There was something about those eyes.
You knew better than to think that they were real. The way they flickered. The way they glowed. Surely they were as synthetic as the machine they belonged to. Right? Well, not exactly.
Those eyes also held a mysterious intelligence about them as they flitted around a room, scrutinizing each little piece of rubble like it would unfurl a missing link. Those eyes also brimmed with striking emotions as the owner reminisced on the past and talked of present situations. Those eyes also were amongst the most captivating pair you had ever seen when bright during the throes of passion- only rivaled by the warm golden glow they held once the afterglow had began to settle in after your shared trysts.
More than anything, those eyes reflected back at you such kindness, such amiability, and such adoration that it was impossible not to fall completely in love with them and the half withered synth they belonged to.
