This day was also spent settling all the marriage-related details that they didn't manage to finish yesterday.
Such as the matter of signing the premarital agreement. This marriage was not just about Noah and Levi. It was a union of two families and two cities. Trust between the two parties wasn't enough. Agreements had to be signed that would secure both sides from damage if things went south.
Luckily, the premarital agreement had been negotiated and settled on by the two families years before, and there was not much that needed to be changed with the change of the bride. After a few changes here and there and one final check from the legal teams of both sides, the agreements were sent to Noah and Levi to read and sign.
Noah wasn't privy to the details of the agreement since Aris was not supposed to be the one getting married, so it was his first time seriously going through it. The agreement was very extensive and covered both obligations and all kinds of different worst-case scenarios, such as one of the two parties dying. This serious and professional loophole-free tone continued throughout the document – all the way until the last couple of clauses.
Noah's eyes flew over the clauses, and then he doubled back to re-read them again, his expression turning strange. What's with these last few points? They had nothing to do with the two families!
Living together and raising a child together, he could understand. Not having extra-marital affairs, he could also understand. But what's with this requirement of sharing a bed? And what's this soft requirement about 'fulfilling marital duties between husband and husband"? What marital duties exactly?
And why was there a no-divorce clause? 🤔
