Sonic was laying on the garage roof and he was looking at a book.
Sonic: I guess I've seen every place there is to see on this planet, except for the places I'd have to swim to.
Cream, Cheese and Y/n were in the living room watching Cream's cartoon.
Purple Monster: Bye, bye my friends. I'll see you tomorrow.
Cream: Bye, bye.
Cheese: Chao, chao.
Y/n: I honestly don't understand why you watch this, Cream.
Ella walked in.
Ella: I thought you three might like a little snack.
Cream: Thank you, Ella.
Cheese: Chao! Chao!
The news came on.
News anchor: We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to go live to our SSTV correspondent, Scarlet Garcia.
Scarlet: The president's top aide is going to make a statement before taking questions from the press corps.
Top aide: The president has decided to take action to stop Dr. Eggman.
Cream: What?
Knuckles was climbing up a mountain and reached the top.
Knuckles: All right, where's that emerald?
He saw the X-Tornado fly over him and he ran after it.
With the X-Tornado.
Amy, Chris, Tails, and the overalls girl were flying in the X-Tornado.
Overalls girl: Amy, there's my house down there.
Amy: Which one?
Overalls girl: Do you see the one with the red roof?
Amy: Yeah. That's great Francis.
Francis: You should come for a visit sometime.
Amy: I will, thanks.
Francis: Hey, Chris. Do you think we can fly over our school?
Chris was wearing a pair of goggles.
Chris: Ah, well, I- Maybe.
Tails: Guys, this isn't a sight-seeing trip. We've got to hurry and track down the next Chaos Emerald or Eggman'll get it before we do.
Chris: I know, Tails, sorry.
Tails: It's all right. Hey, Chris, where did you get those new high-tech goggles? From your grandpa or Y/n?
Chris: Mmm, no, my teacher Mr. Stewart gave 'me to me. Like 'em?
Tails: Mm-hmm. They look pretty cool.
Chris: Yeah, they're one of the best gifts I ever got.
Little to their knowledge a chip was in the goggles and Mr. Stewart was able hear everything Chris was hearing.
Francis: (On radio: Amy, look, there's the school Chris and I go to.)
The X-Tornado flew over Mr. Stewart's car and he drove after it.
Tails: I hope the search is going better on Y/n's end.
Meanwhile at the white house.
Y/n walked into the President's office.
President: Y/n, good to see you. Sit down.
Rouge: Over here. I saved you a spot, handsome.
Y/n sat next to Rouge.
Y/n: Just know, I'm only sitting here because I hate you the least out of everyone here, Rouge.
Rouge: Whatever you say.
Commander: The power generators for Eggman's base are located under the tower, Mr. President.
President: Oh.
Commander: This information came to us from Rouge, Topaz and Y/n.
President: Well, Rouge and Y/n, I'm glad my confidence in you two wasn't misplaced.
Rouge: This spy stuff is right up my alley.
President: We're all very grateful. Now, let's review our attack plan.
Man: Right.
Topaz: You're taking all the credit, I see.
Rouge: Y/n here did do all the attacking.
Y/n: And Rouge's nimble movements did help a lot.
Rouge: That means a lot coming from you.
Topaz: (scoff) Get a room.
Pieces that looked like boats and planes surrounded the Eggman base diagram model.
Military advisor: It'll be a two-pronged assault from both sea and air.
President: Hmm. Yes, but what if Eggman's robots counterattack?
Military advisor: These forces are merely a diversion. Eggman will deploy his robots against this frontal assault. Meanwhile, a special forces team will approach the island from the opposite side and sneak into the base from the rear. Once they break into the generator room, they'll cut off Eggman's power supply.
Man 2: They'll be backed up by a team from the Intelligence Agency including Rouge, Y/n and some other agents.
President: Good.
Topaz: How come they get top billing?
Commander: You know how it works, Topaz. There's a star in every show, sometimes two. We're just bit players.
President: Now, on to the subject of Sonic.
Man 2: We're ready to capture him and force him to work with us.
President: Well, now, you see... I sent someone to try a more diplomatic approach.
Man 2: Who, sir?
At the Thorndyke residence.
The President's aide was at the front door along with two other men and Ella opened the door.
Ella: Good day, sir. Oh! You're the President's aide.
Aide: Is Sonic at home?
Sonic was laying on the roof.
Ella: I don't know. Who's he?
Aide: I'd like you to let Sonic know that I didn't come here to capture him. I simply came at the request of the President to ask for his cooperation. You should also tell Sonic that if he does agree to work with us, he'll be rewarded. The President gave his pledge that Sonic and his friends will be offered citizenship, and they'll be paid for their services.
Ella: That's all very nice, but I don't think I know no Sonic.
Aide: We know you know Sonic... Ella.
Ella: (gasp) But how do you know my name?
Aide: We know all about you, this house, and visitors.
Ella: I already told you I don't know nothing. So why don't you put an egg in your shoe and beat it.
Aide: Listen, we know you know Sonic because we know Y/n and we know he lives here too.
Ella's eyes widened.
Ella: Uh, whatever this Y/n told you he was lying.
Aide: I can cause lots of problemas for you, lady. Get Sonic!
Ella slammed the door and the aide tried to open it but failed and Ella opened the door and splashed a bucket of water on the aide's face and shut the door again.
Aide: (growls) What kind of security is this? You're suppose to jump in front of me. Now, I smell like floor wax.
Mr. Tanaka: Ella, who was it?
Ella: Just because he's the President's big shot assistant, he thinks he can threaten me. Well, I just showed him that he's all wet! What was Y/n thinking working with someone like him?
Back at the white house.
The President was on the phone.
President: Yes, I see. Thank you.
He hung up.
President: He couldn't even get into the door to see him.
Y/n: Told you.
Man: Who knew hedgehogs were so headstrong.
Y/n: Aham.
Man: Uh, no offense, Y/n.
Y/n: Offense taken.
Man 2: It looks like we'll have to stop Eggman ourselves, Mr. President.
President: I suppose we'll have to count Sonic out.
Rouge: You don't need him in the game.
President: Huh?
Rouge: Not when you've got me going to bat for you, and I'm unstoppable with my light blue boo here by my side.
She winked at Y/n.
Y/n: Don't call me that, Rouge.
President: Ah, you're right, Rouge!
Rouge: (chuckle) (Thinking: I'm not going to let anything stop me from getting my hands on a Chaos Emerald this time, not even my light blue boo.)
Y/n: (Thinking: I swear on this day, I will kill Robotnik and get the Chaos Emerald back.)
Meanwhile with the X-Tornado.
The Chaos Emerald started to glow.
Tails: The Chaos Emerald's picking up something.
Chris: That's great!
Tails: See the locator screen?
Chris: South-southeast.
Tails: Chaos Emerald, here we come.
They turned around.
2 minutes later.
They landed in a corn field.
Chris: The scopes say there's a Chaos Emerald in this field. We beat Eggman to it. Open up so we can start looking.
Tails: We can look from here.
Chris: Hmm?
Tails: Wait and see.
Tails pushed a button and the plane started to transform.
Francis: What's this?
The plane's jets turned into legs and the X-Tornado was able to stand.
Francis: Wow!
Amy: Wow, Tails. What did you do?
Tails: I transformed it into an all-purpose robot called the X-Cyclone. What do you guys say we take it for a little stroll?
Chris: Uh-huh!
Tails: Now, let's find that Chaos Emerald.
The plane started walking and after a bit it stopped as the Chaos Emerald they had started glowing really bright and they all got out of the plane.
Chris: Looks like there's a Chaos Emerald right under our feet.
Tails: Hm-hmm!
Amy: But we didn't bring a shovel.
Francis: That's okay, 'cause we got the X-Cyclone to dig for us. Isn't that right, Tails?
Chris: Hey, yeah. You said it was an all-purpose robot.
Tails: I... didn't include a digging function.
Francis/Chris: Wha?
Amy: It's not all-purpose then, is it?
Tails: Not exactly.
Meanwhile.
Y/n clenched his fist really tight.
Rouge: Y/n, what's wrong?
Y/n: I don't know why, but for some reason I feel like smacking
Tails across the head.
Rouge: I'm not even gonna question who that is.
Y/n: Not like I was going to tell you anyway. Now, let's move on.
Rouge: Right.
Back with the others.
Chris: Guys, I bet the farm house we saw has a shovel we could borrow.
Chris ran off.
Francis: I'll go with you.
They ran off.
Meanwhile back at the white house.
Man: This may well be our only opportunity, Mr. President. If Eggman leaves to chase after that Chaos Emerald, we can attack the base while he's gone, which will improve the odds of our success.
Man 2: And we'll have Eggman on the run.
Y/n: But if we do that he might consider us as some miserable military dick heads.
Commander: Boy, I really hope you didn't use that language when you were in school.
Y/n: I never went to school.
The President was thinking.
Advisor: Mr. President?
President: All right then.
Rouge smiled at this.
President: Let's get this job done.
Y/n: Fine, but let's let Robotnik keep a few materials. I want a challenge for when I kill him.
Advisor: We cannot promise that.
Y/n: Fair enough.
Meanwhile with Knuckles.
Knuckles was on a mountain in front of a military base.
Knuckles: I wonder what's up know.
Meanwhile inside Eggman's base.
Him and his two robots were watching a commercial for glass cleaner.
Yellow robot: That's rad.
Silver robot: Let's call and order some.
Eggman: (mumble) I wish that stuff got rid of infomercials too.
Guy on the infomercial: Just think... You'll save a fortune with just one bottle of-.
The TV started to glitch up.
Man 2: They found a Chaos Emerald buried in a corn field near Ting-A-Ling Villa.
Eggman: What kind of show is this?
Women 1: Yes, near Ting-A-Ling Villa. A giant jet landed there, and they're starting to dig right now. It's near-
The main informational came back on.
Man 1: Call in the next 10 minutes to receive a bonus bottle at no extra cost.
Eggman turned off the show and he left with a big yellow bird robot with a giant fan in its stomach.
Military advisor: There he goes. Get ready to mobilize.
Back with Knuckles.
Knuckles: They're attacking Eggman's base.
Back with the gang.
All four of them had shovels and they were digging for the Chaos Emerald.
Tails: It must be deep.
Chris: Just keep digging.
They heard a jet roaring.
Francis: What's that?
Amy: Sounds like a jet.
They all gasped as they saw it was Eggman's robot.
Francis: Who's that?
Eggman in the Egg-carrier started hovering beside his robot.
Chris: Oh, no. It's Dr. Eggman.
Amy: Do something.
Tails nodded and climbed into the X-Cyclone.
Eggman: Have you found my Chaos Emerald yet?
Tails: We're not gonna give it to you.
Amy: That's right.
Eggman: Very well, I'll just take it then.
Chris: Hey, I better find a phone and call Sonic or Y/n.
Amy: Tell Sonic to hurry, Y/n can take his time.
Chris: Come on, Francis.
Chris grabbed Francis by the wrist and they both ran off.
Eggman: Go! Get them, Funfun!
Amy: Stop them, X-Cyclone!
Tails: Let's go!
The X-Cyclone started to head for Funfun but Funfun's fan started to spin and it created a huge wind that not only stopped the X-Cyclone but also blew Amy away.
Tails: Amy!
The X-Cyclone also got blown away.
Eggman: You're blowing those brats away! Good work!
Funfun's fan got faster and it blew away not only a big part off the corn field but also the farm and farm house and Eggman started laughing.
Eggman: This is the most "funfun" I've had in a long time.
Tails tried to get out of there but couldn't.
Tails: The control stick is jammed up.
The wind was so strong it even blew Chris's goggles.
Meanwhile with Mr. Stewart.
Mr. Stewart: That corn field must be around here somewhere.
Mr. Stewart saw that his tracker was moving and stopped his car.
Mr. Stewart: They're heading the other way. All right.
He turned around a drove full speed.
Meanwhile at Eggman's base.
The Air Force fighter planes and navy battleships were headed towards the base and the jets fired missiles at it as well as the boats and they all made direct hits.
Inside.
Silver robot: What's happening!?
Yellow robot: It's an attack, you bolt brain! Those fighter planes are firing at us. And there are battleships too.
Silver robot: We will show them. Let's launch our counterattack!
They sent robots to fight back against the fighter planes and battleships and both Rouge and Y/n were watching from the ground and Rouge was dressed in full body black jumpsuit with a mask while Y/n just had a black leather jacket on.
Rouge: They're putting up quite a fight.
Y/n: We're not here for a show, Rouge. Let me quickly check to see if there are any traps.
He ran off and quickly came back.
Y/n: It's clear.
Rouge: Excellent. Now, let's knock out the power.
They all went off to make their move.
Back at the white house.
The President was reading things from a piece of paper.
President: (clears throat) My fellow civilians. I mean, my fellow citizens. Today, our millinery- no, our military sources.
Cameramen: We go live in 15 seconds, Mr. President.
The President strained up his tie and cleared throat and Scarlet Garcia played on the big TV in town.
Scarlet: We interrupt our regular broadcast to bring you this live emergency address from the President.
The President came on.
President: My fellow citizens. Today, our military forces launched an all-out assault against the headquarters of Dr. Eggman.
Cream and Cheese were also watching the address from the Thorndyke residence.
President: Despite repeated warnings, Dr. Eggman has continued to threaten the peace and well-being of our nation.
Cream: We have to tell Sonic and Y/n about this.
She got off the couch and ran to find Sonic.
Cheese: Chao! Chao, chao!
Cheese also got up and followed Cream.
Back with the assault.
The planes and battleships were still fighting against the robots while still trying to hit the base.
President: This conflict is unfortunate, but we cannot allow Dr. Eggman to achieve his goal of world domination. We must stop him now before it is too late.
The robot and military fight was still going on and the agents were able to use a bomb to get in the base.
Y/n: (Thinking: So, after this I'll leave Sonic and the rest. With all we've been through together, I almost can't believe it's gonna end today.)
With Knuckles.
They were preparing another plane and Knuckles stowedaway on it.
At the Thorndyke residence.
Sonic: Hey, Tails. Let's go- huh?
They saw Tails wasn't there.
Cream: (gasp) How could he leave without you, Sonic?
Chuck walked down the stairs with a cup of tea.
Chuck: Hi there, Sonic. Tails went flying with Amy and Chris and his friend, Francis. I'm not sure where. They left quite awhile ago, so I don't think they'll be gone too much longer.
Sonic: Grr. Lousy time for a joyride.
Cream: What about Y/n?
Chuck: He left at the same time as the others, not sure where he went either.
Sonic: I think I have a pretty good idea where he is.
Back with the others.
Funfun was still blowing with its fan and everyone was still on the ground.
Chris: The wind got us pinned down.
Amy was able to climb up the field with her hammer and some wooden sticks.
Chris: Amy!
Amy: Don't worry! I'm almost there!
Tails and the X-Cyclone were finally able to get up and and faced Funfun and Eggman.
Tails: I won't let you win, Eggman!
Eggman: (laughing) That measly machine of yours is no match for my robot.
Tails: Oh, yeah!?
Eggman: Let's compete to see whose robot rules. Knocking the wind of your puny X-Cyclone will be a breeze.
Eggman snapped his fingers and Funfun's fan went faster and the X-Cyclone was being pushed back which made Eggman laugh.
Eggman: It seems Tails is in way over his head.
The wind was so great it made a dirt wave that blew Tails and the X-Cyclone away and leaves blew on to the front of Mr. Stewart's car.
Mr: It's like a tornado!
He got out a cellphone and used a voice changer to change his voice.
Mr. Stewart: (deep voice) Is this the Thorndyke residence?
At the Thorndyke residence.
Chuck: Yes, that's right. Sorry, what did you say? Speak up! They're at Ting-A-Ling Villa? Thanks a lot! I'll send someone after them right away.
He hung up.
Cream: Who was that, Grandpa?
Chuck: He wouldn't say who he was. Chris needs your help at Ting-A-Ling Villa.
Sonic: Right.
Sonic ran to help them.
Announcer: Can Sonic get to his friends fast enough to save them? Will Y/n really leave Team Sonic? Find out next time.
