Chapter Eighty-Seven
⚡Eighty-Seven⚡
Azalea watched in amusement as Malia punched the shit out of Theo over and over. "It's okay. You don't have to stop." Theo said breathlessly and Malia growled at him, "Trust me- I won't." She said before punching him again.
Scott went to step up and stop her but Azalea held her hand up and shook her head. "Hold on" She said and watched Malia punch Theo a few more times before sighing softly and nodding. "Alright, I'm satisfied." She said before walking over and pulling Malia off Theo when she unleashed her claws.
"Okay Malia, that's good." Azalea said as she and Scott pulled Malia back making her growl at them. "Slow down, okay? He's going back into the ground." Scott said and Liam stepped forward, "You can't. He remembers Stiles." He said making Malia furiously turn to him
"Scott remembers Stiles. Azalea, Lydia and I remember Stiles." She said and Liam sighed softly, "The Dread Doctors knew all about the Wild Hunt. He can help us." Liam said making Azalea scoff. "Or, he could kill us. Wouldn't be the first time." She said, "He's my responsibility. Noshiko gave me the sword." Liam said and Theo sighed. "It's so awkward when Mom and Dad fight." He said making them look at him. "Shut up!" Malia, Liam, Scott and Azalea said at the same time and Hayden walked over.
"You both are right. If Theo tries anything, we'll send him back to the Skinwalkers. But, for right now-" She says but Scott cuts her off, "He goes back now." Scott said. "Except Liam's the one with the sword." Theo said making everyone look at him,
"Shut up!" They yelled.
Scott grabbed Liam by the wrist and leads him into the living room to talk, leaving Azalea, Malia, Hayden, and Theo in the back room. Malia walks toward Theo, making Hayden to step between them to stop her. "Malia..." Hayden said slowly.
"Can you give Malia and I a second alone with my nephew?" Azalea asked and Hayden raised her eyebrows, "Why?" She asked and Malia looked at her like it was obvious. "So we can kill him." She said, "Okay look. I know that there's mixed feelings all around. But I might be your only option to stop the Wild Hunt." He said making Azalea squint her eyes and think for a minute before humming.
"Tempting but not tempting enough... I'm still gonna kill you." Azalea said and Malia nodded in agreement.
"I can put you back in the ground any time." Liam said as he stood in front of Theo holding Kira's sword. Theo looked at the sword and sighed softly, "You also need a transformer that can handle five billion joules of electricity. I know where to find one, and I can show you how it works. I'll tell you if Azalea and Malia promises not to kill me." Theo said making Malia growl under her breath while Azalea scoffed.
"They promise." Liam said making Azalea look at him crazy, "No we don't." She said and Malia nodded in agreement. "We're really gonna do this? Trust him?" Malia asked and Hayden shrugged, "You got a better idea?" She asked
"I've got an idea. It may not be better... But at least it's not him."

"Are we really going to trust Theo?" Azalea asked as she laid down next to Scott, slightly on his chest, "Should I even waste my breath listing off everything he's done?" She asked and he sighed softly. "I don't trust him anymore than you do, but he knows more about this than any of us. It's worth a shot." He said as he gently traced circles on her arm.
"What if it doesn't even work?" She asked and he nodded slightly, "It will." He said and she chuckled and cocked an eyebrow. "Since when has any of our plans worked out without something not going to plan?" She asked and he went to say something but stopped when he couldn't think if anything making her hum.
"I'm sure there had to have been at least one plan that worked without going wrong." He said and she shook her head, "I don't think so." She said and he sighed. "This one is going to work... I hope." He said making her chuckle as she lightly grazed her thumb across his jawline.
She stared at him for a moment before smiling softly, "I wanna move with you after graduation." She said making him look at her slightly shocked. "Really?" He asked and she nodded making him smile, "Thank god." He mumbled before pulling her into a kiss.

Liam, Hayden and Theo, who had chains marking his wrists, walked into the transformer shed and Hayden chuckle slightly when she saw that Scott, Azalea, Mason and Corey had everything set up. "You did it." She said and Mason nodded, "Of course we did it." He said as Liam took the chains off Theo.
Theo instantly walked over to the transformer and turned it on, "This thing can transmute the energy from a lightning bolt. Even successive strikes." He explained and Scott walked back over to Mason. "Mason, are you sure this is gonna work?" He asked and Mason nodded slightly, "Well, whatever's inside this cage is shielded from any outside electrical current. So, the Ghost Rider won't be able to use lightning to escape." He explained.
"We put a lightning rod on the roof and connected it to that conduit cable, drawing the Ghost Rider to that spot." Corey said as he pointed at the roof making them all look at what he was talking about. "We can't send him directly in because the cage neutralizes electromagnetism. Lightning will just bounce off of it. Which is the same reason it'll hold him in." Mason finished.
"If the Ghost Rider lands here, how do we get him in the cage?" Scott asked and Corey sighed softly, "We have to lure him in." He said and Azalea raise her eyebrows. "Bait?" She asked and they nodded. "I'll do it." Hayden instantly said making Liam look at her worriedly, "It'll be okay. I'm faster than you." She said.
"As soon as Hayden's out, Scott and Liam, you guys close the gates. And then I'll put down a barrier of Mountain Ash." Mason went back to explaining, "I'll be on the roof to take down the rod." Corey said and Mason nodded. "We'll be on the lookout for any other Ghost Riders." Mason said and Liam looked at Scott, "What do you think?" He asked and Scott looked at him and nodded. "I think it's the best idea that we have right now." He said.
"As long as everything goes perfectly and he doesn't escape and kill us all."
"And your transformer works and the whole place doesn't catch on fire."
"And there isn't a catastrophic solar flare."
Theo, Azalea and Mason all said making Scott glanced at them all for a moment before nodding, "Let's do it." He said and Mason nodded. "Okay." He said before walking over to a table and turning a dial on a control box and the whole cage instantly became electrified.

It's night now and a strike of lightning hit the rod before a Ghost Rider appeared in front of Hayden. She quickly ran onto the cage, the Ghost Rider following her and she ran out the second door. The second the Ghost Rider got up to the door, Liam slammed the door shut before locking it.
The Ghost Rider spun around to see Scott running up to the first door before quickly closing it only for it to get stuck. "Come on..." Scott mumbled as he tugged on the gate door while the Ghost Rider walked up to him. It grabbed the door right as Theo ran up and started helping Scott pull on the door.
The Ghost Rider grabbed Theo's shoulder and when to pull him in the the gate moved slightly to where it was now stopping Theo from going in father. "Keep closing it." Theo groaned as the bones in his arm cracked. Azalea ran up, grabbing Theo by the back of his shirt and pulling him back slightly as her eyes turned her smokey grey-silver.
She held her hand up and a second later the Ghost Rider went flying back into the wall, "Close it!" She yelled and she and Scott quickly got the gate closed. Mason quickly ran up and put a line of mountain ash in front of the cage, "Go! Go!" Scott said and Mason ran out of the shed.
The Ghost Rider stood up and went to grab his gun only to discover it no longer in it's holster. It looked over at Azalea to see her holding up the gun with a smirk on her face. Thunder rumbled loudly as the Ghost Rider raised it's arm up and lightning hit the rod before hitting the metal cage but it just traveled around the cage and the Ghost Rider didn't go anywhere.
"It actually worked." Azalea said, impressed and Liam nodded, "We did it." He said as Scott sighed in relief. "Yeah, we did."
"Now, what do we do?" Theo asked after a couple minutes and Azalea shrugged slightly, "Try and talk to him." She said. "Mr. Ghost Rider?" Liam asked before clearing his throat, "Mr. Rider?" He said making Scott, Azalea and Theo look at him weird. "You're focusing on formalities right now?" Azalea mumbled and Liam ignored her, "We'll let you out if you tell us how to get our friends back." Liam said.
"Everyone. We want everyone back." Scott corrected and Liam nodded slightly, "Tell us how to get 'em all back." Liam said and Theo scoffed. "This is the plan?" He asked incredulously, "There wasn't a plan for this part of the plan." Liam whispered anxiously.
"It's okay. Look, we got him trapped. He can't get out. We just have to figure out how to communicate with him." Scott said and stared at the Ghost Rider for a moment, "Maybe he can't hear us." He said.
"Maybe he doesn't speak English. Ghost Riders are technically from a different plane of this world." Azalea suggested as she moved to stand next to Scott, "Maybe he only responds to pain." Theo said.
"Or fear." Liam suggested making Theo shake his head, "Nothing's gonna scare this thing. Look at him. He's a walking corpse." Theo said and Liam furrowed his brows. "Something's wrong. Why'd he stop trying to get out?" Liam asked.
Almost as soon as he said that the Ghost Rider let out a loud voice making them all look at him confused and alarmed. "Did he just call for backup?" Theo asked as Scott grabbed Azalea's arm and pulled her closer to him. "When Corey made the Ghost Rider visible at the party, another one showed up." Liam said and Scott nodded slightly.
"We have to figure out how to talk to him... or else get the hell out of here."

A little while later Parrish slowly walked into the transformer shed and over to the cage making the Ghost Rider step forward. "That's progress..." Theo said, "Ask him how we get everyone back." Azalea said and Parrish didn't take his eyes off the Ghost Rider.
"Tell us how we get everyone back." Parrish said and the Ghost Rider made a noise making the teens glance at each other. "What was that?" Liam asked, "Did he say something?" Scott asked and Parrish nodded. "He said Hellhound." He said making Theo raise his eyebrows, "Is that a good thing?"
"Ask him again." Scott said and Parrish looked at the Ghost Rider again, "What do you want from us?" Parrish asked.
"We are the Wild Hunt. We hunt forever. Those who hunt with us hunt forever."
The Ghost Riders voice echoed making them all look at him confused, "What does that mean?" Liam asked. "Tell us what you want." Parrish demanded again.
"We are the Wild Hunt. Those who hunt with us hunt forever."
"That clarifies things..." Theo sighed and Scott stepped forward slightly, "What do we have to do to get everyone back? Do you want something from us?" He asked and the Ghost Rider turned to him and just stared at him. "Why's he looking at Scott?" Liam asked and Azalea sighed softly, "He figured out Scott's the Alpha." She said. "There must be something you want." Scott said.
"There is only the Hunt. No one resists. No one escapes."
"If they can't be bargained with, we're gonna have to fight 'em." Scott said, looking at Azalea, Theo and Liam who nodded before Scott turned back to the Ghost Rider. "I'm coming for my friends. I'm coming for everyone. I won't stop. I'll never stop until we get everyone back." He said.
The Ghost Rider says something in his rumbling language that no one seems to understand except Parrish, whose face goes blank as though he's in a trance. "Parrish? What's happening?" Azalea asked and Theo stared at them uneasily, "Scott..." he said slowly making Scott look at him.
The Ghost Rider's voice continues to rumble what seem to be orders until suddenly, Parrish begins to transform, the flames bursting out from within his body slowly consuming his clothing. His eyes are blazing their fiery orange-red color as he takes a deliberate step forward, resting his foot on the mountain ash barrier, which causes it to burst into blue flames as its mystical properties are burned away.
"What is he doing?" Theo asked wide eyed, "He's gonna set him free." Scott said. "Hey! Hey, Parrish! Parrish, stop!" Scott said as he and Liam pushed Parrish back and he just roared at them. Theo quickly went to grab Parrish's should but groaned on pain as Parrish burned his hand before forcefully shoving him to the ground.
Parrish started walking back to the cage but Scott and Liam quickly shot out and blocked him. "Yeah, we need to do something." Liam said and Scott nodded, "Yeah... On three. One. Two. Three!" Scott said before the use all their strength to shove Parrish out of the shed before he can burn through the mountain ash barrier. The two take off when Parrish starts running away on foot, leaving Theo and Azalea alone with the Ghost Rider.
"You okay?" Azalea asked as she held a hand out to help him up and he nodded, "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. I'm shocked that you care." He said and she sighed. "Don't get used to it." She said.
All of the sudden Mr. Douglas walks through the door, looking smug making Azalea tilted her head slightly as she looked at him. He seemed familiar but she couldn't place it. "Have you been here the whole time?" Theo asked and when Douglas speaks he doesn't sound like he normally does. Now he has a German accent. "How could I stay away?" He asked and Theo squinted at him while Azalea furrowed her brows
"Maybe you should tell them who you really are... Hauptmann." Theo said making Azalea glance at him confused and Douglas shifted before turning to Theo and Azalea. Theo's eyes widened before gently pushing Azalea off to the side before going to run off but Douglas instantly shot out, shoving his claws into Theo's back making him cry out on pain.
"Break the barrier." Douglas demanded before dragging Theo back over to the cage, "Break the barrier, or I'll rip you in two." He threatened. Theo groaned in pain as he glanced at the mountain ash before Azalea's eyes flashed her smokey grey-silver and Douglas suddenly groaned in pain slightly before looking over at her.
'I'd suggest you let your magic down before I kill your great nephew." Douglas said and Theo shook his head, "She doesn't care." Theo said and Douglas chuckled. "Oh, Azalea Novac does care. She always will have a soft spot for family, especially since she doesnt have much." Douglas said before putting a clawed hand to Theo's throat.
"Let your magic down, or I rip out his throat." Douglas said and Azalea glanced at Theo for a moment before sighing and letting her eyes go back to normal. "Now break it." Douglas said and Theo glanced at Azalea and she nodded slightly making him drag his foot across the mountain ash line.
Douglas smiled before shoving Theo towards where Azalea stood. Azalea grabbed Theo's arm and slightly stood in front of him as Douglas pulled opened the doors of the cage. "It's been a long time." He said as he circled the Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider instantly pulled out a whip before swinging it at Douglas who just grabbed it making Theo and Azalea's eyes widen.
Douglas pulled on the whip making the Ghost Rider stumble forward and he instantly grabbed the Ghost Rider by the neck. Douglas quickly leaned down and bit down on the back of the Ghost Riders head making the Ghost Rider wail.
Seconds later he dropped the Ghost Rider before digging his finger into where he bit. He pulled something out and stared at it for a moment before eating it making Theo's eyes widen while Azalea cringed. They slowly stood up as Douglas grabbed the Ghost Riders whip and walked.
A few seconds later Hayden, Liam, Mason and Scott walked into the transformer shed and instantly saw the dead Ghost Rider laying on the ground. Hayden glanced around before noticing a fully healed Theo.
"What did you do?" Hayden demanded making them look over at her before she grabbed Theo and shoved him against the wall. "Hayden, wait." Azalea said as she shot out to grab Hayden's arm, "It wasn't him." She said before looking at Scott. "It- It was Mr. Douglas." She said and Theo nodded, "He ate his brain." He and Azalea nodded in agreement as Scott crouched down next to the Ghost Rider.
"Scott was right. I was wrong. I'm sending you back." Liam said making Theo look down while Azalea shook her head, "You know that I, of all people, would vouch for Theo. But I am right now, it wasnt him." She said and Scott nodded slightly.
"It wasn't his brain- Mr. Douglas ate his pineal gland." Scott said and Mason nodded slightly, "It couldn't have been Theo. These murders have been going on for weeks." He said and Azalea sighed slightly. "That's not all he did." She said making them look at her.
"He took his whip too."
