It's been months with you living with Tony. It felt like you had your happiness truly back, since he was really there for you the time when you broke up from your boyfriend who cheated on you.
It was a shame that, everyone thought Tony was a monster who sold weapons and destroyed everything, but in real life, he closed that company, moved on with his selfish attitude and focused to become a better person. He wanted to prove that he was changed, and yes. He's really trying.
He's a superhero with a real heart. It never compares with the arc reactor which saves him from those shrapnel reaching his chest.
Wait. Are those feelings which you are receiving from him?
You everytime, felt excited and explode with love when you saw his gentle presence. You want him to hug you, embrace you, kiss you and—
Listen! Just go talk to Tony about it, silly.
But, you were nervous. What if he rejected you back? Like your boyfriend did? You didn't wanted to end up like the last time. Scared and upset, you really wanted to express your feelings to Tony, but your other mind said he will not accept it. It just rotated inside your head, never ending.
You finally had the opportunity to ask him about it, you happily step out of your room, but..
Your happiness sank, the moment you saw Tony with.. a woman downstairs in the living room.
You slowly watched him talking and laughing with the lady sitting right next to him, who too skid close to his contact. You clenched your eyes and looked away, feeling maybe it was too late to show your feelings again. The more they skid close, the more your heart broke.
Your tears couldn't stop. It felt like you were betrayed this whole time. The moment you wanted to show your feelings, it all was fake when Tony was with the woman downstairs. You ran back to your room, slamming it shut, and tearing up in pain and sorrow. First, you were left by your boyfriend. Second, when it was the time to confess your feelings so you can be back again, it happened again. You were alone.
You even thought it was a matter of fact where he will take you out of his mansion soon, giving you a home, and then, leave all your feelings there in the home you now felt true.
You were not ready to accept it, and you squirmed in your blanket, weeping and crying loud. But, trying not to alert Tony, they were just not that audible.
"I'm such a dumbass. Great job, Y/N." You blamed yourself, wiping your tears with the pillow you were in.
— Time Skip —
Meanwhile in the workshop, Tony was working on his suit, but he remembers something and opened his AI, JARVIS.
"JARVIS, you up there?"
"Always at your service, sir." JARVIS illuminated at the screen.
"How's Y/N doing?" He kept working on the suit.
"Sir it's been hours, she hasn't come out of her room."
"What?" He dropped his wrench, facing the AI. "What happened?"
"I even don't know sir, I tried asking her but as to my shock, she even packed her bags again, and is laid on the bed. She was even crying. I never saw her so depressed again, sir. Really, she was just so happy here, but—" The AI suddenly shut down because Tony was now running faster upstairs to your room, breaching in.
"Y/N?" He gasped to see Y/N's bag packed, while she was all ready and dressed, and laid on the bed, looking depressed. She even had those soaked tear stains but everytime they were getting wet with the unstoppable tear from her eyes. Tony's heart sank, seeing her in this condition. He walks close to her, kneeling down and cupping her face in the direction.
"What happened? You weren't like this earlier.." He asked, gently. You didn't respond anything, and kept staring at him. He sighed, and wiped your tears. "If you won't tell me what's wrong, how would I know that you're still not over—"
"YES! I'M NOT OVER IT, OKAY!" You screamed at the top of lungs, making him slightly back off. You suddenly get back in your senses, as you cried loudly. Tony furrowed his eyebrows, seeing Y/N in huge pain. Not able to tolerate your tears, Tony pulled you in a hug, full of comfort. You stopped crying when you saw him doing that, each and every second your mind was changing. But, you just can't understand what to do.
He snuggled on your neck, pulling you closer. Your heart raced when he laid you on the bed, and brought his lips on yours. He pecked them slowly and with pure love, you gasping and falling for his affection.
"If you're trying to leave.. don't go.. please." He requested you not to move away, bringing his lips to work on your neck. Being in thought what even is going on, you slightly moan in pleasure. But, it was more love than it.
"W-hy are you doing this?" You shed tears but he looker back with sad eyes.
"I love you, Y/N. Why would I ever see you upset like this?" He replied. "It's my fault.. I was.. nervous too if I confessed you too, I would be rejected." He shook his head, and you gasped slightly. Whatever you thought was the same he was thinking about. Both were nervous to confess their feelings to each. Tony knew you were having a breakdown for your ex-boyfriend leaving you behind, but now, he wished to hold your hand instead.
"But.. the woman downstairs—"
"That woman was just someone whom wanted to pursue me. The way she was growing close, I felt uncomfortable by it. Even telling I gave up from my playboy activities, she wanted to use me." He sighed. "Attention seekers just use others for their own benefit, dear. But you were different from them all."
"I understand, you have faced a lot of difficulties, even me too. Death of parents to using others and then, moving on and trying to find love but.. getting nothing. Though I changed. They call me a monster still, you know? I feel, I never deserve this heart. It has just.. poisoned me and my own self. Wish if there was a way to remove it—"
"Tony!" You stopped him, cupping his face which too filled with tears. "This arc reactor makes you special. It made you who you are. It won't change you, or your heart, or your mind. You're still you. You gave up your weapon company, you gave up your playboy career, and everything. You sacrificed all, what you had, just to be a better person. If they still don't see your worth, then forget about them. People have different mindsets, and one of them just cannot be easily to understand."
You grab his hands gently. "You will always be my Tony Stark. No matter what."
Tony smiled when he saw you being happy back once again. He grabbed your waist and pull you close to face each other. "That's the optimistic girl I wanted to see."
"Tony I.. I really, really love you. You changed my life since the day I met you, you comforted me, and kept me here even if my home was taken away. I swear, never thought, that man could have used me, but you? You just cherished me and saved my respect. I will.. never forget you Tony.. never ever." You kissed him with pure need, being together forever, and he kissed your back. Both land on the bed again, unleashing every feelings you both caged inside. It wasn't full of hunger and lust, but true love.
After sometime, having your session, cuddled up with Tony, who held your hand tight, not letting you go. "I love you, sweetheart. I would never let you go. Never once in my lifetime."
"I love you too, Tony." You replied back softly, kissing his lips.
".. so.. do you want to be mine forever? Or wish to end up like you were again?" He raised his eyebrow, and you slapped his chest playfully and both giggled.
"Of course Tony. I will, and always stay with you forever." Your attention went towards a box that Tony brought with him, it was red in color and small, but inside was a whole lot of meaning.
He opened the box, taking out a ring, that you gasped and covered your eyes with your hands in utter shock.
"Give me your hand, baby." He smiled, accepting his plead, you forward it, sliding it on your ring finger. You laugh in excitement and hugged him tightly. He chuckled back, finally having a loved one who will never make each other disappointed.
"Don't worry, love. I'll take care of you." He kissed your neck, and then your lips, pulling you back to bed, drifting off to sleep together.
