Chapter Ninety-Five
⚔ Pressure Test ⚔
"I'm not letting them out. We've got two bodies covered in slash marks. They confessed to killing two people." Stilinski said as they all stood around his office. "Hunters." Azalea corrected, "People, Azalea. Self-defense or not, they're still here. The other guys are dead. And there's a process I have to follow." Stilinski corrected her making her sigh.
"You know what's happening around here. It's not safe for them." Scott said, "This may actually be the safest place for them in Beacon Hills. At least I can protect them here." Stilinski said and Lydia raised her eyebrows at him. "Would Stiles think that?" She asked and Malia nodded slightly, "Especially if one of your deputies is working for Gerard?" She asked and Stilinski shook his head.
"I'm not buying that. I know these deputies like the back of my hand. I know their families, their kids, their brothers and sisters... I know who they are, and I trust them." Stilinski said as they all kinda glanced back at the Deputies through the window.
"You know who they were. There's something out there. Everyone's afraid, and it's getting worse." Liam said and Scott nodded, "Yeah, you can't protect two Werewolves from Hunters if they're already on the inside." Scott said and Stilinski was quiet for a moment before turning to the girl who sat on one of the chairs.
"It's Quinn, right? You sure it was a deputy who shot you? Absolutely one-hundred-percent sure?" He asked and she nervously glanced around before nodding. "I saw flashing lights... a police car... I-I saw a badge, a gun, and then they shot me. They shot me in the head. And that's all I remember." Quinn explained making Stilinski sigh softly.
"There are a couple holes in her story." Stilinski said and Lydia gave him a look, Maybe because there's a hole in her head." Lydia said and Malia started laughing making everyone look at her weird. "No, no. Not the right time." Azalea said in a slight whisper making Malia's eyes widen slightly as she glanced at everyone, "...I'm sorry."
"Sheriff, we need to get Jiang and Tierney out here before anyone realizes that they're here." Scott said and Stilinski raised his eyebrows, "And take them where? I can't let them go."
"But if you keep them here, they're-" Lydia went to say but Stilinski cut her off, "Look, if there's a problem-" He started saying saying but this time he was the one who got cut off. This time from a bright light shining through the windows. Azalea quickly walked over to the window and peaked out through the blinds.
Outside the station stood Monroe and a bunch of other hunters behind her with lots of guns. "There is now." Azalea said as she turned back to everyone with wide eyes.
"Get away from the windows! Put those guns away." Stilinski said, walking out his office making some Deputies step away from the windows and put their guns away. "I'm guessing you know who's out there." Parrish said as he walked up to Stilinski who turned to him, "I got a pretty good idea."
"They'll be armed to the teeth." Parrish said and Stilinski nodded, "Which means I won't be." He said before setting his gun down on the desk. "I'm going with you." Parrish said and Stilinski shook his head, "No, you're gonna get some deputies, check the exits, and hope we're not completely surrounded. And keep an eye out- let's make sure we're all on the same side, here." He said making Parrish slightly glance around at the other Deputies.
"Monroe's here?" Stefan asked as he and Anya walked up to Azalea who sighed, "Monroe and a dozen hunters." She said making him sigh and glance at Anya. "Told you, you should have stayed home." He said making Anya raise her eyebrows at him while putting her hand on her hips. "She's gonna kill you before the hunters do." Azalea said before walking back into the office.
"We have to get out of here." Malia said panickedly, "Give him a chance. He knows what he's doing." Scott said. "I am giving him a chance. He can talk all he wants, but we have to get the hell out of here." Malia said completely freaked out making Azalea look at her worriedly, "How do we get Jiang and Tierney out?" Liam said and Malia shrugged.
"Screw them. It's Stilinski's job." She said and Scott looked over at her, "But it's our job to keep them alive." Scott said and then the door opened making them look over to see Theo walking in. "Not mine." He said and Liam took an angry step forward, "Do you want me to just kill him?" He asked and Malia rapidly shook her head.
"No, just leave him. Can we please just go?" Malia asked making Azalea furrow her brows and gently grab her Malia's arm, she was about to say something but Quinn spoke up. "We're not going anywhere. Don't you get it? We're trapped. They have all the windows and doors covered. We're going to die in here." She said.
"Does someone want to kill her?" Theo asked and Malia threatened took a step towards him, "Shut up!" She yelled making their eyes widen. "Malia, hey. Take a breath. You're shaking." Azalea said and Malia shook her head, "I'm fine." Malia said.
"Guys, there's only a dozen of them out there. We can take them!" Lydia said and Azalea scoffed slightly as she looked out the window again, "A dozen of them comes with probably twice as many guns. I mean, I can get people out by going in visible but it'll be a process. I can only do one at a time." Azalea said.
"Scott, they're the last of Satomi's pack. We can't leave them behind." Liam said and Scott was quite for a minute as he glanced at all of them before glancing at Azalea who shrugged slightly. "Okay. We go. But Jiang and Tierney are coming with us." He said.
"You ready?" Scott asked as they all walked over to one of the back doors. Lydia nodded while Malia let out a small growl and Liam flicked his claws out. Azalea flashed her smokey grey-silver eyes and Scott smiled at her before grabbing her hand. They all turned to Theo who glanced at all of them before sighing and holding a clawed hand up.
"Nobody's going anywhere." Stilinski said making them all turn around to look at him, "We can get through them. Real easily." Azalea said gesturing to herself and Lydia. "We're not gonna fire the first shot. Now, get back from the door. All of you. Parrish, get these two back in their cell." Stilinski said and Parrish walked over to Tierney and Jiang while Scott and Azalea walked over to Stilinski.
"What happened?" Scott asked and Stilinski sighed softly, "She gave us 'til midnight." Stilinski said making Scott and Azalea glance at each other.

"I still don't have any service." Quinn said as her, Lydia, Anya and Azalea sat in a back room listening to radio static, "That's because it's jamming all our cell phones." Anya said as she messed with the radio slightly.
"What about the radio?" Quinn asked and Anya sighed, "All I'm getting is static." She said making Quinn's eyes widen slightly. "Are they jamming that, too?" She asked and Lydia shrugged slightly, "It's not easy to find a jammer capable of disrupting a law enforcement transceiver... Unless someone had access to it." Lydia said making Azalea sigh as they glanced around at everyone trying to barricade the station.
"Someone in here." Azalea said and Lydia nodded. All of the sudden all the lights shut off making everyone glance around, "That can't be good." Lydia said as Azalea walked out to where everyone was standing. "How easy is it to cut the power in a Sheriff's station?" Malia asked and before Stilinski could answer someone else did.
"Too easy!" Deputy Vargas said as she slightly tossed Nolan to the ground while she held some bolt cutters. "Throw him out!" Liam said as he stepped forward and Nolan quickly shook his head, "No, you can't. Okay? Please, don't! She'll know I screwed up." He said.
"He's with them." Liam said and Scott gave him a look, "Liam." He said in a slight warning. "He's a liar, and he's sick in the head." Liam said and Azalea lightly grabbed his shoulder to keep him from doing anything as Stefan looked at Scott. "He's right. Nolan's one of the people who attacked him at school." He said.
"And now he's under arrest. Lock him up." Stilinski said and Parrish nodded before walking over to Nolan and pulling him away.
A little while later Azalea stood with her back against Scott's chest, his arms around her. Parrish glanced back from where he stood when he heard a slight thud before noticing a grenade on the ground making his eyes widen. "Everyone get down!" He yelled and Scott quickly pulled Azalea down and covered her from the explosion.
"What the hell was that?" Malia asked as everyone started to stand up, "A distraction." Scott said. "They said midnight!" Stilinski said angrily and went to move the barricade but Parrish stopped him, "The grenade came from in here. It was one of us." He said and then Liam came him dragging Nolan.
"Wolfsbane. He was trying to kill them." He said holding up a vial of a purple liquid, "Scott, there's something else you need to see." Liam said before leading them to the cell room.
"Show him your eyes." Liam said and Tierney and Jiang didnt look up at them, "We never said we were innocent." Tierney said. "Show me." Scott said but they still didnt look up at them, "SHOW ME!" He roared slightly and this time they looked up, flashing their eyes.
Their blue eyes.

Azalea stood next to Lydia, talking to her, Quinn, Malia and Anya when all of the sudden an arrow goes flying through the window causing some people to scream. They walked over to it right as Malia ripped it out if a pillar and pulled a piece of fabric off it.
Liam grabbed it and unfolded it to show it was a bloody Davenport Prep lacrosse jersey, "This is Brett's number." He said and Azalea sighed. "They're trying to rattle us." She said and Theo nodded, "It's working." He said making them look at Liam who flashed his yellow eyes.
Before anyone could do anything a loud scream traveled through the station making Parrish and Stilinski run off to one of the back rooms.
"That wasn't just panic. It's in here with us." Lydia said as she looked at the two dead bodies of Deputies that Azalea was crouched down next to. "What do you mean?" Stilinski asked and Azalea stood up, "Whatever's causing the fear." She said and Lydia nodded. "The same thing that drove the wolves to kill each other. It's here with us." She said and Azalea nodded in agreement.
"Guys, it's almost midnight. We're out of time." Scott said and Stilinski sighed, "I've already got two bodies. I'm not giving Monroe two more." Stilinski said and Azalea and Scott looked out as the bodies in thought before looking at each other, seemingly thinking the same thing.
"I watched two guys bring them in and tie them up." Theo said as he followed Scott, Stilinski and Azalea, "Okay, but how long did they actually have Tierney and Jiang?" Scott asked. "A couple hours, maybe?" Theo said and Azalea turned to him while Scott looked out the window, "Did Monroe talk to them?" She asked and Theo shook his head.
"No, I don't think so. Just that guy from Eichen House, maybe one or two other guys with shotguns. I think they were waiting for Monroe to do the real interrogating." He said and Scott and Azalea looked at each other, "So, she might not have seen them." Azalea said and Scott nodded.
"What are you guys getting at?" Stilinski asked and Scott sighed, "We got an idea. I don't think you're gonna like it." Scott said and Azalea nodded in agreement. "If it keeps someone from getting killed, I'm pretty open." Stilinski said and Scott looked over at Azalea for a moment before looking back at Stilinski and explaining.
"Monroe said that she wanted Jiang and Tierney brought out. Dead or alive." He said and Azalea nodded, "And right now we have two dead bodies. We can put them in body bags and say Tierney and Jiang tried to attack someone." Azalea explained and Stilinski thought about it for a moment before nodding.
"That might work." He said before telling a few people who get the bodies and the bags. A few minutes later they had the bodies laying I'm body bag in front if the door. Stilinski pulled his gun out and raised it up and shot at the ceiling a couple times before putting the gun away, "Five minutes." He said and they nodded before zipping up the bags.
Azalea was in between Scott and Theo as they were crouched down next to the bodies outside as Monroe walked up to the. "They tried to run. And tried to take a couple deputies with them. Either way, you got what you wanted." Stilinski said and Monroe looked at him, "Let me see their faces." She said.
Scott, Azalea and Theo glanced at each other and Stilinski nodded a them. They sighed before Scott and Theo slowly unzipped the bag and Monroe just stared at the bodies for a moment making Azalea raise her eyebrows. "What? You don't recognize them?" Azalea asked and Monroe glanced at her, "Show me their tattoos." She said making Azalea glance at Scott.
"What tattoos?" Scott asked and Monroe looked at him, "The pack symbol." She said. Scott, Azalea and Theo slowly glanced at each other slightly alarmed, "I was hoping for a fight." Theo muttered and Azalea nodded slightly, "Looks like we can finally agree on something." She mumbled.
"Good thing you're not the only ones who can negotiate." Some said making everyone turn to see Agent McCall walking up to them making stand up while Scott just looked at them confused. "Dad? What are you doing here?" He asked as him and Theo stood up as well and Agent McCall looked at them.
"Making sure no one else dies tonight."

"Scott, are you sure about this?" Stefan asked has they and Agent McCall all as good around Stilinski's office, "I'm not. This deal sucks." Liam said. "But it's the only one on the table. In a situation like this, the best solution is always to de-escalate. It's why you called me, isn't it?" Agent McCall asked as he looked over at Stilinski who shrugged slightly, "Honestly, I didn't think anyone was gonna show up." He said.
It was quiet for a moment as Scott glanced at everyone before looking back at his dad and nodded, "Okay. We'll go." He said making everyone look at him.
A few minutes later they all walked out of the station and then Agent McCall came out with Tierney and Jiang and led them over to his transport van. Jiang got in and Tierney looked over at them with a smile before mouthing a "thank you" making them all smile softly at her. She climbed in and Agent McCall tapped the window and the van started up.
Monroe looked away from the van and at the pack who looked at her as well. Azalea held up her middle finger for a second before sighing and turning to Scott, "I hate everyone." She said as she grabbed his hand.

"I'm not mad. I get why you did it." Scott said looking at his dad, "Scott, you're not the only one who gets to protect his family." Agent McCall said before Azalea walked into the room.
"I'll be downstairs." Agent McCall said before walking out and Azalea walked into the room. "Need any help?" She asked and he nodded slightly, "Yeah, but in a minute." He said before grabbing her hands and pulling her closer to him. She smiled at him before he pulled her into a kiss.

Mason runs into the clinic and instantly sees Corey, "You told me you were leaving!" He said and Corey looks at him with a regretful look, "I had to." He said. Mason walked up to him and pushed him gently, feeling both upset and betrayed at his boyfriend's lies, "You lied!"
"We all did." Someone called out making Mason turn to the examination room to see Liam, Scott, Azalea, Malia and Lydia, who all have apologetic expressions on their faces. Theo is leaning against a wall while listening to their conversation as Mason looks appalled with this unexpected turn of events, "So this was the plan all along?" He asked.
"Sorry, Mason. My dad had to believe we left Beacon Hills. Everyone has to believe it." Scott said and Mason nodded slightly, "Then what happens next? We fight back now, right?" He asked and Scott looked at him in amusement.
"What did you think we were gonna do... Run?"
