PART TWO IS HERE BB! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO

Sorry it took so long, I had big righters block. But It is all good now.

Lowkey smut warning but not really? I did rush the ending but I might fix it later on. Who knows? BUTT! Enjoy folks!

-------------------------------------

Some time passed. You were now in New York after the redcoats, lead by Cook, came to Setauket to give you all a good lecture with a side of discipline. The Captain was upset about it for sure, made moral low for a bit. You set up shop by Holy Ground, ladies of the night constantly talking to you. Men making wagers and gambling, you would want to join but Simcoe would always make you watch. He insisted that you guard him constantly. You couldn't catch a break. He would win every gamble, every card game. He would turn and smile at you every time he won. Checking your reaction. Was this a joke to him? Some sort of punishment? Showing of him winning while you stand and cannot join in? What was going on in his head?

Finally you got a break. Odell took your place and you quickly rushed to Falkoff to talk to him. He sat on some stairs with bread, snacking away.  "Hey. Can I join you?" you ask, He then scooted over as to let you sit next to him, he breaks the loaf of bread, or what's left of it, to you. "Simcoe has you guarding him a lot."

"Yeah, and it's getting on my nerves. Why me?"

"Well, you sometimes loose the fake Scotts accent around him. Maybe he thinks you spy? Or-"

"is catching on that I am a woman?" you mumble. "Do I really loose the accent?"

"Sometimes." He takes a bite of bread. You do so too. "You have to be careful [y/n]." You nod your head in agreement. You and Falkoff continue to talk while Simcoe stares from where he sat, playing another round of a game, only half paying attention this go round. He looked on as you and him shared bread and talked. He had to take action, and soon, This was enough. Silly of him to try and impress you playing simple games when he didn't even tell you he admired you, liked you yet. Wanting to ask you about his theory, was he correct? That you were a woman after all?

You and Falkoff chatted, wondering what was next for the rangers, where you would go? Then Falkoff asked you out of the blue what you planned to do after the war? You hadn't thought about it, hadn't thought that far. It felt like the war wouldn't stop. You took a moment to think. He then offered that you and him live together, just as friends, he quickly added. "Yeah. I wouldn't mind that." you said. You had to admit he was cute, but you couldn't ignore the fact that you were close to Simcoe. That you had feeling for him, you tried to ignore them, but what could you do? What was possible?

Simcoe then got up and took Odell with him, he had a letter in his hand so he was summoned somewhere. Most likely by Benedict Arnold. He took Odell and Brandon, he didn't ask you to come like he usually did. Was he upset with you?

Falkoff took notice too. "Wonder what that was about?" he said. "Yeah, I wonder too..." you then took a deep sigh. He soon returned and said that Woodhull and his father were going to be traded for 500 pounds and Lieutenant Brewster. He told Falkoff he would go and take some men. Falkoff was about to ask if he could bring you to help since he trusted you but Simcoe quickly shot him down, "No. [y/false/n] will remain here. You may go, Falkoff." He said it loud enough for you to hear from where you stood. You knew something was up for sure. He made eye contact with you as he walked by, "Follow me [y/false/n]."

"Yes, Captain." You proceeded to follow him around the corner of the building. "Sir, might I ask as to why I am not allowed to go with Falkoff and the others on the mission?" You asked, fearing he was punishing you or mad at you for something like you theorized. Or that maybe you would be removed from the rangers. Left on your own again, to be on the streets.  "You will be my alibi. Nothing personal to you. Since that seems to be what is worrying you. You think I am isolating you don't you?"

"You were shocked. He did know what you were thinking, feeling. "Well, yes. Actually. That is was I was worried about, I fear I did something wrong."

"Well, you did do something wrong. You have lied to me, [y/false/n]."  you were scared now. He must have for sure figured out you were a woman. "[y/false/n], isn't really your true name is it? Might I ask as to what it is?" You were sweating. He knew. "I...I..."

"Do not worry, I will only call you by your true name when we are alone, just the two of us. Or when Falkoff is also around, I have guessed he also knows who you really are."

Your mouth was slightly agape, you didn't know what to say. What to do. How to react. So you just stood there. He was smiling, he knew he caught you off guard. "take your time answering." he sounded so pleased with himself. Like he was so happy his theory about you was correct. "I...yes. Falkoff has known that I am a woman. I was worried how you might react to me being a female. Rodgers told me to be a boy so I continued to be one. To protect myself from the others. However, know you do know. So...the alibi?" you wanted to rush past the topic and to the task Simcoe would have for you. "You and I will go to Rivington's establishment and just hang about there."

"That's it? That is all we have to do?"

"Indeed."

Simcoe and yourself made way to Rivington's. You entered in and Simcoe began a game of pool. You walked up to Mr. Townsend and asked him how he had been and asked for something to drink. Townsend was a nice man. Really respectable. You and him got along quite well. It helped to strengthen the alibi, you talking with Townsend and Simcoe playing a game of pool. making quite the noise.

Now knowing that Simcoe knew you were a woman, all his reactions made since. He was jealous. He was playing the card games to show off how smart he was, he was jealous at Falkoff because of how close the two of you were. Why he distanced himself from you but was also so close. He liked you. Was he afraid to say it after the mess with that lady from Setauket? The one that rejected him? Only kissed him to save Hewlett? Did he only figure you out once she was no longer an option? Your mind could not stop thinking. Simcoe took notice of you looking at him while you were deep in thought. He was sure you were thinking about him, and his discovery of you. He saw your eyes widen once you realized you were staring at him. He smiled as you quickly began to look away and stare at a painting on the wall.

Time passed and they finally returned. You were happy to see your friend Falkoff return, however you knew Simcoe would be mad, he returned with only half the men he left with. He tried to explain, Simcoe took it in good stride but was upset to hear Woodhull could very much still be alive. You knew he would be. Woodhull was smarter than he looked. It bugged Simcoe that that was true.

You all returned to your respective areas in camp, again ladies of the night tried to get you to sleep with them. The other rangers were staring. "Come on love, you canna' keep saying no. I'll give you a discount."

"Fine. You win." you say. The rangers smile and shake their heads. "Looks like [y/false/n] with finally not be a virgin. "Virgin? I will make it special for you." She whispers into your ear as she fallows you into your tent. "You can just relax, I'll still pay you for doing nothing."

"Nothing? You sure about that love?"

"yes, ma'am." you pull out quill and ink and then parchment paper. "I never been with a virgin."

"I am not a virgin, they all just think that because they ain't seen me with a woman." you quickly say, panicking. "Alright. So I will just sit here and be pretty?"

"Yes." you say, you put the quill and ink away and instead pull out charcoal-chock. You begin to sketch her. In about an hour and a half you are done. You give her the sketch. "You are free to leave ma'am."

"Aye, a gentlemen you are." She folds the sketch and puts it into her corset between her breasts. "A romantic." she smiles as leaves your tent. You leave after, the rangers rush you. "So what was it like getting it wet finally?" you smile. "It was brilliant. Don't know why I didn't say yes earlier." They were talking and talking on and on. Simcoe watched from his tent. He got out of his tent and walked over. "Get rest, all of you, we have training in the morning." They all listened and went to there tents. You were about to enter your own when you turned around and Simcoe was right behind you. "Miss Lola told me you drew her. I never have seen you draw."

"I haven't in a long time. When I lived on the streets, when I wasn't steeling or pick-pocketing, I was drawing people for money. Do you want me to draw you?"

"No, but I would like to see you draw more. Miss Lola said you smiled the whole way threw. Falkoff was right."

"Right about what?"

"Smiling." He smiled at you and quickly turned around and went to his tent. You didn't realize you smiled while you drew. You supposed it made since, it was something that use to make you happy. Then you began part of the rangers and stopped drawing altogether for years. You had to draw something special.

The next morning you woke up and woke the other men to take them to a field to train more per Simcoe's request. You got the men out there and told them to wait while you went to get Simcoe. They all stood patiently. You approached Simcoe's tent. "Captain?" He opened the flap, you quickly handed him the parchment paper. " For you sir." he took the sketch. "The men are already waiting in the field for you." you walked away. In his hands was a sketch you made of him. You caught his likeness so well.

The day was spent marching, practicing fire, and just relaxing as a group. Once it started to get dark you all went back to holy ground.  Everyone was tired and exhausted and went to bed. You still had energy, Simcoe sat next to you. For once in a long time you and him had a full and long conversation. Once it started getting too late, he excused himself, he didn't rush past you like he used to do. He left as an equal, he met your eye.

The following morning Simcoe approached you wile you were cleaning your musket, he gave you a paper, with a poem on it. The poem was short and sweet. He took time making it right. You folded it and put it in your pocket, to always have it close. At night you reread the poem, it made your chest warm and heart melt. You felt safe.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time began to pass by and soon enough Simcoe was now a Colonel. You both got closer and closer everyday that passed. Falkoff was quick to find out about how serious this was. Simcoe was cautious about coming off or too forward with this relationship. He wanted to take it slow, you respected that. Then one day, he asked you to his to his tent.

He spoke a most beautiful poem to you and in that moment you walked close to him and leaned up to kiss him, he kissed back. That was your first kiss and the most wonderful and passionate one at that.  The following day you and Simcoe went to Mr. Rivington's establishment, you were reading as he sat observing when a man walked in. You looked up and recognized him to be Major Hewlett.  He returned from the mainland. You looked to Simcoe and knew he had a plan brewing behind his eyes.

He sent Brant and Elwood to kill Hewlett, Simcoe would stay the night with you. You would be his alibi, and provide time to be just the two of you. Brant and Elwood walked out of camp and began on there way as Simcoe walked into his tent. You made sure no one was looking when you walked into his.

"Simcoe."

"John. Please."

"John." You looked at him. Really looked at him. You walked closer to him. Closer. You slowly placed your hand on his chest. You breathed in and out. He put his hand over your own. You looked up at him, making eye contact. He leaned down and softly kissed your lips. Your hand traveled up and to his neck, then to his cheek. He broke from the kiss but you kissed back. You got closer to him. He wrapped his arms around you and lifted you up. You wrapped your legs around him. He carried you to his cot and laid you there.

"John..." you whispered. "[y/n]..." He kissed you down your neck and to your chest. He made (hard or soft) love to you.

You laid there, next to him. Hand on his chest. Then Falkoff's voice came from outside. Simcoe covered you with a sheet before going outside to talk to Falkoff. Simcoe returned into the tent. Brant had returned with Elwood's body. Major Hewlett killed Brant.

Over time you got information about Woodhull from a corporal Reid in Arnolds American Legion. Simcoe had many closed calls with death. But then he was shot bad.

You and the men rushed to him. He told the men to flee. He asked you to stay behind. He suggested the worst, that you run off with Falkoff as he thought he was going to die. You refused. He informed you he would be sent to England and that he would ride on the Bonnetta. You promised to get on ship yourself and find him.

Instead he found you the day before you were set to sale for England. He found you in York City and asked you to go to Canada with him. You were happy to go. And it was there in Canada that you would both live out the rest of your days.
