Sydney said "you ready to take me grocery shopping?" He said "yes but first I want to make clear that I am forever grateful to Booker for saving you, and I'm trying to not be a jerk to him, but I am insanely jealous." She smiled. She said "yeah I was impressed at my party, you let him hug me and dance with me." Tom said "yeah and that was quite an effort, I mean I wanted to stab him with a fork, but I didn't." She laughed. He said "let's go."
Tom teased her at the store, saying all the things he wanted her to make him." After they got home, Tom said "so baby you want to get in the recliner with me and watch um " Sydney said "babe I love you but not bowling." He said "oh ok." She laughed. Sydney said "yes I will watch bowling with you."
Tom said "I'll go get us a blanket." He came back. They got in the chair, Sydney was asleep with in a few minutes. Tom said "this guy is really good baby, I think he's going to win" Sydney didn't answer. Tom looked, saw she was asleep. He laughed. He said "well that was fast." After the bowling was over, he shut off tv, he decided to not move her, cause she was sleeping so good. He just went to sleep.
Next morning it was 6:00. Tom said "Sydney wake up baby." He nudged her. She said "Tommy" He said "morning beautiful." She said "what it's not morning is it?" She looked around. She said "Tommy oh no I'm so sorry." He said "why what's wrong?" She said "I must have fallen asleep" He said "yes about 3 minutes in to the bowling and you were sound asleep." He laughed. She hit his arm. She said "Hanson why didn't you wake me up" He said "you were sleeping good, you need sleep baby." Sydney said "But I thought you wanted to um." He said "yes I always want to ok, but we don't have to, you were exhausted, and I'm happy that you slept soundly all night long." She said "I'm sorry." He said "Baby don't be it's fine. really." She said "Tommy do we have time for a shower?" He said "yeah if you want." She said "I'll race you to the shower." He laughed. He let her win again.
Tom said "Sydney I hate to stop but if we keep going we're going to be late. She said "yeah well we can wait until tonight? " He smiled. He said " yeah I'm down for that." Sydney said "let's go Hanson before we change our mind and then we will be late." They got dressed and left in Sydney's car.
Sydney let Tom drive. Tom pulled into the parking lot. Shut off the car. Sydney said "Tommy." He said "yeah." She said "do you think that the guys know?" He said "know what?" Sydney said "Hanson about what we've been doing?" He smiled. Sydney said "Did you tell them?" He said "no. I haven't talked about our private details, like you did." Sydney said "You aren't mad that I told Judy are you?" He said "no." He laughed. She said "Tommy she is like a sister to me, and I mean I didn't have any girl friends growing up, they all joined in with the bitch who made my life hell." He said "I know." Sydney said "What how do you know." He said "I meant I know cause you've told me that before Anyway I am not going to talk about our sex life to the guys, but yeah I'm sure they know, I mean if they didn't figure it out with us getting a hotel room, then I'm sure once they see you they are going to be able to tell."
Sydney said "What why?" He said "um they just will." Sydney said "Judy said I'm glowing, but I'm not Tommy." He said "um you sure about that?" Sydney hit his arm. He laughed. He said "baby your face, your eyes are like dancing, and I mean there is the part about your lips." Sydney said "what about my lips" Tom said "um it's not that noticeable." Tom started get out of car. Sydney stopped him by grabbing his arm. She said "Hanson what?" He said "your lips are a little bruised." Sydney said "what why." He laughed. He said "baby don't worry about it." Sydney looked in the mirror. She said "oh my God they are swollen, this is your fault" He laughed. Sydney said "Tommy I don't want the guys staring at me and laughing at me. Most of my life I have been stared at pointed at laughed at." He said "baby don't worry about it. They aren't going to stare or laugh at you ok. Trust me it makes them sick to know you and I are having sex. They aren't going to bring it up. Now let's go. If we're late they will think it's cause of that." She said "ok."
Tom took her hand and they went in. Doug and Harry said "hey guys." They said hey." Booker said "morning Sydney" She said "hi." Doug looked at Sydney and started to say something. She said "Doug you are being such a jerk." Harry, Booker, Doug all looked at her. So did Tom. Doug said "What did I do." Sydney said "you're staring at me. I thought you were my friend." Doug said "I'm not staring I was getting ready to ask you something, geez bite my head off." Sydney said "Doug I'm sorry. I thought you were staring. What were you going to ask me?" He said "forget it." Tom said "Doug she said she was sorry." Doug said "I was just going to ask you if you remembered the name of that red haired jock at McKinley high, from one of the first cases we worked together, the one that had the crush on you." Tom said "what the hell." Harry said "relax dude it was a long time ago."
Sydney said "yeah I remember him, he got me roses. He stole jewelry to give to me." Tom said "Sydney this guy sounds serious. Do I need to be on the lookout for him?" She said "no Tom. I told him I was flattered, but not interested, He then found out we were cops. What about him Doug?" He said "the case Fuller just gave me and Harry, his little brother showed up as a suspect." She said "oh that's crazy."
Judy said "Sydney you want to help me file all these finished reports." Sydney said "sure." Fuller said "morning Sydney Hanson." They said "hey." Fuller said "Hanson I don't see any of your reports on my desk." Tom said "yeah I'm sorry Captain, I was a little busy last week trying to plan Sydney's surprise party, I will get them done." He said "they need to be all done today, when I come in tomorrow morning I better have all of them." Sydney said "Tom you shouldn't wait till last minute to do them." Booker said "Sydney if you need any help with anything today, you can ask me, it looks like Hanson's going to be getting hand cramps from writing." Everyone laughed but Tom. He said "shut up Booker."
Sydney and Judy were filing. Sydney said "I feel bad for snapping at Doug, I was just Tommy told me my lips are bruised and I'm afraid they all know what we have been doing." She said "they do, but they aren't going to bring it up, it makes them sick to their stomachs." She laughed. Sydney said "that's what Tommy said. So I wanted to have a dinner party, for all of you. Have you all over to the house." She said "Sounds great." Sydney said "I saw this great Mexican recipe and I wanted to try it, but Tommy doesn't want me to cook if we invite Booker, and I told him we had to invite Booker." She laughed. She said "so pizza then?" Sydney said "yes but Tommy is letting me make brownies." They laughed. Sydney said "Tommy didn't want me to personally invite Booker, so I was thinking you could tell everyone, I was thinking Wednesday, since Tommy's bowling night is Thursday." She said "ok yeah I will go do that."
Tom came in to Fuller's office. He said "Sydney you ok." She said "yes. I feel bad for snapping at Doug." He said "it's ok." She said "Judy is going to invite everyone, I made it for Wednesday, cause your bowling night is Thursday." He hugged her. She said "Tommy you better get started on your reports, if you are going to take me to lunch. I wanted to try that new Mexican restaurant I was telling you about. I am still starving, I think it's your fault, you kept me so energized" He laughed and said "ok." She said "look when I get done I have a report to do, won't take me long, then I will help." He said "thanks baby"
Judy said "guys Sydney wants to have a dinner party, at their place on Wednesday. It's just going to be pizza though cause Tommy, long story." Tom and Syd came out. Harry said "Sydney about your party" Sydney said "if Wednesday doesn't work we can wait and do another day, but I want you to come Harry." He said "I can make it, I just wondered if I could bring a date." Judy converged on Harry. She said "Spill it Harry, whose the girl?" The guys laughed. Tom said "you better start talking Ioki the girls want all the details." Harry said "it's the girl I met on that case" Judy said "did she dump her boyfriend?" He said "yes." Sydney said "yes you can bring her, but I'm not sure I like her." He said "you haven't even met her." Sydney said "I know but you deserve the best. And I mean she was wanting to get with you while she was with her boyfriend, that's a red flag that she is ok with lying and cheating." Tom said "Syd's got a point, but baby he can't have the best, cause you're taken." Sydney said "you're sweet."
Judy said "I agree with Sydney. I don't think this girl is good enough for you." Doug said "geez ladies you need to at least meet her." Harry said "I appreciate your concern for me, but I really like her, and look I'm not saying she's the one, or that she will be the love of my life, but I am interested in seeing where this can go, so if you don't want me to bring her, I won't." Sydney said "no it's fine."
Doug said "so if Harry is bringing a date, can I bring a date." Sydney said "yes, but please don't say Dorothy?" He said "um yeah. We are back together." Judy said "again, I mean didn't you just break up again last week." He said "yeah but she called and asked me to come over." Sydney said "ok Doug, it's fine. I don't like how she treats you. always breaking up with you, but it's ok." He said "thanks. Booker you ready to go check that storage unit out." Booker said "yeah but hey guys is it ok if I bring a date, Maria and I have been seeing each other." Tom said "Booker yes you for sure can bring her that will be fine." Booker said "thanks." Doug said "so you still seeing her" Booker said "yeah it's not serious yet, but." Sydney looked at Tom.
Booker said "ok thanks guys. I'm looking forward to it. Let's go Doug." Harry said "Judy you ready to go interview that girl?" She said "yes let's go. Sydney I can finish filing later don't worry about it." Sydney said "I can finish it." She went in to Fuller's office. She was hurt cause she thought Tommy wanted to see Maria and he was supposed to have that date with her. She didn't want Maria to come and see Tom. Tom was working on his reports.
Sydney came out and sat at her desk. Tom said "hey Syd if you're ready to go to lunch I can take you now" She said "I'm not going to lunch, I have paperwork to do." Tom looked at her. He said "I thought you wanted to try that new Mexican restaurant." She said "no I don't." He said "ok. You said you were starving" She said "I know, but I'm not that hungry now. It passed."
Tom came over to her. He said "So baby, you wouldn't want to help your man out, and maybe make a trade" She looked up at him. He was leaning over her. She went back to her reports. "He said "if you do my paperwork for me, I will pick up your favorite dinner and have it ready, and give you a massage, even wash your car." He smiled. Sydney didn't look at him. She said "Hanson you need to do your own paperwork. I do my own, You're an adult and you need to do your own. You put it off, then expect me to do it, and I'm not doing it anymore." Tom said "hey Sydney I was teasing you. I don't expect you to do my paperwork ok." Sydney said "good cause I'm not joking I am not doing your work for you." Tom said "hey Sydney look I know I put off my reports, and you have helped me, and I have appreciated it, but I was just teasing you. I will get dinner for you and the massage ok"
Sydney said "Ok." He tried to kiss her cheek. Sydney said "Tom stop I'm working. Just cause you don't give a damn about doing your work and expect me to do it for you all the time." He stared at her. Tom said "ok you want to tell me what I did to piss you off?" Sydney said "I'm trying to work." He said "i know that, I was just trying to give you a kiss on the cheek." Sydney said "we're at work Tom." He said "yeah and we're the only ones here. Ok I'm sorry I'll let you finish your report." He went back to his desk. He was staring at her.
Sydney said "Tom stop that." He said "What I'm not doing anything." She said "you're staring at me." He said "I always stare at you. I have since first day when you're at your desk and I'm at mine." Tom said "Sydney tell me why your mad at me. Honey I really don't know what I did. If it's about the paperwork I was teasing ok. I'll do my own" Sydney said "forget about it, I'm fine. I just want to do my report in peace. I'm going to ladies restroom." Tom said "Sydney don't go."
Sydney was about to cry and didn't want him to see, so she hurried to bathroom. He said dammit. What the hell did I do. Tom followed her. He leaned on girls bathroom door. He said "Sydney." He could hear she was crying. He said "baby please come out and just tell me what I did. And don't say nothing is wrong cause you're crying." She said "Hanson go away." He said "no look either you come out and talk to me, or I'm going to come in there and talk to you." Sydney said "Tom don't." He said "ok." He went in. He said "Sydney." She said "Tom get out of here. You're going to get us in trouble." He said "Sydney we need to talk. I told you I was coming in if you didn't come out." Sydney said "Tom you can't be in here, if Fuller catches us in here, he's going to think that we are having sex." Tom said "we're not having sex we're talking, and no one is here, Fuller is gone for the day." Sydney said "go away." Tom said "no not until you tell me why you're crying."
Sydney left the bathroom, Tom followed her. She went to her desk. Tom said "Sydney iI must have done something to hurt you, to make you cry." She said "it's fine just ignore me. I'm sorry I was bitching at you. I'll do your reports for you." He said "no I'll do my own reports. I want you to tell me what I did to hurt you. Don't say it's nothing. You got to talk to me when I upset you, so that I know."
Sydney said "fine look Hanson I love you from the first moment I saw you, but I can't do this again. I'm sorry but I just can't." He said "ok slow down, you can't do what." Sydney said "sit back and watch you with your girlfriend. I just can't do it, it about killed me before." Sydney knew she messed up but at moment didn't care. Tom stared at her. Tom said "um explain what you mean, cause I don't get it. You're my girlfriend. You're my only girlfriend. And since when have you watched me with any of my girlfriends. That is impossible you couldn't have." Sydney said to herself just tell him say you're Michelle get it over with. End this lie. But she didn't say anything.
Tom said "Sydney you need to start explaining." Sydney said "Tom I meant the girl you were going to date , I don't want her in my home, and I am not going to sit there and watch you and her." Tom stared. He said "what girl, you're the only girl I have dated in Dallas, you've been the only girl I've wanted to date in Dallas. What the hell, who you talking about?" Sydney said "Doug's slutty friend Maria who you were going to date." Tom said "you've got to be freaking kidding me. What the hell. Sydney I was never going to date her. I told Doug that, he knew that. I was just trying to make you jealous. Doug said that he was going to ask you, and that you would stake your claim on me, which you did. You had said that you would never be my girlfriend, that I should go out and hook up, I was freaked out that I lost you cause I messed up and didn't tell you about Sal. Sydney I was never going to go out with her."
Sydney said "yeah that's what you told me and I believed you, until today." He said "what are you even talking about." Sydney said "why were you so excited to have her come over to our home, there is no reason to be trying to make me jealous so that's not it." Tom said "Sydney what I'm not excited to see her or trying to make you jealous. I don't understand ok. Please explain."
Sydney said "you jumped in before I could tell Booker no." He said "oh so you were going to tell her no then, why cause you are jealous over Booker don't want him having a girlfriend." She said "no I'm not jealous. How could you even ask me that I'm having sex with you." He said "well how could you even ask me that about her I'm having sex with you." Sydney said "well tonight you won't be." He said "so I'm in the doghouse?" Sydney said "yes Hanson I don't want to have sex with you tonight." He said "That's fine. I want you all the time, but you don't owe me sex any time ok." Sydney said "Good cause we're not having it You were thrilled to see her again." He said "I've never seen her, I was thrilled to have Booker have a date so he wouldn't move on you."
Tom said "look I'm sorry for yelling at you. Look I love you only you, I'm not excited to see her, I was excited to have Booker bring a girl, a potential girlfriend, I don't give a damn who the girl is, I didn't even think about it being Doug's hookup until Doug said you still seeing her, Honest baby, I just wanted Booker to have a girl, so that he's not fixated on you, and staring at you, trying to hug you, or fantasize about you."
Sydney said "Tom Booker is my friend." He said "I know that but I don't want him making a move on you, and I know he wants to." Sydney said "no he doesn't. He's never made a move on me. He flirted with me to get to you." Tom said "Sydney I'm a man ok, I can tell he wants you, and why wouldn't he. You are sexy, smoking hot, drop dead gorgeous, beautiful, sweet, loyal, loving, angel, one in a million. He wants you." Sydney said "no he doesn't."
Tom said "Sydney I swear baby I only said yes cause I was happy Booker was seeing a girl even if it's casual and not serious. So he focuses on someone other than you. I never even thought about the girl and I didn't realize you were going to say no. I mean you told both Harry and Doug they could bring dates."
Sydney said "ok I'm sorry, I just wish I never would have even brought up this stupid dinner,. Look you just entertain them and I will just leave come here or go to the mall" Sydney left and went out to her car. Tom ran after her. He said "Sydney wait up." He grabbed her arm. He said "baby no I'm not going to entertain them without you. Come here." He pulled her to him and hugged her. She cried on his shoulder.
He was kissing her hair. He said "baby please don't cry, don't be upset. Look let's just cancel." Sydney said "we can't do that" He said "yes we can, look I'll do it ok. I'll just tell them that I had something come up and that we have to cancel. Or I'll just tell Booker no." Sydney said "we can't do that. We can't tell them they can and tell him no. It would hurt his feelings." Tom said "I'd rather his feelings be hurt than yours. And there is no way I'm hosting a party without you"
Tom said "Sydney I love you only you baby. I've never been in love before. I am 100 percent committed to you. In love with you. You have nothing to feel insecure about. I'm sorry that I hurt you, by telling him he could bring her, I just was happy that Booker had a potential girlfriend. I swear I didn't even realize it was Doug's hookup" Sydney said "I didn't want you to see her again," He said "Baby I've never seen her." Sydney said "but you want to." He said "no I don't give a damn about her I wanted Booker to have a girl any girl." Sydney said "but I don't want her to see you again. She probably has seen you and she asked Doug to set you guys up and Doug asked me." Tom said "Baby no that's not what happened. Please believe me. Look we had our first big fight. I was panicking. You said that you would never be mine, that I could never win your love, that I needed go hook up. I went over to Doug's panicking, he told me not to worry, that you loved me, and that you would be jealous, and I could get you back. I told him that I would not ever date her, and he said he knew that. Sydney I swear on my dad's honor."
Tom kissed her. She said "I'm sorry Tommy. I just can't help but feel insecure and jealous." He kissed her. He said "it's ok, I can't help but be jealous over you. Look let's cancel I'll do it ok, so you don't have to. I'll do it in front of you. Cause I don't want you upset, and if this dinner party is going to upset you, make you cry, then we need to cancel it."
Sydney said "no we can have the dinner party, but I swear Hanson if she even looks at you or even talks to you, I'm putting laxatives in her brownies. Then she will be too busy in the bathroom" He laughed. Sydney said "I'm serious Hanson." He said "ok." Sydney said "I'll buy your lunch. I'm not hungry but you can eat." Tom said "Sydney will you try to eat a little, maybe a salad." Sydney said "ok."
Tom was trying to make her laugh, telling her corny jokes. She smiled but didn't laugh. Tom said "baby come on I hate to see you so upset and sad. You were so happy this morning." Sydney said "I'm fine. I just don't feel like corny jokes." He said "ok I'll stop," He kissed her.
Tom said "let's just cancel ok." She said "we can't." He said "why can't we." She said "cause that would be rude." He said "so I'd rather cancel if you're going to be upset." Sydney said "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." He said "I love you, only you. I was never going to go out on a date with her. That was all a lie just to make you jealous. I'll never do that again, try and make you jealous ok. I feel bad that I messed this up. I had no idea you were going to say no to Booker ok. So I said yes. You were so happy and now you're sad and crying. " She said it's ok Tommy. I'm sorry for being a bitch to you." He said "you're not, you were hurt, and it's fine."
They went back to the office. Tom had finally got Sydney laughing. Doug came in. He said "Sydney Dorothy said to tell you thank you for inviting her, she wants to know if you need her to bring anything." Sydney said "we are having pizza, and I'm making brownies, so if she wants to bring snack food or drinks that is cool." He said "ok." Harry and Judy came in.
Doug said "So Hanson you don't seem to have made any progress on your reports. I think maybe you need to sweet talk your lady." Tom was motioning to Doug to not say it. Doug saw him and stopped mid sentence. Sydney looked at Doug. She said "sweettalk his lady to what." Doug said "um uh paperwork." Sydney said "Hanson is an adult he can do his own paperwork, it's not my problem that he puts it off and doesn't do it right when he gets done, like I do." Sydney got up and left and went in Fullers office.
Tom said "thanks a lot Penhall. Appreciate that. I finally got Sydney laughing again and you go ruin it with your big mouth." Doug said "What did I say." Tom said "Judy can you help her. She's upset about the dinner party. I told her we should just cancel but she says we can't." She said "I don't follow." He said "she's upset that I told Booker he could bring Maria, cause thanks to Doug and his idiotic idea, she is worried that I almost was going to date Maria. I was never going to. I was trying to make Sydney jealous. There was never going to be a date. She is convinced that Maria is hot for me and asked Doug to set it up. Which is not true." Doug said "no it's not true. Look I was just trying to help you get her to see that she wants you and that she loved you. I thought she would stake her claim on you."
Tom said "Judy I'm worried about her. She was crying. She didn't hardly eat lunch." Judy said "ok let me go talk to her." Judy came in to the office. She said "hey girl." Sydney said "hey" She said "Tom told me you're upset about Booker bringing Maria. I get it, but honey you do know that there was never going to be a date, Tom was trying to make you jealous and wanting you to declare your love for him." She said "I know. But Maria probably wants Tom. And if she hasn't seen him she is going to take one look at him. I mean he is hot and sexy." Judy said "well you think he is, but Booker is pretty hot and sexy too." Sydney said "oh no Judy you crush on Booker " She said "yes I do, but I know that Booker is out with girls, and this girl isn't serious yet, and besides I am not going to ever date him. I mean my trust issues and his hookups, it wouldn't work, and I mean I won't consider it as long as we work together, cause it would end and then be a problem. So don't worry about it. Look Tommy said he would cancel the party so let him." She said "no I thought it up, I wish I hadn't of. I was just so happy and wanting to celebrate I mean me and Tommy together."
She said "i know." Sydney said "i told Tommy that if she talks to him I'm going to put laxatives in her brownies and he laughed and I said I'm serious, you should have seen his face." She said "I wish I could have. I bet he's like thinking oh no I better not ever make her mad." They laughed. Sydney said "I also put him in the doghouse. I mean I was mad and he was pushing me and yelling and he accused me of being jealous of her and Booker and I said how can you say that when I'm having sex with you, so he said the same to me, and I said well not tonight you aren't."
She said "good teach him a lesson, I know exactly what to do, you want to drive him crazy, and be totally focused on you, then torture him a little tonight." Sydney said "torture him how?" Judy said "come with me girlfriend. I have a perfect idea." They went out. Tom said "hey." Sydney said "hey I'm going with Judy awhile. I'll be back and help you with your reports." He said "don't worry about that. I love you. You have fun." She kissed and hugged him.
They went to Galleria. Judy said "ok girl let's take you to the lingerie department." Sydney said "I don't follow." She said "you'll see." Judy picked her out thong underwear with holes in the front, and a barely there bra, where her breasts hung out. Sydney said "hey I can't possibly wear that, I'd look hideous and ridiculous in it." Judy said "you need to get it, and then wear it to bed. Tommy won't be able to touch you, and then you will torture him, teach him to never ever look at another girl. Cause whenever he would even think about it, he's going to remember the long restless night where you drove him insane." They laughed. She said "i don't know Judy." She said "get it, do it." She said "ok but I'm not sure I can go all night without having sex with him. Now that we are having sex, it's just so awesome."
Judy said "ok then get it and make his dreams come true." They laughed. Sydney said "I' don't think I can wear this in front of Tommy, but I'll try. I hate for him to see me without clothes." Judy said "now you also need to find a short sexy dress, showing skin, so that Tom will be horrified you wearing it in front of the guys, and then you can tell him ok you won't wear it but if she hits on him and he talks to her, then you're going to put it on." They laughed.
