yeah, you tell her. There's no way that I'm-
Akiri: Which is exactly why I think that it'll be good for you
Kiana: What? I thought you were on my side!
Mei: Actually... I think so as well
Kiana: You too, Mei-senpai?!
The silver-haired girl was completely dumbfounded that her friends would turn against her.
Mei: I just think that this could give you the incentive to study more. You do nothing but play games back at home anyway
Bronya: The Bronya also thinks that it'll benefit the idiotka greatly
Kiana: Erk! No way...
Fu Hua: Come on. We'll be studying in the library until sundown
Kiana: Sundown?! That's like three hours from now!
Fu Hua: Then we better get started
She said before grabbing Kiana's arm and she started to drag her away.
Kiana: No! I don't wanna! Help me, Mei-senpai!
She shouted as she tries to pull away from Fu Hua's grasp, however, the bespectacled girl kept a firm grip on her hand, not letting go as she kept walking off into the distance.
Mei: Study hard, Kiana-chan!
Bronya: Do svidanya
A brief moment later, they were completely out of view.
Mei: Well, shall we make our way back? I need to get things prepared for dinner
Akiri: What are you making?
Mei: Not sure... I guess I could make something Kiana-chan likes to cheer her up
Akiri: That'll probably be best, yeah
With that, the remaining members of the squad continued on their way back to the dorms.

Akiri: Damn! I've finally beat it! That boss took way too long to defeat
Akiri puts down the game controller and released an exhausted sigh as he slumps down on the couch.
A moment later, the front door then opens and he saw Kiana walk into the living room with slumped shoulders and a tired expression on her face.
Mei: Welcome back, Kiana-chan
Mei greeted from the kitchen as she is hard at work, cutting some vegetables on the cutting board while letting something cook in a pot on the stove.
Kiana: This has got to be the worst day of my life...
Akiri: The worst day of your life so far
Mei: Akiri-kun, not helping
Akiri: Sorry
Kiana walked over and threw herself on the couch while letting out a long exhausted sigh.
Mei: Cheer up, Kiana-chan. I made you your favourite today
Kiana: Thanks, Mei-senpai
She then looked at the game Akiri is currently playing.
Kiana: Hey, you've gotten past that boss already?
Akiri: Yup
Kiana: Eh? How? His shield explodes every time I hit it. The guy is literally invincible
She asked as she leaned closer to him with a surprised look on her face.
Akiri: Then don't hit it. You just need to be patient and wait for the right moment
Kiana: Give me that. I want to try
Akiri: Go change first, you're gonna get your uniform wrinkled

For the next few days, school for them went on surprisingly like normal. None of them seems to struggle with the new subjects and schedule in their new term.
However, for Kiana Kaslana, her daily life has turned more difficult for her, having to meet with the class monitor at the school library after class for her special tutoring session.
Only a handful of students are seen around inside the library of St. Freya, either browsing the shelves or sitting at the table reading some books.
Fu Hua: No, that's wrong. You need to use this formula here for this problem
In a section of the library, Fu Hua and Kiana are seen sitting at one of the tables in the corner, which is relatively far away from anyone else.
Fu Hua: Good. Now multiply that with your previous answer and that will be your x
Kiana: I remember when math was easy until they start adding letters into it...
Kiana mumbled as she kept on writing in her notebook after punching in some numbers on a scientific calculator.
Fu Hua: And you're done. Good job
Kiana: Great... Can I go now?
Fu Hua: Go ahead, well finish up a bit early today. And please don't be late again next time, or I'll be forced to report to Miss Himeko about it
Kiana: Yeah, yeah, I got it
Kiana said as she then got up from her seat and quietly left without another word.
Fu Hua silently watches as the silver-haired girl walks out the door of the library. She took a brief glance around the area, and once she made sure that no one could hear her, she pulled out some kind of device and placed it in front of her mouth.
Fu Hua: Target had just finished her lesson for today. After monitoring her for the last three hours, I can safely deduce that there are no signs from her that might indicate the awakening of the second Herrscher
She spoke into the device with a quiet voice as a precaution in case there is someone nearby to hear her.
Fu Hua: I will proceed to the secondary objective. I'll now monitor subject 51 who should be at the training field at this moment
Once she's finished, she placed the small device back in her pocket before getting up and quietly leaving the area.
