Sydney went home, and laid down and cried. She said I really how does this still hurt so much. How will I work with him. Maybe he won't stay. Judy came over. She rang the doorbell. Sydney didn't feel like going to the door. She laid there on the couch. Judy said "Sydney it's me Jude." Sydney said "just a minute." Sydney wiped her eyes, and then went an unlocked the door. Sydney said "hey Judy come in". Judy said "ok girlfriend you definitely need a hug." She hugged Sydney. Sydney was crying. Judy said "Sydney what is wrong." Sydney said "I'm fine. It's nothing." Judy said "ok if you don't want to talk about it, so I came to see how your mall trip was." Sydney said "it was ok. I got him styled up. He looks hundred times better." She said "Hanson is really really hot huh Sydney" Sydney felt sick. She said to herself. what if he and Judy hook up. It will be same thing, I will have to just watch. She said "So Judy are you wanting Hanson." She said "no, I think he is a hottie, but he's not me type, and he is definitely into you." Sydney said "why would you say that"? Judy said "cause it was quite obvious. He was falling all over himself, couldn't even think or remember his name one look at you." She laughed. She said "So the question is , do you like Hanson? I mean is that why you are so upset, and is that why you had a look of horror on your face when I said he is really hot." She laughed. She said "I know it's hard when you meet a guy who you think is so hot, and you think man I'd like to date him, but then you remember how badly your ex hurt you, and you just can't let yourself take the risk, is that why you are upset" Sydney said "yes. Hanson is hot. And he is even hotter after I got him a whole new wardrobe. And I mean the store clerk hit on him, tried to give him her number, so I know how it would be." Judy said "did he take it" Sydney said "no he said no and that she interrupted him talking to me." She said "how about we order pizza, eat ice cream, watch movies, and then you can tell me all about today." Sydney said deal.
Over at Harry's. They were eating pizza and drinking beer. Harry said "well I see you made it in one piece at least. I was kind of worried for you." Tom said "yeah I was worried too, she was really pissed. It took me quite a while before I got thru to her. I just wow. I really have never had any girl get to me like this. I mean I couldn't think straight, couldn't breathe, didn't even know my name, I felt sick to my stomach, my heart was racing, and my stomach was like on a roller coaster. I have never felt any of this. Girls I mean I've just not ever felt like this, or been in love.= Doug said "I feel kind of bad taking your money, here" He handed it to Tom. Tom said "a bet is a bet" Doug said "just take it"
Tom said "She is literally stunning. I just never have seen a girl like here before. Just took my breath away." Harry said "yes we have both been there. The first day she walked in to Jump Street. We pretty much made fools of ourselves over her, so we both understand. You can join the club of the guys who want to date her, but you do realize that you can't date her." Tom said "oh I know. I'm not really looking forward to having to see her man all over her, and to make matters worse he is going to be gunning for me, he wants to kick my ass." Doug and Harry stared at Tom. "Doug said what are you talking about." Tom said "her boxer body builder boyfriend".
Harry said "um what." Tom said "she said he will kick my ass. I mean I can fight, but not really a professional boxer. And I about threw up when she said how she keeps him happy and busy in bed." Doug and Harry both spit out their beer, and hit Tom with it. He looked at them. They said "sorry dude, but what are you talking about." Doug said "are you talking about some other girl, did you meet a girl at the mall"? Tom said "no I'm talking about Sydney why"? Doug said "Sydney does not have a man, where did you get that idea." Tom said "she told me." Harry said "what you must have misunderstood." Tom said "no trust me I wish I did misunderstand, the thought of her pleasing a man in bed, makes me throw up." Harry looked at Doug.
Doug said "Hanson word for word what did she say to you, don't leave anything out, who brought this conversation up." Tom said "um she did, she said you know Hanson, something about me being in big trouble, her man is very very jealous and obsessive over her, and that he would not like she being at the mall with me, but even more upset that I took her and bought her lunch at Mi Cocina., I messed up and said I thought you didn't have a man, cause I mean that is what you guys told me, and she said why would I think that, meaning I thought she was ugly, and couldn't get a man, and I said no I meant cause I didn't see a ring. Then she said he was a boxer, body builder, owned his own gym, and that he would definitely kick my ass because I was small. So I said I mean no disrespect to him and her, and that I hope that he treats her good like she deserves to be treated and that he was a lucky man, and she said no she was the lucky one, and he treats her good, and she keeps him happy and busy in bed." Doug said ok Hanson what is the deal?" Harry said "yeah just what did you do to her" Tom looked at them.
Tom said "what nothing I haven't done anything to her I swear." Harry said "what have you done to her? Her reaction to you today, was just too weird." Doug said "I agree, I thought something was up. Do you know her? Hanson if you do you better tell us, what did you do to her." Tom said "Doug Harry, I swear, I have never seen her before today. Trust me, She is the most beautiful gorgeous girl I have ever seen. Doug said "all I know is I have never seen Sydney immediately have such a hateful negative reaction to a guy, I mean she is usually sweet, caring, girl. She practically came out swinging against you." Tom said "i noticed that, trust me, her daggers of hate were directed straight at me, so yeah I noticed. And I am telling you I have never seen her before."
Harry said "you didn't go get drunk take her home promise you love her, and then hook up with her, then dump her did you" Doug said "Hanson I swear if you did, you are a dead man." Tom said "guys no, look I have had one nighter's ok, I have got drunk hooked up, and walked out, but I swear never with her. Trust me today was the first day I have ever seen her. My hookups and none of the girls I dated in high school or college ever looked like her. I swear on my mom's life."
Doug said "damn man then Harry I guess man this sucks. I swear." Tom said "what does." Doug said "you do Hanson. You come strolling in here Mr police officer in your full uniform, out of all the guys that have come in to Jump Street and hit on her, and you are what she likes, are you freaking kidding me." Harry said "man it is sickening. Maybe we should have worn our full uniform." Tom said "what are you guys talking about? Didn't you notice, she hates me." Doug said "no she apparently doesn't." Tom said "she doesn't?" Harry said "not if she created a boyfriend, I mean why else would she make up a boyfriend, unless she thought you were going to ask her out, and she was tempted to say yes"
Tom said "um what, you're saying she made up a boyfriend, to keep me from asking her out? Are you sure that she isn't dating some guy. I mean maybe she is dating him, and keeping him a secret from you. Maybe cause she didn't want to hurt your feelings." Doug and Harry said "no trust me, she isn't keeping some boyfriend a secret. She is not dating anyone. She is too afraid to date. Same with Judy. Both of them were really badly hurt. Sydney won't talk about it, except to say he nearly broke her, and she can't take a chance on it happening again, or she won't survive." Tom said "what kind of sick bastard could hurt her:" Harry said "trust me if we knew, we would kick his ass, she won't talk about it to us at all, won't even give us his name"
Tom said "so you're sure she isn't dating anyone, and you think she said it to get me to not ask her out, cause she may be tempted to actually go out with me? Do you think that is why she reacted with such hate today, I mean I didn't know what I was saying but I didn't think i said anything to make her think I said she was hideous."
Doug said "there is no man, and she is definitely not having hookups." Tom said " I don't know, you sure about that?" Doug said "you sick son of a bitch." Tom said "no I don't mean about the hookups, ok, I can see she is not that kind of girl ok. I meant are you sure she doesn't have a boyfriend? Cause she told me he was out of town today, but he was back tomorrow, and was taking her to to Star Wars movie, so did she make that up to" Harry said " well she didn't make up the movie, cause she is going with Doug, Judy, and I." Tom said "tomorrow"? Doug said "yep, we are going to Jakes. We usually do Jakes every Friday, get together as a group, unwind, talk about whatever, but since we decided to go first night for Star Wars, we decided to eat at Jakes on Saturday before the movie."
Tom said "Doug here you can take my money ok, look I'll do whatever you want, but can I come with you guys tomorrow night to Jakes and the movie, please?" Doug said "oh I don't know, I mean I would have said yes, but that was before you said Sydney said her man was taking her." Tom said "I know you don't want to embarrass her, I don't either, really I don't. But I want to see her again. Look she can blame me ok., I won't say a word about you knowing that she has a man, or that she said her man was taking her, she can blame me. please I will buy you beer, keep my $40." Harry said "why should we help you try and get Sydney, when we both wanted a shot with her." Tom said "please, look I'm not saying I can get a shot with her, but I just want to see her tomorrow." Doug said "ok we will do this, but you better not cross us. You better not let her know we know she lied about a boyfriend." Tom said "I promise. Thank you." Doug said "I really can't believe this, that of all the guys, and she goes for you."
Back with Sydney and Judy. Judy said "hey Sydney I should get home. But do you want to go to Galleria tomorrow, or did Hanson get you all shopped out?" They laughed. Sydney said "I could never be shopped out. Yes actually I was going to call and ask you if you wanted to go. I saw some cool outfits I wanted to get while I was waiting for Tommy. I planned on going back to try them on." She said "oh so it's Tommy now." She said "Tom Tommy, I don't know it just came out." She said "Tommy is cute name for you to call him, it can be your special name" Sydney said "Judy." She said "ok sorry, I won't tease you about him. Girlfriend, I just knew something was up, the way you totally went off on him this morning for no reason." Sydney said "what do you mean," Judy said "um you blasted him, called him names, he was just trying to shake your hand, and introduce himself. Even Doug and Harry felt bad for him." Sydney said "what was it that noticeable." She said "honey it looked like he was your boyfriend and you caught him flirting with another girl." She laughed. Sydney felt sick. She said "Oh no so did the guys really notice and Captain?" Judy said "yes honey everyone could see. I mean you are always usually sweet, and you just turned full bitch mode." Sydney said "well but he insulted my face, and said that I couldn't be a cop, wouldn't that upset you." Judy said "Sydney he didn't say that, look he was flustered ok, it was obvious, the minute you turned around, and he saw your face, that he was flustered, he could barely think straight, and he looked like he was about to throw up. He did not say your face was hideous, he said it was beautiful, he said he had never seen a girl so beautiful, you took his breath away, and he couldn't get the right words out. I mean he forgot his own name. He really likes you, and this is coming from a guy who said that he has never been in love and never been in a really serious relationship. That he has pride and he doesn't fall all over himself over a girl."
Sydney said "so he said he has never been in love, but he has had lots of girlfriends." She said "yes he said he had lots of girlfriends, and that the girls took it serious, but he did not, there was never any that he loved, or made him fell the whole nervous stomach butterflies heart racing love that he did for you. We all felt sorry for him, cause you were brutal." Sydney said "well I took it as an insult." She said "you can talk to me whenever. At first when I first saw your reaction to him, I thought maybe by some strange fate, that he was the high school guy who hurt you saw badly with that horrible prom joke. But then when Hanson said he didn't know you, nor had he ever seen you before., Look I am right there with you, I meet a guy, I think he is really sexy and hot, and I start thinking about him, and thinking man maybe me and him, but then I am almost paralyzed with fear, cause I think how would I really know if he was married, or had a girl, what if he did the same thing, and so I say no to the guy and try and forget about it. I can see that is what is up with you and Hanson, so just know that I am here for you, if you need to talk about it." Sydney said "thanks." She hugged her, and Judy left.
